Abstract
BACKGROUND Physical activity (PA) is important because of its associated health benefits. However, many Americans remain inactive. The 2018 guidelines recognize that PA bouts of less than 10 min are beneficial. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion created the Move Your Way® (MYW) campaign to provide PA resources for communities and healthcare providers. This study aims to describe the reach of the MYW campaign, and assess whether having seen, heard, or read (SHR) about MYW, or having seen the MYW logo, was associated with PA knowledge, self-efficacy, and behavior among Hispanics residing in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. METHODS Hispanics, aged 18-74, were surveyed at community events (n = 481) or via an online survey (n = 123). Respondents were asked if they had SHR of MYW, were aware of 2018 PA recommendations, and to report their personal PA behavior, PA knowledge, PA intentions, and demographics. RESULTS Respondents (71% female) completed a 38-42-item survey. Approximately (12.4%) had SHR of the MYW campaign and 16.1% had seen the MYW logo. Only 3.4% and 15% identified, "150 minutes per week" and "75 minutes per week" as the 2018 guidelines for moderate physical activity (MPA) and vigorous physical activity (VPA), respectively. Those who had SHR of the MYW campaign were more likely to correctly identify 150 min per week as the MPA guideline and had greater confidence in overcoming selected PA barriers. Regression analysis showed that those who had seen the MYW logo were more likely to meet strength guidelines, and that those who had SHR of MYW or saw the logo were more likely to know the recommended minutes of MPA. CONCLUSIONS Knowledge of the MYW program positively associates with some PA behaviors and PA correlates.

Abstract
Background: Studies have shown that vitamin E as an antioxidant protects omega-3 fatty acids (FAs) from oxidation. Several studies have evaluated the effect of omega-3 FAs and vitamin E co-supplementation on obesity indices; however, the results are inconsistent. The present systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to address the role of omega-3 FAs plus vitamin E on obesity indices. Methods: Cochrane Library, PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and Web of Science databases were searched up to February 2022. Among all of the qualified studies, 10 articles were selected. The effect size was presented as weighted mean difference (WMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Fixed-effects model was employed to perform meta-analysis. Subgroup analysis and publication bias assessment were carried out. Results: Ten eligible randomized controlled trials comprising 558 participants were included. The average dose of omega-3 FAs and vitamin E co-supplementation in studies was 1000-4000 mg/day and 400 IU, respectively. Intervention duration varied from 6 to 16 weeks. There was no significant effect of omega-3 and vitamin E co-supplementation on body weight (BW) (WMD=0.14 kg; 95% CI: -0.13 to 0.42; p=0.297), and body mass index (BMI) (WMD=0.08, 95% CI: -0.01 to 0.16, p=0.073). However, subgroup analysis showed that it might increase BMI in women over 50 years and if the intervention lasted more than 8 weeks. Conclusion: There was no significant impact of combined omega-3 FAs and vitamin E supplementation on BW and BMI; however, it should be noted that the intervention has an increasing impact when supplementation duration was >8 weeks and in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus, >50 years old, and BMI>25 kg/m2.

Abstract
This short review summarizes two studies that explore the association between coffee consumption, breast cancer, and mortality. The researchers found possible protective effects of coffee consumption and no association between coffee and increased risk of breast cancer. Nurses can help women who consume coffee to understand the current research regarding the relationship between coffee consumption, breast cancer risk, and mortality. Nurses can recommend referral to registered dietitians for comprehensive counseling on diet and cancer. Nurses can collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to help facilitate research regarding the association between coffee and breast cancer.

Abstract
Purpose To examine the association between all types of obesity, physical inactivity, and the risk of activity of daily living limitations in people with asthma. Patients and Methods In this cross-sectional study, data from 2555 people aged between 25 and 74 years were acquired from the National Survey of Midlife Development in the United States Refresher conducted between 2011 and 2014. Self-reported questions were used to specify the presence or absence of asthma and physical inactivity. All participants were categorized as having no asthma or asthma. Obesity was defined based on three distinctive indicators: body mass index, waist circumference, and waist-to-hip ratio. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that people with asthma who had all types of obesity alone or both all types of obesity and physical inactivity were significantly (P <0.0001) almost more than three times more likely to have limitations in the activity of daily living than those without this condition, even after adjusting for all covariates. Moreover, the odds of activity of daily living limitations were 1.69 times increased in asthma patients with physical inactivity alone, but this increase in risk was not significant (P =0.465). In addition, the odds of activity of daily living limitations were significantly (P <0.0001) more than twice independently in people with asthma aged between 60 and 74 years, female, undergraduate level of education, smoking, and having joint/bone underlying diseases. Conclusion The results demonstrated that the presence of all types of obesity is related to a higher risk of activity of daily living limitations in people with asthma than in those without asthma. Having both all types of obesity and physical inactivity are also linked to a greater risk of activity of daily living limitations in these patients.

Abstract
OBJETIVES The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of a 13-week COVID-19 lockdown on health-related parameters in women aged 60-70 years. STUDY DESIGN Thirty women participated in this longitudinal study. All the assessments were performed before and 13 weeks after the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain (March to June 2020). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES A sociodemographic questionnaire was provided, and tests were performed to assess muscle strength, anthropometric measurements, densitometry, blood pressure, blood parameters, Mediterranean diet adherence, and physical activity levels. RESULTS After the lockdown, both healthy and unhealthy lifestyle groups showed a significant worsening of HDL, cholesterol/HDL lipids, and isometric knee extension strength parameters. However, individuals with an unhealthy lifestyle also showed a significant worsening in LDL lipids, Non-HDL lipids, bone mineral density of the femoral neck, fat mass/height (%), truncal fat mass (absolute and percentage), total fat mass (absolute and percentage) and handgrip strength. CONCLUSIONS The COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the overall health status of Spanish older women, potentially increasing their susceptibility to comorbidities, such as lipid cholesterol, body fat, and decreased muscle strength.

Abstract
Background Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a consequence of the interaction of many pathophysiological processes, manifested by a decrease in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and abnormal kidney function. Sedentary behavior is associated with decreased kidney function, and regular physical activity could have the potential to reduce the risk of developing CKD, although this is not entirely clear. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between sedentary behavior and the development of CKD. Methods A search was carried out in different databases and metasearchers from January 2015 to June 2020 for cross-sectional, case-control, and cohort studies, in which the association of a sedentary lifestyle or physical inactivity with the appearance of CKD was evaluated in healthy people. Eight articles were obtained, including six cross-sectional studies, one case-control, and one cohort study. The quality of evidence for the main outcomes was assessed using the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) model. Results Most of the studies included in this systematic review agree that there is an association between a sedentary lifestyle and CKD; however, not all used the same definition of this disease, in the same way, the definitions of physical activity and sedentary behavior were different between these studies, as well as the methods of measuring sedentary behavior. Conclusion CKD could be associated with sedentary behavior in previously healthy people. It was not possible to determine a measure of association with the available scientific evidence, as the study designs were heterogeneous. Modifiable risk factors should be considered in different population groups to reduce the risk of CKD.

Abstract
A recent population cohort study reported that benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) was a risk factor for ischemic stroke. This study investigated the risk of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes in patients with BPPV. A nested case-control study used the data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service-National Sample Cohort between 2002 and 2013. We used data of patients aged ≥50 years obtained from the Korean National Health Insurance Service-National Sample Cohort between 2002 and 2013. A total of 15,610 patients with ischemic stroke and 4,923 patients with hemorrhagic stroke were matched for age, sex, income, residential location, hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia with 62,440 and 19,692 controls, respectively. History of BPPV was evaluated in the stroke and control groups. Crude and adjusted odds ratios (ORs) for stroke in patients with BPPV were analyzed using stratified logistic regression analysis. Subgroup analyses were performed for age and sex. Notably, 3.7% (572/15,610) of patients with ischemic stroke and 2.7% (1,702/62,440) of the control subjects reported a history of BPPV (P < 0.001). The adjusted OR for BPPV in patients with ischemic stroke was 1.35 (95% confidence interval (CI) 1.22-1.49, P < 0.001). Patients with ischemic stroke showed higher ORs for BPPV in the subgroup of women. Patients with hemorrhagic stroke did not show a high OR for BPPV. Ischemic stroke patients demonstrated the increased OR for BPPV in subjects aged ≥50 years old.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Overweight and obesity results in poor control of chronic illnesses such as diabetes mellitus. The main reason for being overweight and obese among patients with chronic illness is low level of physical activity. Thus, this study aimed to assess level of physical activity and its associated factors among type II diabetes patients at Dessie Referral Hospital, Northeast Ethiopia. METHODS A hospital-based cross-sectional study was employed from October 1 to November 25 2019 in Dessie Referral Hospital. The study utilized systematic sampling technique to recruit the sample population of 364 diabetic patients. Face-to-face exit interview was used to collect the data. The data were presented with text and tables. Bivariable and multivariable binary logistic regression was employed to identify independent predictors of low level of physical activity at a P-value of <0.05. RESULTS From the total study participants, 110 (33.1%) of them did not perform health enhancing physical activity. Patients whose body mass index was below 18.5 kg/m2 did not perform health enhancing physical activity twice more likely compared with patients whose weight was normal (AOR=2.36, 95%CI: 0.02-5.42). Patients who were depressed did not perform health enhancing physical activity five times more likely compared with their counterparts (AOR=4.83, 95%CI: 1.46-15.96). In addition, being widowed (P=0.037), living in an urban area (P=0.028) and duration of disease (P=0.020) were statistically associated with low level of physical activity. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS The level of physical activity among patients with type II diabetes was low. Being widowed, living in an urban area, being underweight, duration of disease and being depressed were independent predictors of low level of physical activity. Health education should be given in every visit to patients with type II diabetes. Promotion of physical activity through campaign should be done.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Breast cancer prevalence is growing worldwide. Many factors, such as diet and lifestyle could be determinants of the incidence of breast cancer. Coffee has been extensively studied in relation to several chronic diseases because of its multiple effects in health maintenance and its elevated consumption. We studied the relationship between coffee intake and breast cancer risk in the SUN (Seguimiento Universidad de Navarra) prospective cohort. MATERIALS AND METHODS We evaluated 10,812 middle-aged, Spanish female university graduates from the SUN Project, initially free of breast cancer. Coffee consumption was assessed with a 136-item validated food-frequency questionnaire (FFQ). Incident breast cancer cases were confirmed by a trained oncologist using medical records and by consultation of the National Death Index. We fitted Cox regression models to assess the relationship between baseline categories of coffee consumption and the incidence of breast cancer during follow-up. We stratified the analysis by menopausal status. RESULTS During 115,802 person-years of follow-up, 101 new cases of breast cancer were confirmed. Among postmenopausal women, more than 1 cup of coffee per day was associated with a lower incidence of breast cancer (HR 0.44; 95% confidence interval: 0.21, 0.92) in the fully adjusted model, compared to women who consumed one cup of coffee or less per day. We observed no significant differences in regard to premenopausal women. CONCLUSION Even though the number of cases was low, slight indications of an inverse association between coffee consumption and breast cancer risk among postmenopausal women were observed. Further longitudinal studies are warranted to confirm this finding.

Abstract
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disorder characterized by a multitude of phenotypes. Epidemiological studies show an increase in asthma prevalence in obese patients regardless of age. The association of asthma and obesity is now considered as a phenotype with its own clinical, biological and functional characteristics. Regarding the pathophysiology of asthma and obesity, numerous factors such as nutrition, genetic predisposition, microbiome, ventilatory mechanics and the role of adipose tissue have been identified to explain the heterogeneous characteristics of patients with asthma and obesity. In adult patients with asthma and obesity, respiratory symptoms are particularly prominent and atopy and eosinophilic inflammation is uncommon compared to normal weight asthma patients. Obese asthma patients experience more hospitalizations and use more rescue medications than normal weight asthmatics. Management of asthma in obese patients is complex because these patients have less response to the usual anti-asthmatic treatments. Weight loss through caloric restriction combined with exercise is the main intervention to obtain improvement of asthma outcomes. Bariatric surgery is an invasive procedure with interesting results.

Abstract
AIMS Our aim was to assess the association between trajectories of body-shape across the first 40 years of life and subsequent development of hypertension in a Mediterranean cohort. METHODS AND RESULTS We used a group-based modeling approach to assess body shape trajectories from age 5 to 40 years, among 7514 participants included in the SUN study (1999-2016), and assessed the subsequent incidence of hypertension. To create the trajectories, we used a censored normal model as a polynomial function of age. Cox models were used to estimates hazard ratios (HR) for hypertension according to body shape trajectories. Identified trajectories were "childhood lean -mid-life increase", "childhood medium-mid-life stable", " childhood heavy -mid-life decrease", and "childhood heavy -mid-life increase" for women; and "childhood lean-mid-life increase", "childhood medium-mid-life stable", "childhood medium -mid-life increase" and "childhood heavy-mid-life stable" for men. After a follow-up of 63,068 person-years, 865 incident cases of hypertension were found. Among women, compared to those in the "childhood medium-mid-life stable" trajectory, those, in the "childhood heavy -mid-life increase" trajectory showed higher risk to develop hypertension [HR = 1.72 (1.17-2.53)]. In men, compared with those in the "childhood medium-mid-life stable" trajectory, those in the "childhood lean and childhood medium -mid-life increase" and the "childhood heavy- mid-life stable" trajectories showed higher subsequent incidence of hypertension [HR = 1.43 (1.11-1.85), HR = 1.52 (1.17-1.97) and HR = 1.56 (1.14-2.14), respectively] after adjusting for potential confounders (including age, lifestyles, dietary intake, personality traits, physical activity and sedentary behaviors). CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that mid-life increases in body shape or maintaining a heavy body shape during early and middle life in men and childhood heavy-mid-life increase in women is associated with a higher subsequent risk of developing hypertension in this Mediterranean population.

Abstract
Increasing consumer bias toward natural products and the considerable wealth of indigenous knowledge has precipitated an upturn in market-driven research into potentially beneficial medicinal plants. In this context, Aspalathus linearis (Rooibos) has been identified to be a promising candidate which may impact cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is one of the most widely studied chronic diseases of modern times. Despite these efforts, ischemic heart disease remains the number one cause of mortality globally. Apart from genetic predisposition and other aetiological mechanisms specific to particular types of CVD, co-factors from interlinked systems contribute significantly to disease development and the severity of its clinical manifestation. The bioactivity of Rooibos is directed towards multiple therapeutic targets. Experimental data to date include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic effects, as well as modulatory effects in terms of the immune system, adrenal steroidogenesis and lipid metabolism. This review integrates relevant literature on the therapeutic potential of Rooibos in the context of CVD, which is currently the most common of non-communicable diseases. The therapeutic value of whole plant extracts versus isolated active ingredients are addressed, together with the potential for overdose or herb-drug interaction. The body of research undertaken to date clearly underlines the benefits of Rooibos as both preventative and complementary therapeutic functional food in the context of CVD.

Abstract
Background Although leisure-time physical activity (PA) contributes to overall health, including pregnancy health, patterns across pregnancy have not been related to birth outcomes. We hypothesized that women with sustained low leisure-time PA would have excess risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and that changing patterns across pregnancy (high to low and low to high) may also be related to risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. Methods Nulliparous women (n = 10,038) were enrolled at 8 centers early in pregnancy (mean gestational age in weeks [SD] = 12.05 [1.51]. Frequency, duration, and intensity (metabolic equivalents) of up to three leisure activities reported in the first, second and third trimesters were analyzed. Growth mixture modeling was used to identify leisure-time PA patterns across pregnancy. Adverse pregnancy outcomes (preterm birth, [PTB, overall and spontaneous], hypertensive disorders of pregnancy [HDP], gestational diabetes [GDM] and small-for-gestational-age births [SGA]) were assessed via chart abstraction. Results Five patterns of leisure-time PA across pregnancy were identified: High (35%), low (18%), late decreasing (24%), early decreasing (10%), and early increasing (13%). Women with sustained low leisure-time PA were younger and more likely to be black or Hispanic, obese, or to have smoked prior to pregnancy. Women with low vs. high leisure-time PA patterns had higher rates of PTB (10.4 vs. 7.5), HDP (13.9 vs. 11.4), and GDM (5.7 vs. 3.1, all p < 0.05). After adjusting for maternal factors (age, race/ethnicity, BMI and smoking), the risk of GDM (Odds ratio 2.00 [95% CI 1.47, 2.73]) remained higher in women with low compared to high patterns. Early and late decreasing leisure-time PA patterns were also associated with higher rates of GDM. In contrast, women with early increasing patterns had rates of GDM similar to the group with high leisure-time PA (3.8% vs. 3.1%, adjusted OR 1.16 [0.81, 1.68]). Adjusted risk of overall PTB (1.31 [1.05, 1.63]) was higher in the low pattern group, but spontaneous PTB, HDP and SGA were not associated with leisure-time PA patterns. Conclusions Sustained low leisure-time PA across pregnancy is associated with excess risk of GDM and overall PTB compared to high patterns in nulliparous women. Women with increased leisure-time PA early in pregnancy had low rates of GDM that were similar to women with high patterns, raising the possibility that early pregnancy increases in activity may be associated with improved pregnancy health. Abstract
Epidemiological and experimental observations tend to prove that environment, lifestyle or nutritional challenges influence heart functions together with genetic factors. Furthermore, when occurring during sensitive windows of heart development, these environmental challenges can induce an 'altered programming' of heart development and shape the future heart disease risk. In the etiology of heart diseases driven by environmental challenges, epigenetics has been highlighted as an underlying mechanism, constituting a bridge between environment and heart health. In particular, micro-RNAs which are involved in each step of heart development and functions seem to play a crucial role in the unfavorable programming of heart diseases. This review describes the latest advances in micro-RNA research in heart diseases driven by early exposure to challenges and discusses the use of micro-RNAs as potential targets in the reversal of the pathophysiology.

Abstract
Aim: In spite of the many health-related benefits of regular physical activity, fatiguing work may be a barrier to performing leisure-time physical activity. This study investigates the association between work-related fatigue and the duration of low- and high-intensity leisure-time physical activity in workers with sedentary and physically demanding jobs. Methods: From the 2010 round of the Danish Work Environment Cohort Study, currently employed wage earners from the general working population ( N=10,427) replied to questions about work-related fatigue (predictor) and duration of low- and high-intensity leisure-time physical activity (outcome). Associations were modelled using general linear models controlling for various confounders. Results: Among workers with physically demanding jobs, higher levels of work-related fatigue were associated with gradually lower levels of leisure-time physical activity – for low, moderate and high levels of work-related fatigue the duration of high-intensity leisure-time physical activity was 133 (95% confidence interval (CI) 127–178), 134 (95% CI 109–160) and 113 (95% CI 86–140) min per week, respectively (trend test p<0.001). The duration of high-intensity leisure-time physical activity was lower among older workers (≥50 years) compared to younger workers (<50 years) (132 ± 126 vs 168 ± 150 min per week) ( p<0.0001). Conclusions: The duration of high-intensity leisure-time physical activity gradually decreases with increased work-related fatigue in workers with physically demanding jobs. Older workers perform less high-intensity physical activity than younger workers. Workplaces should consider initiatives to allow workers with physically demanding jobs and older workers to perform physical exercise during working hours and thereby increase physical capacity to meet the job demands.
