Abstract
Designing a sensitive method for the detection of streptomycin residues in animal products is essential for controlling consumer health risk. In this study, a high-purity pencil lead graphite electrode coated with inner graphene layers and outer surface-adsorbed gold nanoparticles attached to streptomycin-specific thiolated aptamer was used as an electrochemical aptasensor. The aptasensor electrode fabrication steps were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier-transform infrared spectrophotometer (FTIR). Moreover, aptasensor performance during fabrication and binding of aptamer to streptomycin were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. After the binding of sreptomycin to it's specific aptamer as a component of the aptasensor a decrease in the current and an increase in the charge transfer resistance (Rct) were recorded using the above-mentioned techniques. Under optimal conditions, the novel ultra-sensetive designed aptansensor detects streptomycin in the range of 10-8 to 10-16 M with a LOD of 0.8×10-18 M. The aptansensor demonstrates a high selectivity, good reproducibility and acceptable stability for the specific detection of streptomycin. According to the results, the manufactured aptansensor is a fast, low-cost, highly sensitive and selective device and thus the aptasensor can detect the trace amounts of streptomycin in milk in dairy industries.

Abstract
A D-π-A conjugated polydentate ligand chromophore, N-8'-quinolyl-2,4,6- trihydroxyl benzamide (NQTB), was identified and synthesized using tri-hydroxyl phenol as donated-electron group, N-heterocycle quinoline as accepted-electron one and CN bond as bridged one. It was expected to chelate some heavy metal ions with prominent colorimetric or spectral changes. After its UV-vis absorption spectrum was investigated in detail, it was noted that NQTB possessed excellent spectral recognition ability to Cu2+ and Co2+ from other coexisting ions in aqueous. Under the optimized conditions, NQTB could simultaneously discriminate trace Cu2+ and Co2+ in environmental aqueous samples with low detection limits (1.9 × 10-8 mol/L and 5.7 × 10-8 mol/L) and satisfying analytical precisions (R.S.D. ≤3.3% and ≤2.6%) respectively. The sensing mechanism was confirmed to form some stable 5-membered-co-6-membered condensed rings between Cu2+/Co2+ and O/N atoms in NQTB.

Abstract
In terms of detection of antibiotics within complex media, the nonspecific adsorption is an enormous challenge and antifouling sensing interfaces capable of reducing the nonspecific adsorption from complex biological samples are highly desirable. In this work, a novel antifouling electrochemical immunosensor was explored based on the self-assembly of two kinds of poly( N-isopropylacrylamide) microgels on the surface of graphene oxide for sensitive detection of streptomycin (STR). The microgels modified with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) and zwitterionic liquid 1-propyl-3-vinylimidazole sulfonate (PVIS) were prepared. The microgels with GMA were used by combining specific recognition of anti-STR. The rapid specific binding of antigen and anti-STR resulted in a decrease of current density to generate electrochemical responsive signals. Zwitterionic liquid-modified microgels were used for antifouling, which can form stronger hydration and show excellent antifouling ability. As a result, we achieved efficient and sensitive detection of STR in the complex sample with evidently resisted nonspecific adsorption effect, the wide linear range toward STR was from 0.05 to 100 ng mL-1, with a detection limit down to 1.7 pg mL-1. The immunosensor based on the surface functionalization of microgels showed promising applications for the detection of antibiotics in complex media.

Abstract
A sensitive method for BRCA1 and TB4 DNA sequences detection using water-soluble cationic polythiophenes, poly(3-(1′-ethoxy-2′-N-methyl imidazole)thiophene) (PT) is presented. The fluorescence of PT could be dramatically quenched by the addition of single-stranded DNA (ssDNA; TB4 and BRCA1 sequences). The KSV (Stern–Volmer constant) for TB4 and BRCA1 DNA sequences are 1.46 × 108 and 3.28 × 108 M–1 respectively, and the limits of detection of these two sequences are 1.26 × 10–10 and 0.483 × 10–10 M respectively. The fluorescence of PT would recover to its initial intensity after the addition of complementary ssDNA, whereas sequences with one to three mismatched bases would not. The influences of buffer pH and concentration of NaCl were also investigated systemically in order to further improve the sensitivity. This assay can be completed in a short period of time without any further procedure. Hence, this sensitive, cost-effective, and rapid detection method for BRCA1 and TB4 DNA sequences may contribute to the clinical diagnosis of breast cancer gene mutations in the future.
