Abstract
On February 6th, 2024, Gynecologic Oncology Reports and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology Education Committee co-hosted a webinar about ways to use social media for career enhancement and for dissemination of research. During the discussion, we reviewed:i.how to identify one's goals, target audience, and select a social media platform.ii.how to navigate the negatives of social media.iii.how to develop one's online academic brand.iv.how to use social media for academic promotion and career advancement.v.how to use social media as a research tool.vi.how to use visual tools to bring attention to one's research.The objective of this report is to review the literature on social media in oncology and review the webinar presentation.

Abstract
PURPOSE We aimed to explore patient's experience of chemotherapy-induced menopausal symptoms; to ascertain how patients tried to alleviate their symptoms and how health professionals supported them in order to identify current unmet needs. METHODS We designed a retrospective cross-sectional exploratory study of a sample of 11 women who received multi-agent combination chemotherapy for Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia. Postal surveys using the Greene Climacteric Scale (GCS) questionnaire followed up by semi-structured telephone interviews were used. Framework analysis technique was used to generate descriptions of patient's experiences. RESULTS Symptoms of feeling tired or lacking in energy, loss of interest in sex, muscle and joint pains and difficulty in concentrating affected participants the most. The menopausal symptoms appear to be temporary; symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats seem to subside with resumption of menses. Others are more gradual with some evidence that mental health takes longer to recover. Regarding potential symptoms, some women do not retain the information given to them at discharge following end of treatment, which GTD services need to take into consideration when supporting patients. CONCLUSION Patients need to be more optimally prepared for post-chemotherapy recovery with each patient's needs and support being individually tailored. How information is discussed and disseminated needs improving to ensure patients retain the information they receive at discharge. Recommendations include the creation of menopause information booklet, alongside further developing virtual nurse-led follow up clinics post chemotherapy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To relate the distance traveled from the patient's residence to the gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) reference center (RC) and the occurrence of unfavorable clinical outcomes, as well as to estimate the possible association between this distance and the risk of metastatic disease at presentation, the need for multiagent chemotherapy to achieve remission and loss to follow-up before remission. STUDY DESIGN Retrospective historical cohort study of patients with GTN followed at 8 Brazilian GTN-RC, from January 1st, 2000 - December 31st, 2017. RESULTS Evaluating 1055 cases of GTN, and using a receiver operating characteristic curve, we found a distance of 56 km (km) from the residence to the GTN-RC (sensitivity = 0.57, specificity = 0.61) best predicted the occurrence of at least one of the following outcomes: occurrence of metastatic disease, need for multiagent chemotherapy to achieve remission, or loss to follow-up during chemotherapy. Multivariate logistic regression adjusted by age, ethnicity, marital status and the reference center location showed that when the distance between residence and GTN-RC was ≥56 km, there was an increase in the occurrence of metastatic disease (relative risk - RR:3.27; 95%CI:2.20-4.85), need for multiagent chemotherapy (RR:1.36; 95%CI:1.05-1.76), loss to follow-up during chemotherapy (RR:4.52; 95CI:1.93-10.63), occurrence of chemoresistance (RR:4.61; 95%CI:3.07-6.93), relapse (RR:10.27; 95%CI:3.08-34.28) and death due to GTN (RR:3.62; 95%CI:1.51-8.67). CONCLUSIONS The distance between the patient's residence and the GTN-RC is a risk factor for unfavorable outcomes, including death from this disease. It is crucial to guarantee these patients get prompt access to the GTN-RC and receive follow-up support.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate themes, quality, and reliability of gynecologic cancer-related content on the social media application TikTok. METHODS TikTok was systematically searched for the 100 most popular posts for ovarian cancer (OC), endometrial cancer (EC), cervical cancer (CC), vulvar cancer (VC), and gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) in August 2022. Data was collected for demographics, tone, and themes. Educational videos were rated for quality and reliability utilizing the modified DISCERN scale. Relationships between content demographics, disease sites, and themes were assessed. RESULTS As of August 2022, the top five hashtags for each gynecologic cancer on TikTok had 466.7 million views. 430 of the top 500 posts were eligible for inclusion (OC: n = 86, CC: n = 93, EC: n = 98, GTD: n = 63, VC: n = 90). The majority of creators (n = 323, 75.1%) were White, 33 (7.7%) were Black, 20 (4.6%) were Asian/Pacific Islander (API), 10 (2.3%) were South Asian, 20 (4.7%) were Hispanic/Latino/a, 24 (5.5%) were unable to determine. Eleven central themes were identified, with significant differences when analyzed by disease site and race. The median DISCERN score for all posts was 1.0, indicating poor educational quality and reliability. When compared by race, South Asian/API posters received the highest scores (3, IQR 2.5) versus Black (2: IQR 3), Hispanic/Latino/a (2: IQR 0), and White posters (1, IQR 2) (p = 0.0013). CONCLUSION(S) Gynecologic cancer-related content on TikTok is of poor educational quality, and racial disparities in gynecologic cancer extend to social media. Opportunities exist to create more diverse content to support racial and cultural experiences in gynecologic cancer treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND High-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) is rare and treated with diverse approaches. Limited published institutional data has yet to be systematically reviewed. OBJECTIVES To compile global high-risk GTN (prognostic score ≥7) cohorts to summarise treatments and outcomes by disease characteristics and primary chemotherapy. SEARCH STRATEGY MEDLINE, Embase, Scopus, ClinicalTrials.gov and Cochrane were searched through March 2021. SELECTION CRITERIA Full-text manuscripts reporting mortality among ≥10 high-risk GTN patients. DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS Binomial proportions were summed, and random-effects meta-analyses performed. MAIN RESULTS From 1137 records, we included 35 studies, representing 20 countries. Among 2276 unique high-risk GTN patients, 99.7% received chemotherapy, 35.8% surgery and 4.9% radiation. Mortality was 10.9% (243/2236; meta-analysis: 10%, 95% confidence interval [CI] 7-12%) and likelihood of complete response to primary chemotherapy was 79.7% (1506/1890; meta-analysis: 78%, 95% CI: 74-83%). Across 24 reporting studies, modern preferred chemotherapy (EMA/CO or EMA/EP) was associated with lower mortality (overall: 8.8 versus 9.5%; comparative meta-analysis: 8.1 versus 12.4%, OR 0.42, 95% CI: 0.20-0.90%, 14 studies) and higher likelihood of complete response (overall: 76.6 versus 72.8%; comparative meta-analysis: 75.9 versus 60.7%, OR 2.98, 95% CI: 1.06-8.35%, 14 studies), though studies focused on non-preferred regimens reported comparable outcomes. Mortality was increased for ultra-high-risk disease (30 versus 7.5% high-risk; meta-analysis OR 7.44, 95% CI: 4.29-12.9%) and disease following term delivery (20.8 versus 7.3% following molar pregnancy; meta-analysis OR 2.64, 95% CI: 1.10-6.31%). Relapse rate estimates ranged from 3 to 6%. CONCLUSIONS High-risk GTN is responsive to several chemotherapy regimens, with EMA/CO or EMA/EP associated with improved outcomes. Mortality is increased in patients with ultra-high-risk, relapsed and post-term pregnancy disease.
