Abstract
In the past several decades, significant efforts have been paid toward photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants in environmental research. During the past years, titanium dioxide nano-architectures (TiO2 NAs) have been widely used in water purification applications with photocatalytic degradation processes under Uv/Vis light illumination. Photocatalysis process with nano-architectural design of TiO2 is viewed as an efficient procedure for directly channeling solar energy into water treatment reactions. The considerable band-gap values and the subsequent short life time of photo-generated charge carriers are showed among the limitations of this approach. One of these effective efforts is the using of oxidation processes with advance semiconductor photocatalyst NAs for degradation the organic pollutants under UV/Vis irradiation. Among them, nano-architectural design of TiO2 photocatalyst (such as Janus, yolk-shell (Y@S), hollow microspheres (HMSs) and nano-belt) is an effective way to improve oxidation processes for increasing photocatalytic activity in water treatment applications. In the light of the above issues, this study tends to provide a critical overview of the used strategies for preparing TiO2 photocatalysts with desirable physicochemical properties like enhanced absorption of light, low density, high surface area, photo-stability, and charge-carrier behavior. Among the various nanoarchitectural design of TiO2, the Y@S and HMSs have created a great appeal given their considerable large surface area, low density, homogeneous catalytic environment, favorable light harvesting properties, and enhanced molecular diffusion kinetics of the particles. In this review was summarized the developments that have been made for nano-architectural design of TiO2 photocatalyst. Additional focus is placed on the realization of interfacial charge and the possibility of achieving charge carriers separation for these NAs as electron migration is the extremely important factor for increasing the photocatalytic activity.

Abstract
Titanium ferrite represents one of the most promising magnetic materials that exhibits optical absorption in both ultraviolet and visible spectral regions with a range of applications in photocatalysis, giant magnetoresistance, sensors, high-frequency modern power supplies, etc. Here in the present work, we report synthesizing titanium ferrite NPs via the co-precipitation method. As obtained ferrite nanopowders were characterized using XRD, UV-Visible absorption, Raman scattering, and variable sample magnetometer techniques. The crystalline size of NPs lies between 35 to 50 nm. The as-obtained nanopowder samples were calcined at 200, 500, 800 °C temperatures, and the resulting change in the optical, structural, and magnetic properties are investigated. The saturation magnetization of 500 °C calcined sample is higher than that calcined at 200 °C, but the magnetization value drastically becomes reduced for powder calcined at 800 °C temperature. The results of the present work can be used to understand the effects of annealing temperature on the structural and magnetic properties of other ferrite nanomaterials.

Abstract
Imines, versatile intermediates for organic synthesis, can be exploited for the
preparation of diverse classes of biologically active benzazoles. Because of the special
characteristics of the C=N bond, imines can be simultaneously used in the synthesis of
1,3-benzazoles and 1,2-benzazoles. With the development of imine synthesis, a variety of
novel cascade reactions for benzazole synthesis have been reported in the last decade.
Therefore, there is a strong need to elucidate the recent progress in the formation of various
classes of benzazoles, including benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles, benzothiazoles, indazoles,
and benzisoxazoles, via imines obtained by condensation reactions or oxidative/
redox coupling reactions In this review, we provide a comprehensive survey of this
area. In particular, various green and mild synthetic methodologies are summarized, and
the multiple roles of novel catalysts and significant mechanisms for several transformations are highlighted in
detail. We believe that this review will aid researchers studying the synthesis of complex molecules containing
the benzazole motif via imines.

Abstract
In this review, we tried to underscore the synthesis of the heterocyclic compounds under assisted ultrasonic irradiation. The ultrasonic irradiation has been applied for medicinal chemistry and drug discovery process since it dramatically reduces reaction times, from days or hours to minutes. Also, ultrasonic irradiation provides lower cost, excellent yields, greater purity, and simple workups as compared to lower yields, longer reaction times, lesser purity and in the conventional methods. In this review, we have compared synthesis of the heterocyclic compounds under ultrasonic irradiation with other methods.

Abstract
Herein, the efficient role of ultrasonic irradiation both in synthesis of Zr based porous coordination polymer (Zr-PCP) nanoparticles and boosting its catalytic activity, towards the benzimidazoles synthesis is represented. We use an amine based ligand (amino-terephthalate) for PCP and we exhibit that it can have a synergistic catalytic activity. In this work, a unique nano-engineering of cooperative and synergistic catalytic activity of zirconium, as a Lewis acid, and aminophenylene, as an organocatalyst, in the synthesis of heterocycles is presented for the synthesis of benzimidazole from cascade reaction of phenylene diamine with aldehyde at ambient temperature. Zr and amine groups of the Zr-PCP are active catalytic sites which in combination with the ultrasonic irradiation leads to a high selectivity and rapid catalytic production of benzylimidazoles. N2 adsorption-desorption along with BJH analyses confirm the microporosity of the catalyst and recyclability shows that the catalyst is green and sustainable heterogeneous microporous catalyst.

Abstract
Herein, we introduce a reusable Brønsted acidic ionic liquid gel (BAIL gel) obtained by treating 1-methyl-3-(4-sulfobutyl)-1H-imidazolium hydrogen sulfate with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS). The grafting of the Brønsted acidic ionic liquid to the surface of TEOS has increased the catalytic activity of the material and also simplified catalyst recovery from the reaction mixture. This reaction has a wide substrate scope, and the BAIL gel represents a new catalyst for the synthesis of benzoxazoles, benzimidazoles, and benzothiazoles. The method shows attractive characteristics such as high yields, recyclable catalyst, and work-up simplicity. More importantly, no additional additives or volatile organic solvent and inert atmosphere are required for the reaction, and the BAIL gel has shown a great promise for industrial applications. To the best of our knowledge, the synthesis of benzoxazoles, benzimidazoles, and benzothiazoles using a recyclable heterogeneous ionic liquid gel was not previously reported in the literature.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite the need to develop new herbicides with different modes of action, due to weed resistance, many important classes of compounds have been studied poorly for this purpose. Benzoxazoles are considered privileged structures because of their biological activities, but their phytotoxic activities have not received a lot of attention until now. RESULTS Double vinylic substitution reactions were carried out to furnish four 2-nitromethylbenzoxazoles and one oxazolidine. Benzoxazol-2-ylmethanamine was obtained by reduction of compound 3a. These compounds were evaluated for their phytotoxicity in Allium cepa (onion), Solanum lycopersicum (tomato), Cucumis sativus (cucumber) and Sorghum bicolor (sorghum). Comparison with oxazolidine analogue allowed us to understand that the benzoxazolic structure is very important for the herbicidal activity. CONCLUSION All the synthesized compounds exhibited biological activity on seed germination. The four 2-nitromethylbenzoxazoles showed phytotoxic activity and the 5-chloro-2-(nitromethyl)benzo[d]oxazole (3b) exhibited higher inhibition than the commercial herbicide against all four plant species tested. © 2018 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
Sonochemically prepared nanoparticles of terbium tungstate (TWNPs) were evaluated through scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-Vis spectroscopy, and the optimal products were further characterized in terms of their electrochemical properties using conventional and continuous cyclic voltammetry (CV, and CCV), galvanostatic charge/discharge technique, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The CV studies indicated the TWNPs to have specific capacitance (SC) values of 336 and 205 F g-1 at 1 and 200 mV s-1, and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests revealed the SC of the TWNP-based electrodes to be 300 F g-1 at 1 Ag-1. Also continuous cyclic voltammetry evaluations proved the sample as having a capacitance retention value of 95.3% after applying 4000 potential cycles. In the light of the results TWNPs were concluded as favorable electrode materials for use in hybrid vehicle systems.
