Abstract
Herein, we report an efficient and straightforward access to highly functionalized thiochroman-4-ol derivatives by the construction of S-C and C-C bonds in a domino fashion. The methodology is based on a (4 + 2) annulation reaction involving α-substituted allenyl sulfones and aromatic thiolates displaying an ortho α-ketoester group as substrates. The anionic sulfur species were generated in situ by reduction of the corresponding disulfides, using a Rongalite/K2CO3 system. The practicality of the strategy was further demonstrated by gram-scale synthesis, postmodifications, and compatibility with other types of electron-deficient allenes (allenoate and allenone).

Abstract
A [2 + 4]/[1 + 2] annulation approach was successfully established to construct pyrroloquinoline-fused cyclopropane in a highly diastereoselective fashion (>20:1 dr). The tetracyclic 1,7-fused indoles were efficiently obtained from readily available starting materials under mild conditions. This methodology displays impressive substrate generality with two reaction components. The products resulting from this doubly annulative strategy are useful synthetic intermediates.

Abstract
The development of a new strategy for the construction of chiral cyclic sulfide-containing multiple stereogenic centers is highly desirable. Herein, by the combination of base-promoted retro-sulfa-Michael addition and palladium-catalyzed asymmetric allenylic alkylation, the streamlined synthesis of chiral thiochromanones containing two central chiralities (including a quaternary stereogenic center) and an axial chirality (allene unit) was successfully realized with up to 98% yield, 49.0 : 1 dr and >99% ee.

Abstract
The sulfa-Michael addition reaction is a crucial subset of the Michael addition reaction, and aroused the interest of numerous synthetic biologists and chemists. In particular, sulfa-Michael addition triggered cascade reaction has developed quickly in recent years because it offers an efficient method to construct C-S bonds and other bonds in one approach, which is widely applicable for building chiral pharmaceuticals, their intermediates, and natural compounds. This review emphasizes the recent advancements in sulfa-Michael addition-triggered cascade reactions for the stereoselective synthesis of sulfur-containing compounds, including sulfa-Michael/aldol, sulfa-Michael/Henry, sulfa-Michael/Michael, sulfa-Michael/Mannich and some sulfa-Michael triggered multi-step processes. Moreover, some reaction mechanisms and derivatization experiments are introduced appropriately.

Abstract
AbstractIn this work, we describe the Michael addition–cyclization reaction of 2-(2-nitrovinyl)phenol with two different reactive Michael donors, which lead to chiral benzopyran derivatives. Specifically, bifunctional amino-squaramides with one or two chiral units in the side chains were evaluated as catalysts in these transformations. Furthermore, the utility of selected green solvents as reaction media for these processes was also tested. The best result was achieved with methyl-cyclopentanone-2-carboxylate as the Michael donor in ethyl (–)-l-lactate with quinine-based amino-squaramide as catalyst (yield 72%, dr >99:1, ee 99%).
