Abstract
A highly efficient Ru(II)-catalyzed regio- and stereospecific hydro-oxycarbonylation of unsymmetrical internal alkynes bearing a difunctional 2-pyridyloxy directing group with carboxylic acids has been developed, which provides allylic (Z)-enol esters in good to excellent yields with a broad substrate scope under mild conditions. The difunctional directing group can be diversely derivatized, particularly undergoing allylic substitution with various nucleophiles to afford β-functionalized (Z)-enol esters without directing groups.

Abstract
We developed herein a regioselective construction of non-C2 symmetrical NOBIN-type biaryls through a cascade N-arylation and [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement from O-arylhydroxylamines and diaryliodonium salts under mild conditions. The employment of copper salt could inhibit the further O-arylation of the newly formed biaryl products, otherwise, O-arylated NOBIN-type products were furnished in moderate to good isolated yields. The products of this protocol can be further converted into highly valuable functional molecules and heterocycles.

Abstract
The Rh(III)-catalyzed dual directing group assisted C-H activation/annulation of 3-arylisoxazolones with propargyl alcohols has been developed, which expands the application scope of isoxazolones in organic synthesis. This protocol also worked well with 3-aryl-1,4,2-dioxazol-5-ones to produce synthetically and biologically important 4-arylisoquinolones.

Abstract
Cp*Co(iii)-catalyzed [4+1] annulation of sulfoxonium ylides with anthranils has been developed for the synthesis of indole-indolone scaffolds. The dual functionality of anthranils was exploited, wherein the nitrogen has been used for C-H amination and the aldehyde group was utilized in the subsequent intramolecular aldol condensation to furnish the corresponding annulated products.

Abstract
Rh(III)-catalyzed C–H activation features mild reaction conditions, good functional group tolerance, high reaction efficiency, and regioselectivity. Recently, it has attracted tremendous attention and has been employed to synthesize various heterocycles, such as indoles, isoquinolines, isoquinolones, pyrroles, pyridines, and polyheterocycles, which are important privileged structures in biological molecules, natural products, and agrochemicals. In this short review, we attempt to present an overview of recent advances in Rh(III)-mediated C–H bond activation to generate diverse heterocyclic scaffolds with sp3 carbon centers.

Abstract
Mild complexations of chiral cyclopentadienes with rhodium(i) and iridium(i) precursors enable user-friendly in situ complex formation for catalytic applications.
A practical complexation method for chiral cyclopentadienyl (Cpx) iridium and rhodium complexes is described. The procedure uses the free CpxH with stable and commercially available rhodium(i) and iridium(i) salts without base or additive. The conditions are mild and do not require the exclusion of air and moisture. A salient feature is the suitability for in situ complexations enhancing the user-friendliness of Cpx ligands in asymmetric catalysis. DFT-calculations confirm an intramolecular proton abstraction pathway by either the bound acetate or methoxide. Furthermore, the superior facial selectivity of the proton abstraction step enabled the development of TMS-containing trisubstituted Cpx ligands which display improved enantioselectivities for the benchmarking dihydroisoquinolone synthesis.
