Abstract
Enones with β-electron-donating groups can exist in their zwitterionic resonance forms, which favor nucleophilic attack to phosphenes generated from phosphoryl (aryl)diazomethanes under blue light irradiation to yield zwitterionic intermediates. The intermediates cyclize to afford highly stereoselective trans-3,4-dihydro-1,2-oxaphosphinine 2-oxides in good to excellent yields. In the cyclic transition state of the final cyclization, the stereoelectronic effect and the Coulomb force control the high stereoselectivity. The electron-donating groups of enones play double roles in both nucleophilic attack and cyclization. The reaction features readily available starting materials, high atom-economy, no catalyst, a fast reaction rate, broad functional group-tolerance and substrate scope, high yields and stereoselectivity, and mild conditions.

Abstract
The reactivity of alkyl(aryl)phosphinic chlorides and imines was investigated in the presence of a base. The results indicated that allyl/benzyl(aryl)phosphinic chlorides gave rise to 1,2-azaphosphines (δ-phostims), while nonbenzylic alkyl(aryl)phosphinic chlorides produced the corresponding β-phosphinolactams (β-phostims) in their reaction with cyclic dibenzo[b,f][1,4]oxazepines, whereas steric electron-rich arylmethyl(aryl)phosphinic chlorides generated [2 + 2 + 2] annuloadducts in some cases. The current investigation provides useful insight into the reactivity of phosphinic chlorides and imines.

Abstract
An efficient and practical method for the preparation of the phospholene fused β-phosphinolactam skeleton from α-C2-bridged biphospholes and nitrones is described. The dissociation of biphospholes generates transient 1-phosphafulvenes, followed by oxidation with nitrones to give the 1-phosphafulvene oxides. The oxidation of 1-phosphafulvene boosts its reactivity toward imine, leading to the isolated products.

Abstract
Various trans-1,2,4-trihydrobenzo[d][1,2]azaphosphinine 3-oxides are synthesized highly stereoselectively from in situ generated phosphenes and formaldimines under microwave irradiation. Aryl(diazo)methyl(diaryl)phosphine oxides first undergo the Wolff rearrangement to generate phosphenes. Imines, in situ generated from 1,3,5-triazinanes or paraformaldehyde and primary amines, nucleophilically attack the phosphenes followed by a tandem stereoelectronic effect-controlled intramolecular nucleophilic addition and aromatization to give final trans-1,2,4-trihydrobenzo[d][1,2]azaphosphinine 3-oxides, exhibiting completely different annuloselectivity from linear nonformaldimines.

Abstract
Conversion of 1,3,5-triazinanes into 5-phosporyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines is achieved efficiently through the microwave-assisted reaction with phosphoryl diazomethanes. Both trialkyl and triaryl 1,3,5-triazinanes were converted by diazomethyldiarylphosphine oxides, dialkyl diazomethylphosphonates, and alkyl diazomethyl(aryl)phosphinates and functionalized simultaneously in good to excellent yields. The reaction is a sequence of 1,3,5-triazinane fragmentation, tandem nucleophilic addition of the generated formaldimines and phosphoryl diazomethanes, and final N,N-acetalization.

Abstract
Tetrahydroisoquinoline and its fused polyheterocycles are prevalent structural motifs found in numerous natural products. In this study, we report a highly efficient and convergent synthetic approach for the construction of tetrahydroisoquinoline-fused polyheterocycles through a three-component formal [2 + 2 + 2] annulation process by combining 3,4-dihydroisoquinolines, CO2, and benzynes. Notably, electron-rich 3,4-dihydroisoquinolines and electron-deficient benzynes exhibit greater reactivity in this annulation. Moreover, this method benefits from the convergent synthesis and the utilization of carbon dioxide, providing a valuable strategy for the facile synthesis of tetrahydroisoquinoline-fused polyheterocycles, with potential applications in the discovery and development of novel organic molecules.

Abstract
Phostams, phostones, and phostines are a series of 1,2-azaphosphaheterocycle and 1,2-oxaphosphaheterocycle 2-oxide derivatives. They are phosphorus analogues of lactams and lactones and important biologically active compounds. The strategies for the synthesis of medium and large phostams, phostones, and phostines are summarized. They include cyclizations and annulations. Cyclizations achieve ring construction through the formations of C-C, C-O, P-C, and P-O bonds in the rings, while annulations build the rings via [5 + 2], [6 + 1], and [7 + 1] fashions with the stepwise formation of two ring bonds. This review includes the recent syntheses of seven to fourteen-membered phostam, phostone, and phostine derivatives.

Abstract
Chemoselective annulations of phosphoryl carbenes generated from diazo(aryl)methyl(diaryl)phosphine oxides with pyridinium 1,4-zwitterionic thiolates were performed under microwave irradiation, affording 1-diarylphosphoryl-1H-benzo[c]thiopyran derivatives via [3+3] annulation and indolizine derivatives via ([1+5]-1) annulation with P-Cope elimination as the key step. The annuloselectivity was controlled by the steric hindrance of pyridiniums in pyridinium 1,4-zwitterionic thiolates.

Abstract
N-Arylethynylsulfonamides are oxidized into N-sulfonyl-2-aryloxoacetamides directly and efficiently with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as both an oxidant and solvent with microwave assistance. DFT calculations indicate that DMSO nucleophilically attacks the ethylic triple bond and transfers its oxygen atom to the triple bond to form zwitterionic anionic N-sulfonyliminiums to trigger the reaction. Then it nucleophilically attacks the generated iminium intermediates to accomplish the oxidation via the second oxygen atom transfer. The current method provides a straightforward and efficient strategy to transform various N-arylethynylsulfonamides into N-sulfonyl-2-aryloxoacetamides, sulfonyl oxoacetimides, without any other electrophilic activators or oxidants.
