Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed regiocontrolled intramolecular oxypalladation-initiated cascades of multifunctional internal alkyne bearing an N-tosyl tether deliver functionalized benzazepine as an exclusive product via 6-endo-dig pathway in 1,4-dioxane solvent and tetrahydroquinoline scaffold as a major product via the 5-exo-dig pathway in the DMSO solvent. The role of the solvent in controlling the regioselectivity is still unknown which can be a major hurdle for further reaction development. Moreover, the reaction in DMSO suffered from having a mixture of products, and no exclusive formation of tetrahydroquinoline was achieved. Herein, we report a concerted computational and experimental study, revealing the role of the solvent in controlling the reaction outcome. DFT study revealed that the formation of the σ-vinylpalladium intermediate is reversible for the 5-exo-dig pathway while it is irreversible for the 6-endo-dig mechanism in 1,4-dioxane and consequently, the 5-exo-dig pathway is difficult to proceed. In contrast, both the 5-exo-dig and 6-endo-dig pathways are irreversible in DMSO. We predicted an exclusive formation of isobenzofuranone-fused chromane via the 5-exo-dig pathway when the N-tosyl tether is replaced by the O-tether in the internal alkyne in DMSO. The experimental study confirms the theoretical hypothesis and provides a highly chemo-divergent approach for the synthesis of biologically significant chromane with a large substrate scope and up to 95% yield at room temperature.

Abstract
The past few decades have witnessed the emergence of domino reactions as a powerful tool for the multi-functionalization of alkynes for the rapid and smooth construction of complex molecular architectures. In this context, employing transition metal catalysis, vicinal/geminal cascade functionalization of alkynes involving C-C and C-O bond-formation reactions, has become a preferred strategy for the synthesis of oxygenated motifs. Despite this significant progress, reviews documenting such strategies are either metal/functional group-centric or target-oriented, thus hampering further developments. Therefore, in this review, different conceptual approaches based on C-C and C-O bond-forming events of alkynes such as carboxygenation (C-C and CO bond formation), carboalkoxylation (C-C and C-OR bond formation), and carboacetoxylation (C-C and C-OAc bond formations) are discussed, and examples from the literature from the last two decades are presented. Further, we have presented detailed insights into the mechanism of different transformations.

Abstract
Harnessing the organo-palladium intermediates generated from electrophilic cyclizations for tandem C-C bond construction is a challenging task but constitutes an excellent tool for constructing complex motifs from simpler substrates. We realize herein such a cyclative annulation of alkynyl-oxime ethers with maleimides for the facile construction of isoxazole-phthalimide hybrid motifs through Pd(II) catalysis. This protocol features excellent regio-selectivity in C-H selection, a broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and scalability. Necessary KIE & labeling studies give insight into the reaction mechanism.

Abstract
An efficient intramolecular annulation of Morita-Baylis-Hillman (MBH) alcohols of propiolaldehydes is developed in the presence of ICl or PhSeSePh/PhSSPh-CuCl2. This cyclization offers access to a wide variety of iodinated or chalcogenated 3-(chloromethyl)-2-pyrones in good yields. The chloromethyl group of the obtained 2-pyrones has been easily converted to introduce other handy functionalities, which allowed for further transformations to synthesize diverse 2-pyrone containing molecules.

Abstract
A mild, step-economical method for the synthesis of highly conjugated functionalized 2-pyridones from N-(furan-2-ylmethyl) alkyne amides is reported. This method involves Pd-catalyzed aerobic oxidative dicarbonation reactions of alkynes with carbon nucleophiles of a furan ring and an acrylate or styrene as coupling partners. The UV-vis absorption spectra of some of the 2-pyridones indicated that they absorbed shortwave radiation, suggesting their potential utility for filtration of such radiation.

Abstract
A general method for highly functionalized 2-pyrones via a base-mediated sequential vinylogous addition and cyclization of γ-phosphonyl/sulfonyl crotonates and ynones are described. An exclusive E-geometry with respect to the newly generated olefin substituent at C3 of pyrone was observed. Imino glyoxalates and glycine imines similarly reacted with ynones to deliver 3-imino pyrones.

Abstract
A Pd(II)-catalyzed mild and highly regioselective 6- endo cyclization/allylation reaction of enynoates with simple allylic alcohols has been developed. Under mild reaction conditions, the vinyl palladium species generated in situ after cyclization could insert C-C double bond of allylic alcohol through cross-coupling reaction and lead to the formation of allyl pyrone via β-OH elimination. This cascade cross-coupling reaction represents a direct and atom economic methodology for the construction of novel allyl pyrones in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
A palladium catalyzed cascade process involving syn-chloropalladation, intramolecular olefin insertion, and oxidative C-Cl bond formation reactions was demonstrated for the synthesis of dichlorinated tetrahydroquinolines in high yields (up to 93%). The N-propargyl arylamines having a tethered α,β-unsaturated carbonyl moiety underwent a regioselective syn-chloropalladation followed by a Heck-type reaction to deliver the tetrahydroquinoline scaffold. The rare insertion of the second chlorine atom was rationalized comprising a PdII/IV catalytic cycle and oxidative cleavage of the C-PdII bond.

Abstract
We report an additive-free, base-catalyzed C-, N-, O-, and S-Si bond cleavage of various organosilanes in mild conditions. The novel catalyst system exhibits high efficiency and good functional group compatibility, providing the corresponding products in good to excellent yields with low catalyst loadings. Overall, this transition-metal-free process may offer a convenient and general alternative to current employing excess bases, strong acids, or metal-catalyzed systems for the protodesilylation of organosilanes.

Abstract
Trisubstituted α-pyrones are obtained by a Pd-catalyzed three-component, single-flask operation via an α-arylation, subsequent α-alkenylation, alkene isomerization, and dienolate lactonization. A variety of coupling components under mild conditions afforded isolated yields of up to 93% of the pyrones with complete control of regioselectivity. Metal dependence was noted for three of the steps of the pathway. Utility of the pyrone products was demonstrated by further transformations providing convenient access to polyaromatic compounds, exhibiting broad molecular diversity.
