Abstract
The asymmetric synthesis of the isoxazoline skeleton was achieved by the oxidation of hydroxylaminoalkyl furan prepared from simple starting materials: 2-methylfuran and (S)-epichlorohydrin. The synthesis features an NBS-mediated oxidation of hydroxylaminoalkyl furan to give an α,β-unsaturated ketone intermediate which cyclized to the isoxazoline. The α,β-unsaturated double bond was successfully cleaved with RuCl3·xH2O catalysis en route to the isoxazoline skeleton bearing alcohol, aldehyde, and carboxylic acid functionalities.

Abstract
Marine cyanobacteria represent a promising yet underexplored source of novel natural products with potent biological activities. Historically, the focus has been on isolating cytotoxic compounds from marine cyanobacteria, but a substantial number of these photosynthetic microorganisms also produce diverse specialized molecules with significant anti-infective properties. Given the global pressing need for new anti-infective lead compounds, this review provides a concise yet comprehensive overview of the current knowledge on anti-infective secondary metabolites derived from marine cyanobacteria. A majority of these molecules were isolated from free-living filamentous cyanobacteria, while several examples were derived from marine cyanobacterial symbionts. In addition, SAR studies and potent synthetic analogs based on selected molecules will be featured. With more than 200 molecules, this review presents their antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiprotozoal, and molluscicidal activities, with the chemical and biological information covered in the literature up to September 2024.

Abstract
An efficient phosphine-catalyzed dearomative [3+2] annulation of 4-nitroisoxazoles with allenoates or Morita-Baylis-Hillman carbonates has been established for the convenient synthesis of bicyclic isoxazoline derivatives. This reaction approach showed a broad substrate scope, high functional group compatibility, and excellent regioselectivity and diastereoselectivity. Furthermore, the success at the gram-scale and synthetic applications of the obtained compound 3a demonstrate the great potential of this methodology for practical applications in organic synthesis.

Abstract
The stereoselective 5-endo-trig oxygenative cyclization of α,β-unsaturated oximes was achieved using molecular oxygen (O2) and a manganese catalyst. Several 4-hydroxy-4,5-dihydroisoxazoles were obtained in high yields by directly incorporating O2 from the atmosphere (eliminating the necessity for a pure oxygen environment) and using an unprecedentedly low loading of Mn(acac)3 (as little as 0.020 mol %) without additional additives. Because of its desirable features, such as operational simplicity, inexpensive catalyst, mild reaction conditions (open flask conditions at room temperature), and broad substrate compatibility, this novel reaction provides an attractive synthetic approach to producing 4-hydroxy-4,5-dihydroisoxazoles.

Abstract
A new and highly efficient annulation-retro-Claisen cascade, which involves the [4 + 1] or [5 + 1] annulation of α-benzoylacetates with bielectrophilic peroxides and a subsequent debenzoylation process under mild basic conditions, has been developed for the rapid construction of valuable tetrahydrofuran- and dihydropyran-2-carboxylates in good yields. By employing the new reaction, the unified total synthesis of γ- and δ-lactone natural products such as (±)-tanikolide, (±)-goniothalamins, (±)-7-epi-goniodiol, and (±)-plakolide A has been accomplished in 4-7 steps.

Abstract
Selective synthesis of three different bioactive heterocycles; isoxazolines, 5-hydroxy-2-isoxazolines and isoxazoles from the same starting material using TEMPO (2,2,6,6-Tetramethylpiperidin-1-oxyl) as a radical initiator is reported. Selectivity was achieved using different oxidants with TEMPO. The reaction goes through a 1,5-HAT (hydrogen atom transfer) process resulting in products with good yields. This strategy offers a straightforward route to three different heterocycles from oximes via radical-mediated C(sp3 )-H oxidation.

Abstract
This review addresses some promising areas of chemistry of nitro compounds extensively developed in recent years in Russia (particularly at the N.D.Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences) and worldwide. The most important results in the synthesis of novel energetic N-, C- and O-nitro compounds are summarized. New environmentally friendly approaches to the preparation of known compounds of this series, used as components of energetic compositions, are considered. Methods for selective transformations of various nitro compounds to valuable products of organic synthesis, primarily biologically active products and their precursors, are systematically analyzed.

Abstract
N-Alkylation and N-acylation of the prostaglandin-F2α allosteric modulator l-PDC31 were performed to install various alkyl, PEG and isoprenoid groups onto the l-enantiomer of the peptide. Among the different bio-conjugates studied, the N-dodecyl analog reduced prostaglandin-F2α-induced mouse myometrium contractions ex vivo. Furthermore, N-dodecyl-l-PDC31 exhibited improved stability in a mouse serum assay, likely due to protection from protease degradation by the lipid chain.

Abstract
1,3-Dipolar cycloadditions of 2-alkylacroleins or atropaldehyde with triisopropylsilyl nitronates bearing an α-aryl group produced 3-aryl-2-isoxazolines having a chiral quaternary center in up to 94% ee and up to 88% yield with the aid of Corey's oxazaborolidine catalyst. Specifically, the TIPS nitronate with an α-(p-methoxyphenyl) group gave mainly the 2-isoxazolines having an all-carbon quaternary center.

Abstract
A green, sustainable, organocatalytic, and efficient synthesis of isoxazolines from allyloximes was developed. A 2,2,2-trifluoroacetophenone-catalyzed oxidation of allyloximes, utilizing H2O2 as the green oxidant, was taken advantage of in order to introduce a cheap and environmentally friendly protocol for the synthesis of substituted isoxazolines. A variety of substitution patterns, both aromatic and aliphatic moieties, are well tolerated, leading to isoxazolines in moderate to excellent yields.

Abstract
Pd(OAc)2-catalyzed acetoxylations of 3-aryl or 3-alkyl groups mounted on a 2-isoxazoline ring were studied. Substituent effect on reactivity and regioselectivity was examined. The acetoxylation was applied to the synthesis of useful intermediates.
