Abstract
A solvent-dependent oxidative dearomatization-induced divergent [5+2] cascade approach to bicyclo[3.2.1]octanes was described. This novel protocol enables a facile synthesis of a series of diversely functionalized ent-kaurene and cedrene-type skeletons in good yields and excellent diastereoselectivities.

Abstract
A new sequential, one-pot protocol for transforming 1,3-disubstituted 2,3-epoxy ketones to β-hydroxy ketones and α-methylene ketones has been developed. Reaction of epoxy ketones with boron trifluoride etherate (BF3·OEt2) generates the cationic intermediates by regioselective epoxide ring opening and an acyl shift. Then, a treatment of these cations with 2-aryl-1,3-dimethylbenzimidazolines (DMBIH) results in formation of 1,2-disubstituted 3-hydroxy ketones. DMBIH serves as a hydride donor in the second step of this process. Finally, the β-hydroxy ketones can be converted to 1,2-disubstituted 2-methylene ketones by treatment with methanesulfonic acid or a combination of methanesulfonyl chloride and triethylamine. Importantly, the sequential steps involved in formation of the α-methylene ketone products can be carried out in one pot.

Abstract
Metal-mediated rearrangements of 3-alkynyl flavone ethers are reported. The overall process involves 5-endo enyne cyclization to a platinum-containing spiro-oxocarbenium intermediate which may be trapped with methanol to produce spirodihydrofurans or further rearranged to afford either allenyl chromanediones or benzofuranones.

Abstract
There are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title cyclohexanone derivative, C14H24OS, in which both cyclohexane rings exhibit chair conformations. They are also equatorial to each other, which permits the ethanethiol substituent to be in a syn conformation with the α-H atom of the parent attached cyclohexanone.

Abstract
The anabasine analogues spiro[4-azaindan-1,2'-piperidine] (7) and spiro[6-azaindan-1,2'-piperidine] (8) have been prepared. A series of palladium-catalyzed reactions, where an intramolecular cyclization constituted a key reaction, were utilized for the preparation of the two target compounds.
