Abstract
Two inorganic-organic hybrid complexes based on bi-capped Keggin-type cluster, {([CuII(2,2'-bpy)2]2[PMoVI8VV2VIV2O40(VIVO)2])[CuI(2,2'-bpy)]}∙2H2O (1) and {[CuII(2,2'-bpy)2]2[SiMoVI8.5MoV2.5VIVO40(VIVO)2]}[CuI0.5(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)0.5] (2) (bpy = bipyridine), had been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TGA, PXRD and X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Compound 1 consists of a novel 1-D chain structure constructed from [CuI(2,2'-bpy)]+ unit linking bi-supported POMs anion {[CuII(2,2'-bpy)2]2[PMoVI8VV2VIV2O40(VIVO)2]}-. Compound 2 is a bi-capped Keggin cluster bi-supported Cu-bpy complex. The main highlights of the two compounds are that Cu-bpy cations contain both CuI and CuII complexes. Furthermore, the fluorescence properties, the catalytic properties, and the photocatalytic performance of compounds 1 and 2 have been assessed, and the results show that both compounds are active for styrene epoxidation and degradation and adsorption of Methylene blue (MB), Rhodamine B (RhB) and mixed aqueous solutions.

Abstract
Seven compounds based on [P2W18O62]6- ({P2W18}) were successfully prepared and carefully characterized. [HC5H5N][Cu(2,2'-bpy)2]2[HP2W18O62]·2H2O (bpy = bipyridine) (1) is constructed from {P2W18} bridged by [Cu(2,2'-bpy)2]2+. [HC5H5N][Zn(2,2'-bpy)2]2[HP2W18O62]·4H2O (1a) is isostructural and isomorphous with compound 1. [Cu4(2,2'-bpy)3(nic)3(OH)2(H2O)][H3P2W18O62]·0.5H2O (nic = nicotinic acid) (2) is formed by {P2W18} and tetracopper transition metal mixed organic ligand complexes (TMMCs). [Cu2(2,2'-bpy)2(C2O4)]3[P2W18O62]·3H2O (3) is made up of {P2W18} and bicopper TMMCs, [Cu6(2,2'-bpy)6(OH)6][P2W18O62]·2H2O (4) is built up from {P2W18}, and hexacopper complexes of 2,2'-bpy and hydroxyls. [Cu(2,2'-bpy)(hnic)0.5][Cu3(2,2'-bpy)3(hnic)2(H2O)2][H3P2W18O62] (hnic = hydroxyl nicotinic acid) (5a) contains two different TMMCs. In addition, compound 5a is the first example of a compound that contains Cu-π interactions. [Cu2(2,2'-bpy)2(hnic)][H4P2W18O62]· xH2O ( x ≈ 50) (5b) is based on {P2W18} and [Cu2(2,2'-bpy)2(hnic)]2+. We discuss the mechanisms for the formations of these compounds. All the catalytic performances of the compounds for styrene epoxidation to styrene oxide are high.

Abstract
The morphologies and microstructures of Au-catalyzed InGaAs nanowires (NWs) prepared by a two-step solid-source chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method were systematically investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The detailed structural characterization and statistical analysis reveal that two specific morphologies are dominant in InGaAs NWs, a zigzag surface morphology and a smooth surface morphology. The zigzag morphology results from the periodic existence of twining structures, and the smooth morphology results from a lack of twining structures. HRTEM images and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) indicate that the catalyst heads have two structures, Au4In and AuIn2, which produce InGaAs NWs in a cubic phase crystalline form. The growth mechanism of the InGaAs NWs begins with Au nanoparticles melting into small spheres. In atoms are diffused into the Au spheres to form an Au-In alloy. When the concentration of In inside the alloy reaches its saturation point, the In precipitate reacts with Ga and As atoms to form InGaAs at the interface between the catalyst and substrate. Once the InGaAs compound forms, additional precipitation and reactions only occur at the interface of the InGaAs and the catalyst. These results provide a fundamental understanding of the InGaAs NW growth process which is critical to the formation of high-quality InGaAs NWs for various device applications.
