Abstract
Rink Hockey is a high-speed low-contact sport with a widely recognized injury potential. Played with a hard ball by players wearing little or no protective gear, the rates of concussions and head injuries are of high interest. In this study, we reviewed and investigated injuries sustained by 108 German National League rink hockey players. We conducted an epidemiological cross-sectional study to determine sport-specific injuries and injury patterns in female and male rink hockey players. Data were collected by a standardized questionnaire. A total of 108 players participated in the study. The combined rate of injuries were 9.4/1000 athlete exposures. There was no significant difference between injury rates during games and practice. A sexspecific difference was not detected. Head injuries were the most frequent type (20.8 % of all injuries). Concussions made up 7 % of all head injuries with a rate of 0.76/1000 athlete exposure. Ball contact was the cause for 31 % of injuries, while player contact generated 26.2 % of all injuries. High rates of ball-contact-related injuries resulted in time loss and medical consultations. Head injuries were frequent, however did not result in significant time loss as compared to other injuries. The use of protective gear should be recommended.

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to obtain the stress-strain of the cervical spine structure during the simulated manipulation of the oblique pulling manipulation and the cervical rotation-traction manipulation in order to compare the mechanical mechanism of the two manipulations. Methods: A motion capture system was used to record the key kinematic parameters of operating the two manipulations. At the same time, a three-dimensional finite element model of the C0-T1 full healthy cervical spine was established, and the key kinematic parameters were loaded onto the finite element model in steps to analyze and simulate the detailed process of the operation of the two manipulations. Results: A detailed finite element model of the whole cervical spine including spinal nerve roots was established, and the validity of this 3D finite element model was verified. During the stepwise simulation of the two cervical spine rotation manipulations to the right, the disc (including the annulus fibrosus and nucleus pulposus) and facet joints stresses and displacements were greater in the oblique pulling manipulation group than in the cervical rotation-traction manipulation group, while the spinal cord and nerve root stresses were greater in the cervical rotation-traction manipulation group than in the oblique pulling manipulation group. The spinal cord and nerve root stresses in the cervical rotation-traction manipulation group were mainly concentrated in the C4/5 and C5/6 segments. Conclusion: The oblique pulling manipulation may be more appropriate for the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, while cervical rotation-traction manipulation is more appropriate for the treatment of cervical spondylosis of cervical type. Clinicians should select cervical rotation manipulations for different types of cervical spondylosis according to the patient's symptoms and needs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To conduct a systematic search and synthesis of evidence about the measurement properties of the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) as patient-reported outcome measures in neck pain research. METHODS AND MATERIALS CINAHL, Embase, PsychInfo, and MedLine databases were searched to identify studies evaluating the psychometric properties of the NPRS and the VAS used in samples of which >50% of participants were people with neck pain. Quality and consistency of findings were synthesized to arrive at recommendations. RESULTS A total of 46 manuscripts were included. Syntheses indicated high-to-moderate-quality evidence of good-to-excellent (intraclass correlation coefficient 0.58 to 0.93) test-retest reliability over an interval of 7 hours to 4 weeks. Moderate evidence of a clinically important difference of 1.5 to 2.5 points was found, while minimum detectable change ranged from 2.6 to 4.1 points. Moderate evidence of a moderate association (r=0.48 to 0.54) between the NPRS or VAS and the Neck Disability Index. Findings from other patient-reported outcomes indicated stronger associations with ratings of physical function than emotional status. There is limited research addressing the extent that these measures reflect outcomes that are important to patients. DISCUSSION It is clear NPRS and the VAS ratings are feasible to implement, provide reliable scores and relate to multi-item patient-reported outcome measures. Responsiveness (meaningful change) of the scales and interpretation of change scores requires further refinement. The NPRS can be a useful single-item assessment complimenting more comprehensive multi-item patient-reported outcome measures in neck pain research and practice.
