Abstract
A new three-component 1,2-perfluoroalkyl trifluoromethylthiolation of alkenes via dual photoredox/copper catalysis has been established, affording a variety of CnF2n+1/CF3S-containing molecules under mild conditions in a redox-neutral manner. This protocol exhibits excellent functional group tolerance, broad compatibility with various alkenes and perfluoroalkyl iodides, and potential utility in the modification of bioactive molecules.

Abstract
Through the prosperity of organofluorine chemistry in modern organic synthesis, perfluorinated organic compounds are now abundant and widely available. Consequently, these substances become attractive starting materials for the production of complex, multifunctional fluorinated molecules. However, the inherent challenges associated with the activation and discrimination of the C-F bonds typically lead to overdefluorination as well as functional group incompatibility. To address these problems, our group utilized a rationally designed organophosphorus reagent that promoted mild and selective manipulation of a single C-F bond in trifluoromethyl and pentafluoroethyl ketones via an interrupted Perkow-type reaction, which allowed the replacement of fluorine with more labile and synthetically versatile congeners such as chlorine, bromine, and iodine. The resulting α-haloperfluoroketones have two reactive units with orthogonal properties that would be suitable for the subsequent structural diversification. DFT calculations identified the favorable P-F interaction as the crucial factor from both thermodynamic and kinetic viewpoints.

Abstract
A mild and efficient protocol for the perhaloacylation of α-carbonyl sulfoxonium ylides has been developed. The commercially available perfluoro- and perchloroacid anhydrides were used as acylating agents in catalyst- and additive-free reactions to access α-carbonyl-α'-perhaloacyl sulfoxonium ylides in high yields. The reaction offers a simple method to prepare valuable polyfluorinated organosulfur molecules.

Abstract
In this study, we have developed a smooth metal-free visible-light-induced bromo-perfluoroalkylation of unactivated olefins with the aid of 10-phenylphenothiazine (PTH) as an organic photoredox catalyst. The reaction is 100% atom-economic redox-neutral and proceeds with stoichiometric amounts of olefin and perfluoroalkyl bromide. To show the potential of these unexplored motifs, we carried out various postfunctionalizations taking advantage of the bromine atom, including gram-scale experiments.

Abstract
Interaction of enol ethers enol acetates, enamides and enamines with fluorinated reagents may be considered as a reliable method for the synthesis of organofluorine compounds. While classic nucleophile/electrophile substitution or addition mechanisms cannot be realized for coupling of these components, their intrinsic reactivities are revealed with the aid of photoredox catalysis. A combination of these electron donating and accepting components provides a perfect balance needed for individual redox steps, which in some cases may proceed even without a photocatalyst. The same electronic factors also support the key C,C-bond forming event involving addition of fluorinated radical at the electron rich double bond.

Abstract
Fluorinated organic compounds have attracted significant attention over the past few decades owing to their unique properties and versatility. An established method for the synthesis of fluorinated organic compounds involves radical perfluoroalkylation reactions towards double bonds. In this radical pathway, electrophilic perfluoroalkyl radicals exhibit excellent reactivity towards electron-rich olefins. Therefore, several splendid perfluoroalkylation reactions of electron-rich olefins have been reported. However, there are only a few examples of reaction involving electron-deficient olefins because of their poor electronic compatibility with perfluoroalkyl radicals. This review focuses on the reports that challenge this long-standing issue. Radical perfluoroalkylation/bifunctionalization reactions of electron-deficient olefins are described according to the radical generation methods.

Abstract
Allyl carboxylates are useful synthetic intermediates in a variety of organic transformations, including catalytic nucleophilic/electrophilic allylic substitution reactions and 1,2-difunctionalization reactions. However, the catalytic 1,3-difunctionalization of allyl carboxylates remains elusive. Herein, we report the first photoinduced, phosphine-catalyzed 1,3-carbobromination of allyl carboxylates, affording a range of valuable substituted isopropyl carboxylates (sIPC). The transformation has broad functional group tolerance, is amenable to the late-stage modification of complex molecules and gram-scale synthesis, and expands the reaction profiles of allyl carboxylates and phosphine catalysis. Preliminary experimental and computational studies suggest a non-chain-radical mechanism involving the formation of an electron donor-acceptor complex, 1,2-radical migration (RaM), and Br-atom transfer processes. We anticipate that the 1,2-RaM reactivity of allyl carboxylates and the phosphine-catalyzed radical reaction will both serve as a platform for the development of new transformations in organic synthesis.

Abstract
A novel method for the metal-free synthesis of amides from thioamides based on visible-light photoredox catalysis and in an air atmosphere is reported. Natural pigment chlorophyll is used as a photosensitizer to generate singlet molecular oxygen 1O2, which is involved in the aerobic desulfurization of thioamides. The protocol provides amides in good yields at room temperature under mild conditions. On the basis of experimental results, a plausible photoredox mechanism is proposed. A visible-light-promoted desulfurization of thioamides to amides is reported. Natural pigment chlorophyll is used as a photosensitizer to generate singlet molecular oxygen 1O2 as oxidants.![]()
