Abstract
OBJECTIVE to understand the transitional processes that affect the adaptation of people who live with limitations resulting from leprosy. METHODS This is a qualitative study based on the precepts of Transition Theory, mediated by care-research, with 24 people with limitations resulting from leprosy in an ex-hospital colony in Piauí. Semi-structured interviews were carried out. The interviews were analyzed using Iramuteq software. RESULTS the researched-caregivers experienced the four types of transitions, including feelings of fear, worry, loneliness, hopelessness, guilt and a tendency to hide the diagnosis. Breakdowns and resignation were revealed, with spirituality, adaptation to the new life situation and acceptance as facilitating conditions for coping with the transitional process, with a consequent improvement in quality of life. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS the transitional processes had a positive significance, since they contributed to adaptation and the achievement of quality of life.

Abstract
This study aimed to determine how the nursing approach based on Meleis's transition theory affects the self-management and adjustment to the illness among newly diagnosed diabetic patients. The study was conducted as one-group and pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The data were collected using the Introductory Questionnaire, the Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ), and the Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale-Self Report (PAIS-SR). It was determined that there was a positive increase in the total score of the DSMQ after the intervention, and a positive decrease in the total score of the PAIS-SR, and the difference between the scores were statistically significant (p < .05).

Abstract
BACKGROUND Frail elderly patients experience physiological function and reserve depletion, leading to imbalances in their internal environment, which increases the risk of coronary heart disease recurrence and malnutrition. However, the majority of these patients, who primarily have a low level of education and lack self-management skills, face difficulties actively dealing with obstacles during the transition period after their discharge from hospitalization. Therefore, it is necessary to understand and discuss in depth the nutrition management experience of discharged elderly patients with coronary heart disease and frailty (ages 65-80 years old) and to analyze the promoting and hindering factors that affect scientific diet behavior during the discharge transition period. METHODS Fifteen elderly patients with coronary heart disease and frailty who had been discharged from the hospital for 6 months were interviewed using a semistructured method. The directed content analysis approach to descriptive research was used to extract topics from the interview content. RESULTS All participants discussed the problems in health nutrition management experience of discharged. Five topics and ten subtopics were extracted, such as ①Weak perceptions and behaviors towards healthy eating (personal habit solidification, negative attitudes towards nutrition management), ②Lack of objective factors for independently adjusting dietary conditions (reliance on subjective feelings, times of appetite change), ③Personal hindrance factors (memory impairment, deficiencies in self-nutrition management), ④Expected external support (assistance care support, ways to obtain nutritional information), ⑤Lack of continuous nutrition management (interruption of professional guidance, avoidance of medical treatment behavior). CONCLUSIONS Nutrition management after discharge places a burden on elderly patients with coronary heart disease and frailty. According to the patients' physical conditions, we should develop a diet support system that is coordinated by individuals, families and society.

Abstract
A systematic review with meta-analysis was conducted to establish the impact of menopause health education on quality of life (QoL) among menopausal women. Research suggests that specific educational programs can support and enable women during the physical and emotional transition through menopause. The CINAHL, Medline, APA, Embase and Google Scholar databases were searched between 30 November 2021 and 9 January 2022 using the PRISMA guidelines. The Cochrane risk of bias tool was used to critically evaluate the included studies. Review Manager software was used to conduct the meta-analysis of suitable studies. Eight papers were eligible for this review. The participants were aged between 40 and 60 years, with diagnosis of menopause stemming from changes in the menstrual cycle to a last menstrual period of 7 years. Follow-up data were collected between 1 and 4 months post education. Meta-analysis of both the primary outcome (QoL) and secondary outcome (symptom control) demonstrated statistically significant improvements post intervention. Papers not suitable for meta-analysis were reviewed narratively; two papers assessing the primary outcome (QoL) demonstrated an improvement, but only one to a statistically significant level. Secondary outcomes revealed improvements, with all bar one paper doing so to statistical significance. Menopause health education demonstrated an improvement in both QoL and symptom control in menopausal women; however, given some weaknesses in the included studies, further research is justified. Limitations include participants' level of education, geographical location, risk of bias, that only half of the papers addressed participant use of hormone replacement therapy and length of follow-up.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES 1) To explore the main characteristics of intensive care unit transition according to patients' lived experience and 2) To identify nursing therapeutics to facilitate patients' transition from the intensive care unit to the inpatient unit. METHODOLOGY Secondary Analysis (SA) of the findings of a descriptive qualitative study on the experience of patients admitted to an ICU during the transition to the inpatient unit, based on the Nursing Transitions Theory. Data for the primary study were generated from 48 semi-structured interviews of patients who had survived critical illness in 3 tertiary university hospitals. RESULTS Three main themes were identified during the transition of patients from the intensive care unit to the inpatient unit: 1) nature of ICU transition, 2) response patterns and 3) nursing therapeutics. Nurse therapeutics incorporates information, education and promotion of patient autonomy; in addition to psychological and emotional support. CONCLUSIONS Transitions Theory as a theoretical framework helps to understand patients' experience during ICU transition. Empowerment nursing therapeutics integrates the dimensions aimed at meeting patients' needs and expectations during ICU discharge.

Abstract
Empowering women with breast cancer leads to better adaptation to diagnosis and treatment, and reduces the symptoms of cancer. The purpose of the researchers is to determine the effect of a telephone counseling and follow-up program on empowerment of women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy. We used a non-randomized clinical trial design. Researchers applied the telephone counseling and follow-up to the intervention group for 8 weeks. At the end of study, the intervention group showed improvement in measures of cancer functional management and breast cancer specific function, along with satisfaction with the decision, general symptoms of cancer and specific symptoms of breast cancer.
