Abstract
Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is emerging as an innovative approach for cancer treatment because of its selectivity for malignant cells and absence of significant adverse effects. While modern oncological therapies face challenges such as tumor heterogeneity and treatment resistance, CAP presents itself as a low-cost and environmentally sustainable alternative. Its mechanisms of action involve reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS), UV radiation, and electromagnetic fields, which induce cell death. Preclinical and clinical studies have demonstrated the efficacy of CAP, with devices such as dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) and the plasma jet developed to minimize damage to healthy cells. Some CAP devices are already approved for clinical use, showing safety and efficacy. However, the standardization of treatments remains a challenge due to the variety of devices and parameters used. Although CAP has shown promising cytotoxic effects in vitro and in animal models, especially in different cancer cell lines, further research, particularly in vivo and in veterinary medicine, is needed to optimize its clinical use and maximize its efficacy in combating cancer.

Abstract
Over the world, millions of individuals suffer from psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory skin disease. It is caused by a multifaceted mixture of environmental, immunological, and genetic factors. This review explores the many aspects of psoriasis, where the introduction gives a context background, emphasizing the prevalence and difficulties that people encounter with this dermatological ailment. Further, the pathogenesis complex systems involving immunological dysregulation, genetic susceptibility, and triggers are clarified, providing insights into the disease's fundamental mechanisms. Examining drugs shows how, over time, therapy modalities have evolved, moving from traditional topical treatments to the introduction of biologics and small molecules. The continuous efforts to control symptoms, reduce inflammation, and improve patient outcomes are highlighted in this section. Furthermore, a thorough review of patents reveals the creative advancements made in the sector, highlighting encouraging advancements in treatment modalities and potential paths forward. This manuscript is a review article and is based on various research and review articles. We have summarized the salient features and findings from different articles and prepared this manuscript.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this study is to determine narrowband UVB (NB-UVB) irradiation's effect on the promotion of skin cancer, particularly its effect on DNA damage, oxidative stress, inflammation, and histological changes in Wistar rat skin. Materials and Methods Wistar rats were selected for this study and randomly divided into control, dimethylbenzanthracene (DMBA), and DMBA+NB-UVB groups. The rats were given a single dose of DMBA and exposed to NB-UVB 3 times a week for 10 weeks. The radiation dose started with 1 minimal erythema dose, which is equivalent to 3.192 J/cm². In the 11th week, analysis on cyclobutene pyrimidine dimer (CPD), malondialdehyde (MDA), nuclear factor kappa-B (NFκB), inflammatory cytokines, and histopathology examination of the skin tissue was conducted. Results Higher CPD, MDA, NFκB, tumor necrosis factor a (TNF-a), interleukin (IL)-6, IL-11, IL-10, and IL-12 levels in rats exposed to DMBA+NB-UVB for 10 weeks compared to control and DMBA groups. Macroscopic examination presented erythema, skin thickening, desquamation, ulcer, and crust. Histopathology examination showed hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, atypical keratinocytes, irregular arrangement of the basement membrane, and inflammatory cell infiltration in the DMBA+NB-UVB group. Conclusion This research has shown that 10 weeks of a combination of DMBA and NB-UVB irradiation induced DNA damage, oxidative stress, inflammation, and histological changes in the Wistar rat skin.

Abstract
Autoimmune diseases encompass a wide range of disorders characterized by disturbed immunoregulation leading to the development of specific autoantibodies, which cause inflammation and multiple organ involvement. However, its pathogenesis remains unelucidated. Furthermore, the cumulative medical and economic burden of autoimmune diseases is on the rise, making these diseases a ubiquitous global phenomenon that is predicted to further increase in the coming decades. Coumarins, a class of aromatic natural products with benzene and alpha-pyrone as their basic structures, has good therapeutic effects on autoimmune diseases. In this review, we systematically highlighted the latest evidence on coumarins and autoimmune diseases data from clinical and animal studies. Coumarin acts on immune cells and cytokines and plays a role in the treatment of autoimmune diseases by regulating NF-κB, Keap1/Nrf2, MAPKs, JAK/STAT, Wnt/β-catenin, PI3K/AKT, Notch and TGF-β/Smad signaling pathways. This systematic review will provide insight into the interaction of coumarin and autoimmune diseases, and will lay a groundwork for the development of new drugs for autoimmune diseases.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE In Malaysia, there is now a dearth of recommendations pertaining to the priority of biologic treatments for the effective management of psoriasis, given the multitude of available therapeutic alternatives. Present analysis reports results of a cost-effectiveness model that determines the most optimal arrangement of biologic treatments, with a particular focus of adding biosimilars to the existing treatment pathway for psoriasis in Malaysia. METHODS A Markov model was developed to compare the cost effectiveness of various biologic sequential treatments in a hypothetical cohort of moderate to severe psoriasis patient in Malaysia over a lifetime horizon. The model simulated the progression of patients through three lines of active biologic therapy, before transitioning to best supportive care. Costs and effects were discounted annually at a rate of 3%. RESULTS First line secukinumab has produced lowest incremental cost effectiveness ratios (ICERs) when compared to first line systemic [ICERs value; US$152,474 (first set analysis) and US$110,572 (second set analysis)] and first line phototherapy [ICERs value; US$147,057 (first set analysis) and US$107,616 (second set analysis)]. However, these values were slightly higher than the Malaysian based threshold of three times gross domestic product per capita, US$104,337. A 40% reduction in the unit costs of reference biologics renders most of the evaluated treatment sequences cost-effective. CONCLUSION Adding biosimilar to the current treatment sequence could achieve cost savings ranging from 4.3% to 10.8% without significant loss of effectiveness. Given the significant impact of comorbidities and the resulting decline in quality of life among individuals with psoriasis, it may be justifiable to establish a threshold of up to US$184,000 per quality-adjusted life year (QALY) for the provision of therapies in the context of Malaysia.

Abstract
Light exposure has been proven to have a significant impact on human health. As a result, researchers are increasingly exploring its potential benefits and drawbacks. With advancements in understanding light and the manufacturing of light sources, modern health lighting has become widely utilized in daily life and plays a critical role in the prevention and treatment of various illnesses. The use of light in healthcare is a global trend, with many countries actively promoting the development and application of relevant scientific research and medical technology. This field has gained worldwide attention and support from scientists and doctors alike. In this review, we examine the application of lighting in human health and recent breakthroughs in light exposure related to pathology, therapeutic strategies, molecular changes, and more. Finally, we also discuss potential future developments and areas of application.

Abstract
Dermatomyositis (DM) is a type of inflammatory myopathy with unknown causes. It is characterized by distinct skin lesions, weakness in the muscles close to the body, and the potential to affect multiple organs. Additionally, it may be associated with the presence of malignancies. The development of DM is influenced by genetic susceptibility, autoimmune response, and various external factors like cancer, drugs, and infectious agents. Psoriasis is a chronic, recurring, inflammatory, and systemic condition. Scaly erythema or plaque is the typical skin manifestation. The etiology of psoriasis involves genetic, immune, environmental and other factors. It is uncommon for a patient to have both of these diseases simultaneously, although individuals with DM may occasionally exhibit symptoms similar to those of psoriasis. Our patient was diagnosed with psoriasis in his 50s because of scalp squamous plaques, but he did not receive standard treatment. Ten years later, he developed symptoms of muscle pain and limb weakness. He was diagnosed with psoriasis complicated with dermatomyositis in our department and received corresponding treatment. Moreover, we reviewed the relevant literature to evaluate similarities and differences in clinical manifestation and treatment to other cases.

Abstract
The action of UVA radiation (both that derived from solar radiation and that used in the treatment of skin diseases) modifies the function and composition of keratinocyte membranes. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the effects of phytocannabinoids (CBD and CBG), used singly and in combination, on the contents of phospholipids, ceramides, lipid rafts and sialic acid in keratinocyte membranes exposed to UVA radiation, together with their structure and functionality. The phytocannabinoids, especially in combination (CBD+CBG), partially prevented increased levels of phosphatidylinositols and sialic acid from occurring and sphingomyelinase activity after the UVA exposure of keratinocytes. This was accompanied by a reduction in the formation of lipid rafts and malondialdehyde, which correlated with the parameters responsible for the integrity and functionality of the keratinocyte membrane (membrane fluidity and permeability and the activity of transmembrane transporters), compared to UVA-irradiated cells. This suggests that the simultaneous use of two phytocannabinoids may have a protective effect on healthy cells, without significantly reducing the therapeutic effect of UV radiation used to treat skin diseases such as psoriasis.
