Abstract
OBJECTIVE This scoping review synthesizes the available evidence on team outpatient eating disorder treatment, focusing on team composition, reported health and service outcomes, and reported principles of Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPCP), a synergistic healthcare approach characterized by shared values and ethics, clear roles, communication, and teamwork. METHOD A comprehensive search was conducted across five databases, targeting studies published between January 2004 and August 2024 that discussed team-based outpatient eating disorder treatment. Peer-reviewed and gray literature were included if they detailed team composition, characteristics, dynamics, experiences, processes, or outcomes. RESULTS Forty-five studies met the inclusion criteria; nearly half were case reports or lacked primary data. Treatment teams commonly comprised mental health professionals, dietitians, and medical practitioners. Clinical outcomes, such as body mass index and psychopathology, were the most frequently reported, while satisfaction and organizational outcomes were underrepresented. IPCP principles were inconsistently reported, with "Roles/Responsibilities" and "Communication" most frequently mentioned but often superficially addressed. DISCUSSION The evidence base for team outpatient eating disorder treatment lacks rigor and depth. Future research should focus on refining the integration of roles across disciplines, developing comprehensive outcome measures for benchmarking, and applying IPCP principles more systematically.

Abstract
Little is known about the therapeutic alliance (TA) formed with different professionals in multidisciplinary eating disorder (ED) treatment, particularly in the context of online treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic. We aimed to conduct a pilot study during the COVID-19 pandemic examining characteristics of patients' TA with their dieticians and psychotherapists, associations between patients' and therapists' views of the TA, and relationships between psychological characteristics and TAs. Sixty-three patients with EDs and their treating psychotherapists and dieticians were surveyed during the COVID-19 pandemic using the Working Alliance Inventory (WAI-S). Spearman correlation tests were used to examine associations between variables. Positive associations were found between the TAs examined. Concordance was stronger in patient-dietician dyads than in patient-psychotherapist dyads. Severe ED psychopathology was associated with weaker TA (bond subscale). General psychopathology was associated with weaker TA with the dietician (task subscale). Given that several differences were found between the TAs of treatment dyads, further longitudinal studies are needed to validate our pilot findings and to investigate multidisciplinary TAs and their impact on treatment outcomes in online ED treatment settings during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in other treatment settings (e.g., in-person settings). This study will contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of TAs in multidisciplinary ED treatment and inform the development of more effective interventions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study explores interprofessional collaboration amongst healthcare professionals in patient education. METHODS A systematic review was conducted. A search in seven databases was conducted from 2011 to 2022 and screened against the inclusion criteria. Quality appraisal was done independently by two reviewers. Studies were extracted and synthesised using the data-based convergent synthesis design. RESULTS Twenty-one studies were included. Five themes on factors affecting interprofessional collaboration in patient education emerged: 1) role clarification, 2) communication infrastructure, 3) shared space for collaboration, 4) interprofessional trust, and 5) organisational support. CONCLUSION Findings highlighted the importance of developing trustful relationships within the multidisciplinary team in delivering patient education. Channels for additional infrastructural support, guidelines and training in patient education delivery is required. Future research could explore patients' perspectives on how their learning needs in patient education may be optimised through a multidisciplinary approach. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS Healthcare leaders could promote shared goals within the team by facilitating a common space and time for interprofessional team rounding, and by developing shared patient education resources and documentation processes. Interprofessional education focusing on the delivery of team-based patient education could be implemented to foster understanding of the interdependent role of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Abstract
Previous studies have used a query-based approach to search and gather scientific literature. Instead, the current study focused on domain-specific journals in the field of eating disorders. A total of 8651 documents (since 1981 to 2020), from which 7899 had an abstract, were retrieved from: International Journal of Eating Disorders (n = 4185, 48.38%), Eating and Weight Disorders (n = 1540, 17.80%), European Eating Disorders Review (n = 1461, 16.88%), Eating Disorders (n = 1072, 12.39%), and Journal of Eating Disorders (n = 393, 4.54%). To analyze these data, diverse methodologies were employed: bibliometrics (to identify top cited documents), network analysis (to identify the most representative scholars and collaboration networks), and topic modeling (to retrieve major topics using text mining, natural language processing, and machine learning algorithms). The results showed that the most cited documents were related to instruments used for the screening and evaluation of eating disorders, followed by review articles related to the epidemiology, course and outcome of eating disorders. Network analysis identified well-known scholars in the field, as well as their collaboration networks. Finally, topic modeling identified 10 major topics whereas a time series analysis of these topics identified relevant historical shifts. This study discusses the results in terms of future opportunities in the field of eating disorders.

Abstract
Despite sufficient evidence on the role of nutrition in psychosocial health, Marriage and Family Therapists lack the knowledge for sufficient assessment and referrals in treatment. The purpose of this article is to orient MFTs to human metabolism and the effects of various nutrients, or lack thereof, on the psychosocial health in their clients. The roles of several micronutrients and macronutrients will be described as well as the effects of eating patterns and overall metabolic health on mental health. Finally, implications for MFTs as sole practitioners, domains for assessment and psychoeducation, and recommendations for collaborating with nutrition professionals will be discussed.

Abstract
Physical activity can have a profound impact on the cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of our clients' lives, and can even boost and sustain therapy outcomes. And yet, family therapists may not be trained or educated in the importance of physical activity nor how to assess, educate, and collaborate with health professionals to incorporate physical activity in treatment. As the evidence grows on the connection between physical activity and biopsychosocial functioning and more family therapists enter medical and healthcare settings, a framework for physical activity competencies is needed. As such, the purpose of this conceptual and empirical review paper is to (a) review the important brain-boosting benefits of physical activity for mental, cognitive, and social health, (b) provide a framework for the domains for family therapists for incorporating exercise in assessment and treatment, and finally, (c) outline recommendations for practice, education and supervision, and research for family therapists.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aimed to summarise the nutrition and food-related content of treatment manuals for adults with eating disorders (EDs) and assess the degree to which this information conforms with current guidelines and literature. METHODS Treatment manuals for adults with an ED were identified by conducting an online search of Internet book dealer Amazon and University of Sydney library catalogue as per methods used in previous reviews of self-help patient resources. The nutrition and food-related content of these manuals was extracted and reviewed independently by two reviewers using a criteria based on current best evidence to date regarding dietetic treatment for EDs. RESULTS Twenty-two manuals met inclusion criteria, 20 (91%) of which contained some degree of nutrition and food-related content. Two manuals (9%) included content written by a dietitian, six (27%) included citation of dietetic literature to support the recommendations made and eight (36%) recommended a dietitian be consulted as part of a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. Thirteen manuals (60%) contained nutrition and food-related information not substantiated by current evidence. CONCLUSION It is common for treatment manuals for EDs to contain nutrition and food-related content. However, most of the authors of the 22 manuals identified did not appear to collaborate with a dietitian in writing this content or cite peer-reviewed literature to substantiate dietary advice given. Consistent with current clinical practice guidelines, greater collaboration between dietitians and clinicians is required to develop, evaluate and disseminate evidence-based approaches to dietetic management. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Working with people with eating disorders (EDs) is known to elicit strong emotional reactions, and the therapeutic alliance has been shown to affect outcomes with this clinical population. As a consequence, it is important to understand healthcare professionals' (HCPs') experiences of working with this client group. METHOD A meta-synthesis was conducted of qualitative research on HCPs' lived experiences of working with people with EDs. The results from the identified studies were analyzed using Noblit and Hare's meta-ethnographic method. Data were synthesized using reciprocal translation, and a line of argument was developed. RESULTS Thirty-seven studies met the inclusion criteria. Reciprocal translation resulted in a key concept: "Coping with caring without curing." This was underpinned by the following third-order concepts: (a) "The dissonance and discomfort of being a helper struggling to help," (b) "Defending against the dissonance," and (c) "Accepting the dissonance to provide safe and compassionate care." These concepts were used to develop a line-of-argument synthesis, which was expressed as a new model for understanding HCPs' experiences of working with people who have an ED. DISCUSSION Although the conflict associated with being a helper struggling to help led some HCPs to avoid and blame people with EDs, others adopted a compassionate stance characterized by humanity, humility, balance, and awareness.

Abstract
CONTEXT Interprofessional education (IPE) aspires to enable collaborative practice. Current IPE offerings, although rapidly proliferating, lack evidence of efficacy and theoretical grounding. OBJECTIVES Our research aimed to explore the historical emergence of the field of IPE and to analyse the positioning of this academic field of inquiry. In particular, we sought to investigate the extent to which power and conflict - elements central to interprofessional care - figure in the IPE literature. METHODS We used a combination of deductive and inductive automated coding and manual coding to explore the contents of 2191 articles in the IPE literature published between 1954 and 2013. Inductive coding focused on the presence and use of the sociological (rather than statistical) version of power, which refers to hierarchies and asymmetries among the professions. Articles found to be centrally about power were then analysed using content analysis. RESULTS Publications on IPE have grown exponentially in the past decade. Deductive coding of identified articles showed an emphasis on students, learning, programmes and practice. Automated inductive coding of titles and abstracts identified 129 articles potentially about power, but manual coding found that only six articles put power and conflict at the centre. Content analysis of these six articles revealed that two provided tentative explorations of power dynamics, one skirted around this issue, and three explicitly theorised and integrated power and conflict. CONCLUSIONS The lack of attention to power and conflict in the IPE literature suggests that many educators do not foreground these issues. Education programmes are expected to transform individuals into effective collaborators, without heed to structural, organisational and institutional factors. In so doing, current constructions of IPE veil the problems that IPE attempts to solve.
