Abstract
Detailed phytochemical investigation on the traditional Chinese medicine Swertia pseudochinensis Hara led to the isolation of ten undescribed secoiridoids and fifteen known analogs. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis (including 1D and 2D NMR, and HRESIMS). Selected isolates were assayed for their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activities, and moderate anti-inflammatory activity via inhibiting the secretion of cytokines IL-6 and TNF-α in macrophages RAW264.7 induced by LPS were observed. Antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus was not found at 100 μM.

Abstract
Fourteen isopimarane diterpenoids (1-14) were isolated from the rhizomes of Kaempferia galanga, including four new compounds (1-4). The isolated secondary metabolites were identified through analysis of spectroscopic (1 D and 2 D NMR) and mass spectrometric data, together with X-ray diffraction studies. Compounds 4-5, 7-11, and 13 showed strong antimalarial activities, with IC50 values in the range of 1.46-3.99 μg/mL. Moreover, compounds 4, 5, 8, and 12 showed cytotoxicity against KB cell line with IC50 values in the range of 6.13-38.2 μg/mL, while compounds 4, 5, and 12 showed cytotoxicity against MCF-7 cell line with IC50 values in the range of 11.75-47.4 μg/mL. Eventually, the isolated compounds were screened against six bacterial strains and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, demonstrating weak to moderate activities.

Oliveramine: An Isolated Alkaloid from Fagraea fragrans (Tembesu) Bark. JURNAL KIMIA SAINS DAN APLIKASI 2022. Abstract
This paper described the progress of phytochemical, especially alkaloids, work on Fagraea fragrans species (tembesu), Loganiaceae. A dimeric-pyridine alkaloid with molecular formula C20H20O4N2 has been successfully isolated from diethyl ether extracts from this plant’s barks. The alkaloid was explored from diethyl ether extracts using sulphuric acid (2%), then basified with ammonium hydroxide (25%) until the solution had a pH of 10.5. The later solution was extracted again with chloroform. The alkaloid residue was subjected to column chromatography and eluted with 10% acetone in chloroform. The chemical structure of the isolated dimeric-pyridine alkaloid was determined by LCMS/MS, 13C-NMR, and 1H-NMR spectroscopies. As a result, the isolated dimeric-pyridine alkaloid was closely similar to the oliveramine alkaloid, and this is also the first report about oliveramine from Fagraea fragrans (F. Fragrans).

Abstract
Two new compounds belonging to a new class of acetophenone-alkaloid hybrids, acroquinolones A (1a) and B (1b), together with six known compounds, were isolated from the leaves of Acronychia pedunculata (L.) Miq. Their structures contain a quinolone and an acetophenone fragment, connected through an isopentyl unit. Attempts to isolate more hybrids from another sample collected at the same location but during a different season led to the isolation of a new tocopherol (2). The new compounds were evaluated against several cancer cell lines.

Abstract
A new lignan, named fagraeanolide (1), and 14 known compounds were isolated from the stem bark of Fagraea fragrans Roxb. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. Fagraeanolide is the first identified oxofurofuran lignan from the genus Fagraea, whileβ-boswelic acid (4), gentiogenol (5), 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-acrylic acid octacosyl ester (7) and pinoresinol (14) were isolated from this plant for the first time. The crude extract of F. fragrans was not toxic to cell lines. The isolated compounds showed no antibacterial activity.
