Abstract
Primary lymphoma of liver is a rare malignancy with non-specific clinical features and tumor markers. The presentation and imaging features may be indistinguishable from other hepatic malignant lesions. Pathological diagnosis is the gold standard, and early detection is essential to choose the treatment modality. Here, we share an interesting case of Primary Diffuse Large B cell lymphoma of liver and its imaging findings on Computed tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and F-18 FDG PET/CT.

Abstract
Renal transplantation is undoubtedly an effective treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease, but it is certainly not a cure. Patients require lifelong immunosuppression to maintain optimal allograft function, and post-operative risk complications such as cancer in the transplant recipient cannot be ignored. Besides, infection is a silent complication that follows transplantation. Relatedly, herein, we present a report of a 40-year-old patient who underwent renal transplantation and promptly developed a diffuse large B-cell tumor in the liver and Aspergillus infection in the trachea. In addition, an inflammatory necrotizing granuloma was also observed in the muscles. Of importance, we also described the potential of 18F-FDG-PET/CT, which was instrumental in monitoring and evaluating these relevant post-operative complications in this rare case.

Abstract
The common differential diagnoses for multiple space-occupying hepatic lesions (SOL) are metastases, multifocal hepatocellular carcinoma, and abscess. Primary hepatic lymphomas are rare entities that present many challenges with regard to their management. Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography-computed tomography is extensively used for the staging and response assessment of lymphomas but it can be challenging and difficult to interpret in cases with isolated liver involvement. We hereby present the case of an 82-year-old lady who presented with multiple liver SOL.

Abstract
Liver has a complex and unique energy metabolism and plays a major role in glucose homeostasis. Liver is the main control center for glycogenesis, glycogenolysis, glycolysis and gluconeogenesis which are essential to provide energy for other tissues. Liver meets its own energy need from various sources which is mainly glucose in the fed state and fatty acids in the fasting state. In this review article, we will mainly describe the glucose metabolism of the liver, effect of various factors on 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) activity/uptake in the normal liver and 18F- FDG positron emission tomography (PET) uptake patterns in various malignant and benign liver pathologies. Brief information on metabolomics profiling analyses in liver disorders will also be provided.

Abstract
Primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL) is a rare form of extranodal lymphomas, mainly invading the liver and local tissues. The incidence, clinical characteristics and survival of patients with PHL in the United States. An applicable PHL model can forecast the dynamic survival rate of patients with PHL.
Objective Primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL) is a rare malignancy with lesions confined to the liver. It is characterized by a large number of monomorphic, medium-sized lymphocytic infiltrates in the hepatic sinusoid. Due to the rarity of this malignancy, our current understanding of PHL is limited. Methods We collected incidence, mortality, and clinical data of PHL patients diagnosed between 1975 and 2016 using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. The annual percentage changes (APCs) and prognoses were analyzed using the Joinpoint and R package. Results Among the 1,372 patients, white males were prevalent, and the most common histological subtype was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The incidence and mortality rate of PHL was 0.075/100,000 person-years and 0.055/100,000 person-years, respectively. The annual incidence rate of PHL increased significantly, with an APC of 2.74% (P < 0.001). The 3- and 5-year overall survival (OS) rates of patients with PHL were 43.553% and 39.242%, respectively. The 3- and 5-year relative survival (RS) rates were 46.925% and 45.300%, respectively. Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that older age, black, DLBCL, and advanced-stage disease were independent predictors of unfavorable OS and RS. The C-index and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis confirmed the prognostic value of the nomograms established in this study. Conclusion The nomogram established in this study is a robust tool to predict the prognosis of PHL patients.

Abstract
Primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL) is an extremely rare entity with scarce information in evidence-based literature. Few case reports have described the role of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography-computed tomography (FDG PET-CT) in the diagnosing and staging of PHL. We report the case of a 78-year-old man with PHL who initially presented with weight loss and nonspecific fatigue. FDG PET-CT proved to be a beneficial tool in arriving at the diagnosis of this patient with nonspecific clinical presentation and also in the staging of PHL. Physiological uptake of FDG in the liver can be a potential cause of misinterpretation in such cases. Hence, knowing the imaging hallmarks can increase the accuracy in PET image interpretation.

Abstract
Hepatic lymphoma is a rare disease with poor prognosis because of delayed diagnosis. The disease comprises primary, metastatic, and intravascular hepatic lymphomas. The pathological characteristics of lymphomas differ contributing to difficulty in early diagnosis. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment result in improved prognosis; therefore, diagnostic radiology and its development with various contrast agents are critical for improving disease outcomes. Herein, we review hepatic lymphomas and summarize the results of imaging studies in correlation with pathological characteristics. The information provided will help physicians in early diagnosis and thereby improving prognosis.

Abstract
Primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL) has rarely been reported in patients with immunosuppression. We herein describe a case of Epstein-Barr virus- (EBV-) positive PHL in a 67-year-old Japanese woman receiving methotrexate (MTX) treatment for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The patient, who had been receiving MTX therapy for more than 6 years, presented with low-grade fever and abdominal pain. Initial laboratory tests showed mildly elevated liver enzymes with normal levels of alpha-fetoprotein and carcinoembryonic antigen, and computed tomography scans revealed multiple hepatic tumors with no lymph-node swelling. Examination of liver specimens obtained via ultrasonography-guided needle biopsy indicated EBV-positive diffuse large B cell lymphoma; therefore, she was diagnosed with PHL. MTX was discontinued, and she was carefully monitored thereafter owing to the prolonged history of MTX administration for RA. Rapid progression of PHL was observed; therefore 10 days after the PHL diagnosis, she received 6 cycles of R-THP-COP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, pirarubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone) therapy and achieved complete remission for more than 1 year. Although MTX-associated lymphoproliferative disorders often show remission after withdrawal of MTX, early diagnosis and treatment are essential for PHL in patients with RA treated with MTX, because of the aggressive nature of the disease.

Abstract
Primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL) is a very rare malignancy and is characterized by liver involvement at presentation with no affectation of the spleen, lymph nodes, peripheral blood, bone marrow, or other tissues until at least 6 months after diagnosis. PHL should be considered in the differential diagnosis in a patient with space-occupying liver lesions and normal levels of alpha-fetoprotein and CEA. A computed tomography (CT) scan is the commonly used modality for staging lymphomas. The widespread use of positron emission tomography/CT results in the improvement in the accuracy of detecting the extent of disease, response evaluation, and prognostication. The liver biopsy, due to its pleomorphic appearances in the needle biopsy specimen, can be very challenging. Current literature favors the combination of chemotherapy as the frontline treatment for its least invasiveness and improved survival. Favorable prognosis of PHL can be obtained by early surgery combined with chemotherapy in strictly selected patients. However, the optimal therapy is still unclear and the outcomes are uncertain.

Abstract
PURPOSE The authors evaluated the prognostic role of 18-fluoro-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/multidetector computed tomography ([(18)F]-FDG PET/MDCT) in treating patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL). MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively evaluated 132 patients with HL studied with PET/MDCT before the start of chemotherapy (CTX) for staging purposes and again after two CTX cycles with [doxorubicin (Adriblastin), bleomycin, vinblastine, dacarbazine (ABVD_] (interim PET/MDCT), at least 30 days after the end of the last CTX cycle and/or 3 months after the end of radiotherapy, if delivered (final PET-MDCT). RESULTS Interim PET-MDCT was negative in 104/132 patients (79%), and their final PET-MDCT showed complete remission in 102/104 (98%) of cases, with disease recurrence/persistence in two (2%). In the remaining 28 (21%) patients, interim PET-MDCT revealed an early response in 68% of cases and chemoresistance with disease progression in 32% of cases; in these 28 patients, final PET-MDCT showed a lack of response to treatment in 43% of cases (43%) and complete remission in 57% of cases. Statistical analysis of these data showed that interim PET-MDCT had a negative predictive value of 98% and a positive predictive value of 42%, with values of sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of 85.7%, 86.4% and 86.4%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Interim PET-MDCT has a reliable prognostic role in diagnosis and treatment of patients with HL, as it helps predict which patients are more likely to achieve a complete response at the end of treatment. PET/MDCT may also lead to a change in treatment, with reduced treatment-related toxic effects and significantly reduced total costs.
