Abstract
The title compound, C28H28N2O4, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-acetyl-1-naphthol with 1,4-bis(aminooxy)butane in ethanol. The molecule, which lies about an inversion centre, adopts a linear structure, in which the oxime groups and naphthalene ring systems assume ananticonformation. The intramolecular interplanar distance between parallel naphthalene rings is 1.054 (3) Å. Intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bonds are formed between the oxime nitrogen and hydroxy groups.

Abstract
In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Co(C(8)H(3)NO(6))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)](n), there are two symmetry-independent one-dimensional coordination polymers, which are approximately related by noncrystallographic inversion symmetry. Each zigzag chain is constructed from one Co(II) ion, one O-monodentate 5-nitro-isophthalate (ndc) dianion, one N,N'-bidentate 2,2'-bipyridyl ligand and one water mol-ecule. A symmetry-generated O,O'-bidentate ndc dianion completes the cobalt coordination environment, which could be described as very distorted cis-CoN(2)O(4) octa-hedral. The bridging ndc ligands result in parallel chains running along the a direction, and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds arising from the water mol-ecules complete the structure.

Abstract
The title compound, {[Nd2(CH2CHCOO)6(H2O)3]·3H2O}n, was synthesized by hydrothermal methods. The structure contains one-dimensional coordination polymers in which two distinct NdIII atoms show different coordination modes. One is coordinated by four bidentate acrylate ligands, two of which bridge NdIII atoms, and by two O atoms from a further two bridging acrylate ligands. The other NdIII atom is coordinated by two bidentate acrylate ligands, two O atoms from bridging acrylate ligands, and three water molecules. Extensive hydrogen bonding between the coordinated and uncoordinated water molecules and the O atoms of the acrylate ligands link the coordination polymers into a three-dimensional network.

Abstract
In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(C(8)H(3)NO(6))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)](n), there are two symmetry-independent one-dimensional coordination polymers related by a non-crystallographic inversion center. Within the polymers, the Cu(II )atoms, coordinated by the water mol-ecule and the chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligands, are bridged by 5-nitro-benzene-1,3-dicarboxyl-ate dianions which act as tridentate ligands; the carboxyl-ate groups exhibit monodentate and symmetric bidentate coordination modes. The Cu(II) atoms show a strongly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the two symmetry-independent coordination polymers form another one-dimensional polymeric structure via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between coordinated water mol-ecules and carboxyl-ate groups.

Abstract
The title compound, [Mn(C2H5O)2(C44H28N4)]PF6, was synthesized from manganese(III) 2,4-pentanedionate and 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylcalix[4]pyrrole by a hydrothermal reaction. The MnIII atom is located on an inversion centre and the asymmetric unit comprises one half-formula unit. The MnIII ion is hexacoordinated by four N atoms from one 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylcalix[4]pyrrole ligand and two O atoms from two deprotonated ethanol molecules. The equatorially located atoms (the Mn and four N atoms) are planar. The dihedral angles between the planes of the phenyl rings and the equatorial plane are 53.3 (2) and 81.8 (2)°. One hexafluorophosphate anion balances the charge.

The MnIII ion is hexacoordinated by two N and two O atoms from two phenolate ligands and two N atoms from two azide ligands. The MnIII cation lies on an inversion centre and, as a result, the asymmetric unit comprises one half-molecule.

In the title compound, [Sn(C6H11)3(C6H10NS2)], the SnIV atom is tetracoordinated by three C atoms from cyclohexyl groups and one S atom from a piperidinedithiocarboxylate anion. The coordination geometry is distorted tetrahedral, with Sn—C bond lengths in the range 2.133 (6)–2.188 (6) Å and with an Sn—S bond length of 2.4516 (19) Å. The nonbonded S atom of the piperidinedithiocarboxylate anion makes an Sn⋯S contact of 3.174 (3) Å.

In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(C(2)O(4))(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)]Cl·H(2)O, there are two independent Mn(III) complexes, two Cl(-) anions and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. Each Mn(III) atom is hexa-coordinated by four N atoms from two propane-1,3-diamine ligands and two O atoms from one oxalate ligand, resulting in a slightly distorted octa-hedral MnO(2)N(4) geometry. Mn-O and Mn-N bond lengths are in the ranges 1.969 (2)-2.020 (3) and 2.068 (3)-2.113 (4) Å, respectively. There are weak inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds with D⋯A distances in the range 2.831 (4)-3.423 (3) Å.

Abstract
The crystal structures of the series of four ternary complexes, [Pd(phen)(2,6-PDCA)].4H(2)O (1) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline; 2,6-PDCA=2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid), [Pd(bpy)(2,3-PDCA)].3H(2)O (2) (bpy=2,2'-bipyridineand; 2,3-PDCA=2,3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid) and [Pd(phen)(PHT)].2.5H(2)O (3) (PHT=o-phthalic acid ) and [Pd(bpy)(PHT)].1.5H(2)O (4), are determined and the coordination modes of palladium(II) ternary complexes are characterized. All complexes take the mononuclear Pd(II) complexes, in which central Pd(II) atom of each complex has a similar distorted square-planar four coordination geometry. In all complexes, the aromatic heterocyclic compounds, phen and bpy, behave as a bidentate N, N' ligand. In the complex 1 and 2, 2,6-PDCA and 2,3-PDCA behave as a bidentate N, O ligand, and in complex 3 and 4, PHT behaves as a bidentate O, O' ligand.
