Bis(mu-pyridine-2,6-carboxylato-O,N, O':O)bis[triaquamanganese(II)]-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (1/2)

2,2′-{1,1′-[Butane-1,4-diylbis(oxynitrilo)]diethylidyne}di-1-naphthol

The title compound, C28H28N2O4, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-acetyl-1-naphthol with 1,4-bis(aminooxy)butane in ethanol. The molecule, which lies about an inversion centre, adopts a linear structure, in which the oxime groups and naphthalene ring systems assume ananticonformation. The intramolecular interplanar distance between parallel naphthalene rings is 1.054 (3) Å. Intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bonds are formed between the oxime nitrogen and hydroxy groups.

catena-Poly[[aqua-(2,2'-bipyridyl)cobalt(II)]-μ-5-nitro-isophthalato]

In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Co(C(8)H(3)NO(6))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)](n), there are two symmetry-independent one-dimensional coordination polymers, which are approximately related by noncrystallographic inversion symmetry. Each zigzag chain is constructed from one Co(II) ion, one O-monodentate 5-nitro-isophthalate (ndc) dianion, one N,N'-bidentate 2,2'-bipyridyl ligand and one water mol-ecule. A symmetry-generated O,O'-bidentate ndc dianion completes the cobalt coordination environment, which could be described as very distorted cis-CoN(2)O(4) octa-hedral. The bridging ndc ligands result in parallel chains running along the a direction, and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds arising from the water mol-ecules complete the structure.

The title compound, {[Nd₂(CH₂CHCOO)₆(H₂O)₃]·3H₂O}_n, was synthesized by hydro­thermal methods. The structure contains one-dimensional coordination polymers in which two distinct Nd^III atoms show different coordination modes. One is coordinated by four bidentate acrylate ligands, two of which bridge Nd^III atoms, and by two O atoms from a further two bridging acrylate ligands. The other Nd^III atom is coordinated by two bidentate acrylate ligands, two O atoms from bridging acrylate ligands, and three water mol­ecules. Extensive hydrogen bonding between the coordinated and uncoordin­ated water mol­ecules and the O atoms of the acrylate ligands link the coordination polymers into a three-dimensional network.

catena-Poly[[aqua-(2,2'-bipyridine-κN,N')copper(II)]-μ-5-nitro-isophthalato-κO,O:O]

In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(C(8)H(3)NO(6))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)](n), there are two symmetry-independent one-dimensional coordination polymers related by a non-crystallographic inversion center. Within the polymers, the Cu(II )atoms, coordinated by the water mol-ecule and the chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligands, are bridged by 5-nitro-benzene-1,3-dicarboxyl-ate dianions which act as tridentate ligands; the carboxyl-ate groups exhibit monodentate and symmetric bidentate coordination modes. The Cu(II) atoms show a strongly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the two symmetry-independent coordination polymers form another one-dimensional polymeric structure via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between coordinated water mol-ecules and carboxyl-ate groups.

Bis(ethano-lato-κO)(5,10,15,20-tetra-phenyl-calix[4]pyrrole)manganese(III) hexa-fluoro-phosphate

The title compound, [Mn(C₂H₅O)₂(C₄₄H₂₈N₄)]PF₆, was synthesized from manganese(III) 2,4-penta­nedionate and 5,10,15,20-tetra­phenyl­calix[4]pyrrole by a hydro­thermal reaction. The Mn^III atom is located on an inversion centre and the asymmetric unit comprises one half-formula unit. The Mn^III ion is hexa­coordinated by four N atoms from one 5,10,15,20-tetra­phenyl­calix[4]pyrrole ligand and two O atoms from two deprotonated ethanol mol­ecules. The equatorially located atoms (the Mn and four N atoms) are planar. The dihedral angles between the planes of the phenyl rings and the equatorial plane are 53.3 (2) and 81.8 (2)°. One hexa­fluoro­phosphate anion balances the charge.

Tetra-μ-2,5-difluoro-benzoato-bis-[(2,2'-bipyridine)(2,5-difluoro-benzoato)gadolinium(III)]

In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Gd₂(C₇H₃F₂O₂)₆(C₁₀H₈N₂)₂], the asymmetric unit comprises one cation chelated by two 2,5-difluoro­benzoate and one 2,2′-bipyridine. Two cations are linked into dimers via three bridging carboxyl­ate groups from three 2,5-difluoro­benzoic acid units. The Gd^III ion is nine-coord­inated by seven O atoms and two N atoms.

Diazido-bis{2-[3-(dimethyl-amino)propyl-imino-meth-yl]phenol}manganese(III) perchlorate

The title compound, [Mn(N₃)₂(C₁₂H₁₈N₂O)₂]ClO₄, was synthesized from manganese(III) acetate, sodium azide and 2-[3-(dimethyl­amino)propyl­imino­meth­yl]phenol by a hydro­thermal reaction. The Mn^III ion is hexa­coordinated by two N and two O atoms from two phenolate ligands and two N atoms from two azide ligands. The Mn^III cation lies on an inversion centre and, as a result, the asymmetric unit comprises one half-mol­ecule.

Tricyclo-hexyl(piperidine-1-dithio-carboxyl-ato-κS)tin(IV)

In the title compound, [Sn(C₆H₁₁)₃(C₆H₁₀NS₂)], the Sn^IV atom is tetra­coordinated by three C atoms from cyclo­hexyl groups and one S atom from a piperidine­dithio­carboxyl­ate anion. The coordination geometry is distorted tetra­hedral, with Sn—C bond lengths in the range 2.133 (6)–2.188 (6) Å and with an Sn—S bond length of 2.4516 (19) Å. The nonbonded S atom of the piperidine­dithio­carboxyl­ate anion makes an Sn⋯S contact of 3.174 (3) Å.

In the title compound, [Cu(CH(3)CO(2))(C(12)H(11)N(2)O(4))(H(2)O)](n), the Cu(II) cation is tetra-coordinated by three carboxyl-ate O atoms from one 4-[N'-(2,4-dioxo-3-pentyl-idene)-hydrazino]-benzoate ligand and two acetate bridges, and by one water mol-ecule. The acetate bridges link adjacent Cu(II) cations, forming a chain. The crystal structure involves O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Tetra-aqua-bis[(1-carboxyl-atomethyl-1,3-benzimidazol-3-ium-3-yl)acetato-κO]palladium(II) dihydrate

In the title compound, [Pd(C₁₁H₉N₂O₄)₂(H₂O)₄]·2H₂O, the palladium(II) cation lies on an inversion centre and is hexa­coordinated by two carboxyl­ate O atoms from two (1-carboxyl­atomethyl-1,3-benzimidazol-3-ium-3-yl)acetate ligands and four water mol­ecules, with a slightly distorted octa­hedral geometry. O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules together.

Tris[2-(propyl-imino-meth-yl)phenolato-κN,O]cobalt(III)

The title compound, [Co(C(10)H(12)NO)(3)], was synthesized from cobalt(III) fluoride and 2-(propyl-imino-meth-yl)phenol in refluxing methanol. The Co(III) ion is hexa-coordinated by three N and three O atoms from three bidentate Schiff base ligands in an octa-hedral geometry.

Tetra-kis(μ-2,4-difluoro-benzoato)bis-[(2,4-difluoro-benzoato)(1,10-phenanthroline)gadolinium(III)]

In the title compound, [Gd(2)(C(7)H(3)F(2)O(2))(6)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], the asymmetric unit comprises one Gd(3+) cation chelated by two 2,4-difluoro-benzoate and one 1,10-phenanthroline ligands. Two cations are linked into a centrosymmetric dimer via three bridging carboxyl-ate groups of 2,4-difluoro-benzoate ligands. Each Gd(3+) ion is nine-coordinated by seven O atoms and two N atoms.

In the title compound, [Pd(C₈H₄O₄)(C₇H₆N₂)₂]_n, the Pd atom is tetra­coordinated by two carboxyl­ate O atoms from two benzene-1,4-dicarboxyl­ate (bdc) dianions and two N atoms from two benzimidazole ligands, resulting in a slightly distorted tetra­hedral PdO₂N₂ geometry. The bdc ligand acts as a bridge, linking the Pd atoms into a chain. Inter-chain N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the crystal structure.

μ-Oxido-bis-{chlorido[tris-(2-pyridylmethyl)amine]manganese(III)} bis-(hexa-fluorido-phosphate)

In the title compound, [Mn₂O(C₁₈H₁₈ClN₄)₂](PF₆)₂, the Mn atom is chelated by a tetra­dentate ligand via four N atoms, and further bonded to one chloride ion and one bridging oxide, to give a centrosymmetric cation and distorted octa­hedral coordination geometry.

Oxalatobis(propane-1,3-diamine)manganese(II) chloride monohydrate

In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(C(2)O(4))(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)]Cl·H(2)O, there are two independent Mn(III) complexes, two Cl(-) anions and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. Each Mn(III) atom is hexa-coordinated by four N atoms from two propane-1,3-diamine ligands and two O atoms from one oxalate ligand, resulting in a slightly distorted octa-hedral MnO(2)N(4) geometry. Mn-O and Mn-N bond lengths are in the ranges 1.969 (2)-2.020 (3) and 2.068 (3)-2.113 (4) Å, respectively. There are weak inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds with D⋯A distances in the range 2.831 (4)-3.423 (3) Å.

X-Ray Structure Characterization of Palladium(II) Ternary Complexes of Pyridinedicarboxylic and Phthalic Acid with Phenanthroline and Bipyridine

The crystal structures of the series of four ternary complexes, [Pd(phen)(2,6-PDCA)].4H(2)O (1) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline; 2,6-PDCA=2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid), [Pd(bpy)(2,3-PDCA)].3H(2)O (2) (bpy=2,2'-bipyridineand; 2,3-PDCA=2,3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid) and [Pd(phen)(PHT)].2.5H(2)O (3) (PHT=o-phthalic acid ) and [Pd(bpy)(PHT)].1.5H(2)O (4), are determined and the coordination modes of palladium(II) ternary complexes are characterized. All complexes take the mononuclear Pd(II) complexes, in which central Pd(II) atom of each complex has a similar distorted square-planar four coordination geometry. In all complexes, the aromatic heterocyclic compounds, phen and bpy, behave as a bidentate N, N' ligand. In the complex 1 and 2, 2,6-PDCA and 2,3-PDCA behave as a bidentate N, O ligand, and in complex 3 and 4, PHT behaves as a bidentate O, O' ligand.
