Abstract
MATERIALS AND METHODS Relevant articles published up to 17 June 2023 were retrieved from five databases (Cochrane Library/Embase/PubMed/SinoMed/Web of Science). The pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria determined the selection of publications. Pooled sensitivity (SEN), specificity (SPE), diagnostic odds ratio, likelihood ratio, and summary receiver operating characteristic curve were employed to assess the predictive value. The presence or potential sources of heterogeneity were investigated via subgroup and SEN analyses. RESULTS Ten published and eligible studies (1559 cases) were included in the evaluation for the capability of [TIMP-2]*[IGFBP7] to predict the poor prognosis of AKI through the random effect model. Pooled SEN, SPE, diagnostic odds ratio, and positive and negative likelihood ratios were 0.82 (95% CI: 0.77-0.86, I2 = 53.4%), 0.64 (95% CI: 0.61-0.67, I2 = 88.3%), 14.06 (95% CI: 7.31-27.05, I2 = 55.0%), 2.859 (95% CI: 2.15-3.77, I2 = 80.7%), and 0.28 (95% CI: 0.20-0.40, I2 = 35.0%), respectively. The estimated area under the curve was 0.8864 (standard error: 0.0306), and the Q* was 0.7970 (standard error: 0.0299). The endpoints and cutoff values were the main causes of heterogeneity. CONCLUSIONS [TIMP-2]*[IGFBP7] is possible in predicting poor prognosis of AKI, but it is better to be applied along with other indicators or clinical risk factors.

Abstract
The aim of our study was to evaluate the importance of insulin-like growth-factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP-7) as a potential marker of symptomatic peripheral artery disease (PAD) occurrence. The study group consisted of 145 patients with diagnosed PAD, who qualified for the invasive treatment. The control group consisted of 67 individuals representing the local population and an ischemic heart disease (IHD) group of 88 patients after myocardial infarction or percutaneous coronary intervention. Patients with PAD had significantly higher IGFBP-7 concentrations than control group (1.80 ± 1.62 vs. 1.41 ± 0.45 ng/mL, p = 0.04). No significant differences between PAD patients and IHD patients were found (1.80 ± 1.62 vs. 1.76 ± 1.04 ng/mL, p = 0.783). Patients with multilevel PAD presented significantly higher IGFBP-7 concentrations than patients with aortoiliac PAD-median 1.18 (IQR 0.48-2.23) vs. 1.42 ng/mL (0.71-2.63), p = 0.035. In the group of patients who died or had a major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE) during six months of follow-up, a statistically significant higher IGFBP-7 concentration was found (median 2.66 (IQR 1.80-4.93) vs. 1.36 ng/mL (IQR 0.65-2.34), p = 0.004). It seems that IGFBP-7 is elevated in patients with atherosclerotic lesions-regardless of their locations. Further research should be conducted to verify IGFBP-7 usefulness as a predictor of MACE or death.

IGFBP7 Concentration May Reflect Subclinical Myocardial Damage and Kidney Function in Patients with Stable Ischemic Heart Disease. Biomolecules 2022; 12:biom12020274. Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine the associations between insulin-like growth-factor-binding protein 7(IGFBP7) concentrations and concentrations of troponin T(TnT), N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) and the parameters of kidney function in patients with stable ischemic heart disease(IHD). The IHD group consisted of 88 patients, and the population group comprised 66 subjects without a history of IHD. IGFBP7, TnT and NTproBNP concentrations were measured. The IGFBP7 value was considerably higher in the IHD group (1.76 ± 1 ng/mL vs. 1.43 ± 0.44 ng/mL, respectively, p = 0.019). Additionally, IHD subjects had a significantly higher concentration of TnT and NTproBNP. In both groups there was a significant correlation between IGFBP7 and serum parameters of kidney function (creatinine concentration: population gr. r = 0.45, p < 0.001, IHD gr. r = 0.86, p < 0.0001; urea concentration: population gr. r = 0.51, p < 0.0001, IHD gr. r = 0.71, p < 0.00001). No correlation between IGFBP7 and microalbuminuria or the albumin to creatinine ratio in urine was found. Moreover, there was a significant correlation between IGFBP7 concentration and markers of heart injury/overload-TnT and NT-BNP(r = 0.76, p < 0.001 and r = 0.72, p < 0.001, respectively). Multivariate regression analysis in joint both revealed that the IGFBP7 concentration is independently associated with urea, creatinine and TnT concentrations (R2 for the model 0.76). IHD patients presented significantly higher IGFBP7 concentrations than the population group. Elevated IGFBP7 levels are associated predominantly with markers of kidney function and myocardial damage or overload.

Abstract
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is characterized by a sudden decrease in kidney function. Children with congenital heart disease are a special group at risk of developing AKI. We performed a systematic review of the literature to search for studies reporting the usefulness of novel urine, serum, and plasma biomarkers in the diagnosis and progression of AKI and their association with clinical outcomes in children undergoing pediatric cardiac surgery. In thirty studies, we analyzed the capacity to predict AKI and poor outcomes of five biomarkers: Cystatin C, Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, Interleukin-18, Kidney injury molecule-1, and Liver fatty acid-binding protein. In conclusion, we suggest the need for further meta-analyses with the availability of additional studies.

Abstract
The cell cycle is a highly regulated and orchestrated mechanism of life that ensures successive division of a cell and precise replication of cellular contents. Cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), and CDK inhibitors are three of the most critical cell cycle regulatory proteins that enable the smooth progression of cells through the different phases of cell cycle before and after division. The alteration of cell cycle-related proteins causes aberration in the normal cell cycle process, which is one of the pivotal causes of cancer and other diseases. Targeting cell cycle components has proven to be a valuable therapeutic strategy and leads to the development of novel anticancer therapeutic. The purpose of this book chapter is to summarize the literature and discuss the clinical significance of cell cycle-related proteins in cancers and other diseases, with a focus on identifying potential targets as therapeutic interventions for cancer patients.

Abstract
Introduction Novel biomarkers of acute kidney injury (AKI) are being developed and commercialized. However, none are universally available. The aim of this preliminary prospective observational study was to explore the effectiveness of intermittent urine oxygen tension (PuO2) monitoring without special equipment (using a blood gas analyzer) for predicting AKI after elective cardiovascular surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Methods Fifty patients who underwent elective cardiovascular surgery requiring CPB were enrolled in the study with written informed consent. Urine samples were intermittently collected from a urethral catheter at four points: T1, immediately after induction of general anesthesia in the operating room; T2, immediately after intensive care unit (ICU) admission; T3, six hours after ICU admission; and T4, 12 hours after ICU admission. PuO2 was measured with a blood gas analyzer. The Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes classification was used for the diagnosis of AKI, then patients were followed up until postoperative day 7. By generating the receiver operating characteristic curves, the cut-off value of PuO2 and area under the curve (AUC) for predicting the onset of AKI was calculated. The odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) of each time point were calculated using logistic regression analysis or exact logistic regression method. P < 0.05 was considered significant. Results Twelve patients were diagnosed with AKI (24% morbidity). The cut-off values of PuO2 for predicting onset of AKI at the four time points were T1, PuO2 ≥ 132.4 mmHg (OR 3.1, 95% CI 0.78-12.0, p = 0.11, AUC 0.57); T2, PuO2 ≥ 153.3 mmHg (OR 5.8, 95% CI 1.08-31.4, p = 0.04, AUC 0.51); T3, PuO2 ≥ 130.1 mmHg (OR 0.19, 95% CI 0.05-0.75, p = 0.018, AUC 0.68); T4, PuO2 ≥ 88.6 mmHg (OR 0.07, 95% CI 0-0.486, p = 0.011, AUC 0.64). Conclusion Intermittent PuO2 values at six and 12 hours after ICU admission may be predictors of AKI, although the AUCs to predict AKI were low (0.68 and 0.64). AKI prediction by PuO2 was not possible immediately after induction of general anesthesia (not statistically significant) and immediately after ICU admission (AUC was very low). Further studies are required to confirm the validity of intermittent PuO2 monitoring.

Abstract
The pipeline of biomarker translation from bench to bedside is challenging and limited biomarkers have been adopted to routine clinical care. Ideally, biomarker research and development should be driven by unmet clinical needs in health care. To guide researchers, clinical chemists and clinicians in their biomarker research, the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) has developed a structured questionnaire in which the clinical gaps in current clinical pathways are identified and desirable performance specifications are predefined. In kidney injury, the high prevalence of the syndrome acute kidney injury (AKI) in the hospital setting has a significant impact on morbidity, patient survival and health care costs, but the use of biomarkers indicating early kidney injury in daily patient care remains limited. Routinely, medical labs measure serum creatinine, which is a functional biomarker, insensitive for detecting early kidney damage and cannot distinguish between renal and prerenal AKI. The perceived unmet clinical needs in kidney injury were identified through the EFLM questionnaire. Nephrologists within our tertiary care hospital emphasized that biomarkers are needed for (1) early diagnosis of in-hospital AKI after a medical insult and in critically ill patients, (2) risk stratification for kidney injury prior to a scheduled (elective) intervention, (3) kidney injury monitoring in patients scheduled to receive nephrotoxic medication and after kidney transplantation and (4) differentiation between prerenal AKI and structural kidney damage. The biomarker search and selection strategy resulted in a rational selection of an eleven-protein urinary panel for kidney injury that target these clinical needs. To assess the clinical utility of the proposed biomarker panel in kidney injury, a multiplexed LC-MS test is now in development for the intended translational research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Recognition and clinical diagnosis of acute kidney injury (AKI) after trauma is difficult. The majority of trauma patients do not have a known true baseline creatinine, which makes application of the guidelines set forth by the international guidelines difficult to apply. Use of alternative biomarkers of renal dysfunction in trauma patients may be beneficial. We hypothesized that urinary tissue inhibitor of metalloprotease 2 (TIMP-2) × insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP-7) would accurately predict AKI development in severely injured trauma patients. METHODS A prospective observational study of adult (≥16 years old) trauma intensive care unit (ICU) patients was performed between September 2018 to March 2019. Urine was collected on ICU admission and was measured for TIMP-2 × IGFBP-7. Univariate, multivariable, and receiver operating characteristic curve analyses were performed using the optimal threshold generated by a Youden index. MAIN RESULTS Of 88 included patients, 75% were male, with a median injury severity score was 27 (interquartile range [IQR], 17-34), and age of 40 years (IQR, 28-54 years). Early AKI developed in 39 patients (44%), and of those, 7 (8%) required dialysis within 48 hours. Patients without early AKI had a TIMP-2 × IGFBP-7 of 0.17 U (IQR, 0.1-0.3 U), while patients with early AKI had a TIMP-2 × IGFBP-7 of 0.46 U (IQR, 0.17-1.29 U; p < 0.001). On multivariable analyses, TIMP-2 × IGFBP-7 was associated with AKI development (p = 0.02) and need for dialysis (p = 0.03). Using the optimal threshold 0.33 U to predict AKI, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.731, with an accuracy of 0.75, sensitivity of 0.72, and specificity of 0.78. CONCLUSION Urinary TIMP-2 × IGFBP-7 measured on ICU admission accurately predicted 48-hour AKI and was independently associated with AKI and dialysis requirement after trauma and is a promising screening tool for treatment. Abstract
Acute kidney injury is a common complication of acute illnesses and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Over the past years several acute kidney injury biomarkers for diagnostication, decision-making processes, and prognosis of acute kidney injury and its outcomes have been developed and validated. Among these biomarkers, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2) and insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7), the so-called cell cycle arrest biomarkers, showed a superior profile of accuracy and stability even in patients with substantial comorbidities. Therefore, in 2014, the US Food and Drug Administration approved the use of the product of TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 ([TIMP-2] × [IGFBP7]), known as cell cycle arrest biomarkers, to aid critical care physicians and nephrologists in the early prediction of acute kidney injury in the critical care setting. To date, Nephrocheck® is the only commercially available test for [TIMP-2] × [IGFBP7]. In this narrative review, we describe the growing clinical and investigational momentum of biomarkers, focusing on [TIMP-2] × [IGFBP7], as one of the most promising candidate biomarkers. Additionally, we review the current state of clinical implementation of Nephrocheck®.

Abstract
Perioperative organ injury is among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality of surgical patients. Among different types of perioperative organ injury, acute kidney injury occurs particularly frequently and has an exceptionally detrimental effect on surgical outcomes. Currently, acute kidney injury is most commonly diagnosed by assessing increases in serum creatinine concentration or decreased urine output. Recently, novel biomarkers have become a focus of translational research for improving timely detection and prognosis for acute kidney injury. However, specificity and timing of biomarker release continue to present challenges to their integration into existing diagnostic regimens. Despite many clinical trials using various pharmacologic or nonpharmacologic interventions, reliable means to prevent or reverse acute kidney injury are still lacking. Nevertheless, several recent randomized multicenter trials provide new insights into renal replacement strategies, composition of intravenous fluid replacement, goal-directed fluid therapy, or remote ischemic preconditioning in their impact on perioperative acute kidney injury. This review provides an update on the latest progress toward the understanding of disease mechanism, diagnosis, and managing perioperative acute kidney injury, as well as highlights areas of ongoing research efforts for preventing and treating acute kidney injury in surgical patients.

Abstract
NephroCheck® is the commercial name of a combined product of two urinary biomarkers, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 (TIMP-2) and insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7), expressed as [TIMP-2]·[IGFBP7], used to identify patients at high risk of acute kidney injury (AKI). AKI is a common and harmful complication especially in critically-ill patients, which can induce devastating short- and long-term outcomes. Over the past decade, numerous clinical studies have evaluated the utility of several biomarkers (e.g. neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, interleukin-18, liver-type fatty acid binding protein and kidney injury molecule-1, cystatin C) in the early diagnosis and risk stratification of AKI. Among all these biomarkers, [TIMP-2]·[IGFBP7] was confirmed to be superior in early detection of AKI, before the decrease of renal function is evident. In 2014, the US Food and Drug Administration permitted marketing of NephroCheck® (Astute Medical) (measuring urinary [TIMP-2]·[IGFBP7]) to determine if certain critically-ill patients are at risk of developing moderate to severe AKI. It has since been applied to clinical work in many hospitals of the United States and Europe to improve the diagnostic accuracy and outcomes of AKI patients. Now, more and more research is devoted to the evaluation of its application value, meaning and method in different clinical settings. In this review, we summarize the current research status of [TIMP-2]·[IGFBP7] and point out its future directions.

Abstract
Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) is a 30kDa modular secreted protein involved in many physiologic processes, including cell proliferation, adhesion, senescence and angiogenesis. It is expressed in many organs and specific cells. It can interact with insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1), as well as with insulin. By binding to IGF-1, it limits IGF-1 access to IGF- receptor (IGF-R) and consequently neutralizes IGF-1 activity. Moreover, due to its high affinity to insulin, it may interfere with biological response of insulin and, therefore, it may be involved in the development of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. According to research, it could be a good biomarker of heart failure. Its elevated serum concentrations were found in patients with heart failure, both with reduced ejection fraction and preserved ejection fraction. Moreover, IGFBP7 could be useful in predicting the presence of atherosclerotic lesions in coronary vessels, although its concentration does not reflect a degree of coronary artery disease (CAD) advancement and it cannot be used as a marker of acute ischemia. Its concentration is also associated with insulin resistance and the risk of metabolic syndrome. What is more, together with tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2, it is a novel marker of tubular damage and it can be used for an early detection of acute kidney injury (AKI) endangered patients, which could allow for subsequent adjustments in medical therapy and the prevention of AKI. IGFBP7 is also regarded as a potential tumor suppressor in various cancers. Its low expression is potentially correlated with increased cancer cell proliferation.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Septic acute kidney injury (AKI) is the most common complication of septic shock and increases mortality. A large body of experimental data suggests alterations in renal perfusion occur, but this is yet to be fully assessed in humans. The aim of the current study is to observe the macro and microcirculations in both the systemic and renal circulations in a cohort of patients with early septic shock. METHODS AND ANALYSIS Single-centre, prospective, longitudinal, observational study of 50 patients with septic shock. Renal microcirculatory assessment will be performed with contrast-enhanced ultrasound, the sublingual microcirculation assessed with incident dark field microscopy and transthoracic echocardiography used to assess global flow. Patients will be enrolled as soon as possible after admission to the intensive care unit and then at +24,+48 and +96 hours. Blood samples of circulatory and renal biomarkers will be collected. Sample groups will be defined by the presence or absence of AKI and then subclassified by the severity (Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) criteria), variables will be compared within and between groups over time. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION Research Ethics Committee (REC) approval has been granted for this study by Yorkshire and the Humber, Leeds West Research Ethics Committee (18/YH/0371) and due to the nature of the patients enrolled with septic shock, capacity for informed consent is likely to be lacking. Therefore, a personal consultee (friend or relative) will be consulted or a nominated consultee (clinician) in their absence. After capacity is regained, consent will then be sought from the patient in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act, UK (2005). This consent process has been approved following REC review. Results will be published in a relevant peer-reviewed journal and presented at academic meetings.

Abstract
Cardiac surgery-associated acute kidney injury (CSA-AKI) is a major and serious complication in patients undergoing cardiac surgery and is independently associated with perioperative mortality and mortality. Therapeutic intervention aiming at reversing kidney dysfunction seems disappointing across multiple settings. Consequently, attention has shifted from treatment to prevention and early detection. The Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) guidelines have unified diagnostic standards mainly based on the serum creatinine (Scr) level or urine output, but neither marker is kidney specific. Efforts have been made to identify novel biomarkers with high sensitivity and specificity. The diagnostic capabilities of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) and G1 cell cycle arrest biomarker as biomarkers have been confirmed in a large number of clinical trials. The utility of biomarkers of cardiac function and inflammation has been validated in clinical studies. Aiming to offer valuable information for further research, we summarize the progress in defining current markers relevant to CSA-AKI in the last three years.

Abstract
Background The first FDA-approved test to assess risk for acute kidney injury (AKI), [TIMP-2]•[IGFBP7], is clinically available in many parts of the world, including the USA and Europe. We sought to understand how the test is currently being used clinically. Methods We invited a group of experts knowledgeable on the utility of this test for kidney injury to a panel discussion regarding the appropriate use of the test. Specifically, we wanted to identify which patients would be appropriate for testing, how the results are interpreted, and what actions would be taken based on the results of the test. We used a modified Delphi method to prioritize specific populations for testing and actions based on biomarker test results. No attempt was made to evaluate the evidence in support of various actions however. Results Our results indicate that clinical experts have developed similar practice patterns for use of the [TIMP-2]•[IGFBP7] test in Europe and North America. Patients undergoing major surgery (both cardiac and non-cardiac), those who were hemodynamically unstable, or those with sepsis appear to be priority patient populations for testing kidney stress. It was agreed that, in patients who tested positive, management of potentially nephrotoxic drugs and fluids would be a priority. Patients who tested negative may be candidates for “fast-track” protocols. Conclusion In the experience of our expert panel, biomarker testing has been a priority after major surgery, hemodynamic instability, or sepsis. Our panel members reported that a positive test prompts management of nephrotoxic drugs as well as fluids, while patients with negative results are considered to be excellent candidates for “fast-track” protocols. Abstract
BACKGROUND Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2) and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) are recently identified urinary biomarkers of acute kidney injury (AKI) in critically ill patients. Because their predictive accuracies vary widely, a meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the accuracy of previously reported urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 cut-offs for predicting AKI. METHODS This meta-analysis was reported following the guideline of PRISMA. Four databases, PubMed, the Cochrane Library, the ISI Web of Knowledge, and Embase, were systematically searched from inception to June 2018 by 2 investigators, who independently selected studies, extracted relevant data, and evaluated study quality. A bivariate model was used to calculate the pooled estimates. RESULTS The search identified 5 studies with 1619 critically ill patients. Urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 cut-off points of 0.3 (ng/ml)/1000 had a sensitivity of 0.89 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.85-0.93], a specificity of 0.48 (95% CI 0.45-0.51) and a diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) of 8.33 (95% CI 5.55-12.52). The area under the curve (AUC) estimated by the summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve was 0.748. Based on 891 critically ill patients from 4 studies, urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 cut-off points of 2.0 (ng/ml)/1000 had a sensitivity of 0.45 (95% CI 0.37-0.53), a specificity of 0.93 (95% CI 0.91-0.95) and a DOR of 11.43 (95% CI 7.43-17.57). The AUC estimated by SROC was 0.844. CONCLUSION Cut-off values around 0.3 (ng/ml)/1000 (high sensitivity) and 2.0 (ng/ml)/1000 (high specificity) could be accurate surrogate biomarkers predicting AKI in critically ill patients. The urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 cut-off point of 2.0 (ng/mL)/1000 appears to have the highest overall accuracy. Abstract
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a frequent complication in hospitalised patients and is diagnosed by urinary output and serum creatinine. Serum creatinine is an indirect marker for renal glomerular filtration, but lacks specificity for damage to kidney tissue and the relatively late response to injury precludes early recognition of AKI. Timely diagnosis of kidney injury using biomarkers that provide information about the aetiology of kidney injury is an unmet clinical need. To overcome the suboptimal performance of serum creatinine, injury biomarkers have been proposed that predict AKI in diverse clinical settings. The clinical performance of these markers is considered moderate due to the lack of specificity for kidney tissue or the underlying injury mechanisms, poor test specificity and confounding by interventions or comorbidities. Hence, it is not unequivocally beneficial to implement current kidney injury biomarkers in the clinical laboratory for diagnostic purposes. In this article we review biomarkers that might fulfil AKI-related unmet clinical needs in the academic hospital setting.

Abstract
Background: Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 2 (TIMP-2) and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) are recent promising markers for identification of cardiac surgery-associated acute kidney injury (CSA-AKI). The aim of this study was systematically and quantitatively to evaluate the accuracy of urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 for the diagnosis of CSA-AKI. Methods: Three databases including PubMed, ISI web of knowledge, and Embase were systematically searched from inception to March 2018. Two investigators conducted the processes of literature search study selection, data extraction, and quality evaluation independently. Meta-DiSc and STATA were used for all statistical analyses. Results: A total of 8 studies comprising 552 patients were included in this meta-analysis. Pooled sensitivity and specificity with corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were 0.79 (95% CI, 0.71-0.86, I 2 = 74.2%) and 0.76 (95% CI, 0.72-0.80, I 2 = 80.8%), respectively. Pooled positive likelihood ratio (LR), negative LR, and diagnostic odds ratio were 3.49 (95% CI, 2.44-5.00, I 2 = 61.5%), 0.31(95% CI, 0.19-0.51, I 2 = 51.8%), and 14.89 (95% CI, 7.31-30.32, I 2 = 27.9%), respectively. The area under curve estimated by summary receiver operating characteristic was 0.868 (standard error [SE] 0.032) with a Q* value of 0.799 (SE 0.032). Sensitivity analysis demonstrated that one study notably affected the stability of pooled results. One of the subgroups investigated—AKI threshold—could account for partial heterogeneity. Conclusion: Urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 is a helpful biomarker for early diagnosis of CSA-AKI. And, the potential of this biomarker with a broader spectrum of clinical settings may be the focus of future studies.
