Abstract
Chimeric antigen receptor-natural killer (CAR-NK) cells represent a breakthrough in cancer immunotherapy, making this a highly popular research area. However, comprehensive analyses of this field using bibliometric methods are rare. To our knowledge, this study has collected highest number of publications (1,259) on CAR-NK therapy from January 1, 2004, to December 31, 2023, and utilized CiteSpace and VOSviewer to analyze regions, institutions, journals, authors, and keywords to forecast the latest trends in CAR-NK therapy research. The United States and China, contributing over 60% of publications, are the primary drivers in this field. The Helmholtz Association and Harvard University are the most active institutions, with most publications appearing in Frontiers in Immunology. Winfried S. Wels is the most prolific author, while EL Liu is the most frequently co-cited author. "Immunotherapy," "T-cells," and "Cancer" are the most extensively covered topics in CAR-NK therapy research. Our study reveals current CAR-NK research trends, identifies potential research hotspots, and visualizes references through bibliometric methods, providing valuable guidance for future research in this field.

Abstract
Background Radiotherapy, a primary treatment for malignant cancer, presents significant clinical challenges globally due to its associated adverse effects, especially with the increased survival rates of cancer patients. Radiation induced heart disease (RIHD) significantly impacts the long-term survival and quality of life of cancer survivors as one of the most devastating consequences. Quite a few studies have been conducted on preclinical and clinical trials of RIHD, showing promising success to some extent. However, no researchers have performed a comprehensive bibliometric study so far. Objective This study attempts to gain a deeper understanding of the focal points and patterns in RIHD research and to pinpoint prospective new research avenues using bibliometrics. Methods The study group obtained related 1554 publications between 1990 and 2023 on the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) through a scientific search query. Visualization tools like CiteSpace and VOSviewer were utilized to realize the visual analysis of countries, authors, journals, references and keywords, identifying the hotspots and frontiers in this research field. Results After collecting all the data, a total of 1554 documents were categorized and analyzed using the above tools. The annual number of publications in the field of RIHD shows a continuous growth trend. In 2013, there was a significant rise in the number of linked publications, with the majority of authors being from the USA, according to the statistics. Among all the journals, INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF RADIATION ONCOLOGY BIOLOGY PHYSICS published the most relevant papers. Cluster analysis of the references showed that research on RIHD has focused on breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and Hodgkin's lymphoma (also among the three main clusters), preclinical research, childhood cancer, heart dose, coronary artery disease, etc, which are also hot topics in the field. High-frequency keywords in the analysis include risk factors, cancer types, heart disease, survival, trials, proton therapy (PT), etc. Conclusion Future research on RIHD will mostly focus on thoracic cancer, whose exact cause is yet unknown, with preclinical trials playing an important role. Preventing, consistently monitoring, promptly diagnosing, and timely treating are crucial to decreasing RIHD and extending the life expectancy of cancer survivors.

Abstract
Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is the most common joint disease worldwide and, with the progression of an aging population, is one of the most important causes of disability worldwide. Its main symptoms include articular cartilage damage, periarticular pain, swelling, and stiffness. Intra-articular (IA) injections offer many advantages over systemic administration and surgical treatment, including direct action on the target joint to improve local bioavailability, reduce systemic toxicity, and lower costs. This study analyzed KOA intra-articular injection treatment and its hot literature and research horizons using bibliometric methodologies and graphical tools to aid future research. We performed a bibliometric analysis of 2360 publications in the Web of Science core collection using CiteSpace software. The United States (28.26% of publications) and China (18%) had the biggest publications. Rush University was the most active institution, but Boston University had the greatest citation/publication rate (65.77), suggesting a high literature standard. The majority of publications were in Osteoarthritis and cartilage. Bannuru RR was the most referenced author, while Filardo, Giuseppe was the most productive author. Studies in platelet-rich plasma (PRP), mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and microsphere formulation are likely to be future research hotspots. The current scientometric study provides an overview of KOA intra-articular injection therapy studies from 2012 to 2022. This study outlines the current research hotspots and potential future research hotspots in the field of intra-articular injection treatment for KOA and may serve as a resource for researchers interested in this topic.

Abstract
IntroductionBrain metastasis is the terminal event of breast cancer with poor prognoses. Therefore, this article aimed to provide an updated summary on the development, hotspots, and research trends of brain metastasis from breast cancer based on bibliometric analysis.MethodPublications on breast cancer with brain metastasis retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and other online bibliometric analysis platforms were used to analyze and visualize the result.ResultIn totality, 693 researchers from 3,623 institutions across 74 counties and regions published a total of 2,790 papers in 607 journals. There was a noticeable increase in publications in 2006. The United States was the dominant country with the most publications followed by China. University Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center was the most productive institution, while Dana Farber Cancer Institution was the most cited. Journal of Neuro-Oncology published the most papers, while Journal of Clinical Oncology ranked first based on cocited analysis. Nancy U. Lin was the most productive and cited author with high influence. There was a focus on basic research, clinical trials, local therapy, treatment optimization, and epidemiological studies regarding brain metastases from breast cancer. References focused on pathogenesis, prevention, treatment, and prognosis were cited most frequently, among which the clinical trial of novel treatment attracted most attention from researchers. Reference citation burst detection suggested that new therapies such as the novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor and antibody–drug conjugate may lead the research trends in the future.ConclusionHigh-income countries contributed more to the field of breast cancer with brain metastasis, while developing countries like China developed quickly. Furthermore, the success of novel therapies in recent years may lead to the new era of treatment of breast cancer with brain metastasis in the future.

Abstract
This article aims to provide an overview of research hotspots and trends in exercise and the gut microbiome, a field which has recently gained increasing attention. The relevant publications on exercise and the gut microbiome were identified from the Web of Science Core Collection database. The publication types were limited to articles and reviews. VOSviewer 1.6.18 (Centre for Science and Technology Studies, Leiden University, Leiden, the Netherlands) and the R package "bibliometrix" (R Foundation: Vienna, Austria) were used to conduct a bibliometric analysis. A total of 327 eligible publications were eventually identified, including 245 original articles and 82 reviews. A time trend analysis showed that the number of publications rapidly increased after 2014. The leading countries/regions in this field were the USA, China, and Europe. Most of the active institutions were from Europe and the USA. Keyword analysis showed that the relationship between disease, the gut microbiome, and exercise occurs throughout the development of this field of research. The interactions between the gut microbiota, exercise, status of the host's internal environment, and probiotics, are important facets as well. The research topic evolution presents a trend of multidisciplinary and multi-perspective comprehensive analysis. Exercise might become an effective intervention for disease treatment by regulating the gut microbiome. The innovation of exercise-centered lifestyle intervention therapy may become a significant trend in the future.

Abstract
Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) has shown great promise in treating various advanced malignancies including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, only limited number of patients could benefit from it due to the low immune response rate caused by insufficient matured dendritic cells (DCs) and inadequate tumor infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). Here, we report a combination therapeutic strategy which integrates STING pathway activation, hypoxia relief and sonodynamic therapy (SDT) with anti-PD-L1 therapy to improve the therapeutic outcome. The synthesized nanodroplet consisted of a O2-filled Perfluorohexane (PFH) core and a lipid membrane carrying sonosensitizer IR-780 and STING agonist Vadimezan (DMXAAs). It released O2 inside the hypoxic tumor tissue, thereby enhancing SDT which relied on O2 to generate cytotoxic reactive oxygen species (ROS). The co-delivered STING agonist DMXAAs promoted the maturation and tumor antigen cross-presenting of DCs for priming of CTLs. Moreover, SDT induced immunogenic cell death (ICD) of tumor to release abundant tumor-associated antigens, which increased tumor immunogenicity to promote tumor infiltration of CTLs. Consequently, not only a robust adaptive immune response was elicited but also the immunologically "cold" TNBC was turned "hot" to enable a potent anti-PD-L1 therapy. The nanodroplet demonstrated strong efficacy to systemically suppress TNBC growth and mimic distant tumor in vivo. STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: Only a limited number of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients can benefit from immune checkpoint blockade therapy due to its low immune response rate caused by insufficient matured DCs and inadequate tumor infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). Interestingly, compelling evidence has shown that sonodynamic therapy (SDT) not only directly kills cancer cells but also elicits immunogenic cell death (ICD), which promotes tumor infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes to transform an immunosuppressive "cold" tumor into a "hot" one. However, the hypoxic tumor microenvironment severely restricts the therapeutic efficiency of SDT, wherein, oxygen is indispensable in the process of ROS generation. Here, we report an O2-filled nanodroplet-enhanced sonodynamic therapy that significantly potentiated immune checkpoint blockade for systemic suppression of TNBC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to identify author, country, institutional, and journal collaborations and their impacts, assess the knowledge base, identify existing trends, and uncover emerging topics related to the role of Metalloproteinase in osteosarcoma. METHODS 945 Articles and reviews associated with the role of Metalloproteinase in osteosarcoma were obtained from the WoSCC and analyzed by Citespace and Vosviewer. RESULTS The main aspects of research on the role of MMP in OS are invasion and metastasis. The latest hotspots were found to be the mechanism of MMP promoting invasion and metastasis, lung metastasis, and antitumor activity. Notably, invasion, metastasis, and antitumor activity were potentially turning points in the MMP-OS field. In the future, the primary research hotspot in the field of MMP-OS may be to study the mechanism, explore their role in the OS lung metastasis, and determine their role in the cancer therapy process. CONCLUSION This study thus offers a comprehensive overview of the MMP-OS-related field using bibliometrics and visual methods, which will provide a valuable reference for researchers interested in the field of MMP-OS.

Abstract
A growing body of research has illuminated that photodynamic therapy (PDT) serves as an important therapeutic strategy in oncology and has become a hot topic in recent years. Although numerous papers related to cancer PDT (CPDT) have been published, no bibliometric studies have been conducted to summarize the research landscape, and highlight the research trends and hotspots in this field. This study collected 5,804 records on CPDT published between 2000 and 2021 from Web of Science Core Collection. Bibliometric analysis and visualization were conducted using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and one online platform. The annual publication and citation results revealed significant increasing trends over the past 22 years. China and the United States, contributing 56.24% of the total publications, were the main driving force in this field. Chinese Academy of Sciences was the most prolific institution. Photodiagnosis and Photodynamic Therapy and Photochemistry and Photobiology were the most productive and most co-cited journals, respectively. All keywords were categorized into four clusters including studies on nanomaterial technology, clinical applications, mechanism, and photosensitizers. “nanotech-based PDT” and “enhanced PDT” were current research hotspots. Abstract
An increasing number of studies have shown that immunotherapy serves a significant role in treating colorectal cancer (CRC) and has become a hotspot. However, few studies used the bibliometric method to analyze this field comprehensively. This study collected 1,899 records of CRC immunotherapy from 2012 to October 31, 2021, and used CiteSpace to analyze regions, institutions, journals, authors, and keywords to predict the latest trends in CRC immunotherapy research. The United States and China, contributing more than 60% of publications, were the main drivers in this field. Sun Yat-sen University was the most active institution, while the National Cancer Institute had the highest frequency of citations. Most publications were published in the Journal for Immunotherapy of Cancer. Adam E Snook was the most prolific writer, while Dung T. Le was the most commonly co-cited author. “T cell”, “MMI” and “PD-1blocked” were the most widely studied aspects of CRC immunotherapy. “Immune checkpoint inhibitor”, “combination therapy”, “drug therapy” and “liver metastases” were current research hotspots. “Tumor microenvironment”, “neutrophils”, “tumor-associated macrophages”, and “suppressor cell” have emerged as research hotspots in recent years. “Gut microbiota”, “nanoparticle” and “tumor mutational burden” as recently emerged frontiers of research that should be closely monitored.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the most frequent cause of death from cancer in 12 regions of the world. Among the breast cancer subtypes, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive, leading to an adverse prognosis. Thus, we aimed to identify the top 100 most cited articles regarding TNBC through bibliometric analyses, to explore their current impact and publication status. We searched TNBC-related articles from the Web of Science core database on September 19, 2021, and ranked them by citation in descending order. Information extracted from the top 100 most cited articles, included title, author, institution, country, year, publication, Journal Cited Rank, citation, Web of Science category, were extracted by two researchers independently. VOSviewer was used to analyze data, such as co-authoring institutions, and author cooperation. Descriptive statistical analysis of data was performed using Excel. Citations from the top 100 most cited articles ranged from 225 to 2753, and all were published after 2007. The top 100 most cited articles were published in 38 journals, with the Journal of Clinical Oncology published the most (n = 15), followed by Clinical Cancer Research (n = 11), Lancet Oncology(n = 6). Eric P. Winer from USA, who participated 12 articles, was the most frequently published author. The USA (n = 71) was the country with the most contributions to TNBC. The most prevalent topics included: clinical features, molecular subtypes, relevant influencing factors, exploration of treatment options and prognosis of TNBC. The leading institution was the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (n = 20) from the USA. This is the first bibliometric analysis on the TNBC 100 most cited article. We provided insights into the most cited articles on TNBC and listed a detailed description of their characteristics and trend, which provides ideas for further study.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Kidney transplantation (KT) has become common in the treatment of end-stage renal disease. However, to date, there have been no bibliometric analyses of KT research to identify the most influential articles. The purpose of this research is to identify and characterize the 100 most cited articles that focus on KT and to clarify the trends in the accomplishments in this field. METHODS We searched the Thomson Reuters Web of Science citation indexing database and used keyword mapping of VOSviewer. The top 100 most cited manuscripts were analyzed based on their titles, authors, institutions, countries of origin, years of publication, and topics. RESULTS The New England Journal of Medicine has published the most manuscripts on kidney transplantation (n = 26) and is the most cited journal (n = 15,642). The United States has the highest number of publications (n = 61). Kashika is the corresponding author with the most published papers (n = 5; 2892 citations). The most common topics of publication are immunosuppressant (n = 34), clinical outcome (n = 26), and pathology (n = 22). Keywords related to immunosuppressant are the most common in keyword mapping with VOSviewer. CONCLUSIONS This bibliometric analysis of KT research provides the research characteristics and publication trends of this topic. In KT research, immunosuppressants and post-transplant clinical outcomes have been important topics.

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the distribution laws and research frontiers of international literature, so as to present a holistic bibliometric evaluation of the studies on breast cancer liver metastasis(BCLM). Data were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection database, including publications, year, country, journal, author and keywords. The software VOSviewer and CiteSpace were used for bibliometric coupling, co-authorship, co-citation and co-occurrence analysis. In total, 1,031 publications were analyzed from 2004 to 2020 on BCLM. The year with the highest number of publications was 2006, with 103 papers. The United States, followed by China and Germany were the leading countries on BCLM, accounting for 59% of the whole. The journals that published about BCLM were mainly located in Q1/Q2. Keywords co-occurrence analysis divides BCLM into five clusters:'basic research', 'auxiliary diagnosis and therapy', 'liver resection', 'clinical trial' and 'prognosis'. Main treatment therapies were the latest focus. Burst detection indicated that the trends in BCLM concentrated on subtype and SEER. There is apparently brighter perspective for BCLM research in the coming years, especially in liver resection, subtype and bioinformatics. The consequence of our study as the exclusive scientific evaluation offered an integral overview of BCLM, particularly for research focus and future directions, which can further accurately guide scholars on diagnosis, treatment, and personalized prevention.

Abstract
Background: The mission of medicines regulatory agencies is to ensure the timely access of innovative products for patients to improve public health. Thus, regulators should foresee evolving technologies and build expertise prior to reviewing innovative products. Novel modalities and new classes of therapeutics in biological or cell-based products represent a regulatory challenge because of knowledge gaps, as exemplified by the unexpected cytokine release syndrome in the first-in-human clinical trial of the CD28 super-agonist. Meanwhile, recent treatments harnessing T cell co-signaling pathways provide an opportunity for investigation. Therefore, this study aimed to systematically identify and evaluate novel modalities for T cell immunity to assess the need for regulatory guidance. Methods: A PubMed search was carried out using the query, "immun* AND t lymph*" to select publications. Subsequently, a citation network was created, followed by clustering and text mining to identify the modalities and classes of therapeutics under development. Results and Discussion: Analysis of the top 20 clusters revealed research domains characterized by keywords such as immune checkpoint antibody, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cells, microbiota, exosome, regulatory T cells, unconventional T cells, and vaccines. After reviewing the pharmacological concepts, clinical trial information, and available guidance, we presented a perspective on the future development of guidance for these domains. Conclusion: Bibliometric analyses identified a set of innovative modalities targeted for drug development with which regulatory guidance is going to catch up. This strategy could help in the successful development of upcoming modalities to ensure readiness for clinical application as part of horizon scanning.

Abstract
The programmed death receptor 1 (PD1) and its ligand programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PDL1) are the most widely used immune checkpoints in cancer immunotherapy. The related literature shows the explosive growth trends due to the promising outcomes of tumor regression. The present study aimed to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the literature on anti-PD1/PDL1 from three perspectives including molecular mechanisms, randomized clinical trials (RCT), and meta-analysis, thus producing a knowledge map reflecting the status of the research, its historical evolution, and developmental trends in related research from 2000 to 2020. We included 11,971, 191, and 335 documents from the Web of Science Core Collection database, respectively, and adopted various bibliometric methods and techniques thereto. The study revealed the major research themes and emergent hotspots based on literature and citation data and outlined the top contributors in terms of journals and countries. The co-occurrence overlay of keywords and terms pertaining to the PD1/PDL1 molecule reflected the progress from the discovery of the PD1/PDL1 molecule to the clinical application of anti-PD1/PDL1. Immune-related adverse events (irAEs) formed a unique cluster in the term co-occurrence analysis of meta-analysis. The historical direct citation network of RCT indicated the development and transformation of cancers and therapy strategies. irAEs and the strategies of combination therapy might become a future focus of research in this cognate area. In summary, the bibliometric study provides a general overview of the landscape on anti-PD1/PDL1 research, allowing researchers to identify the potential opportunities and challenges therein.

Abstract
Purpose Immunologically quiescent of breast cancer cells has been recognized as the key impediment for the breast cancer immunotherapy. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of nanoparticle-mediated sonodynamic therapy (SDT) in promoting anti-tumor immune of breast cancer cells and its potential immune mechanisms. Materials and Methods The phase-transformation nanoparticles (LIP-PFH nanoparticles) were in-house prepared and its physiochemical characters were detected. The CCK-8 assay, apoptosis analysis and Balb/c tumor model establishment were used to explore the anti-tumor effect of LIP-PFH nanoparticles triggered by low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) both in vitro and in vivo. Flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry of CD4+T, CD8+T, CD8+PD-1+T in blood, spleen and tumor tissue were performed to represent the change of immune response. Detection of immunogenic cell death (ICD) markers was examined to study the potential mechanisms. Results LIP-PFH nanoparticles triggered by LIFU could inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of 4T1 cells both in vitro and in vivo. CD4+T and CD8+T cell subsets were significantly increased in blood, spleen and tumor tissue, meanwhile CD8+PD-1+T cells were reduced, indicating enhancement of anti-tumor immune response of breast cancer cells in the nanoparticle-mediated SDT group. Detection of ICD markers (ATP, high-mobility group box B1, and calreticulin) and flow cytometric analysis of dendritic cell (DC) maturity further showed that the nanoparticle-mediated SDT can promote DC maturation to increase the proportion of cytotoxic T cells by inducing ICD of breast cancer cells. Conclusion The therapy of nanoparticles-mediated SDT can effectively enhance anti-tumor immune response of breast cancer.
