Abstract
This study is devoted to exploring how athletes' sports attitude affects their mental health, and explores this complex relationship through descriptive statistics, longitudinal analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The research sample includes athlete data at multiple time points, covering mental health indicators such as positive attitude, negative attitude, anxiety, depression and self-esteem. Descriptive statistical results reveal the overall trend of athletes in positive attitude, anxiety, depression and self-esteem. On average, athletes show a positive attitude towards sports, but there are some variability in mental health indicators. The results of longitudinal analysis show that with the progress of the season, the positive attitude shows an upward trend, while the level of anxiety and depression shows a downward trend in some cases, which provides a detailed observation for the long-term evolution of athletes' psychological state. Correlation analysis reveals the positive correlation between positive attitude and self-esteem, positive correlation between negative attitude and anxiety, and negative correlation between teamwork attitude and depression. Regression analysis further verified the influence of positive attitude and negative attitude on anxiety. The results emphasize that the improvement of positive attitude may help to slow down the increase of anxiety level, while the increase of negative attitude may be related to the increase of anxiety. Generally speaking, the findings of this study highlight the complex relationship between athletes' mental health and their attitude towards sports. This study provides profound insights for formulating targeted psychological support strategies and emphasizes the importance of comprehensively considering multi-dimensional factors in athletes' mental health management.

Abstract
The aim of the current study was to retrospectively investigate the prevalence of peri-implant mucositis (PIM) and peri-implantitis (P) in a long-term follow-up (≥20 years) of implants with the same body design and body surface but different collar surfaces with laser-microtextured grooves (LMGSs) vs. no laser-microtextured grooves (no-LMGSs) in private practice patients. Furthermore, several patient-related, implant-related, site-, surgical-, and prosthesis-related potential disease risk factors were analyzed. A chart review of patients receiving at least one pair of implants (one with an LMGS and the other without LMGS) in the period 1993-2002 was used. Chi-square analysis was used to determine if a statistically significant difference between the investigated variables and PIM/P was present. Possible risk factors were statistically evaluated by a binary logistic regression analysis. A total of 362 patients with 901 implant-supported restorations (438 with LMGS and 463 no-LMGS) were included in the study. The cumulative survival rates of implants at 5, 10, 15, and 20 years were 98.1%, 97.4%, 95.4%, and 89.8%, respectively, for the LMGS group, and 93.2%, 91.6%, 89.5%, and 78.3% for the no-LMGS group. The difference was statistically significant at all timepoints (p < 0.05). In total, at the end of the follow-up period, 45.7% of patients and 39.8% of implants presented PIM, and 15.6% of patients and 14% of implants presented P. A total of 164 LMGS implants (37.4%) and 195 no-LMGS implants (42.1%) presented peri-implant mucositis, while 28 (6.3%) of LMGS implants and 98 (21.1%) no-LMGS implants demonstrated peri-implantitis. Differences between LMGS implants and no-LMGS implants were statistically significant (p < 0.05). The binary logistic regression identified collar surface, cigarette smoking, histories of treated periodontitis, and lack of peri-implant maintenance as risk factors for P. After at least 20 years of function in patients followed privately, LMGS implants compared to no-LMGS implants presented a statistically and significantly lower incidence of P. Implant collar surface, cigarette smoking, previously treated periodontitis, and lack of peri-implant maintenance are factors with significant association to P.

Abstract
Peri-implantitis is a plaque-associated pathologic condition occurring in tissues around dental implants, clinically characterized by increased peri-implant probing pocket depth and progressive loss of supporting bone. Consequently, to arrest further disease progression and to increase the chance to obtain re-osseointegration, surgical reconstructive procedures have been adopted. In particular, following a paradigm gathered from periodontal therapy, recent protocols have underlined the importance of a minimally invasive approach to optimize the outcomes of therapy while minimizing the risks of postoperative complications. The present review summarizes the level of evidence on the surgical reconstructive protocols focusing on the new approaches aiming to minimize surgical trauma and patients' postoperative discomfort, underlining the pros and cons of each treatment modality.

Abstract
The stability of peri-implant soft tissues is essential for long-term success. Integrins play a vital role in biological processes through developing and maintaining cell interactions; however, few studies have evaluated the effects of modifications to abutment surfaces on cell adhesion across integrin expression. Therefore, this pilot study assessed the influence of different surface topographies of titanium healing abutments prepared by additive manufacturing (AM) on the gene expression levels of the integrin subunits α2, β1, αv, and β6 in the human peri-implant mucosa. Thirteen healthy adults were included. Depending on the number of required implants, the subjects were distributed in different groups as a function of healing abutment topography: group 1 (fully rough surface); group 2 (upper machined + lower rough); group 3 (rough upper surface + lower machined); group 4 (fully machined). A total of 40 samples (n = 10/group) of the peri-implant mucosa around the abutments were collected 30 days after implant placement, and subsequently, the gene expression levels were evaluated using real-time PCR. The levels of gene expression of β1-subunit integrin were upregulated for individuals receiving fully rough surface abutments compared with the other surface topographies (p < 0.05). However, the healing abutment topography did not affect the gene expression levels of the α2, αv, and β6 integrin subunits in the human peri-implant mucosa (p > 0.05). This preliminary study suggested that controlled modifications of the surface topography of titanium healing abutments produced by AM may influence the quality of the peri-implant mucosa in the early stages of the soft tissue healing process.
