Abstract
Metastases to the kidney are rare and were historically described in autopsy series, and the incidence ranged between 2.36% and 12.6%. However, in the contemporary literature with the improvements in imaging modalities (computed tomography scan and magnetic resonance imaging) and other health care screening services, metastatic tumors to the kidney are being diagnosed more frequently in surgical specimens. The utility of needle core biopsies in the primary evaluation of renal masses has also increased the number of sampled metastases, and as a result, only limited histologic material is available for evaluation in some cases and may potentially lead to diagnostic pitfalls. In the last decade, a few large clinical series have been published. In these series, the majority of metastatic tumors to the kidney are carcinomas, with the lung being the most common primary site. A significant number of the various tumor types with metastasis to the kidney are also associated with widespread metastases to other organs, and the renal metastasis may present several years after diagnosis of the primary tumor. The majority of secondary tumors of the kidney are asymptomatic, incidentally discovered, and solitary. There should be a high index of suspicion of metastasis to the kidney in patients with an associated enlarging renal lesion with minimal to no enhancement on imaging and tumor progression of a known high-grade nonrenal malignancy. Secondary tumors of the kidney can be accurately diagnosed by correlating histopathologic features with clinical and radiographic findings and the judicious use of ancillary studies.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Adenoid cystic carcinomas (ACCs) account for 10% of all malignant salivary tumours. They are slow-growing but locally aggressive. Reports of liver and renal metastases are rare. CASE DESCRIPTION A 58-year-old woman who had undergone resection of a left submandibular ACC in 1995 was referred to our centre for follow-up in 2018. A computed tomography scan revealed two lesions: one on segment six of the liver and the other on a kidney. A hepatic wedge resection and right nephrectomy were performed. The postoperative course was uneventful. At 2-year follow-up, the patient was alive and well with no evidence of disease. CONCLUSION Management of ACC is a therapeutic challenge because of its tendency for distant metastases. The literature recommends regular follow-up imaging and radical surgical treatment but specific guidelines for the approach to recurrence are lacking.

Abstract
Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a malignancy affecting the salivary glands and rarely involving the lung. Due to its rarity, primary lung ACC remains incompletely understood. We herein report the case of a 57-year-old female patient who was initially diagnosed with primary lung ACC and was treated by lobectomy. Seven years later, an abdominal computed tomography scan performed in the context of surveillance revealed the presence of a solid lesion arising from the lower pole of the left kidney. The patient underwent left partial nephrectomy, and histopathology confirmed a completely excised metastatic ACC.

Abstract
Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignant tumor, usually arising from salivary glands and rarely found in other locations. ACC is characterized by asymptomatic course, slow growth pattern, perineural invasion and high incidence of late metastasis. Renal localization of metastasis is rare. Only 12 cases of renal metastasis were published and, to our best knowledge, no case of bilateral metastasis to the kidney has ever been reported. We present a case of a 58 years old woman with bilateral renal metastasis from ACC of the right lung after fourteen years from lobectomy and radiotherapy for the primary presentation. The patient underwent bilateral robot-assisted partial nephrectomy in a two-stage approach. Despite its rare incidence and slow growth, ACC metastasis may simulate primary papillary renal carcinoma and occur many years after primary treatment. Therefore, lifelong follow-up, including abdominal imaging, is recommended.

Abstract
Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lacrimal gland is one among the common malignancies affecting the lacrimal gland. However, overall, it is a rare condition. It has a rather poor prognosis with local recurrence and distant haematological metastasis which are invariably multiple. We present a rare case of a 51-year-old woman who presented with localised lower thoracic pain with collapse of the T10 vertebral body, which turned out be a solitary late metastasis from her previously treated lacrimal gland tumour.

Abstract
A 64-year-old man presented with a 3-month history of recurrent conjunctivitis. He was evaluated by an ophthalmologist and submitted to a CT scan that revealed an intraconic mass with invasion of the lateral orbital wall. He was operated, the mass was completely removed (with preservation of the intraorbital structures) and the lateral orbital wall rebuilt. The histopathological analysis revealed an adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lacrimal gland. 4 months later a painful recurrence of the lesion was diagnosed with invasion of the orbital roof and eyelids. After a multidisciplinary discussion and request from the patient, an exenteration of the orbit and removal of the lateral and superior orbital wall and dura mater was performed with the objective of a total resection. The wound and orbit were closed with a vertical rectus abdominis myocutaneous free flap to ensure closure.
