Abstract
We describe a rare case of Mondor disease of the superficial scrotal veins, which can clinically mimic acute testicular pathologies such as testicular torsion or epididymo-orchitis, and highlight the value of grayscale/Doppler ultrasound examination in distinguishing these entities, which have different management implications.

Abstract
Spontaneous thrombosis of the pampiniform venous plexus is a rare phenomenon, with limited cases reported in the literature. Accurate diagnosis necessitates a high index of suspicion, and scrotal Doppler ultrasound proves to be an effective diagnostic tool. This case report aims to elucidate the diagnostic intricacies of spontaneous thrombosis of the left pampiniform venous plexus, emphasizing the pivotal role of scrotal Doppler ultrasound. Additionally, we explore successful treatment modalities, including anticoagulation and bed rest, leading to complete resolution. This contribution aims to enhance clinical understanding, particularly in outpatient and emergency care settings, where accurate and timely diagnosis is imperative.

Abstract
Introduction The authors in this paper discuss a rare disease entity that can cause testicular pain and mimic varicocele. Material and methods Citing data from a review of the world literature, spermatic cord thrombosis is most often misdiagnosed as an incarcerated inguinal hernia. Patients usually complain of pain and swelling of the testicle, pain in the inguinal region, and sometimes a palpable mass in the inguinal region. Results Ultrasonography with colour Doppler usually establishes the correct diagnosis. Currently, there are no official recommendations for the treatment of this disease.There are reports of conservative treatment of spermatic cord thrombosis in the world literature. However, it seems that the gold standard of management remains surgical exploration, which allows us to unequivocally establish the correct diagnosis. In cases of co-morbid thrombosis with spermatic cord varicocelectomy is recommended. Conclusions Due to the rarity of this disease, the topic of this article was undertaken. The paper reviews the world literature relating to the diagnosis and treatment of this disease entity. Our own algorithm for the management of spermatic cord thrombosis is proposed.

Abstract
The systemic nature of SARS-CoV-2 infection is highly recognized, but poorly characterized. A non-invasive and unbiased method is needed to clarify whole body spatiotemporal dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 infection after transmission. We recently developed a probe based on the anti-SARS-CoV-2 spike antibody CR3022 to study SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis in vivo. Herein, we describe its use in immunoPET to investigate SARS-CoV-2 infection of three rhesus macaques. Using PET/CT imaging of macaques at different times post-SARS-CoV-2 inoculation, we track the 64Cu-labelled CR3022-F(ab')2 probe targeting the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 to study the dynamics of infection within the respiratory tract and uncover novel sites of infection. Using this method, we uncovered differences in lung pathology between infection with the WA1 isolate and the delta variant, which were readily corroborated through computed tomography scans. The 64Cu-CR3022-probe also demonstrated dynamic changes occurring between 1- and 2-weeks post-infection. Remarkably, a robust signal was seen in the male genital tract (MGT) of all three animals studied. Infection of the MGT was validated by immunofluorescence imaging of infected cells in the testicular and penile tissue and severe pathology was observed in the testes of one animal at 2-weeks post-infection. The results presented here underscore the utility of using immunoPET to study the dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 infection to understand its pathogenicity and discover new anatomical sites of viral replication. We provide direct evidence for SARS-CoV-2 infection of the MGT in rhesus macaques revealing the possible pathologic outcomes of viral replication at these sites.

Abstract
Cases of acute scrotum presenting to the emergency department are usually due to testicular torsion, complicated hernia, or epididymo-orchitis. Thrombosis of the spermatic vein is an uncommon entity and most of the cases reported to date are of unilateral involvement. Here, we present an extremely rare case of spontaneous bilateral spermatic vein thrombosis, which was diagnosed by a Doppler ultrasound of the testes. This article highlights its clinical presentation, radiological imaging, etiology, and management.

Abstract
Because of an increased hypercoagulable state, a significant proportion of COVID-19 patients develop various and extensive venous thromboembolic complications. We report the case of a young patient with a history of pneumopathy related to COVID-19 disease, in whom the diagnosis of thrombosis of a pampiniform plexus vein was made on color doppler ultrasound data. We adopted a conservative treatment with good clinical and radiological evolution. To our knowledge, this is the second association of venous thrombosis of the pampiniform plexus with COVID-19 disease.
