Abstract
ABSTRACT Extranodal Natural killer/T (NK/T) cell lymphoma nasal type is an aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma and has a constant association with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. Approximately more than 75% cases are located in upper aero-digestive tract, of which stomach is a very rare site. Very few cases of gastric extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma have been reported in the literature. A 22-year-old male patient presented with complaints of abdominal pain and hematemesis. Endoscopy showed a large ulcer in the stomach. Partial gastrectomy done and histopathology showed transmural infiltration by intermediate size atypical lymphoid cells which are immunopositive for CD3, CD56, TIA, EBV-encoded RNA (EBER) and negative for CD4, CD8, CD20. A diagnosis of extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma nasal type was made.

Abstract
Controlling nutritional status (CONUT) score as an original nutritional assessment tool can be used to assess the prognosis of patients with a variety of malignancies. However, the predictive power of CONUT in extranodal natural killer/T cell lymphoma (ENKTL) patients has never been demonstrated. Our retrospective multicenter study aimed to explore the prognostic value of CONUT in newly diagnosed ENKTL. A total of 1085 newly diagnosed ENKTL patients between 2003 and 2021 were retrospectively retrieved. Cox proportional hazard model was used to explore the prognostic factors of overall survival (OS). The survival rate of ENKTL was evaluated using Kaplan-Meier analysis, and log-rank test was applied to the difference between groups. We investigated the prognostic performance of CONUT, the International Prognostic Index (IPI), the Korean Prognostic Index (KPI), and the Prognostic Index of Natural Killer Cell Lymphoma (PINK) using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and decision curve analysis (DCA). The median age at diagnosis for the whole cohort was 47 years, and the male to female ratio was 2.2:1. The 5-year OS for all patients was 72.2%. Multivariable analysis showed that CONUT, age, bone marrow involvement, ECOG PS score, and Chinese Southwest Oncology Group and Asia Lymphoma Study Group ENKTL stage were identified as independent predictive factors for OS. Based on multivariable results, a prognostic nomogram was developed. Subgroup analysis demonstrated that patients with severe malnutrition had poorest clinical outcome. In addition, ROC curves and DCA analysis proved that compared with IPI, KPI, and PINK models, the CONUT score-based nomogram showed a better prognostic predictive efficiency of ENKTL. CONUT could effectively stratify the prognosis of ENKTL and the proposed nomogram based on CONUT was an effective prognostic model for prediction.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial mature T/NK-cell neoplasms is challenging because of their rarity, morphological heterogeneity and complex immunophenotype with scarce available data describing their clinical and microscopic aspects. Therefore, in this study, we investigated a series of mature T/NK-cell neoplasms affecting this anatomical region and provided an updated literature review. METHODS Cases diagnosed as mature T/NK-cell lymphomas affecting the oral and maxillofacial region were retrospectively retrieved from six pathology files and their diagnoses were confirmed using haematoxylin and eosin-stained slides, immunohistochemical reactions and in situ hybridization for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) detection. Patients' clinical data were collected from their pathology forms. RESULTS A total of 22 cases were included in this study. Eleven (50%) consisted of extranodal NK/T-cell lymphomas, nasal type; eight (36.4%) were peripheral T-cell lymphomas, NOS; two (9.1%) were adult T-cell leukaemia/lymphomas, and one (4.5%) was an ALK-positive anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Overall, males predominated, with a mean age of 55.7 years. The palate was the most affected site (50%), and tumours usually presented as destructive and painful ulcers. EBV was present in all cases of extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma nasal type but was absent in the other subtypes. CONCLUSION Among mature T/NK-cell lymphomas of the oral and maxillofacial region, extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type and peripheral T-cell lymphoma, NOS predominated. Older men were the most affected patients, and this heterogeneous group of neoplasms has a very aggressive clinical behaviour.

Abstract
T-cell lymphomas are infrequently encountered in the head and neck area, with the most common subtype being Extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma, nasal type (ENKTL-NT). ENKTL-NT shows a predilection for midline facial structures presenting with ulcerative destructive lesions, whereas palatal involvement is one of the most prominent signs from the oral cavity. Herein, we describe a case of a 76-year-old Greek man with nasal obstruction and an extensive painful necrotic ulcer with ragged borders on the left distal portion of the soft palate and palatine tonsil of 4-months duration. After an initial non-diagnostic biopsy from the nasopharynx, a second incisional biopsy from the palatal lesions was performed. Histopathology was suggestive of an angiocentric lymphoproliferative neoplasm and immunohistochemical examination and in situ hybridization for EBV RNA led to a final diagnosis of ENKTL-NT. The patient was placed under combined chemotherapy and radiotherapy and no recurrence has been noted. Additionally, a retrospective review of the cases in the English literature with an established diagnosis of ENTKL-NT between 2000 and 2019, based on the latest WHO classification of Head and Neck tumors, is performed.
