Abstract
Spinal scoliosis, a prevalent spinal deformity impacting both physical and mental well-being, has a significant genetic component, though the exact pathogenic mechanisms remain elusive. This review offers a comprehensive exploration of current research on embryonic spinal development, focusing on the genetic and biological intricacies governing axial elongation and straightening. Zebrafish, a vital model in developmental biology, takes a prominent role in understanding spinal scoliosis. Insights from zebrafish studies illustrate genetic and physiological aspects, including notochord development and cerebrospinal fluid dynamics, revealing the anomalies contributing to scoliosis. In this review, we acknowledge existing challenges, such as deciphering the unique dynamics of human spinal development, variations in physiological curvature, and disparities in cerebrospinal fluid circulation. Further, we emphasize the need for caution when extrapolating findings to humans and for future research to bridge current knowledge gaps. We hope that this review will be a beneficial frame of reference for the guidance of future studies on animal models and genetic research for spinal scoliosis.

Abstract
This study aimed to elucidate the vertebral bone density variations associated with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), specifically examining the impact of unilateral muscle paralysis using an integrated approach combining Frost's Mechanostat theory, a three-dimensional subject-specific finite element model and a musculoskeletal model of the L2 vertebra. The findings revealed a spectrum of bone density values ranging from 0.29 to 0.31 g/cm3, along with vertebral micro-strain levels spanning from 300 to 2200, consistent with existing literature. Furthermore, the ratio of maximum von Mises stress between the concave and convex side in the AIS model with intact muscles was approximately 1.08, which decreased by 4% due following unilateral paralysis of longissimus thoracis pars thoracic muscle. Overall, this investigation contributes to a deeper understanding of AIS biomechanics and lays the groundwork for future research endeavors aimed at optimizing clinical management approaches for individuals with this condition.

Abstract
Studies have revealed anthropometric discrepancies in girls with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) compared to non-scoliotic subjects, such as a higher stature, lower weight, and lower body mass index. While the causes are still unknown, it was proposed that metabolic hormones could play a role in AIS pathophysiology. Our objectives were to evaluate the association of GLP1R A316T polymorphism in AIS susceptibility and to study its relationship with disease severity and progression. We performed a retrospective case-control association study with controls and AIS patients from an Italian and French Canadian cohort. The GLP1R rs10305492 polymorphism was genotyped in 1025 subjects (313 non-scoliotic controls and 712 AIS patients) using a validated TaqMan allelic discrimination assay. Associations were evaluated by odds ratio and 95% confidence intervals. In the AIS group, there was a higher frequency of the variant genotype A/G (4.2% vs. 1.3%, OR = 3.40, p = 0.016) and allele A (2.1% vs. 0.6%, OR = 3.35, p = 0.017) than controls. When the AIS group was stratified for severity (≤40° vs. >40°), progression of the disease (progressor vs. non-progressor), curve type, or body mass index, there was no statistically significant difference in the distribution of the polymorphism. Our results support that the GLP1R A316T polymorphism is associated with a higher risk of developing AIS, but without being associated with disease severity and progression.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION There is a paucity of literature that examines how the abnormal spinopelvic alignment of scoliosis affects outcomes after total hip arthroplasty (THA) in the absence of a lumbar fusion. METHODS Patients with a history of scoliosis (idiopathic, adolescent, degenerative, or juvenile) without fusion and those without a history of scoliosis who underwent primary THA were identified using a large national database. Ninety-day incidence of various medical complications, emergency department (ED) visit, and readmission and 1-year incidence of surgery-related complications and cost of care were evaluated in both the scoliosis and control cohorts. Propensity score matching was used to control for patient demographic factors and comorbidities as covariates. RESULTS After propensity matching, 21,992 and 219,920 patients were identified in the scoliosis and control cohorts, respectively. Patients with scoliosis were at increased risk of several 90-day medical complications, including pulmonary embolism (odds ratio [OR] 1.96; P < 0.001), deep vein thrombosis (1.49; P < 0.001), transfusion (OR, 1.13; P < 0.001), pneumonia (OR, 1.37; P < 0.001), myocardial infarction (OR, 1.38; P = 0.008), sepsis (OR, 1.59; P < 0.001), acute anemia (OR, 1.21; P < 0.001), and urinary tract infection (OR, 1.1; P = 0.001). Patients with a history of scoliosis were at increased 1-year risk of revision (OR, 1.31; P < 0.001), periprosthetic joint infection (OR, 1.16; P = 0.0089), dislocation (OR, 1.581; P < 0.001), and aseptic loosening (OR, 1.39; P < 0.001) after THA. Patients with scoliosis without a history of fusion were more likely to return to the emergency department (OR, 1.26; P < 0.001) and be readmitted (OR, 1.78; P < 0.001) within 90 days of THA. DISCUSSION Patients with even a remote history of scoliosis without fusion are at increased risk of 90-day medical and surgery-related complications after hip arthroplasty. Hip and spine surgeons should collaborate in future studies to best understand how to optimize these patients for their adult reconstructive procedures.

Abstract
STUDY DESIGN A retrospective case-control study. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate whether myokine, which is related to exercise and muscle mass, could serve as a biomarker for predicting bracing outcomes. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA Several risk factors have been documented to be associated with bracing failure in patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). However, serum biomarkers have not been extensively explored. PATIENTS AND METHODS Skeletally immature females with AIS, without previous histories of bracing or surgery, were included. Peripheral blood was collected at the time of the bracing prescription. Baseline serum concentrations of 8 myokines [apelin, fractalkine, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, erythropoietin, osteonectin, fatty-acid-binding protein 3, follistatin-like 1 (FSTL1), and musclin] were measured by multiplex assays. Patients were followed up until weaned from bracing and then designated as a "failure" (defined as Cobb angle progression >5°) or "success." A logistic regression analysis was performed that accounted for serum myokines and skeletal maturity. RESULTS We included 117 patients, with 27 in the failure group. Patients in the failure group had lower initial Risser sign and lower baseline serum levels of myokines, including FSTL1 (2217.3 ± 617.0 vs . 1369.3 ± 704.9, P = 0.002), apelin [116.5 (12.0, 335.9) vs . 83.5 (10.5, 221.1), P = 0.016], fractalkine (979.6 ± 457.8 vs . 743.8 ± 456.1, P = 0.020), and musclin [211.3 (16.3, 370.3) vs . 67.8 (15.5, 325.6), P = 0.049]. Following adjusted analysis, serum FSTL1 [odds ratio = 10.460; (2.213-49.453)] was determined to be predictive of bracing effectiveness. CONCLUSION Patients who failed AIS bracing had significantly lower mean baseline levels of FSTL1 than those who achieved success. FSTL1 may serve as a biomarker that can inform outcomes after bracing.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is often accompanied by osteopenia and osteoporosis, which can cause serious complications. The aim of this study was to determine the specific bone mineral density (BMD) of each vertebral body in patients with AIS using biomechanical finite element modeling based on three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction. METHODS This retrospective study involved 56 patients with AIS. Computed tomography (CT) and radiography were performed. Spinal vertebrae were segmented from the spinal CT images of patients with AIS to reconstruct 3D vertebral models. The vertebral models were meshed into tetrahedral finite elements to assess the BMD. RESULTS The mean main curve Cobb angle was 88.6 ± 36.7°, and the mean kyphosis angle was 36.8 ± 31.5°. The mean BMD of the global spine was 0.83 ± 0.15 g/cm2. The highest BMD was measured on the concave side of the apex (0.98 ± 0.16 g/cm2). Apical vertebral BMD was negatively correlated with age and height (r = - 0.490, p = 0.009 and r = - 0.478, p = 0.043, respectively). There were no significant differences in BMD values between the concave and convex sides (p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The 3D finite element modeling of BMD in patients with AIS is a reliable and accurate BMD measurement method. Using this method, the overall BMD of patients with AIS was shown to gradually decrease from the top to the bottom of the spine. Our findings provide valuable insights for surgical planning, choice of screw trajectories, and additional biomechanical analyzes using finite element models in the context of scoliosis.

Abstract
Background Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a scoliotic deformity of unknown etiology that occurs during adolescent development. Abnormal bone metabolism is closely related to AIS, but the cause is uncertain. Recent studies have shown that heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) and its phosphorylation (pHSP27) play important roles in bone metabolism. However, whether HSP27 and pHSP27 are involved in abnormal bone metabolism in AIS is unclear. Methods Osteoblasts (OBs) and bone marrow stem cells (BMSCs) were extracted from the facet joints and bone marrow of AIS patients and controls who underwent posterior spinal fusion surgery. The expression levels of HSP27 and pHSP27, as well as the expression levels of bone formation markers in OBs from AIS patients and controls, were examined by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blotting. The mineralization ability of OBs from AIS patients and controls was analyzed by alizarin red staining after osteogenic differentiation. Heat shock and thiolutin were used to increase the levels of pHSP27 in OBs, and the levels of bone formation markers were also investigated. In addition, the levels of pHSP27 and the bone formation ability of BMSCs from AIS patients and controls were investigated after heat shock treatment. Results Lower pHSP27 levels and impaired osteogenic differentiation abilities were observed in the OBs of AIS patients than in those of controls. Thiolutin increased HSP27 phosphorylation and increased the mRNA levels of SPP1 and ALPL in OBs from AIS patients. Heat shock treatment increased SPP1 and HSP27 mRNA expression, pHSP27 levels, OCN expression, and mineralization ability of both OBs and BMSCs from AIS patients. Conclusion Heat shock treatment and thiolutin can increase the levels of pHSP27 and further promote the bone formation of OBs and BMSCs from AIS patients. Therefore, decreased pHSP27 levels may be associated with abnormal bone metabolism in AIS patients.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION A total of 0.1-0.8% of AIS patients progress to severe stages without clear mechanisms, and AIS girls are more prone to curve progression than boys. Recent studies suggest that AIS girls have systemic and persistent low bone-mineral density (BMD), which has been shown to be a significant prognostic factor of curve progression in AIS. The present study aimed to (a) investigate the prevalence of low BMD in patients with severe AIS and (b) assess the sexual dimorphism and independent risk factors of low BMD in severe AIS patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 798 patients (140 boys vs. 658 girls) with AIS who reached surgical threshold (Cobb ≥ 40°) were recruited. BMD were assessed using BMD Z-scores from dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). Demographic, clinical, and laboratory values of the subjects were collected from their medical records. Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors of low BMD. RESULTS The overall prevalence of BMD Z-score ≤ -2 and ≤ -1 were 8.1% and 37.5%, respectively. AIS boys had significantly lower BMD Z-scores (-1.2 ± 0.96 vs. -0.57 ± 0.92) and higher prevalence of low BMD (Z-score ≤ -2: 22.1% vs. 5.2%, p < 0.001; Z-score ≤ -1: 59.3% vs. 32.8%, p < 0.001) than girls. Sex, BMI, serum alkaline phosphatase, and potassium were independent factors of low BMD in the severe AIS patients. CONCLUSIONS The present large cohort of surgical AIS patients revealed that low BMD is more prevalent and severe in boys than in girls with severe curves. Low BMD may serve as a more valuable predictive factor for curve progression to the surgical threshold in boys than girls with AIS.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the associations between adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) and physical activity (PA). DATA SOURCES MEDLINE, EMBASE, AMED, SPORTDiscus, Cochrane Library, and CINAHL electronic databases were searched from inception to August 2022/plus citation tracking. STUDY SELECTION Observational studies of participants with radiographically confirmed AIS with ≥10° lateral spinal curvature (Cobb method) and comparator groups without AIS that measured PA were selected by 2 reviewers. DATA EXTRACTION Data were extracted independently and cross-checked by 2 reviewers. Risk of bias was evaluated using Newcastle Ottawa Scales and overall confidence in the evidence using the GRADE approach. DATA SYNTHESIS Sixteen studies with 9627 participants (9162, 95% women) were included. A history of vigorous PA significantly reduced the odds of being newly diagnosed with AIS by 24% (odds ratio [OR] 0.76, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.65-0.89) (high certainty). Moderate PA reduced odds by 13% (moderate certainty) and light PA increased odds by 9% (low certainty), but neither analysis was statistically significant. Ballet or gymnastics (OR 1.47, 95% CI 3.08 (1.90, 5.00) were the only individual sports significantly associated with AIS diagnosis (moderate certainty). Case-control studies of people with and without AIS provided greater evidence that having AIS reduces vigorous PA and sports participation, and less evidence light PA and walking are affected. CONCLUSION Adolescents who participate in more vigorous PA are less likely to be diagnosed with AIS. Ballet and gymnastics are associated with AIS diagnosis, but the direction of this association is uncertain. People with AIS are likely to do less vigorous physical and sporting activity compared with those without AIS, which could negatively affect health and quality of life. Further research is warranted into the inter-relations between PA and AIS, studies need to be of sufficient size, include men, and evaluate vigorous including higher-impact PA compared with moderate or light PA.

Abstract
PURPOSE Osteoporosis is a risk factor for idiopathic scoliosis (IS) progression, but it is still unclear whether IS patients have bone mineral density (BMD) loss and a higher risk of osteoporosis than asymptomatic people. This systematic review aims to explore the differences in BMD and prevalence of osteoporosis between the IS group and the control group. METHODS We searched 5 health science-related databases. Studies that were published up to February 2022 and written in English and Chinese languages were included. The primary outcome measures consisted of BMD z score, the prevalence of osteoporosis and osteopenia, and areal and volumetric BMD. Bone morphometry, trabecular microarchitecture, and quantitative ultrasound measures were included in the secondary outcome measures. The odds ratio (OR) and the weighted mean difference (WMD) with a 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to pool the data. RESULTS A total of 32 case-control studies were included. The pooled analysis revealed significant differences between the IS group and the control group in BMD z score (WMD -1.191; 95% CI - 1.651 to -0.732, p < 0.001). Subgroup analysis showed significance in both female (WMD -1.031; 95% CI -1.496 to -0.566, p < 0.001) and male participants (WMD -1.516; 95% CI -2.401 to -0.632, p = 0.001). The prevalence of osteoporosis and osteopenia in the group with IS was significantly higher than in the control group (OR = 6.813, 95% CI 2.815-16.489, p < 0.001; OR 1.879; 95% CI 1.548-2.281, p < 0.000). BMD measures by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry and peripheral quantitative computed tomography showed a significant decrease in the IS group (all p < 0.05), but no significant difference was found in the speed of sound measured by quantitative ultrasound between the two groups (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION Both the male and female IS patients had a generalized lower BMD and an increased prevalence of osteopenia and osteoporosis than the control group. Future research should focus on the validity of quantitative ultrasound in BMD screening. To control the risk of progression in IS patients, regular BMD scans and targeted intervention are necessary for IS patients during clinical practice.

Abstract
Study Design Retrospective analysis. Objective To evaluate bone quality and investigate asymmetrical development of the thoracic vertebral body in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) based on Hounsfield unit (HU) measurements obtained from computed-tomography (CT) scans. Summary of Background Data HU value demonstrated higher reliability and accuracy than the traditional method, indicating that they could be used to individually evaluate and effectively assess the bone quality of every vertebra in the CT films. Methods Total 30 AIS patients classified as Lenke Type 1A and 30 paired controls were included in this study. Regions of interest for HU value were measured on three horizontal images of the thoracic vertebrae. HU measurements of the whole vertebral body in each vertebra were obtained. Using HU value, we separately measured the concave and convex sides of each vertebral body in patients' group, as well as within the left and right sides in controls. Results In controls, the mean HU value of T1–T12 thoracic vertebral bodies was 240.03 ± 39.77, with no statistical differences among different levels. As for AIS patients, in the structural curve, the apical region had a significantly lower HU compared with the other regions, and asymmetrical change was found between the concave and convex sides, most significantly in the apical region. In the non-structural curve, the average HU value was 254.99 ± 44.48, and no significant difference was found either among the different levels of vertebrae or between the concave and convex sides. Conclusions Abnormal and asymmetrical changes in bone quality of the thoracic vertebral body in patients with Lenke 1A AIS were indicated. Low bone quality in the convex side of the structural curve indicated stronger internal fixation in surgery to correct the deformity.

Abstract
Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a three-dimensional malformation of the spine of unknown cause that develops between 10 and 18 years old and affects 2-3% of adolescents, mostly girls. It has been reported that girls with AIS have a taller stature, lower body mass index (BMI), and bone mineral density (BMD) than their peers, but the causes remain unexplained. Energy metabolism discrepancies, including alterations in adipokine and incretin circulatory levels, could influence these parameters and contribute to disease pathophysiology. This pilot study aims to compare the anthropometry, BMD, and metabolic profile of 19 AIS girls to 19 age-matched healthy controls. Collected data include participants' fasting metabolic profile, anthropometry (measurements and DXA scan), nutritional intake, and physical activity level. AIS girls (14.8 ± 1.7 years, Cobb angle 27 ± 10°), compared to controls (14.8 ± 2.1 years), were leaner (BMI-for-age z-score ± SD: -0.59 ± 0.81 vs. 0.09 ± 1.11, p = 0.016; fat percentage: 24.4 ± 5.9 vs. 29.2 ± 7.2%, p = 0.036), had lower BMD (total body without head z-score ± SD: -0.6 ± 0.83 vs. 0.23 ± 0.98, p = 0.038; femoral neck z-score: -0.54 ± 1.20 vs. 0.59 ± 1.59, p = 0.043), but their height was similar. AIS girls had higher adiponectin levels [56 (9-287) vs. 32 (7-74) μg/mL, p = 0.005] and lower leptin/adiponectin ratio [0.042 (0.005-0.320) vs. 0.258 (0.024-1.053), p = 0.005]. AIS participants with a Cobb angle superior to 25° had higher resistin levels compared to controls [98.2 (12.8-287.2) vs. 32.1 (6.6-73.8), p = 0.0013]. This pilot study suggests that adipokines are implicated in AIS development and/or progression, but more work is needed to confirm their role in the disease.

Abstract
Scoliosis is a common spinal deformity that considerably affects the physical and psychological health of patients. Studies have shown that genetic factors play an important role in scoliosis. However, its etiopathogenesis remain unclear, partially because of the genetic heterogeneity of scoliosis and the lack of appropriate model systems. Recently, the development of efficient gene editing methods and high-throughput sequencing technology has made it possible to explore the underlying pathological mechanisms of scoliosis. Owing to their susceptibility for developing scoliosis and high genetic homology with human, zebrafish are increasingly being used as a model for scoliosis in developmental biology, genetics, and clinical medicine. Here, we summarize the recent advances in scoliosis research on zebrafish and discuss the prospects of using zebrafish as a scoliosis model.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Peripheral-quantitative computed tomography (pQCT) provides an intriguing diagnostic alternative to dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) since it can measure 3D bone geometry and differentiate between the cortical and trabecular bone compartments. OBJECTIVE To investigate and summarize the methods of pQCT image acquisition of in children, adolescents and/or young adults (up to age 20) and to aggregate the published normative pQCT data. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION A literature search was conducted in MEDLINE and EMBASE from 1947 to December 2020. Quality of the included articles was assessed using Standards for Reporting of Diagnostic Accuracy (STARD) scoring system and United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) Study Design Categorization. Seven articles, encompassing a total of 2134 participants, were aggregated in the meta-analysis. Due to dissimilar age groups and scan sites, only seven pQCT parameters of the 4% radius, 4% tibia and 38% tibia were analyzed in this meta-analysis. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS The overall fixed-effect estimates of trabecular vBMD of the 4% radius were: 207.16 (201.46, 212.86), mg/cm3 in 8 to 9 year-old girls, 210.42 (201.91, 218.93)in 10 to 12 year-old girls, 226.99 (222.45, 231.54) in 12 to 13 year-old girls, 259.97 (254.85, 265.10) in 12 to 13 year-old boys and 171.55 (163.41,179.69) in 16 to 18 year-old girls. 21 of 54 (38.9%) primary papers received a 'good' STARD quality of reporting score (<90 and 70 ≥ %) (mean STARD score of all articles = 69.4%). The primary articles of this review had a 'good' level USPSTF study design categorization. However, most of the normative data in these articles were non-comparable and non-aggregable due to a lack of standardization of reference lines, acquisition parameters and/or age at acquisition. CONCLUSION There is not sufficient evidence to suggest that pQCT is appropriately suited for use in the pediatric clinical setting. Normative pediatric data must be systematically derived for pQCT should it ever be a modality that is used outside of research. CLINICAL IMPACT We demonstrate the need for normative pQCT reference data and for clinical guidelines that standardize pediatric acquisition parameters and delineate its use in pediatric settings.

Abstract
Adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) often receive conservative treatments aiming to prevent progression of the spinal deformity during puberty. This study aimed to explore patient adherence and secondary outcomes during the first 6 months in an ongoing randomised controlled trial of three treatment interventions. Interventions consisted of physical activity combined with either hypercorrective Boston brace night shift (NB), scoliosis-specific exercise (SSE), or physical activity alone (PA). Measures at baseline and 6 months included angle of trunk rotation (ATR), Cobb angle, International Physical Activity Questionnaire short form (IPAQ-SF), pictorial Spinal Appearance Questionnaire (pSAQ), Scoliosis Research Society (SRS-22r), EuroQol 5-Dimensions Youth (EQ-5D-Y) and Visual Analogue Scale (EQ-VAS). Patient adherence, motivation, and capability in performing the intervention were reported at 6 months. The study included 135 patients (111 females) with AIS and >1-year estimated remaining growth, mean age 12.7 (1.4) years, and mean Cobb angle 31 (±5.3). At 6 months, the proportion of patients in the groups reporting high to very high adherence ranged between 72 and 95%, while motivation ranged between 65 and 92%, with the highest proportion seen in the NB group (p = 0.014, p= 0.002). IPAQ-SF displayed significant between group main effects regarding moderate activity (F = 5.7; p = 0.004; ηp2 = 0.10), with a medium-sized increase favouring the SSE group compared to NB. Walking showed significant between group main effects, as did metabolic equivalent (MET-min/week), with medium (F = 6.8, p = 0.002; ηp2 = 0.11, and large (F = 8.3, p = < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.14) increases, respectively, for the SSE and PA groups compared to NB. From baseline to 6 months, ATR showed significant between group medium-sized main effects (F = 1.2, p = 0.019, ηp2 = 0.007) favouring the NB group compared to PA, but not reaching a clinically relevant level. In conclusion, patients reported high adherence and motivation to treatment, especially in the NB group. Patients in the SSE and PA groups increased their physical activity levels without other clinically relevant differences between groups in other clinical measures or patient-reported outcomes. The results suggest that the prescribed treatments are viable first-step options during the first 6 months.

Assessment of Static Plantar Pressure, Stabilometry, Vitamin D and Bone Mineral Density in Female Adolescents with Moderate Idiopathic Scoliosis. Abstract
(1) Background: Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) can be associated with vitamin D deficiency and osteopenia. Plantar pressure and stabilometry offer important information about posture. The objectives of our study were to compare static plantar pressure and stabilometric parameters, serum 25-OH-vitamin D3 and calcium levels, and bone mineral densitometry expressed as z-score in patients with moderate AIS and healthy subjects. (2) Methods: 32 female adolescents (idiopathic S shaped moderate scoliosis, main lumbar curve) and 32 gender and age-matched controls performed: static plantar pressure, stabilometry, serum 25-OH-vitamin D3 and calcium levels, and dual X-ray absorptiometry scans of the spine. (3) Results: In scoliosis patients, significant differences were recorded between right and left foot for total foot, first and fifth metatarsal, and heel loadings. Stabilometry showed a poorer postural control when compared to healthy subjects (p < 0.001). Patients had significantly lower vitamin D, calcium levels, and z-scores. Lumbar Cobb angle was significantly correlated with the z-score (r = −0.39, p = 0.02), with right foot fifth metatarsal load (r = −0.35, p = 0.04), center of pressure CoPx (r = −0.42, p = 0.01), CoP displacement (r = 0.35, p = 0.04) and 90% confidence ellipse area (r = −0.38, p = 0.03). (4) Conclusions: In our study including female adolescents with idiopathic S shaped moderate scoliosis, plantar pressure and stabilometric parameters were influenced by the main scoliotic curve.
