Abstract
PURPOSE To link the items from shoulder-specific Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) domains and categories, and to determine if the items fit into the ICF framework. MATERIALS AND METHODS The Brazilian versions of the Oxford Shoulder Score (OSS), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI), Simple Shoulder Test (SST) and Western Ontario Rotator Cuff Index (WORC) were linked to the ICF by two researchers independently. Agreement between raters was determined by calculating the Kappa Index. RESULTS Fifty-eight items from the PROMs were linked to eight domains and 27 categories of ICF. The PROMs covered components of body functions, activities, and participation. Components of body structure and environmental factors were not covered by any of the PROMs. There was substantial agreement between raters when linking the OSS (Kappa index = 0.66), SPADI (Kappa index = 0.92), SST (Kappa index = 0.72) and WORC (Kappa index = 0.71). CONCLUSIONS WORC and SST were the PROMs that covered the highest number of ICF domains (seven and six, respectively). However, SST is short and may be less time consuming in a clinical assessment. Clinicians can benefit from this study to decide which shoulder-specific PROM may be more adequate according to the clinical demand.Implications For RehabilitationWestern Ontario Rotator Cuff Index was the shoulder-specific Patient Reported Outcome Measure (PROM) that best showed a broader view of functionality through the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) domains that can influence shoulder pain and disability.Simple Shoulder Test seems to be the most recommended shoulder-specific PROM considering the number of domains covered by the ICF and the clinical evaluation time consumption.Shoulder Pain and Disability Index fails to provide a broader view of functioning through other ICF domains that may influence shoulder pain and disability.

Abstract
Background There has not yet been a pictorial version of a patient-reported outcome measure for shoulder pain. Purpose To translate the English version of the Oxford Shoulder Score (OSS) to a simplified Chinese version (SC-OSS) and to validate a new face-scale version of the OSS (FS-OSS), while investigating cross-cultural adaptation, validation, and reproducibility of both versions in patients with shoulder pain. Study Design Cohort study (diagnosis); Level of evidence, 2. Methods The translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the SC-OSS was performed using a forward-backward translation method. The FS-OSS was developed on the basis of the SC-OSS, using the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale for reference. Participants were asked to complete the SC-OSS, FS-OSS, Simple Shoulder Test (SST), Constant-Murley score (CMS), and 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). Validation and reproducibility were tested by calculating Cronbach α values for internal consistency as well as by intraclass correlation coefficients. Time needed to complete the scores was used to test cross-cultural adaption. Results A total of 312 respondents participated in the research and completed all outcome measures. The internal consistency was strong, with a Cronbach α of .94 and .91 for the FS-OSS and SC-OSS, respectively. High intraclass correlation coefficient values for the FS-OSS score (0.95) and SC-OSS (0.92) were obtained, which indicated excellent test-retest reliability. The Pearson correlation coefficients of the SC-OSS and FS-OSS with the SST (r = 0.67 and 0.65, respectively), CMS (r = 0.62 and 0.66, respectively), and SF-36 (r = 0.52 and 0.57, respectively) indicated good construct validity. The time needed to complete the FS-OSS was less than that needed for the SC-OSS and SST. Conclusion The FS-OSS and SC-OSS were validated as reliable instruments for patients with shoulder pain. For Chinese patients, the face-scale version was easier to understand than the cross-cultural text version.

Abstract
The objective of this review was to compile validated functional shoulder assessment tools and analyse the methodological quality of their validations. Secondarily, we aimed to provide a comparison of the tools, including parameter descriptions, indications/applications, languages and operating instructions, to choose the most suitable for future clinical and research approaches. A systematic review (PRISMA) was conducted using: PubMed, WoS Scopus, CINHAL, Dialnet and reference lists until 2020. The main criteria for inclusion were that papers were original studies of validated tools or validation studies. Pre-established tables showed tools, validations, items/components, etc. The QUADAS-2 and COSMIN-RB were used to assess the methodological quality of validations. Ultimately, 85 studies were selected, 32 tools and 111 validations. Risk of bias scored lower than applicability, and patient selection got the best scores (QUADAS-2). Internal consistency had the highest quality and PROMs development the lowest (COSMIN-RB). Responsiveness was the most analysed metric property. Modified UCLA and SST obtained the highest quality in shoulder instability surgery, and SPADI in pain. The most approached topic was activities of daily living (81%). We compiled 32 validated functional shoulder assessment tools, and conducted an analysis of the methodological quality of 111 validations associated with them. Modified UCLA and SST showed the highest methodological quality in instability surgery and SPADI in pain.

Abstract
PURPOSE The current study aimed to evaluate the internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and construct validity of the translated and adapted Arabic version of the Oxford shoulder score in patients with shoulder disorders. METHODS One hundred four patients (average age 45.9 ± 15.2 years; female 78.8%) with shoulder disorders, including impingement syndrome, rotator cuff disorder, osteoarthritis, and adhesive capsulitis, participated. The participants were asked to complete the adapted Arabic version of the Oxford shoulder score, shoulder pain and disability index, and the Arabic numeric pain rating scale. The participants were also asked to complete the second form of the Oxford shoulder score after one week to evaluate test-retest reliability. Two Arabic native speakers translated and adapted the Arabic version of the Oxford shoulder score as per given international guidelines. RESULTS All patients participated in the second assessment (response rate = 100%). Test-retest reliability and internal consistency of the Oxford shoulder score were high (intraclass correlation coefficient, 0.92; Cronbach's alpha coefficient, 0.91). A significant correlation between the Oxford shoulder score and the shoulder pain and disability index and Arabic numeric pain rating scale scores supported the construct validity of the scale (p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS The translated and adapted Arabic version of the Oxford shoulder score indicated adequate internal consistency, test-retest reliability and construct validity. Abstract
BACKGROUND In ultrasound plane wave imaging (PWI), image details are often blurred by the off-axis artefacts resulting from high sidelobe. Recently plane wave compounding (PWC) is proposed as a promising technique for the sidelobe suppression in the PWI. However, its high demand for the frame number results in an obvious frame rate loss, which is intolerable in the ultrafast imaging modality. To reduce the number of frames required for compounding, coherence in the compounding frames should be exploited. METHODS In this paper, we propose a global effective distance-based sidelobe suppressing method for the PWC with a limited frame number, where the global effective distance is introduced to measure the inter-frame coherence. Specifically, the effective distance is firstly computed by using a sparse representation-based algorithm. Then, the sidelobe localization is carried out on the basis of the effective distance. Finally, the target-dependent weighting factor is adopted to suppress the sidelobe. RESULTS To assert the superiority of our proposed method, we compare the performances of different sidelobe reduction methods on both simulated and experimental PWC data. In case of 5 steering angles, our method shows a 19 dB reduction in the peak sidelobe level compared to the normal PWC in the point spread function test, and the contrast ratio is enhanced by more than 10% in both the simulation and phantom studies. CONCLUSIONS Consequently, the proposed method is convinced to be a promising approach in enhancing the PWC image quality.
