Abstract
Infectious diseases are a cause of major concern in this twenty-first century. There have been reports of various outbreaks like severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in 2003, swine flu in 2009, Zika virus disease in 2015, and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in 2012, since the start of this millennium. In addition to these outbreaks, the latest infectious disease to result in an outbreak is the SARS-CoV-2 infection. A viral infection recognized as a respiratory illness at the time of emergence, SARS-CoV-2 has wreaked havoc worldwide because of its long-lasting implications like heart failure, sepsis, organ failure, etc., and its significant impact on the global economy. Besides the acute illness, it also leads to symptoms months later which is called long COVID or post-COVID-19 condition. Due to its ever-increasing prevalence, it has been a significant challenge to treat the affected individuals and manage the complications as well. Myocarditis, a long-term complication of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an inflammatory condition involving the myocardium of the heart, which could even be fatal in the long term in cases of progression to ventricular dysfunction and heart failure. Thus, it is imperative to diagnose early and treat this condition in the affected individuals. At present, there are numerous studies which are in progress, investigating patients with COVID-19-related myocarditis and the treatment strategies. This review focuses primarily on myocarditis, a life-threatening complication of COVID-19 illness, and endeavors to elucidate the pathogenesis, biomarkers, and management of long COVID myocarditis along with pipeline drugs in detail.

Abstract
Between 30-40% of patients with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) do not show an improvement in left ventricular (LV) function. It is generally known that patient selection, LV lead implantation location, and device timing optimization are the three main factors that determine CRT response. Research has shown that image-guided CRT placement, which takes into account both anatomical and functional cardiac properties, positively affects the CRT response rate. In current clinical practice, a multimodality imaging approach comprised of echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, or nuclear medicine imaging is used to capture these features. However, with cardiac computed tomography (CT), one has an all-in-one acquisition method for both patient selection and the division of a patient-tailored, image-guided CRT placement strategy. This review discusses the applicability of CT in CRT patient identification, selection, and guided placement, offering insights into potential advancements in optimizing CRT outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a common, steady growing lung tumour that is often discovered when a surgical approach is forbidden. For locally advanced inoperable NSCLC, the clinical approach consists of a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, eventually followed by adjuvant immunotherapy, a treatment that is useful but may cause several mild and severe adverse effect. Chest radiotherapy, specifically, may affect the heart and coronary artery, impairing heart function and causing pathologic changes in myocardial tissues. The aim of this study is to evaluate the damage coming from these therapies with the aid of cardiac imaging. METHODS This is a single-centre, prospective clinical trial. Patients with NSCLC who are enrolled will undergo computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before chemotherapy 3 months, 6 months, and 9-12 months after the treatment. We expect to enrol 30 patients in 2 years. CONCLUSIONS Our clinical trial will be an opportunity not only to highlight the timing and the radiation dose needed for pathological cardiac tissue changes to happen but will also provide useful data to set new follow-up schedules and strategies, keeping in mind that, more often than not, patients affected by NSCLC may present other heart- and lung-related pathological conditions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Unroofed coronary sinus syndrome (UCSS) is a rare cardiovascular malformation with nonspecific clinical manifestations that easily causes misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. The aim of this study is to present the different features of UCSS by various CCT (cardiac CT) postprocessing techniques and evaluate the diagnostic advantages of CCT. METHODS 9 UCSS patients who were diagnosed by imaging and undergone both CCT and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) were included in this study, and their CCT images were reviewed. The UCSS images were classified by multiplanar reformations, maximum intensity projection, volume rendering and cinematic rendering. The size of CS roof defect was also measured. RESULTS Only 4 of 9 CCT confirmed UCSS patients were detected by TTE (4/9, 44.4%), the sensitivity of TTE was lower compared to CCT by Fisher's exact test (P < 0.05). UCSS was classified according to the Kirklin and Barratt Boyes's method, including 1 case was classified as type I, 4 cases as type II, 1 case as type III, 2 cases as type IV, 1 case as type V (variant type), and TTE was undiagnosed in all type III-V patients. Additionally, CCT showed 12 extra malformations in these patients, only 5 of them were found by TTE (5/12, 41.7%), and TTE missed all extracardiac malformations. The mean size of CS roof defect was 3.04 ± 1.57 cm. CONCLUSIONS CCT with various postprocessing technologies has excellent value in diagnosing and differentiating subtypes of UCSS, measuring size of coronary sinus defect, describing accompanying cardiovascular abnormalities.

Abstract
Objectives:
Women show significant in-hospital morbidity and mortality with greater extent of symptoms, poorer post-revascularization outcome with increased restenosis and repeat revascularization after angioplasty, than men. Smaller sized coronary arteries in females can be attributable for this differential outcome, which is also similar in case of Indians, compared to Caucasians. Our aim is to assess the gender-specific difference in coronary arteries using noninvasive Multidetector Computed-Tomography Coronary-Angiogram(CT-CAG) and comparing the same with other racial database.
Materials and Methods:
With Ethics committee approval, present retrospective comparative study conducted in 128CT-CAG scans in 18-45years aged 100 women and 89 men with no atherosclerotic burden excluding pathological coronaries and high calcium score>100. Diameter measurements of proximal (≤10mm) segments of right coronary artery(RCA), left main coronary artery(LMCA), left anterior descending(LAD) and circumflex(LCx) arteries were taken, averaged and compared using 2-sample z-test. Considering the obtained mean diameters of total sample as South-Indian dataset which is then compared with Caucasians dataset taken from previous study.
Results:
Women showed smaller coronary artery diameters compared to men in all the arteries, with greater gender-specific age-adjusted difference in LMCA, followed by LAD, RCA and least in LCX. South-Indians showed statistically significant smaller diameters of all the coronary arteries compared to Caucasians.
Conclusion:
Gender-specific difference among the coronary arteries does exist, with females having smaller dimensions; South-Indians also show smaller diameters. This warrants a clinician for gender-specific approaches during the interventions because of technical difficulties.

Abstract
The aim of this case report is to show the capability of cardiac computed tomography (CT) in combination with dual-energy CT (DECT) delayed myocardial enhancement to support diagnostic decision making in the complicated differential diagnosis of true versus false left ventricle (LV) aneurysm, as well as provide additional information that can influence overall patient outcome. We present a 71-year-old obese patient with metabolic syndrome, stable chronic coronary syndrome with three-vessel disease, and recent chest discomfort. His coronary angiogram showed no significant coronary artery stenosis, but suspicion of LV apical pseudoaneurysm was expressed. Neither transthoracic nor transesophageal echocardiography was able to dismiss this suspicion. Consequently, coronary CT angiography (CCTA) followed by DECT delayed myocardial enhancement was performed. Findings on CCTA and DECT confirmed the diagnosis of a true aneurysm. Moreover, fibrotic changes within the hypertrophic myocardium were visualized. This finding will influence further patient therapy as well as the outcome. DECT delayed myocardial enhancement can be an important complementary tool for distinguishing true versus false LV aneurysms. Moreover, it can provide additional information for making complex diagnose. Adding DECT delayed myocardial enhancement to CCTA can replace cardiac magnetic resonance imaging evaluation in certain settings.
