Abstract
The case involves a 10-year-old child who underwent a left radical nephrectomy for what was believed to be a Wilms' tumor. Histopath examination indicated a benign vascular lesion, subsequently determined to be an anastomosing hemangioma of the kidney. A comparison with the previously cited pediatric patients with renal vascular tumors is provided, and the inconsistent diagnostic terminologies for these conditions are highlighted. The therapeutic implications of these predominantly benign renal tumors, in the context of the much more frequently encountered malignant neoplasms in children, are additionally discussed.

Abstract
Ultrasonography and CT have allowed improved detection of renal mass lesions. Though ultrasonography is less sensitive in the characterization of the renal mass lesions, it is often the first imaging modality for evacuation of the kidneys. This article gives an overview of the benign and malignant renal mass lesions and the role of ultrasonography in their characterization.

Abstract
Renal hemangioma is an uncommon benign tumor which usually causes painless or painful gross hematuria. Its preoperative diagnosis is extremely difficult or even impossible. We experienced three cases of renal hemangioma, located mainly at the pelvocalyceal junction or in the inner medulla. US demonstrated variable echogenecity, and CT revealed a lack of significant enhancement. Where there is gross hematuria in a young adult, especially when the renal mass located in the pelvocalyceal junction or inner medulla shows little enhancement on CT, renal hemangioma should form part of the differential diagnosis.

Abstract
Renal hemangiomas are rare neoplasms of the kidney, and the number of cases reported in the literature are about 200 since the original description by Virchow in 1867. Among these, only a few have been examined by the combination of ultrasound, computed tomography, and angiography. We present a demonstrative case diagnosed at our clinic and review the corresponding literature.

Abstract
General features. Haemangiomas are benign vascular tumours. They can regress spontaneously as a result of fibrosclerosis, suggesting a conservative approach wherever possible. Asymptomatic haemangiomas do not require treatment. Renal haemangioma. In all, 198 cases have been reported. The lesion is usually solitary and unilateral and occurs most often in the pyramid, and in the mucosa or subepithelial tissue of the pelvis. In some cases a tentative diagnosis of haemangioma has been made by means of selective renal angiography and pre- or per-operative renoscopy. Partial nephrectomy is recommended in cases of minor haemangioma. Ureteric haemangioma. Six cases have been described. When haemangioma is suspected a conservative operation is recommended. Bladder haemangioma. A total of 106 cases have been reported. Many of the tumours had the characteristics of an iceberg, with considerable extravesical extension making endoscopic management less suitable because of the possibility of massive haemorrhage or recurrence. Consequently, many authors prefer local excision. In the case of endoscopic treatment the patient should be prepared for open surgery. Urethral haemangioma. Twenty cases have been described. The lesions often extend further than is immediately apparent. Endoscopic management is recommended for small lesions and, in the case of more extensive lesions, open exploration is advised followed by appropriate urethral reconstruction.

Abstract
The first case of renal hemangiopericytoma presenting radiologically as a hypovascular mass is described. Preoperative diagnostic evaluation included ultrasonography, retrograde pyeloureterography, computerized tomography and angiography. Electron microscopy is helpful to distinguish this lesion from histologically similar juxtaglomerular cell tumors. Although renal hemangiopericytoma may appear benign on pathological examination it should be treated as a low grade malignancy and followed carefully.

Abstract
Renal hemangiomas are rare lesions that demonstrate a spectrum of clinical, radiographic, and pathologic presentation. Angiographic differentiation from renal cell carcinoma is usually possible, and in such cases conservative management should be attempted. Hemangiomas are in some ways similar to arteriovenous malformations, but lack the rapid and pronounced pre-capillary shunting that characterize the latter. Three cases are presented, two managed surgically with one requiring nephroscopy for diagnosis, and one managed non-operatively. Brush biopsies of lesions with pyelographic characteristics of renal hemangioma should not be attempted without prior angiography.

Abstract
The ultrasonographic and computed tomographic images of renal angiomyolipoma are sufficiently characteristic to permit accurate radiologic diagnosis. If low-density, fat-containing areas are demonstrated, a confident diagnosis of renal angiomyolipoma may be made and appropriate management planned.
