Abstract
BACKGROUND Multiple educational modalities have been utilized including leaflet, face-to-face counseling and watching videos in waiting areas for engaging patients. Considering the two challenges of waiting time frustration and lack of health screening awareness, Family Physicians' waiting area are an ideal place to bridge this gap. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of video-based health education intervention in improving knowledge about health screening among patients and their families sitting in waiting area of Family Medicine clinics. METHODS It was a pre and post quasi-experimental study that was conducted in family medicine clinics located at main campus and Outreach centers of a tertiary care hospital. A total of 300 participants were approached during the six month period. The intervention consisted of an educational video on health screening. The content of the video was taken from the recommended preventive care guidelines from CDC and USPSTF. The pre-and post-intervention knowledge of the participants was assessed through a semi-structured coded questionnaire by an interviewer who was trained in data collection. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 26. Pre and post intervention knowledge adequacy was determined using MacNemar's Chi-square test. RESULTS Total 300 participants voluntarily participated into the study. Median age of the participants was 28 (IQR = 23.25-36.75) years. Majority of participants were males (56%). Following the intervention, there was significant increase in the proportion of participants (51.3% versus 68%) who had understanding of health screening check-up (p < 0.001). Following the study intervention, there was significant increase in proportion of participants who had adequate knowledge related to diabetes (p = 0.045), hypertension (p < 0.001), cholesterol (p < 0.001), cervical cancer (p < 0.001), colon cancer (p < 0.001) and hepatitis B & C (p < 0.001). No significant improvement in breast cancer related knowledge was observed (p = 0.074). Highest post-intervention increase in knowledge from baseline was observed for hypertension (13.3% versus 63.3%) followed by colon cancer (24.3% versus 59.3%), cholesterol (67 versus 96.7%), hepatitis b & C (56.7% versus 77.3%), diabetes (29.7% versus 48%), cervical cancer (1.7% versus 19%), and breast cancer (7.7% versus 18.3%). CONCLUSION This study highlighted a pivotal role of an educational video intervention in clinic waiting area to improve awareness regarding health screening among patients and their families. Further interventional community based or multicenter studies are warranted to assess the long-term impact of these educational videos on knowledge and utilization of health screening among adult population.

Abstract
The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is effective in cervical cancer prevention. However, many barriers to uptake exist and strategies to overcome them are needed. Therefore, this study aimed to select and tailor implementation strategies to barriers identified by multiple stakeholders in Zambia. The study was conducted in Lusaka district between January and February 2023. Participants were purposively sampled from three stakeholder groups namely, adolescent girls, parents, and teachers and healthcare workers. With each of the stakeholders' groups (10-13 participants per group), we used the nominal group technique to gain consensus to tailor feasible and acceptable implementation strategies for mitigating the identified contextual barriers. The identified barriers included low levels of knowledge and awareness about the HPV vaccine, being out of school, poor community sensitisation, lack of parental consent to vaccinate daughters, and myths and misinformation about the HPV vaccine. The lack of knowledge and awareness of the HPV vaccine was a common barrier across the three groups. Tailored strategies included conducting educational meetings and consensus-building meetings, using mass media, changing service sites, re-examining implementation, and involving patients/consumers and their relatives. Our study contributes to the available evidence on the process of selecting and tailoring implementation strategies to overcome contextual barriers. Policymakers should consider these tailored strategies to mitigate barriers and improve HPV vaccine uptake.

Abstract
Despite prevalent preventative methods of human papillomavirus (HPV), cervical cancer remains the foremost cause of cancer-related death among women of reproductive age in Western Kenya. HPV self-sampling is a preventative measure that can improve accessibility and availability to cervical cancer screening. Correct education about HPV is crucial to combating stigma and increasing HPV screening uptake. In this study, we evaluated the workflow impact of a video-assisted HPV education to promote self-sampling in clinical settings in Kisumu, Kenya. We conducted a descriptive workflow study nested in a two-part cluster-randomized control trial in six government-supported health clinics in Kisumu County. We observed the workflow of HPV screening video-assisted and standard health educations. and evaluated community and clinic health assistant facilitation (CCHA), duration, and feasibility of the intervention. Thirty HPV screening-eligible women who participated in the video intervention were recruited for three focus group discussions (FGDs). The FGDs aimed to better understand women's experience with the video screening, their impressions on the content, and feedback about intervention logistics. Across 33 observations, 16.5 women per day watched the educational video at intervention clinics, and 14 women per day heard standard Ministry of Health cervical cancer prevention education talks at control clinics. Sixty-three percent of women participated in HPV self-sampling in the intervention sites, compared to forty-six percent who screened after standard health talks at control sites. The workflow observations identified variable video projection and viewing space, access to power supply, and CCHA availability and ability to utilize the projector as major factors impacting education workflow. Women in FGDs appreciated the video modality, length of video, and education location. HPV video education is a suitable intervention, with further research recommended to determine the viability of sustainably implementing the intervention in a clinic environment. Abstract
Ongoing research is gradually broadening the idea of cancer treatment, with attention being focused on nanoparticles to improve the stability, therapeutic efficacy, targeting, and other important metrics of conventional drugs and traditional drug delivery methods. Studies have demonstrated that drug delivery carriers based on biomaterials (e.g., protein nanoparticles and lipids) and inorganic materials (e.g., metal nanoparticles) have potential anticancer effects. Among these carriers, self-assembled proteins and peptides, which are highly biocompatible and easy to standardize and produce, are strong candidates for the preparation of anticancer drugs. Breast cancer (BC) and cervical cancer (CC) are two of the most common and deadly cancers in women. These cancers not only threaten lives globally but also put a heavy burden on the healthcare system. Despite advances in medical care, the incidence of these two cancers, particularly CC, which is almost entirely preventable, continues to rise, and the mortality rate remains steady. Therefore, there is still a need for in-depth research on these two cancers to develop more targeted, efficacious, and safe therapies. This paper reviews the types of self-assembling proteins and peptides (e.g., ferritin, albumin, and virus-like particles) and natural products (e.g., soy and paclitaxel) commonly used in the treatment of BC and CC and describes the types of drugs that can be delivered using self-assembling proteins and peptides as carriers (e.g., siRNAs, DNA, plasmids, and mRNAs). The mechanisms (including self-assembly) by which the natural products act on CC and BC are discussed. The mechanism of action of natural products on CC and BC and the mechanism of action of self-assembled proteins and peptides have many similarities (e.g., NF-KB and Wnt). Thus, natural products using self-assembled proteins and peptides as carriers show potential for the treatment of BC and CC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES to identify, map and describe characteristics of educational interventions for cervical cancer prevention in adult women. METHODS a scoping review conducted on eleven databases and the gray literature, including studies that described educational interventions aimed at preventing cervical cancer in adult women. RESULTS thirty-three articles with 151,457 participants were analyzed. The most used educational strategies were participatory discussions and educational leaflets. Most of the interventions took place in a single session, ranging from 40 to 60 minutes. The most used theoretical model in interventions to improve women's compliance with Pap smear was the Health Belief Model. CONCLUSIONS group discussions, lectures and educational brochures can increase knowledge and reduce barriers to cervical cancer prevention. Theory-based and culturally sensitive interventions can have a positive impact on women's health.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The objective of the present study was to assess the effect of multimodal interventions on women's knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards the participation in the cervical screening test. METHODS A quasi-experimental design is executed with a multi-stage sampling of 300 women residing in rural India. Various multimodal interventions, including a documentary film, face-to-face meetings, written booklets, reminder letters, SMS, and telephone calls, are used to motivate the women for cervical cancer screening. RESULTS Following the interventions, 99% of the participants became aware of cervical cancer and increased their participation in screening from 3.0 % (Pretest) to 79.9% (Posttest). Three reminders have been sent to the participants, throughout the intervention period which has led to a considerable rise in the participants' willingness to participate in screening, hiking from 58% to 79.9%. The Pap smear test results have shown that: among 288 women, 21 have Typical Malignant cells on their cervix, and two women have been diagnosed with cervical cancer (Stage 1a and Stage 1b). CONCLUSION The findings of the study indicate that utilizing diverse interventions in health education alters women's behavior, enhances the compliance of cervical cancer screening, and ultimately helps to prevent life-threatening risks.

Abstract
This is a quasi-experimental study applying a nonequivalent control group pre-test-post-test design with the control of exogenous variables to compare the research variables among experimental groups. Participants totaled 67 and were divided into three groups, each participating in a different training program (lecture, online video, and case-based peer role-play). There were significant increases in attitudes toward smoking cessation interventions in Experiment 2 (online video) (t = -2.48, p = .021) and Experiment 3 (case-based peer role-play) (t = -2.69. p = .013), efficacy of smoking cessation interventions in Experiment 2 (-2.06, p = .052), and intention to deliver smoking cessation intervention in all experimental groups (Exp 1 t = -5.54, p < .001; Exp 2 t = -2.83, p = .010; Exp 3 t = -3.50, p = .002). All three programs of smoking cessation counseling education (lecture, online video, and case-based peer role-play) used in this study showed meaningful results on the study variables. In conclusion, all of the approaches of this study were found to be effective on the intention to deliver smoking cessation intervention, and it is important to creatively apply counseling programs that include essential elements of smoking cessation interventions in nursing education settings.

Abstract
Background Vaccine hesitancy has hampered the control of COVID-19 and other vaccine-preventable diseases. Methods We conducted a national internet-based, quasi-experimental study to evaluate COVID-19 vaccine informational videos. Participants received an informational animated video paired with the randomized assignment of (1) a credible source (differing race/ethnicity) and (2) sequencing of a personal narrative before or after the video addressing their primary vaccine concern. We examined viewing time and asked video evaluation questions to those who viewed the full video. Results Among 14,235 participants, 2,422 (17.0%) viewed the full video. Those who viewed a personal story first (concern video second) were 10 times more likely to view the full video (p < 0.01). Respondent-provider race/ethnicity congruence was associated with increased odds of viewing the full video (aOR: 1.89, p < 0.01). Most viewers rated the informational video(s) to be helpful, easy to understand, trustworthy, and likely to impact others' vaccine decisions, with differences by demographics and also vaccine intentions and concerns. Conclusion Using peer-delivered, personal narrative, and/or racially congruent credible sources to introduce and deliver vaccine safety information may improve the openness of vaccine message recipients to messages and engagement.

Abstract
Barriers to successful implementation of the human papillomavirus vaccination exist. However, there is limited evidence on implementation strategies in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Therefore, this scoping review aimed to identify implementation strategies used in SSA to increase HPV vaccination uptake for adolescent girls. This scoping review was guided by Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines for scoping reviews and an a priori protocol and reported based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Metanalysis for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). We searched PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, Scopus, Google Scholar, and gray literature. Two independent reviewers screened article titles and abstracts for possible inclusion, reviewed the full text, and extracted data from eligible articles using a structured data charting table. We identified strategies as specified in the Expert Recommendation for Implementing Change (ERIC) and reported their importance and feasibility. We retrieved 246 articles, included 28 of these, and identified 63 of the 73 ERIC implementation strategies with 667 individual uses, most of which were highly important and feasible. The most frequently used discrete strategies included the following: Build a coalition and change service sites 86% (24/28), distribute educational materials and conduct educational meetings 82% (23/28), develop educational materials, use mass media, involve patients/relatives and families, promote network weaving and stage implementation scale up 79% (22/28), as well as access new funding, promote adaptability, and tailor strategies 75% (21/28). This scoping review shows that implementation strategies of high feasibility and importance were frequently used, suggesting that some strategies may be cross-cutting, but should be contextualized when planned for use in any region.

Abstract
Background Short videos on social media are playing an increasingly important role in cancer health education today. It is important to explore how the actual communication effect of health videos and the knowledge absorption of users are influenced by different factors of the video creation process. Objective The objective of our study is to access the factors influencing breast cancer health education through short videos on efficiency and quality. Methods Three pairs of videos about breast health were created and participants completed questionnaires before and after watching the videos. A paired t-test was used to analyze within-group change scores. RM-ANOVA was used to assess the relationship between the pretest, posttest, and three variables. Results Watching short videos can significantly increase viewers' knowledge of related health topics (p < 0.05). The viewers' concentration level while watching was significantly higher for the video with background music (BGM) than for the video without BGM (p = 0.006). The viewers' willingness to share was significantly higher for the video with a progress bar than for the video without a progress bar (p = 0.02). Using an interpreter wearing a doctor's uniform instead of casual wear and setting a progress bar can significantly improve the efficiency of knowledge absorption (p < 0.05). Conclusion A uniformed interpreter, BGM and a progress bar are factors influencing the efficiency of short health videos. They can be applied in video making to explore better ways of promoting cancer health education in the new mobile Internet environment.

Abstract
Patients receiving stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) may have an anxiety due to unknown aspects of the treatment. We aimed to reduce patient anxiety by using video-based education. Forty patients were divided into 2 groups, with one-to-one information session (n = 20) and one-to-one information session plus video-based education (n = 20). The patients completed the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and visual facial anxiety scale before and after information sessions and after treatment. The setup time and disruptions during treatment sessions were recorded for patients receiving treatment with Novalis® and Cyberknife®, respectively. The patient characteristics and STAI scores before education were similar between groups. The anxiety level was significantly lower in group 1 after treatment (median 38, interquartile range (IQR) 27-45) compared to before (median 43, IQR 36-47) (p = 0.003) and after information sessions (median 42, IQR 36-47) (p = 0.004); however, any difference was not observed in anxiety levels between before and after information sessions (p = 0.317). The anxiety level was significantly lower in group 2 after video-based education (median 25, IQR 22-33) and after treatment (median 25, IQR 20-30) compared to before video-based education (median 35, IQR 31-42) (p < 0.001 for both), while there was no significant difference in anxiety levels between after video-based education and after the treatment (p = 0.407). The interruptions during treatment were observed in 9 (60%) patients in group 1 and 6 (40%) patients in group 2 (p = 0.038). Video-based educations significantly reduce patient anxiety before SRS/SBRT and increase their compliance with the treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Human papillomavirus (HPV) self-sampling has shown to be acceptable and feasible across cultures and effective in reaching women who do not participate in regular cervical cancer screening. However, most of these studies have included younger women. There is a lack of knowledge of how older women reason about HPV self-sampling. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to describe how women (>60 years old) experience the offering of self-sampling of HPV, compared to having a sample collected by a healthcare professional. DESIGN AND PARTICIPANTS The study had a qualitative explorative design. Four focus group discussions were conducted with women 60-69 years old (n = 22). Data were analysed using principles of interpretive description. RESULTS Five themes were identified: self-sampling-convenient and without pain, lack of knowledge, worries related to HPV self-sampling, need for information and taking a societal perspective. CONCLUSION Women aged >60 years found that HPV self-sampling was convenient and easy to perform. Further, they stressed the importance of being able to remain in the screening programme in advanced age and that self-sampling could be a possible solution. This study also revealed a lack of knowledge among women in this age group regarding HPV infection, how the disease is transmitted and its relation to cervical cancer. PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION Women who had performed HPV self-sampling participated in the focus group discussion.

Abstract
Background Cervical cancer is considered preventable disease, though it is the second largest killer of women’s cancer in low and middle-income countries. Despite the government’s attempts to broaden screening facilities, the screening service utilization was poor. Our study evaluated the impact of health education intervention on women’s demand for cervical cancer screening. Methods Community-based cluster-randomized controlled trial was conducted in thirty district towns as clusters in Tigray region, Ethiopia. A total of 700 women aged 20 to 60 years were recruited for both groups using simple random sampling from April to July, 2018. After baseline data collection, health education intervention was given to the intervention group by trained health professionals using power point presentation and peer group discussion at the nearest health institution. The health education was given for three days followed by subsequent consultations for 6 months. The outcome variable was demand of women for cervical cancer screening. The intent-to-treat and per-protocol analysis were considered to evaluate the inflation of the loss to follow-up on effect size. Chi-square test was used to assess the difference of variables between control and intervention groups at baseline data. Finally, difference in difference analysis was used to see the true effect of the intervention on outcome variable. Results A total of 674 participants (340 in intervention and 334 in control groups) were able to complete the follow-up, making a response rate of 96.3%. At baseline, the differences in proportion of all outcome variables in control and intervention groups were not statistically significant. After follow-up, a statistically significant difference between control and intervention groups was observed in the proportion of willingness to screen (p value = 0.000), having plan to screen (p value = 0.000), ever screened (p value = 0.000), and the overall demand for cervical cancer screening (p value = 0.000). Finally, the impact of intervention was explained by the difference in differences in the proportion of willingness to screen (36.6%) (p value < 0.000), having plan to screen (14.6%) (p value < 0.000), ever screened (16.9%) (p value < 0.000), and overall demand for cervical cancer screening (36.9%) (p value < 0.000). Conclusion This study revealed that health education intervention could increase in overall demand of women for cervical cancer screening. Thus, it would be helpful to consider health education in health planning and service provision. Abstract
Background: Vaccination has been recognized as a vital step for containing the COVID-19 outbreak. To ensure the success of immunization efforts as a public health containment measure, a high level of public vaccination compliance is essential. Targeted educational programs can be utilized to improve attitudes toward vaccination and improve the public's uptake of protective measures. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we aimed to evaluate the impact of a concise educational program on perceived knowledge regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, vaccine importance and trust, protection and fear from COVID-19, trust in authorities, as well as individual resilience. Results: The study evaluated 503 participants that completed the questionnaire before and after viewing a concise video tutorial on vaccination. Following the educational program, scores of five variables increased significantly compared to their pre-viewing level: knowledge, personal resilience, trust in authorities, vaccine importance, as well as perceived protection. Those that were vaccinated and/or intend to be vaccinated (N = 394) report higher levels of knowledge, trust in authorities, vaccine importance, vaccine trust, and fear of being infected as compared to those that are unwilling to get vaccinated. Positive significant correlations were found between resilience and trust in authorities (r = 0.169, p < 0.001), vaccine importance (r = 0.098, p = 0.028), and feeling protected (r = 0.310, p < 0.001). Trust in authorities was positively correlated with vaccine importance (r = 0.589, p < 0.001) and vaccine trust (r = 0.177, p < 0.001). Vaccine importance was positively correlated with vaccine trust (r = 0.149, p = 0.001), but not correlated with knowledge score. Conclusion: The findings of the study demonstrate the benefits of educational programs on improving attitudes toward vaccination acceptability. Incorporation of such concise educational programs by authorities may improve uptake of COVID-19 vaccination and help overcome public vaccine hesitancy. We recommend that such a concise and easily implementable educational program be incorporated as a response component to the current and future outbreaks.
