Abstract
As a novel inflammatory marker, Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index (SII) has recently been recognized as a prognostic indicator for a variety of diseases including malignant cancers, coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia, and hepatic steatosis. Carotenoids are a group of abundant lipid-soluble phytochemicals, and studies have suggested that they have antioxidant, antiapoptotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, a systematic analysis of the association between serum carotenoids and SII is still lacking. The purpose of this investigation was to explore the association between serum carotenoid concentration and SII. The cross-sectional investigation included general people (age ≥ 20) with complete information on SII and five different serum carotenoids (Trans-lycopene, β-carotene, α-carotene, lutein/zeaxanthin, and β-cryptoxanthin). Multivariate linear regression analyses were used to evaluate the association between serum carotenoids and SII among general people. The potential non-linear relationship was determined using threshold effect analysis and fitted smoothing curves. Subgroup analysis was performed to explore the potential stratified factors. 15903 participants were enrolled in our investigation. Based on multivariate linear regressions, the highest quartiles of serum carotenoids were found significantly associated with SII compared with the lowest quartiles. The results showed the negative association between SII and the concentration of five different serum carotenoids. According to the non-linear analysis, we found that there are non-linear relationships between β-carotene and trans-lycopene and SII in general people with an inflection point of 6.90 (log2-transformed, ug/dL) and 4.01 (log2-transformed, ug/dL), respectively. The results from subgroup analysis provide several potential moderating effects, such as race, current drinker, and age. This study revealed the relationship between the concentration of several serum carotenoids and SII across the general American population. Further prospective and longitude investigations are needed.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Carotenoids are plant pigments that accumulate in human tissue (e.g. macula and skin) and can serve as biomarkers for diet quality; however, knowledge on skin and macular carotenoids in relation to cognition in children is limited. This study aimed to address this gap by assessing links between skin and macular carotenoids and academic achievement in school-aged children. METHODS Children 7-12 years old (n = 81) participated in a crosssectional study. Skin and macular carotenoids were measured with reflection spectroscopy and heterochromatic flicker photometry, respectively. Academic achievement was measured using Woodcock-Johnson IV (WJ-IV). Body Mass Index was calculated using height and weight measurements, demographic information was collected using a family demographics and pediatric health history questionnaire, and carotenoid intake was assessed using 7-day diet records. RESULTS Skin carotenoids were not related to macular pigment (r = 0.08, p = 0.22). Adjusting for age, sex, BMI percentile, household income, and total carotenoid consumption (mg/1000kcal), skin carotenoids were predictive of math (β = 0.27, p = 0.02), broad math (β = 0.36, p < 0.01) and math calculation (β = 0.38, p < 0.01). Skin carotenoids displayed trending relationships with broad reading (β = 0.23, p = 0.05) and reading fluency (β = 0.22, p = 0.07). There were no significant associations between macular pigment and academic achievement (all β's ≤ 0.07, all p's ≥ 0.56). DISCUSSION Skin carotenoids were positively associated with academic abilities in children, while macular carotenoids did not display this relationship. Future interventions examining prospective effects of changes in carotenoids in different tissues on childhood academic achievement are warranted.

Abstract
Approximately 35% of long-term cancer survivors experience ongoing cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI). Yet, few efficacious interventions exist to prevent or ameliorate CRCI. The underlying biological processes driving CRCI are complex and are reported to include changes in brain structure and function, increased oxidative stress and inflammation, and alterations in gut microbiome composition. Some of the mechanisms promoting CRCI have the potential to be modified through behavioral changes, such as dietary changes. Compelling evidence from randomized controlled trials and observational research supports the positive impacts of the Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay diet on cognition outside of the context of cancer, but studies investigating the Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay diet as an intervention for people who experience CRCI are lacking. This review examines the current state of the science for cognitive outcomes of dietary interventions in aging populations and discusses future opportunities to adapt these interventions to cancer populations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Consumption of tomatoes and tomato carotenoids is associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer. Prostate tissue accumulates tomato carotenoids, including lycopene, β-carotene, and phytoene. Phytoene accumulation is relatively greater in the prostate than that of lycopene, but the metabolic determinants of tissue carotenoid profiles are poorly understood. OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to determine if differences in stability, cellular uptake, and clearance of phytoene compared with lycopene or β-carotene by prostate and intestinal cells may explain differences in observed tissue carotenoid profiles. METHODS Gene and protein expression for carotenoid metabolism in prostate cell lines were analyzed by qRT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. Uptake, efflux, and clearance of phytoene, lycopene, or β-carotene by prostate cell [LNCaP (Lymph Node Carcinoma of the Prostate cell line), RWPE-1 (a human prostate epithelial cell line), and PC-3 (aprostate cancer cell line)] and absorptive enterocyte (Caco-2) cultures were compared. The effect of scavenger receptor class B member 1 (SCARB1) inhibition on carotenoid uptake by LNCaP, RWPE-1, and Caco-2 cells was tested. RESULTS SCARB1 was expressed across prostate cell lines. Lycopene, phytoene, and β-carotene uptakes were similar in LNCaP and PC-3 cells, whereas RWPE-1 cells absorbed a smaller portion of the phytoene dose than lycopene or β-carotene doses. The clearance rates of carotenoids from LNCaP cells did not differ. Intestinal cell uptake of phytoene was greatest, followed by β-carotene and lycopene. SCARBI inhibitor treatment did not significantly reduce the uptake or efflux of carotenoids by LNCaP or Caco-2 cells at the dose concentration provided. CONCLUSIONS Overall, this study suggests that greater bioavailability at the point of the intestine and greater stability of phytoene are determinants of the relative enrichment of phytoene in prostate tissue.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Reflection spectroscopy, utilized by the Veggie Meter, is a less-expensive, noninvasive method to quantify skin carotenoids and is a valid approximation of fruit and vegetable (FV) intake. However, it is unknown to what degree Veggie Meter-assessed skin carotenoid score change is responsive to changes in carotenoid intake. OBJECTIVES This study aimed to evaluate Veggie Meter-assessed skin carotenoid score response in a 6-wk randomized controlled trial of a carotenoid-containing juice to determine whether the Veggie Meter can be used to detect nutritionally relevant changes in carotenoid intake; and to compare skin and plasma carotenoid responses with the 6-wk trial. METHODS In this 6-wk trial, participants (n = 162) who self-identified as one of 4 US racial/ethnic groups (25% Black, 25% Asian, 27% non-Hispanic White, 23% Hispanic) were randomized to a control group, receiving negligible carotenoids (177 mL apple juice/d), moderate-dose group, receiving 4 mg total carotenoids/d (177 mL orange-carrot juice/d), or high-dose group, receiving 8 mg total carotenoids/d (355 mL orange-carrot juice/d). Skin carotenoid score and plasma total carotenoid concentrations (α-carotene, β-carotene, β-cryptoxanthin, lycopene, lutein, zeaxanthin) were assessed at baseline, 3 wk, and 6 wk (n = 158 completed the trial). Repeated measures linear models were used to examine skin and plasma carotenoids over time and between groups. RESULTS At 6 wk, participants in the high-dose and moderate-dose groups had significantly higher mean skin carotenoid scores [414.0 (SD = 100.6) and 369.7 (SD = 100.3), respectively] compared with those in the control group [305.2 (100.5)]. In the high-dose group, there was a 42% change in skin carotenoids from baseline (mean = 290.4) to a 6-wk follow-up (increase of 123, 123/290 = 42.4%). There was a 61% change in the plasma carotenoids in the high-dose group. CONCLUSIONS The Veggie Meter is sensitive to increases in daily carotenoid intake in diverse racial/ethnic groups over 6 wk. Abstract
BACKGROUND Skin carotenoid measurement by reflection spectroscopy (RS) offers a noninvasive biomarker of carotenoid intake, but feasibility, reliability, and validity are not established in infants. OBJECTIVES In this study we aimed to determine the feasibility and reliability of 4-mo-old infant skin carotenoid score (SCS) measurement and its correlation with total carotenoid intake and plasma concentrations. METHODS SCSs were measured in a prospective, observational study with a modified, portable RS device at the index finger and heel of the foot in 4-mo-olds (n = 21). Infant plasma, human milk, and formula carotenoid concentrations were measured by HPLC-photodiode array, and carotenoid intake was estimated from 7-d food diaries corrected for actual milk carotenoid content. Mean SCS, time to acquire measurements, replicate intraclass correlations, and bivariate correlations between SCS, carotenoid intake, and plasma carotenoids were examined. Exploratory analyses of returning 6- (n = 12) and 8-mo-old (n = 9) infants were conducted. RESULTS Mean ± SD finger and heel SCSs in 4-, 6-, and 8-mo-olds were 92 ± 57 and 92 ± 51; 109 ± 41 and 119 ± 44; and 161 ± 89 and 197 ± 128 units, respectively. Replicate SCS measurements were reliable, with high intraclass correlation (≥0.70) of within-subject visit measurements. Finger SCSs in 4-mo-olds were correlated with carotenoid intake (ρ = 0.48, P = 0.0033), and finger and heel SCS were correlated with total plasma carotenoid concentrations (ρ = 0.71, P < 0.0001 and ρ = 0.57, P = 0.0006, respectively). Eight-mo-olds' finger and heel SCSs were correlated with total carotenoid intake (ρ = 0.73, P < 0.001; ρ = 0.58, P = 0.0014, respectively), whereas SCSs in 6-mo-olds, in transition from exclusive milk to complementary feeding, did not correlate with plasma carotenoid or dietary carotenoids, despite correlation between plasma and dietary carotenoid intake (ρ = 0.86, P = 0.0137). Mixed models suggest plasma total carotenoid concentration, age, carotenoid intake, and age × carotenoid intake, but not measurement site, are determinants of infant SCS. CONCLUSIONS Infant skin carotenoids are feasibly and reliably measured by RS and may provide a biomarker of carotenoid intake in 4-mo-olds. Abstract
This scoping review was designed to synthesize the extant literature on associations between subjective and/or objective measures of cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) and blood-based biomarkers in adults with non-central nervous system cancers. The literature search was done for studies published from the start of each database searched (i.e., MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, grey literature) through to October 20, 2021. A total of 95 studies are included in this review. Of note, a wide variety of biomarkers were evaluated. Most studies evaluated patients with breast cancer. A variety of cognitive assessment measures were used. The most consistent significant findings were with various subjective and objective measures of CRCI and levels of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor. Overall, biomarker research is in an exploratory phase. However, this review synthesizes findings and proposes directions for future research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Serum antioxidant vitamins and carotenoids may protect against neurodegeneration with age. We examined associations of these nutritional biomarkers with incident all-cause and Alzheimer disease (AD) dementia among US middle-aged and older adults. METHODS Using data from the third National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (1988-1994), linked with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid follow-up data, we tested associations and interactions of serum vitamins A, C, and E and total and individual serum carotenoids and interactions with incident AD and all-cause dementia. Cox proportional hazards regression models were conducted. RESULTS After ≤26 years follow-up (mean 16-17 years, 7,283 participants aged 45-90 years at baseline), serum lutein+zeaxanthin was associated with reduced risk of all-cause dementia (65+ age group), even in the lifestyle-adjusted model (per SD: hazard ratio [HR] 0.93, 95% CI 0.87-0.99; p = 0.037), but attenuated in comparison with a socioeconomic status (SES)-adjusted model (HR 0.92, 95% CI 0.86-0.93; p = 0.013). An inverse relationship was detected between serum β-cryptoxanthin (per SD increase) and all-cause dementia (45+ and 65+) for age- and sex-adjusted models (HR 0.86, 95% CI 0.80-0.93; p < 0.001 for 45+; HR 0.86, 95% CI 0.80-0.93; p = 0.001 for 65+), a relationship remaining strong in SES-adjusted models (HR 0.89, 95% CI 0.82-0.96; p = 0.006 for 45+; HR 0.88, 95% CI 0.81-0.96; p = 0.007 for 65+), but attenuated in subsequent models. Antagonistic interactions indicate putative protective effects of 1 carotenoid may be observed at lower levels other carotenoids or antioxidant vitamin. DISCUSSION Incident all-cause dementia was inversely associated with serum lutein+zeaxanthin and β-cryptoxanthin levels. Further studies with time-dependent exposures and randomized trials are needed to test neuroprotective effects of supplementing the diet with select carotenoids. CLASSIFICATION OF EVIDENCE This study provides Class II evidence that incident all-cause dementia was inversely associated with serum lutein+zeaxanthin and β-cryptoxanthin levels.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women worldwide. Over the years, oxidative stress has been linked to the onset and progression of cancer. In addition to the classical histological classification, breast carcinomas are classified into phenotypes according to hormone receptors (estrogen receptor-RE-/progesterone receptor-PR) and growth factor receptor (human epidermal growth factor receptor-HER2) expression. Luminal tumors (ER/PR-positive/HER2-negative) are present in older patients with a better outcome. However, patients with HER2-positive or triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) (ER/PR/HER2-negative) subtypes still represent highly aggressive behavior, metastasis, poor prognosis, and drug resistance. Therefore, new alternative therapies have become an urgent clinical need. In recent years, anticancer agents based on natural products have been receiving huge interest. In particular, carotenoids are natural compounds present in fruits and vegetables, but algae, bacteria, and archaea also produce them. The antioxidant properties of carotenoids have been studied during the last years due to their potential in preventing and treating multiple diseases, including cancer. Although the effect of carotenoids on breast cancer during in vitro and in vivo studies is promising, clinical trials are still inconclusive. The haloarchaeal carotenoid bacterioruberin holds great promise to the future of biomedicine due to its particular structure, and antioxidant activity. However, much work remains to be performed to draw firm conclusions. This review summarizes the current knowledge on pre-clinical and clinical analysis on the use of carotenoids as chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic agents in breast cancer, highlighting the most recent results regarding the use of bacterioruberin from haloarchaea.

Abstract
OPINION STATEMENT One of the most burdensome symptoms reported by breast cancer patients is chemotherapy-related neurocognitive impairment. It is estimated that of the 11 million cancer survivors in the USA, 22% of them are breast cancer patients. The National Cancer Institute classified chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) as one of the most debilitating sequelae of cancer therapy, limiting this patient population from recommencing their lives prior to the diagnosis of breast cancer. Currently, there are no strategies that are established to prevent, mitigate, or treat CRCI. In addition to surviving cancer, quality of life is critical to cancer survivors. Based on the multiple and complex biological and psychosocial etiology, the varying manifestation and extent of cognitive decline documented in breast cancer survivors, possibly attributed to varying combinations of chemotherapy and dose and duration of therapy, multimodal interventions combining promising nutrient-derived bioactive compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, in addition to structured cognitive training and exercise regimens, can work synergistically to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress with significant improvement in cognitive function resulting in improvements in quality of life of breast cancer survivors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Minorities, including mainland Puerto Ricans, are impacted disproportionally by Alzheimer's disease (AD), dementia, and cognitive decline. Studying blood metabolomics in this population has the potential to probe the biological underpinnings of this health disparity. OBJECTIVE We performed a comprehensive analysis of circulating plasma metabolites in relation to cognitive function in 736 participants from the Boston Puerto Rican Health Study (BPRHS) who underwent untargeted mass-spectrometry based metabolomics analysis and had undergone a battery of in-person cognitive testing at baseline. METHODS After relevant exclusions, 621 metabolites were examined. We used multivariable regression, adjusted for age, sex, education, apolipoprotein E genotype, smoking, and Mediterranean dietary pattern, to identify metabolites related to global cognitive function in our cohort. LASSO machine learning was used in a complementary analysis to identify metabolites that could discriminate good from poor extremes of cognition. We also conducted sensitivity analyses: restricted to participants without diabetes, and to participants with good adherence to Mediterranean diet. RESULTS Of 621 metabolites, FDR corrected (p < 0.05) multivariable linear regression identified 3 metabolites positively, and 10 negatively, associated with cognitive function in the BPRHS. In a combination of FDR-corrected linear regression, logistic regression regularized via LASSO, and sensitivity analyses restricted to participants without diabetes, and with good adherence to the Mediterranean diet, β-cryptoxanthin plasma concentration was consistently associated with better cognitive function and N-acetylisoleucine and tyramine O-sulfate concentrations were consistently associated with worse cognitive function. CONCLUSION This untargeted metabolomics study identified potential biomarkers for cognitive function in a cohort of Puerto Rican older adults.

Abstract
Recent evidence suggests that diet can modify the risk of future cognitive impairment and dementia. A biologically plausible rationale and initial clinical data indicate that the antioxidant activities of dietary carotenoids may assist the preservation of cognitive function. A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials was conducted to examine the relationship between carotenoid supplementation and cognitive performance. A literature search was conducted in the MEDLINE (via PubMed), Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases from their inception to July 2020. A total of 435 studies were retrieved. Abstract screening using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria was followed by full-text screening and data extraction of study characteristics and measured outcomes. A meta-analysis of eligible trials was performed using a random-effects model to estimate pooled effect size. We identified 9 studies with a total of 4402 nondemented subjects, whose age ranged from 45 to 78 years. Results of the pooled meta-analysis found a significant effect of carotenoid intervention on cognitive outcomes (Hedge’s g = 0.14; 95% confidence interval: 0.08, 0.20, p < 0.0001). There was no evidence of heterogeneity among the studies (τ2 = 0.00, I2 = 0.00%, H2 = 1.00) or publication bias. Although further studies are needed, our results suggest that carotenoid interventions are associated with better cognitive performance. Thus, these dietary compounds may help to reduce the risk of cognitive impairment and dementia.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer and the leading cause of cancer death in women. Oxidative stress and the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) have been related to cancer progression. Compared to their normal counterparts, tumor cells show higher ROS levels and tight regulation of REDOX homeostasis to maintain a low degree of oxidative stress. Traditionally antioxidants have been extensively investigated to counteract breast carcinogenesis and tumor progression as chemopreventive agents; however, there is growing evidence indicating their potential as adjuvants for the treatment of breast cancer. Aimed to elucidate whether antioxidants could be a reality in the management of breast cancer patients, this review focuses on the latest investigations regarding the ambivalent role of antioxidants in the development of breast cancer, with special attention to the results derived from clinical trials, as well as their potential use as plausible agents in combination therapy and their power to ameliorate the side effects attributed to standard therapeutics. Data retrieved herein suggest that antioxidants play an important role in breast cancer prevention and the improvement of therapeutic efficacy; nevertheless, appropriate patient stratification based on "redoxidomics" or tumor subtype is mandatory in order to define the dosage for future standardized and personalized treatments of patients.

Abstract
It is suspected that diet influences the risk of developing breast cancer. Several β-carotenoids have been inversely associated with breast cancer risk, but association by type of tumor and participant characteristics remain nuclear. The objective of this review of epidemiological studies is to investigate the relationship between β-carotenoids and breast cancer. This review covers the 2014-2020 period and was carried out using the PubMed and EMBASE databases. Only epidemiological studies carried out on β-carotenoids and breast cancer were included. The initial keyword search yielded 1559 results and finally a total of 28 studies were included. The quality of the articles and the risk of bias for each included article were assessed. The selected articles were subsequently classified according to their quality. The evidence from the included studies confirms that there is an association between β-carotenoids and breast cancer risk; the dietary intake of β-carotenoids may be beneficial in reducing the risk of developing breast cancer.

Abstract
Carotenoids may strengthen the association of antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E with favorable cognitive outcomes over time, though a few prospective studies have examined this hypothesis. We evaluated the longitudinal data from 1251 participants in the Healthy Aging in Neighborhoods of Diversity across the Life Span (HANDLS) study (Age at visit 1 in 2004–2009 (v1): 30–65 years). Vitamins A, C, and E dietary intakes and total and individual dietary carotenoids were computed using two 24-h recalls at v1. Cognitive tests, covering global mental status and domains of memory/learning, attention, psychomotor speed, visuo-spatial, language/verbal, and executive function were conducted at v1 and/or v2 (2009–2013); mean ± SD follow-up: 4.66 ± 0.93 years. Mixed-effects linear regression models detected an interaction between vitamin E and total (and individual) carotenoids for three of 11 cognitive tests at v1, with only one meeting the statistical significance upon multiple testing correction whereby vitamin E was linked with greater verbal memory performance in the uppermost total carotenoid tertile (γ0a = +0.26 ± 0.08, p = 0.002), a synergism largely driven by carotenoid lycopene. Vitamins A and C showed no consistent interactions with carotenoids. In conclusion, we provide partial evidence for synergism between vitamin E and carotenoids in relation to better baseline cognitive performance, pending further studies with time-dependent exposures and randomized trials directly examining this synergism.

Abstract
There are various cancer treatments at present, and chemotherapy is one of the main methods. Chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (CRCI), as one of the side effects of chemotherapy, has gradually attracted the attention of more and more researchers. CRCI has been verified by subjective reports and objective neuropsychological tests so far. But oncologists' understanding of it and its treatments are still incomplete. In this review, we mainly give a comprehensive overview of the mechanism of CRCI, then describe a variety of evaluation methods, and finally summarize the treatment approaches under current medical conditions and compare it with an excellent article published in 2015 with the aim of providing directions for future research and better understanding of CRCI for clinicians.

Abstract
Home cooking programs are an increasingly popular approach to nutrition education and have the potential to promote diet quality among pediatric cancer survivors. A cornerstone of many programs is the use of fresh fruits and vegetables, which may support increased intake of many food components, including carotenoids, to improve survivor health. However, most dietary carotenoids in the United States currently come from processed vegetables, and it is unclear if the emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables common in cooking education programs is associated with the total carotenoid content of meals. The objective of this analysis is to examine the relationship between fresh produce usage, practices commonly taught in healthy home cooking classes, and the carotenoid content of prepared meals among 40 parents with school-aged children. This is a secondary analysis of an observational study examining the quality of home cooking practices using an evidence-based index of behaviors, the Healthy Cooking Index (HCI). Nutrition-optimizing cooking practices, as quantified by the HCI, were not associated with the carotenoid content of meals (r = −0.24, p = 0.13). Further, total fruit and vegetable content of meals was not associated with total carotenoids (r = 0.14; p = 0.38), indicating heterogeneity in the carotenoid profiles of foods used by this population. High-carotenoid meals tended to use more canned and/or frozen tomato and vegetable products, and carotenoid content was associated with meals with sugar (r = 0.32; p = 0.04), and servings of refined grains (r = 0.49; p < 0.01). Our findings indicate an opportunity to educate pediatric cancer survivors and families on the incorporation of high-carotenoid food products while reducing refined grain and sweetener intake through a tailored home cooking intervention.

Abstract
PURPOSE To perform a systematic review identifying how dietary factors are related to cognitive function in cancer survivors who are not currently undergoing primary treatment. METHODS Using the PRISMA framework, a search was conducted for studies published before February 2019 across multiple databases, identifying 2304 unique articles. Twelve met final inclusion criteria and were evaluated through narrative synthesis. This review was registered with the International Prospective Register Of Systematic Reviews (CRD42018111941). RESULTS Included studies were heterogeneous in methodology and in dietary and cognitive variables investigated making direct comparisons difficult. Evidence of a relationship between diet and cognition was mixed; the most consistent evidence was identified in relation to a positive relationship between fruit and vegetable intake and cognitive function (both self-reported and objectively tested) in five out of six studies, but was not concordant across all studies. CONCLUSION Preliminary evidence exists that a greater fruit and vegetable intake is associated with better cognitive functioning in cancer survivors, as has been reported in healthy populations; however, these data are correlational and include relatively small samples. Most evidence related to breast cancer survivors, with individual studies extending to colorectal and stomach cancer survivors. Experimental trials are needed to identify causal attribution of dietary factors on cognitive function in cancer survivors. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS At this time, there is not sufficient evidence to make dietary or nutritional recommendations specifically for improving cognitive function in cancer survivors. This should be considered in light of the general paucity of research on this subject, necessitating further investigations.
