Abstract
OBJECTIVES to assess the physical and mental components of nursing professionals' quality of life and associate them with individual, health and work characteristics. METHODS cross-sectional research, with nursing professionals from a university hospital in São Paulo. Own questionnaire and validated instruments were applied. RESULTS the overall quality of life was compromised. The physical component was lower in relation to low family income and among those who perceived greater control/pressure at work, and better for those who practiced physical activity and had support of leader and organization. The mental component was lower in professionals who reported dissatisfaction with work, worse self-rated physical health and were older. Scores for both components reduced due to work-related illnesses, worse work ability and increased daytime sleepiness. CONCLUSIONS quality of life was statistically associated with controllable institutional factors and individual resources that, except age, can be promoted.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To estimate the prevalence and analyze factors associated with inadequate work ability among community health workers (CHWs). METHODS This was a cross-sectional study conducted with CHWs, from July to October 2018, in Montes Claros, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil; work ability, sociodemographic, occupational, and clinical factors were investigated; prevalence ratios (PRs) with 95% confidence intervals (95%CI) were calculated using Poisson regression. RESULTS Of the 675 CHWs, 25.8% (95%CI 22.7;29.2) showed inadequate work ability; length of service greater than five years (PR = 1.64; 95%CI 1.24;2.18), poor health status (PR = 2.10; 95%CI 1.56;2.83), depressive symptoms (PR = 1.98; 95%CI 1.54;2.55) and voice disorders (PR = 1.85; 95%CI 1.26;2.73) were associated with the event. CONCLUSION There was a high prevalence of inadequate work ability, associated with occupational and clinical factors. MAIN RESULTS There was a high prevalence of inadequate work ability among community health workers (CHWs), associated with occupational and clinical factors. IMPLICATIONS FOR SERVICES This study can contribute to the planning of preventive actions and the promotion of the work ability of CHWs, with repercussions on the quality of service provided by these professionals. PERSPECTIVES Longitudinal studies are strongly recommended in order to establish cause-and-effect relationships between the variables investigated.

Abstract
This paper investigates the levels of occupational stress and work engagement among military police officers. This cross-sectional, descriptive, and analytical study was conducted with 268 police officers from the 3rd Military Police Battalion of Paraná state. We observed significant levels of occupational stress in 125 (46.7%) police officers. The main stressors were lack of career growth prospects (3.7; ±1.3); inadequate training (3.4; ±1.2); discrimination/favoritism in the work environment (3.1; ±1.4); long working hours (3.0; ±1.4); distribution of tasks (2.7; ±1.1); control type (2.7; ±1.1); gaps in disclosing information about organizational decisions (2.7; ±1.2); low valuation (2.7; ±1.2). Levels of work engagement ranged from 3.8 [medium] to 4.1 [high]. The correlation between occupational stress and work engagement was low for the dimensions of Absorption (r: -.284; p<0.001) and Overall Score (r: -0.393; p<0.001) and moderate for the dimensions Vigor (r: -0.422; p<0.001) and Dedication (r: -0.414; p<0.001). We concluded that an important number of police officers had shown occupational stress. However, they displayed good levels of work engagement and are enthusiastic, inspired, and proud of their work.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the knowledge and use of personal protective equipment by nursing professionals of Primary Health Care during the Covid-19 pandemic. METHOD This is an exploratory study of a non-probabilistic sample developed in Basic Health Units in the city of Picos, Piauí, Brazil. Data were collected between June and August 2020, by phone call, following a semi-structured script, with responses recording and transcription. For material analysis, the software IRaMuTeQ was used for statistical textual analyses: Descending Hierarchical Classification, similarity analysis, and word cloud. RESULTS From the corpus of 6,873 words and 832 lexical units, three categories were created: (1) motivations and barriers for use (20.9%); (2) handling of personal protective equipment (classes 5 and 4) with 25% and 21.6%, respectively, and (3) measures to protect users and health professionals (classes 3 and 5) with 17.6% and 14.9%. CONCLUSION The nursing professionals interviewed demonstrated that they did not have sufficient knowledge for the proper use of the equipment, which could compromise their integrity and that of the patient as a subject who receives unsafe care.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Assess levels of career commitment and career entrenchment among Primary Health Care workers. METHODS This Cross-sectional study addressed 393 workers using the Brazilian versions of the Career Commitment Measure (CCM) and Career Entrenchment Measure (CEM). RESULTS Levels of Career commitment [75.5-77.5] were higher (p<0.001) than Career Entrenchment [66.7-69.2]. Identity levels [82.7-85.5] were higher (p<0.001) than Investment levels [60.4-65.0]. Career resilience levels [75.1-79.2] were higher (p<0.001) than Emotional costs [69.0-72.1]. Planning levels [64.2-67.1] were lower (p<0.001) than levels of limitedness of career alternatives [68.1-71.0]. CONCLUSION The highest scores were obtained in Career commitment, showing the workers' identification and positive relationship with their careers, that is, these workers remain in Primary Health Care services because they identify themselves with their professions.
