Abstract
Achieving an anatomical reduction in acetabular fracture is essential but may also be challenging. Most of complex fractures are treated with anterior approaches without direct visualization of the acetabular surface. In this paper, we present the surgical technique for arthroscopic assistance during open reduction and fixation for complex acetabular fractures. To our knowledge, this technique has not been described in the literature yet.

Abstract
Background This study aimed to access the radiologic and clinical outcomes after arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation with screws in patients with posterior wall fractures of the acetabulum. Methods From May 2013 to December 2019, 13 patients (11 men and 2 women) with posterior wall fractures of the acetabulum were treated with arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation with screws at two medical centers. The mean age at the index operation was 39 years (range, 22-58 years). The mean duration of follow-up was 23 months (range, 12-46 months). Clinical assessment was performed using the modified Merle d'Aubigné and Postel functional scoring system. The maximum displacement of acetabular or femoral head fragments detected on radiographs was used as radiographic results. Secondary osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis, or heterotrophic ossification was assessed at the latest follow-up. Results Bony union was shown at 12 weeks of follow-up in all patients. The radiologic outcomes showed an anatomical reduction in 11 patients and a satisfactory reduction in 2 patients. The modified Merle d'Aubigné and Postel functional score was excellent in 7 patients, good in 5 patients, and fair in 1 patient. Two patients had transient pudendal nerve palsy after hip arthroscopy. However, no sciatic nerve palsy occurred. At the latest follow-up, there was no heterotopic ossification, osteonecrosis of the femoral head, or posttraumatic osteoarthritis. Conclusions Arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation with cannulated screws can be good alternative options with good radiographic and clinical outcomes, convenient removal of intra-articular loose body, and low complication rates.

Abstract
Posterior wall fractures are the most common type of acetabular fractures. Treatment can be conservative or surgical. Operative treatment is indicated for acetabular fractures that result in hip joint instability and/or incongruity, as well injuries with incarceration of fragments of bone or soft tissue within the hip joint. Surgical treatment can range from open reduction and osteosynthesis to hip arthroplasty. Arthroscopy has recently been used as the main surgical technique or as a reduction aid. In this case a 26-year-old male with a fracture of the posterior wall who underwent a posterior miniinvasive approach, followed by hip arthroscopy. This allowed joint wash, removal of the loose body, confirmation of reduction and absence of intra-articular hardware. Excellent clinical and radiological results were obtained. This case demonstrates the advantage of using hip arthroscopy in assessment of fracture reduction, the absence of intra-articular hardware or fragments, as well as a less invasive approach.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Posterior wall fracture is the most common type of acetabular fracture, the traditional open reduction and fixation through the Kocher-Langenbeck approach required a large incision and extensive muscle and soft tissue dissection, resulting in more blood loss, more complications and delayed recovery after the operation. Hip arthroscopy has been widely used in clinical practice but rarely reported in acetabular fractures. CASE PRESENTATION We present the case of a 14-year-old boy with acetabular posterior wall fracture who was treated with hip arthroscopy reduction and fixation using anchors. He began to walk with partial weight-bearing assisted by double crutches, and returned to school with crutches at 3 days after surgery. Although hip arthroscopy is technically more demanding, it's an optimal choice for selected patients of acetabular fracture with the advantages of less invasive and faster postoperative recovery.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to present the results of an unusual surgical technique for the treatment of posterior wall acetabular fractures. A 49-year-old man presented to the emergency department after a fall from three meters. His X-rays revealed a right acetabular posterior wall fracture. He was treated with arthroscopic reduction and fixation using a cannulated screw through arthroscopic portals. The patient was allowed partial weight-bearing immediately and had a satisfactory outcome. In selected cases, arthroscopic reduction and fixation in acetabular posterior wall fractures could be a good surgical option with the advantages of simultaneous labral treatments and loose body removal.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nonconcentric reduction of hip posterior dislocation caused by the acetabular labrum rim fracture is rare. There has been very little study on the feasibility of arthroscopically treatment and medium and mid-term evaluation to this pathology. The objectives of the current study were: (1) Is the arthroscopically assisted technique feasible to this manage this injury? (2) What is the effectiveness of arthroscopic treatment for nonconcentric reduction of hip posterior dislocation caused by acetabular labrum rim fracture. HYPOTHESIS Arthroscopically assisted procedure is an alternative treatment modality for nonconcentric reduction of hip posterior dislocation caused by acetabular labrum rim fracture. PATIENTS AND METHODS Thirteen of 257 posterior hip dislocations who were admitted to our hospital from February 2008 to March 2017 were included: 9 males and 4 females, with an average age of 23.7 (15-36) years. All of them underwent hip posterior dislocation and nonconcentric reduction related to acetabular labrum rim fracture. All of them had arthroscopic reduction and fixation of the rim fracture. Visual Analogic Score (VAS) score, modified Harris score, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) score and the last follow-up radiographs were analyzed respectively. Postoperative complication and the need for secondary operation were recorded during the process. RESULTS The incidence rate of this pathology was nearly 5%. Twelve out of 13 patients were followed up for an average of 42 (range, 26-68) months. At the final follow-up, VAS score was decreased from 5.2±0.9 (range, 4.0-6.1) preoperatively to 0.5±0.5 (range, 0.0-1.0) (p<0.0001), modified Harris score and WOMAC score were increased statistically significant from 32±8 (range, 28-40) and 30±5 (range, 25-35) to 94±5 (range, 89-99) and 95±4 (range, 91-99) respectively (p<0.0001). All patients have had completely concentric reduction and returned to activities of daily life. There was not any hip arthroscopic complication such as sciatic nerve injury and intra-abdominal fluid extravasation. Besides, there were no aseptic necrosis and revision case. CONCLUSION Arthroscopically assisted procedure is an alternative treatment modality for nonconcentric reduction of hip posterior dislocation caused by the acetabular labrum rim fracture without surgical dislocation procedure. Good clinical results can be achieved without any complications related to the surgical procedure. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE Level IV, therapeutic case series.

Abstract
Although surgical techniques for treating acetabular fracture are evolving, the use of periacetabular screws is common, and their placement in acetabular surgery is still technically demanding. For instance, intraarticular screw perforation is a serious complication that may occur during surgical treatment of an acetabular fracture. Here, we describe the case of a 50-year-old female who experienced an intraarticular screw perforation after surgical treatment of a posterior acetabular wall fracture. Removal of the perforated screw was performed arthroscopically based on its ability to offer minimally invasive access to the hip joint. One year after removal of the screw, no radiological signs of osteoarthritic changes were observed. The patient regained normal ambulation without limitations to range of motion or hip pain. To our knowledge, this is the first report on the use of arthroscopy to treat intraarticular screw perforation after surgical treatment of an acetabular fracture.
