Abstract
A multi-step procedure was effectively employed to synthesize innovative three-dimensional (3D) heterostructures encompassing sodium titanate (Na2Ti3O7) nanowire cores, an intermediate resorcinol-formaldehyde (RF) layer, and outer silver (Ag) nanoparticle sheaths, referred to as Na2Ti3O7@RF@Ag heterostructures. Initially, a one-step hydrothermal technique facilitated the direct growth of single-crystal Na2Ti3O7 nanowires onto a flexible Ti foil. Subsequently, a two-step wet chemical process facilitated the sequential deposition of an RF layer and Ag nanoparticles onto the Na2Ti3O7 nanowires at a low reaction temperature. Optimal concentrations of silver nitrate and L-ascorbic acid can lead to the cultivation of Na2Ti3O7@RF@Ag heterostructures exhibiting heightened surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), which is particularly beneficial for the detection of rhodamine B (RhB) molecules. This phenomenon can be ascribed to the distinctive geometry of the Na2Ti3O7@RF@Ag heterostructures, which offer an increased number of hot spots and surface-active sites, thereby showcasing notable SERS enhancement, commendable reproducibility, and enduring stability over the long term. Furthermore, the Na2Ti3O7@RF@Ag heterostructures demonstrate remarkable follow-up as first-order chemical kinetic and recyclable photocatalysts for the photodecomposition of an RhB solution under UV light irradiation. This result can be attributed to the enhanced inhibition of electron-hole pair recombination and increased surface-active sites.

Abstract
The development of a facile surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) sensor for the on-site detection of trace molecules in liquid phase is a compelling need. In this paper, a three-dimensional (3D) dendritic Au–Ag nanostructure was constructed by a two-step electro displacement reaction in a capillary tube for the on-site liquid phase detection of trace molecules. The multiplasmon resonance mechanism of the dendritic Au–Ag structure was simulated using the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method. It was confirmed that the highly branched 3D structure promoted the formation of high-density “hot spots” and interacted with the gold nanoparticles at the dendrite tip, gap, and surface to maximize the spatial electric field, which allowed for high signal intensification to be observed. More importantly, the unique structure of the capillary made it possible to achieve the on-site detection of trace molecules in liquids. Using Rhodamine 6G (R6G) solution as a model molecule, the 3D dendritic Au–Ag substrate exhibited a high detection sensitivity (10−13 mol/L). Furthermore, the developed sensor was applied to the detection of antibacterial agents, ciprofloxacin (CIP), with clear Raman characteristic peaks observed even at concentrations as low as 10−9 mol/L. The results demonstrated that the 3D dendritic Au–Ag sensor could successfully realize the rapid on-site SERS detection of trace molecules in liquids, providing a promising platform for ultrasensitive and on-site liquid sample analysis.

Abstract
In this article, a facile, one-step method for the formation of silver thin-film nanostructures on the surface of Al2O3 substrates using the hydrothermal method is proposed. The dependence of the SERS effect intensity of the formed films during the detection of methylene blue (MB) low concentrations on the synthesis conditions, additional temperature treatment, and laser radiation wavelength (532 and 780 nm) in comparison with similar dye films on commercial SERS substrates is shown. The detection limit of the analyte used for the indicated lasers is estimated. The effect of the synthesis temperature on the particle size, crystal structure, and microstructure features of the obtained thin films based on silver nanoparticles is demonstrated. Using spreading resistance microscopy, the interface between the substrate and Ag particles is studied, and the dependence of the size of the corresponding gap between them and the nature of microstructural defects on the parameters of hydrothermal treatment of reaction systems in the presence of Al2O3 substrates is shown. As a result of the study, the factors associated with the properties of the obtained SERS substrates and the parameters of recording the spectra, which affect the amplification factor of the spectral lines intensity of the analyte, are revealed.

Abstract
Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a non-destructive and ultrasensitive detection tool used for a variety of contaminants in recent years. In this paper, we synthesized a multifunctional Ag2CO3 nanocomposite for a sensitive SERS detection and photodegradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) dye. The proposed Ag2CO3 substrate was characterized using XRD, UV-vis, FESEM, EDX and TEM techniques. Ag2CO3 exhibited a strong SERS sensitivity with a detection limit of 10-11 M and good reproducibility for the detection of RhB molecules. The degradation efficiency of Ag2CO3 under visible light irradiation was found to be 95%. The SERS and photocatalysis mechanisms were proposed considering the charge-transfer paths between the substrate and RhB molecules. Additionally, an excellent reusability property of Ag2CO3 microcrystals was observed for SERS detection due to its catalytic activity. This work explores the potential usability of Ag2CO3 substrate as a promising candidate for detection and photodegradation applications.
