Eccrine Nevus on the Neck: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

Eccrine nevus is an extremely rare benign cutaneous hamartoma that usually occurs in childhood and adolescence. It has a wide range of clinical manifestations, and histological findings reveal a proliferation of structurally normal eccrine ducts. Herein, we present a case of eccrine nevus on the neck of an 8-year-old girl. Our literature review reveals that the head and neck region is a rare anatomical location for eccrine nevus as it has a predilection for extremities. Our review also suggests that overlying skin changes are common in eccrine nevus regardless of accompanying localized hyperhidrosis.

Eccrine Nevus in the Forearm of a 16-Year-Old Presenting as Unilateral Hyperhidrosis: A Clinicopathological Correlation Paradigm

A case of a purely eccrine nevus in an adolescent patient presenting with focal hyperhidrosis on an area comprising the left forearm and the dorsal aspect of the left hand is described. No clinically evident lesions were identifiable. Dermatopathologic findings were subtle, showing only a slight increase in the number of eccrine glands. Clinicopathological correlation was paramount to achieve the diagnosis.

Eccrine nevus presenting as a perianal skin tag: a case report and review of the literature

We present the case of a 9-year-old girl with a perianal skin tag. This asymptomatic lesion was removed for cosmetic reasons and demonstrated a polypoid lesion with a slightly acanthotic epidermis. The dermis was filled with mature-appearing eccrine ducts and glands but with no other cutaneous appendages, adipocytes, or abnormal vascularity. We believe this to represent a polypoid eccrine nevus and that its presentation is unique.
