Abstract
The synthesis in 4 steps of new N,N'-bis(5-arylidene-4-oxo-3,5-dihydro-4H-imidazol-2-yl)diamines issued from various symmetric primary diamines as linkers was reported. The key step of our strategy has been the sulphur/nitrogen displacement of (5Z)-5-arylidene-2-ethylsulfanyl-3,5-dihydro-4H-imidazol-4-ones 6 with respectively ethylenediamine 7a, piperazine 7b and N,N'-bis(3-aminopropyl)piperazine 7c using solvent-free reaction conditions under microwave irradiation with retention of configuration. These compounds were tested for their kinase inhibitory potencies toward four kinases (GSK-3α/β, DYRK1A, CLK1 and CLK3).

Abstract
A practical protocol for the preparation of a parallel solution-phase library of 5-arylidene imidazolone is reported. Target compounds were obtained in good yield, stereoselectively, and purity by one-pot domino reaction from various thiohydantoines, arylaldimines, and halogenoalkanes. Purification of the final products by recrystallization with a mixture of pentane/ethanol allowed simple isolation of the 17 components of the array.

Abstract
A new strategy for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines from task-specific ionic liquids (TSIL) as a soluble support was developed. The preparation of the polyhydroquinolines by a three-component reaction was achieved by using ionic liquid-phase bound beta-oxo esters. These starting functionalized esters were synthesized by a solventless transesterification without catalyst under microwave irradiation. The structure of the intermediates in each step was verified routinely by spectroscopic analysis, and after oxidation of the polyhydroquinolines grafted on the TSIL with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone or after cleavage (transesterification, saponification-acidification), the target compounds were obtained in good yields and high purities.

Abstract
A new route to 5-(imidazolidin-2-ylidene)-2-methylsulfanyl-3,5-dihydro-imidazol-4-ones 4a-c using ketene dithioacetal intermediates 3a-c is described. The reactivity of thiohydantoin derivatives 2a-c towards N,N-dimethylformamide diethylacetal (DMF-DEA) was also explored using solvent-free technique under microwave irradiation (mu omega). The (1)H- and (13)C-NMR spectra of some representative products are discussed.

Abstract
The protected methyl 4-hydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-3-carboxylate is synthesized by two convergent routes from dimethyl-5-(2-formylphenyl)-2-methyl-4,5-dihydrooxazole-4,4-dicarboxylate via cleavage of the oxazolyl moiety, the starting dihydrooxazole is prepared on a large scale at 70 °C by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition using a solvent-free process assisted by focused microwave technology.
