Abstract
<span>Nowadays, the digitalization of the production-based industries is driven by emerging technologies tools. The concept of lean manufacturing (LM) towards Industry 4.0 was developed where data analytics of engineering processes are analyzed and connected to reduce wastes. Many authors discuss about the benefits of extending data analytics as a method to support decision. However, the absence of comprehensive framework on how to embed LM and IT tools has existed as a new challenge. The aim of the research is to initiate a framework of model driven decision support system (MD-DSS) where data simulation and communication technologies are accompanied for manufacturing process improvement. In this research, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data was captured through internet networking system and simulate to predict the improvement output. The main information flow route within MD-DSS are demonstrated in detail to show how decision-making process. To illustrate the applicability of the MD-DSS, it has been applied at food industry in Malaysia. The results show that the MD-DSS can easily be adopted in factories facilited with internet network to support decision-making of improvement plan activities.</span>

Abstract
Earthing system is very important in order to protect the electrical equipment as well as the human’s safety against over voltages. The main function of the earthling system is to remove unwanted excessive electrical currents caused by unusual conditions such as fault and lightning or switching over voltages by providing a low resistance path to the earth. Researchers had studied the behaviour of the earthling system to improve its performance for the past few years. There are few factors that influence the performance of the earthling system such as soil resistivity and soil ionization which need to be focused in order to improve the earthling. Thus, this paper evaluates on the factors that affect the behaviour of the earthling system based on simulation works using MATLAB and Safe Grid Software. Some analytical calculations are used to obtain the soil resistivity and resistance as well as the touch and step voltages. The simulation results were validated based on comparison with other studies on the factors that influence the earthling system performance. The results reveal that the variation of soil resistivity, the configuration of electrodes, current magnitude and frequency dependence can result in a change of transient response of the systems.

Abstract
<p>In high-voltage (HV) power equipment, degradation of insulation has been main concern for protection of equipment. This is due to occurrence of partial discharges (PD) activity within HV insulating systems which can be initiated from different types of local internal or external defects. Thus, partial discharge (PD) identification and classification are important for diagnostic insulation systems problems in order to ensure maintenance process can be carried out effectively and hence improve reliability and durable operation of HV equipment. In this work, the relation of the observable statistical characteristics from PD data with the characteristic of the defect is an important factor to determine the defect inside insulation system. Ultimately, the statistical parameters obtained from PD data can be used to classify different PD sources occur inside HV insulation system. Thus, the objective of this paper is to produce a unique pattern according to discharge source using statistical method. Several statistical parameters such as mean, variance, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis have been used and analysed.</p>
