Abstract
Ecological air contamination is the non-homogenous suspension of insoluble particles into gas or/and liquid fluids known as particulate matter (PM). It has been discovered that exposure to PM can cause serious cellular defects, followed by tissue damage known as cellular stress. Apoptosis is a homeostatic and regulated phenomenon associated with distinguished physiological actions inclusive of organ and tissue generation, aging, and development. Moreover, it has been proposed that the deregulation of apoptotic performs an active role in the occurrence of many disorders, such as autoimmune disease, neurodegenerative, and malignant, in the human population. Recent studies have shown that PMs mainly modulate multiple signaling pathways involved in apoptosis, including MAPK, PI3K/Akt, JAK/STAT, NFκB, Endoplasmic Stress, and ATM/P53, leading to apoptosis dysregulation and apoptosis-related pathological conditions. Here, the recently published data concerning the effect of PM on the apoptosis of various organs, with a particular focus on the importance of apoptosis as a component in PM-induced toxicity and human disease development, is carefully discussed. Moreover, the review also highlighted the various therapeutic approaches, including small molecules, miRNA replacement therapy, vitamins, and PDRN, for treating diseases caused by PM toxicity. Notably, researchers have considered medicinal herbs a potential treatment for PM-induced toxicity due to their fewer side effects. So, in the final section, we analyzed the performance of some natural products for inhibition and intervention of apoptosis arising from PM-induced toxicity.

Abstract
In order to investigate the stability of qualitative and quantitative traits and choose the most appropriate cultivation method and irrigation regime in rice plants, the experiment was conducted in the form of a split-plot design based on a randomized complete block design in three replications and in two cropping years. The results of compound analysis indicated that the effect of year × irrigation regimes in terms of traits, grain yield, rainfall, productivity 2, number of full grains, number of hollow grains, harvest index, percentage of crushed grains and yield of white rice, the effect of year × Cultivation method characteristics in terms of water consumption, rainfall, productivity 1, number of tillers, plant height, spike length, number of hollow grains, thousand seed weight, small grain percentage and white rice yield and the effect of irrigation regime × cultivation methods in terms of all Traits except traits productivity 2 were significant. The results of the mean comparison of the interaction effect of irrigation regimes and cultivation methods also showed that treatments T1W1, T2W1 and T1W3 are favorable for all evaluated traits. Based on the table of correlation coefficients, correlation diagram and map of the intensity of the correlation in the years of the experiment, it is possible to report the correlation of the grain yield trait with the traits of water consumption, rainfall, plant height, 100- seed weight, full grain number and white rice yield. Also, traits productivity 1, productivity 2 and small grain percentage showed a positive correlation and a negative correlation of these three traits with most of the traits evaluated in the experiment was observed. Based on the analysis of the main components, the first four main components explained the most data variance, and T2W2 and T2W3 treatments were identified as suitable treatments for rice cultivation in terms of the first and second main components.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Metallo-beta-lactamase (MβL) enzymes production is one of the most important resistance mechanisms against carbapenems in some bacteria including Acinetobacter baumannii. AIMS This study was aimed to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility and the prevalence of MβL among carbapenem-resistant isolates of A. baumannii. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this cross-sectional study from October 2012 to April 2013, 98 isolates were identified as A. baumannii using Microgen™ kits and confirmed by molecular method. These isolates were tested for antimicrobial susceptibilities by disk diffusion method according to the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. Carbapenem-resistant isolates were further detected phenotypically by MβL minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC)-test strips, and subsequently positive MβL isolates were confirmed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). RESULTS Overall, 98% (96/98) of A. baumannii isolates were detected as carbapenem-resistant by MIC test. Highest sensitivity to the tested antibiotic with 42.9% (42/98) was observed to colistin. Of 96 carbapenem-resistant isolates, 43 were phenotypically positive for MβL; out of 43 isolates, 37 were confirmed for the presence of MβL genes by PCR. CONCLUSION The frequency of drug resistance among the clinical samples of A. baumannii isolated in our study against most of the antibiotics was very high. Moreover, all MβL producing isolates were multidrug resistance. Therefore, systematic surveillance to detect MβL producing bacteria and rational prescription and use of carbapenems could be helpful to prevent the spread of carbapenem resistance.
