Aqua-chloridobis(2-{[3-(morpholin-4-yl)prop-yl]imino-meth-yl}phenolato)manganese(III) monohydrate

In the title compound, [Mn(C₁₄H₁₉N₂O₂)₂Cl(H₂O)]·H₂O, the Mn^III atom is N,O-chelated by two monoanionic Schiff bases, forming two six-membered chelate rings. One Cl atom and one water mol­ecule in trans positions complete a distorted octa­hedral geometry around the metal atom. In the crystal, the complex mol­ecules and the uncoordinated water mol­ecules are connected via O—H⋯N, O—H⋯O and O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds into layers parallel to the ac plane and these are consolidated by C—H⋯π inter­actions. The layers are further linked into a three-dimensional network through C—H⋯O inter­actions.

In the zwitterionic zinc title complex, [ZnCl₂(C₁₄H₂₀N₂O₂)], the Zn^II ion is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra­hedral geometry. The Schiff base ligand employs its phenolate O and imine N atoms to coordinate the metal atom in a bidentate mode. Two Cl atoms complete the tetra­hedral coordination environment. In the crystal, a pair of N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the mol­ecules into a centrosymmetric dimer. C—H⋯O, C—H⋯Cl and C—H⋯π inter­actions are also observed.

Di-μ-thio-cyanato-κN:S;κS:N-bis-({2-morpholino-N-[1-(2-pyrid-yl)ethyl-idene]ethanamine-κN,N',N''}(thio-cyanato-κN)cadmium)

In the title complex, [Cd(2)(NCS)(4)(C(13)H(19)N(3)O)(2)], the two Cd(II) ions are bridged by a pair of thio-cyanate N:S-bridging ligands around an inversion center. One terminal thio-cyanate N atom and one N,N',N''-tridentate Schiff base ligand complete a distorted CdN(5)S octa-hedral geometry about each Cd(II) atom. In the crystal, the Schiff base aromatic rings of adjacent mol-ecules are arranged above each other into infinite chains along the a axis with alternate centroid-centroid separations of 3.5299 (13) and 3.7857 (13) Å.

Dichlorido{N,N-dimethyl-N'-[1-(2-pyrid-yl)ethyl-idene]ethane-1,2-diamine-κN,N',N''}manganese(II)

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [MnCl(2)(C(11)H(17)N(3))], contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules with slightly different geometries. In each mol-ecule, the Mn(II) ion is five coordinated by the N,N',N''-tridentate Schiff base and two Cl atoms in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. In the crystal, C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link adjacent mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Aqua-{2-morpholino-N-[1-(2-pyrid-yl)ethyl-idene]ethanamine-κN,N',N''}bis-(thio-cyanato-κN)cobalt(II)

In the title complex, [Co(NCS)(2)(C(13)H(19)N(3)O)(H(2)O)], the Co(II) ion is six-coordinated by the N,N',N''-tridentate Schiff base, the N atoms of two thio-cyanate ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Intra-molecular C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯S, C-H⋯S and S⋯S [3.5546 (18) Å] inter-actions result in an infinite three-dimensional network.

{2-Morpholino-N-[1-(2-pyridyl)ethylidene]ethanamine-κ3N,N′,N′′}bis(thiocyanato-κN)copper(II)

In the title compound, [Cu(NCS)₂(C₁₃H₁₉N₃O)], the Cu^II ion is five-coordinated by the N,N′,N′′-tridentate Schiff base and the N atoms of two isothio­cyanate ligands in a square-pyramidal geometry. In the crystal, C—H⋯N, C—H⋯O and C—H⋯S inter­actions link adjacent mol­ecules into layers parallel to the ac plane. A weak inter­molecular π–π inter­action occurs between the aromatic rings with a centroid–centroid distance of 3.9412 (9) Å.

{2-Morpholino-N-[1-(2-pyrid-yl)ethyl-idene]ethanamine-κN,N',N''}bis-(thio-cyanato-κN)zinc(II)

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Zn(NCS)(2)(C(13)H(19)N(3)O)], contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules. In each mol-ecule, the Zn(II) ion is five-coordinated by the N,N',N"-tridentate Schiff base and the N atoms of two thio-cyanate ligands in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The two mol-ecules differ mainly in the deviations from the ideal geometry, with τ values of 0.14 and 0.33. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds are observed. An intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bond occurs in one of the independent mol-ecules.

Intra-molecular C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, O-H⋯S, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds link adjacent mol-ecules into layers parallel to the ac plane.

Chlorido(2-{1-[(2-morpholino-eth-yl)imino]-eth-yl}phenolato-κN,N',O)copper(II)

In the title compound, [CuCl(C₁₄H₁₉N₂O₂)], the Cu^II ion is four-coordinated by one deprotonated N,N′,O-tridentate Schiff base and one chloride ion in a distorted square-planar geometry. In the crystal, adjacent mol­ecules are linked via C—H⋯Cl and C—H⋯O inter­actions, forming infinite layers parallel to the (100) plane. The structure was determined from a non-merohedrally twined crystal [twin ratio 0.777 (3):0.223 (3)].

In the crystal, inter­molecular C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules into a three-dimensional network. An intra­molecular C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bond is also observed.

Chlorido{4-chloro-2-[(2-morpholinoeth-yl)imino-meth-yl]phenolato-κN,N',O}copper(II)

The Cu(II) atom in the title compound, [Cu(C(13)H(16)ClN(2)O(2))Cl], exists in a distorted square-planar coordination environment as the deprotonated Schiff base chelates to the Cu(II) atom through three atom sites. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by a Cu⋯Cl [3.011 (1) Å] bridge, generating a linear chain running along the b axis of the ortho-rhom-bic unit cell.
