Abstract
SCOPE This study investigates the exosomal microRNA (miRNA) profiles of term and preterm breast milk, including the most abundant and differentially expressed (DE) miRNAs, and their impact on neurodevelopment in infants. METHODS AND RESULTS Mature milk is collected from the mothers of term and preterm infants. Using high-throughput sequencing and subsequent data analysis, exosomal miRNA profiles of term and preterm human breast milk (HBM) are acquired and it is found that the let-7 and miR-148 families are the most abundant miRNAs. Additionally, 23 upregulated and 15 downregulated miRNAs are identified. MiR-3168 is the most upregulated miRNA in preterm HBM exosome, exhibiting targeting activity toward multiple genes involved in the SMAD and MAPK signaling pathways and playing a crucial role in early neurodevelopment. Additionally, the effects of miR-3168 on neurodevelopment is confirmed and it is determined that it is an essential factor in the differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs). CONCLUSION This study demonstrates that miRNA expression in breast milk exosomes can be influenced by preterm delivery, thereby potentially impacting neurodevelopment in preterm infants.

Abstract
Copper sulfide based phototherapy, including photothermal therapy and photodynamic therapy, is an emerging minimally invasive treatment of tumor, which the light was converted to heat or reactive oxygen to kill the tumor cells. Compared with conventional chemotherapy and radiation therapy, Cu2-x S based phototherapy is more efficient and has fewer side effects. However, considering the dose-dependent toxicity of Cu2-x S, the performance of Cu2-x S based phototherapy still cannot meet the requirement of the clinical application to now. To overcome this limitation, engineering of Cu2-x S to improve the phototherapy performance by increasing light absorption has attracted extensive attention. For better guidance of Cu2-x S engineering, we outline the currently engineering method being explored, including (1) structural engineering, (2) compositional engineering, (3) functional engineering, and (4) performance engineering. Also, the relationship between the engineering method and phototherapy performance was discussed in this review. In addition, the further development of Cu2-x S based phototherapy is prospected, including smart materials based phototherapy, phototherapy induced immune microenvironment modulation et al. This review will provide new ideas and opportunities for engineering of Cu2-x S with better phototherapy performance. Abstract
Background This study aimed to analyze the specific expression of hsa_circ_0007823 in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and explore the roles and related molecular mechanisms of hsa_circ_0007823 in TNBC. Materials and Methods Relative hsa_circ_0007823 levels in TNBC tissues and cell lines were examined by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The value of hsa_circ_0007823 levels was evaluated in patients' clinicopathological characteristics and prognostic prediction. A dual-luciferase reporter assay was used to determine the relationship between hsa_circ_0007823, miR-182-5p, and FOXO1. The effect of circ_0007823 overexpression on the growth of TNBC cells was investigated in vitro and in vivo. Results Lower levels of hsa_circ_0007823 were found in TNBC tissues and cell lines and were closely associated with lymph node metastasis, poorer overall and disease-free survival rates. MiR-182-5p was significantly up-regulated, whereas FOXO1 was down-regulated in TNBC cell lines. The miR-182-5p inhibition up-regulated FOXO1 in TNBC cells. Dual-luciferase reporter assays showed that hsa_circ_0007823, miR-182-5p, and FOXO1 interacted with each other. Overexpression of circ_0007823 significantly inhibited the viability, migration, and invasion of TNBC cell lines, but promoted apoptosis. In vivo experiments showed that circ_0007823 overexpression inhibited tumor growth and down-regulated miR-182-5p and up-regulated FOXO1. Conclusion Hsa_circ_0007823 overexpression could suppress the growth, invasion, and migration of TNBC cells, and inhibit tumor growth by regulating miR-182-5p/FOXO1.
