Abstract
Unclear cystic masses in the pelvis in male patients are a rare situation and could be of benign or malignant origin. The underlying diseases demand for specific diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. We present a case series of 3 male patients with different clinical symptoms (perineal pain, urinary retention and a large scrotal cyst) related to cystic lesions in the pelvic region. On all patients initial histopathological workup was unclear. All patients underwent surgery with complete resection of the tumor which revealed a broad spectrum of histopathological findings: unusual form of cystic adenocarcinoma of the prostate, malignant transformation of a dysontogenetic cyst, and finally a very rare diagnosis of a malignant tumor of the Cowper gland. This case series and literature review provide clues for a possible diagnostic and therapeutic approach in the case of unclear pelvic cystic masses and could support urologists during the therapy selection in the future.

Abstract
We report the case of a patient who has been hospitalized for dyspnea. Investigations revealed airway obstruction, eosinophilia, elevated IgE and elevated exhaled nitric oxide. Patient improved with oral corticosteroids (OCS). However, the patient presented two exacerbations requiring OCS during the next twelve months. Chest CT scan revealed two multiloculated parenchymal lesions. Lab test was positive for Echinococcus and Western-Blot confirmed infection with Echinococcus granulosus. Bronchoalveolar lavage confirmed the presence of 6 % eosinophils. Echinococcus granulosis is a zoonotic larval infection caused by a tapeworm larva. Patients with this disease may be asymptomatic for years. Early identification and management, in a multidisciplinary team, are essential and rely mainly on surgical intervention and antiparasitic treatments. This article presents the case of a young patient with pulmonary echinococcosis.

Abstract
Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) and mucinous cystic neoplasms (MCNs) are all considered "Pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCNs)" and show a varying risk of developing into pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). These lesions display different molecular characteristics, mutations, and clinical manifestations. A lack of detailed understanding of PCN subtype characteristics and their molecular mechanisms limits the development of efficient diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies for these lesions. Proper in vivo mouse models that mimic human PCNs are also needed to study the molecular mechanisms and for therapeutic testing. A comprehensive understanding of the current status of PCN biology, mechanisms, current diagnostic methods, and therapies will help in the early detection and proper management of patients with these lesions and PDAC. This review aims to describe all these aspects of PCNs, specifically IPMNs, by describing the future perspectives.

Abstract
The study was conducted to develop a visual and intuitive quantitative evaluation method for maxillary cystic lesions after curettage. Mimics 16.0 and Geomagic Studio 2013 were used to form a precise reconstruction of the cystic lesion morphology of 60 cases; the average reduction rates and 95% confidence interval were calculated. Computed tomography (CT) registration was performed before and after surgery to observe morphology features of the bone regeneration of the cystic area. The average reduction rates (RR) of the cysts after curettage were (43.56 ± 16.79)%, (54.33 ± 17.15)% and (68.53 ± 15.99)% at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months after surgery, respectively. The average monthly reduction rates (MRR) were (12.07 ± 4.35)%, (8.16 ± 2.84)% and (5.35 ± 1.52)% at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months after surgery, respectively. Correlation analysis by comparing with each group showed that the effect of sex and age in the 3-month group and the initial size in the 12-month group on RR and MRR were statistically significant. Within the limitations of the study it seems that the chosen approach for quantitative evaluation of the therapeutic effect of curettage for jaw cystic lesions might facilitate visual and quantitative follow-up of cyst curettage and timely detection of recurrence.

Abstract
The urachus is a thick fibrous cord that appears in the fifth month of pregnancy as a result of the allantois obliteration. Urachal cysts occur as a result of a defect in the obliteration of the duct, anomaly detected mainly in children and very rarely in adults. We present three cases of urachal cysts in adults, one of them detected during the study of abdominal pain and the other two, found incidentally during the study of other pathologies. In any case the possibility of urachal cysts was clinically suspected. Histologically, these lesions are lined by epithelium of urothelial type with expression of CK7, CK20, CK5/6, P63 and GATA3. The diagnosis of urachal cysts certainty lies in the histopathological study where the morphology, immunohistochemistry and a proper clinical-pathological correlation, allow to differentiate it from other more frequent abdominal cystic lesions in adults.

Abstract
BACKGROUND & AIMS Loss of primary cilia in epithelial cells is known to cause cystic diseases of the liver and kidney. We have previously shown that during experimental and human cirrhosis that primary cilia were predominantly expressed on biliary cells in the ductular reaction. However, the role of primary cilia in the pathogenesis of the ductular reaction is not fully understood. METHODS Primary cilia were specifically removed in biliary epithelial cells (BECs) by the administration of tamoxifen to Kif3af/f;CK19CreERT mice at week 2 of a 20-week course of TAA treatment. Biliary progenitor cells were isolated and grown as organoids from gallbladders. Cells and tissue were analysed using histology, immunohistochemistry and Western blot assays. RESULTS At the end of 20 weeks TAA administration, primary cilia loss in liver BECs resulted in multiple microscopic cystic lesions within an unaltered ductular reaction. These were not seen in control mice who did not receive TAA. There was no effect of biliary primary cilia loss on the development of cirrhosis. Increased cellular proliferation was seen within the cystic structures associated with a decrease in hepatocyte lobular proliferation. Loss of primary cilia within biliary organoids was initially associated with reduced cell passage survival but this inhibitory effect was diminished in later passages. ERK but not WNT signalling was enhanced in primary cilia loss-induced cystic lesions in vivo and its inhibition reduced the expansion of primary cilia deficient biliary progenitor cells in vitro. CONCLUSIONS TAA-treated kif3a BEC-specific knockout mice had an unaltered progression to cirrhosis, but developed cystic lesions that showed increased proliferation.

Abstract
Although a common occurrence, cystic lesions of the pancreatico-biliary tree (PBT) may pose a diagnostic dilemma because they encompass a large number of neoplastic and benign processes with varied clinical symptoms. Knowledge of lesion classification and characterization are essential in making an accurate prospective diagnosis. This is necessary for identifying clinically significant cystic masses, which at times may require invasive intervention from indolent, nonneoplastic lesions, for which surveillance may suffice. Today, there is an arsenal of modalities for assessing the PBT, however, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) remains at the forefront for characterizing cystic morphology and fluid content, internal septations, solid component, enhancement patterns, as well as assessing the surrounding normal structures. This pictorial review aims to review the spectrum of MRI features, which will aid in the differential diagnoses of cystic lesions of the PBT and mimickers, enabling the radiologist to reach a more confident diagnosis.

Abstract
Congenital and hereditary cystic lesions of the abdomen are relatively rare. Correct diagnosis is critical as they may simulate several other benign and malignant acquired diseases of the abdomen. With the correct and appropriate use of imaging, diagnosis may be relatively straightforward and clinical management may be implemented appropriately. The purpose of this article is to describe imaging findings of common and uncommon congenital and hereditary cystic disease of the abdominal organs.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Many pancreatic cystic lesions (PCL) are of neoplastic nature with potential to progress to pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Early stratification of patients to either clinical observation or surgical intervention can considerably increase the survival rate. Recent studies have shown the value of molecular analysis to current diagnostic modalities.The aim of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic improvement by utilizing multiple sequential cytologic and molecular cyst fluid analyses. MATERIALS AND METHODS We prospectively evaluated 58 patients for whom multiple endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration of cyst fluid specimens were available. Specimens were subjected to next generation sequencing to identify any recurrent gene mutations commonly found in PCL. The molecular findings were compared with cytologic and final diagnoses. RESULTS Cytologic diagnoses were classified into 3 groups: non-diagnostic (first visit: 33.9%, cumulative: 15.8%, P = 0.03), negative (1st visit: 53.6%, cumulative: 56.1%, P = 0.85) and atypical/suspicious/positive (first visit: 12.5%, cumulative: 28.1%, P = 0.06). The mutational analyses were clustered into indeterminate/failure (first visit: 1.7%, cumulative: 0%), KRAS/GNAS/VHL group (first visit: 50.0%, cumulative: 53.4%) and any mutation (first visit: 50.0%, cumulative: 53.4%). Mutational analysis identifies up to 72% and 71% whereas cytologic analysis classified up to 46% and 63% of lesions correctly in first and multiple visits, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The cytology and molecular analyses provide a complementary approach to patients with PCL. Power of molecular analysis in detection of a neoplastic lesion is significantly higher in one visit (P = 0.01) with comparable detection rates (P = 0.43) for both cytologic and molecular analyses after multiple visits.

Abstract
Purpose The aim of this study was to investigate the location characteristics of cystic lesions in a three-dimensional context and discuss the mechanism of formation. Methods A total of 155 femoral head computed tomography images from 94 patients diagnosed with stage II and III osteonecrosis of the femoral head were retrospectively reviewed. Three-dimensional structures of the femoral head including the cystic lesions and necrotic area were reconstructed. We divided each femoral head into eight regions to observe the positional relationship of the cystic lesions, normal areas, and necrotic areas. Results The regional distribution revealed 14 (13%), 35 (32%), 9 (8%), 25 (23%), 6 (6%), 15 (14%), 4 (4%), and 0 (0%) cystic lesions in regions Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ, Ⅵ, Ⅶ, and Ⅷ, respectively. The anteromedial zone, A (Ⅰ + Ⅲ), contained 22% of the lesions, anterolateral zone, B (Ⅱ + Ⅳ), contained 54%, posteromedial zone, C (Ⅴ +Ⅶ), contained 9% of the lesions, and posterolateral zone, D (Ⅵ + Ⅷ), contained 15% of the lesions. Most of the cystic lesions (78%) were located between the normal and necrotic areas; 18% of cystic lesions were in the necrotic area and 4% were in the normal area. Conclusions Cystic lesions most often occur at the junction of the necrotic and normal areas and are most commonly located in the anterolateral femoral head, which is similar to the distribution of the stress concentration region. The translational potential of this article The study showed the location characteristics of cystic lesions in osteonecrosis of femoral head, which suggested that the formation of cystic lesions may be related to stress and could accelerate the collapse of femoral head. The results can support further research on cystic lesions and provide a reference for doctors' treatment strategies for patients with osteonecrosis of femoral head.

Abstract
CLINICAL/METHODICAL ISSUE Cystic renal lesions are common incidental findings in radiological imaging and they should be adequately examined to be able to characterize them as benign or malignant. STANDARD RADIOLOGICAL METHODS It is not always possible to sufficiently characterize cystic renal lesion solely using native B‑mode sonography and color-Doppler sonography. METHODICAL INNOVATIONS Using contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), it is possible to dynamically evaluate the perfusion of cystic renal lesions and to characterize the potential malignancy of these lesions using the Bosniak classification in order to give recommendations regarding further work-up. CEUS can also be used in patients with contraindications for other radiological imaging modalities as it uses a contrast agent with almost no side effects. PERFORMANCE Using CEUS, cystic renal lesions can be reliably characterized with a diagnostic accuracy greater than 90%. ACHIEVEMENTS CEUS is a useful method in diagnosing and characterizing unclear cystic renal lesions and should always be considered as a viable diagnostic tool. PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS CEUS should always be performed in initially unclear cases and is a useful additional tool for the diagnosis and characterization of unclear cystic renal lesions.

Abstract
Congenital anterior neck masses comprise a rare group of lesions typically diagnosed in childhood. Most commonly, lesions are anomalies of the thyroglossal duct, namely the thyroglossal duct cyst, along with ectopic thyroid tissue. Although usually suspected based on clinical examination, imaging can confirm the diagnosis, assess the extent, and evaluate for associated complications. Imaging characteristics on ultrasound, CT, and MRI may at times be equivocal; differential considerations include branchial cleft cyst, dermoid/epidermoid, laryngocele, thymic cyst, lymphatic malformation, and metastatic disease. Thus, understanding of the embryologic course of thyroid development is crucial with recognition of critical landmarks such as the foramen cecum, hyoid bone, thyroid cartilage, and strap musculature to aid in the diagnosis of an anterior neck mass.

Abstract
Cystic pancreatic tumors account for 10% of cystic lesions in the pancreas. Evaluation focuses on identifying lesions that require surgical resection due to actual or potential malignancy. Cystic tumors with malignant potential include mucinous cystic neoplasms (MCNs), intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs), and cystic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The sensitivity of endoscopic fine needle aspiration (FNA) to diagnose such lesions is low, and a more accurate marker of malignant potential is needed. Aldo-keto reductase 1B10 (AKR1B10) was originally found in human hepatocellular carcinoma. Since then, it has been identified in pancreatic adenocarcinoma and pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia. Because there is difficulty in determining the malignant potential of cystic pancreatic tumors, we set out to examine the expression of AKR1B10 in these lesions as a potential biomarker of malignancy. AKR1B10 expression was analyzed in cell blocks from FNAs and surgical resection specimens using immunohistochemistry. We examined MCN (n=28), IPMN (n=18), and cystic NET (n=20) as well as nonmucinous cysts including pseudocysts (n=13) and serous cystadenomas (n=16). AKR1B10 expression was seen in 45 of 46 (98%) mucinous lesions evaluated. Strong staining (2+-3+/60%-100% staining) was seen in 16 of 18 (89%) IPMNs and 25 of 28 (90%) MCNs. No staining was seen in the nonmucinous lesions (n=49). In conclusion, AKR1B10 is upregulated in mucinous cystic pancreatic tumors, and this staining can be accomplished in cytology FNA material, making AKR1B10 a promising biomarker of malignant potential. Most importantly, this application could impact the clinical management of these patients by determining the best candidates for surgical resection.

Abstract
Autologous fat grafting is quite common for breast augmentations as well as for reconstructive breast surgery. Coleman has described the surgical technique of fat grafting. Fat is harvested, and after centrifugation and refinement, blunt infiltration cannulas are used to place the fat through small incisions. The grafted tissue is placed in small aliquots with each withdrawal of the cannula. In order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing contour of the breast, the fat should be layered into different levels from the chest wall to the skin. However, autogenous lipotransfer if not performed lege artis might lead to complications such as fat necrosis, calcification, formation of encapsulated fatty masses (cystic lesions), lymphadenopathy, disfigurement of breast contouring, hypersensitive breasts, itchy nipples. A 36-year old female patient, presented with multiple palpable cystic lesions, disrupted breast contouring, asymmetry, hypersensation and pain during examination, 6 months after autologous fat grafting for breast augmentation elsewhere. The patient had ultrasound and MRI screening, which revealed the multiple bilateral cysts formation in the breast tissue. Surgical removal of the large lesions was performed, and specimens were sent for pathology and cytology consideration and screening. A few months after surgical removal of these lesions and after symptoms subsided, breast augmentation was performed with silicone implants. An aesthetically pleasing result together with relief of the patient's initial symptomatology was achieved. Abstract
INTRODUCTION Human beings are accidental hosts for Cysticercus cellulosae showing varied clinical manifestations based on the site harbored by the parasitic cyst because of which disease profile remains unexplored at large. Besides this, diagnosis of the disease with a single conventional method is problematic due to lack of specificity and sensitivity. AIM To assess the varied clinical manifestations and stratify based on imaging and serological methods for diagnosis of Neurocysticercosis (NCC) in our study population. MATERIALS AND METHODS A hospital-based study was carried out at Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), the tertiary care centre caters patients from Puducherry and surrounding regions of Tamil Nadu. This is a cross-sectional analysis of clinically and radiologically suspected cases of NCC (n=119) for a period of three years (2012 to 2015). The collection of detailed clinical history and imaging findings (MRI or CT) along with the lifestyle parameters was done after obtaining informed consent. Enzyme-Linked Immune-Electro Transfer Blot (EITB) was carried out for the samples collected from study subjects. RESULTS Based on dietary and environmental factors non-vegetarians, pork eaters, raw vegetable consumers and open-field defecation showed significant seropositivity. The clinical manifestations like seizures, blurring of vision and chronic headache with nausea followed by neck pain, cognitive deficits and movement disorder have higher seropositivity respectively. Generalized seizures were found to be more than focal seizures. While comparing the imaging and serological tests for NCC diagnosis, the positivity rate was 46.2% considering positive by both methods; but 18.5% of sero-positive cases were imaging negative, and 16% of the sero-negative cases were imaging positive. The study showed a predominance of multiple cysts (62%) in cases with cystic lesions. CONCLUSION This study is first of its kind in associating varied and less commonly explored clinical manifestations with two different diagnostic measures in practice and its importance among our study settings. These manifestations must be considered as strong disease entities of NCC, which has to be suggested for differential diagnosis, and cannot be left ignored. Combinatorial diagnostic methods like serology and imaging techniques should be followed in diagnosis and assessing the disease burden.

Abstract
Background Extrahepatic manifestations of Echinococcus multilocularis are very rare, especially in the adrenal glands. To the best of our knowledge, only seven cases of adrenal alveolar echinococcosis have been reported, all from the Far East. All of these occurred exclusively in the right adrenal gland. Case presentation We report a rare case of an extrahepatic alveolar echinococcosis in an asymptomatic 78-year-old white man with an incidentaloma of his right adrenal gland. After surgical resection and medical treatment with albendazole no recurrence of the disease appeared at 1-year follow-up. Conclusions As the occurrence of Echinococcus multilocularis in Europe increases, alveolar echinococcosis should be included in the differential diagnosis of cystic adrenal incidentalomas.

Abstract
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of PRF in osseous regeneration after enucleation of cystic lesions. The objectives of this study were as follows: (1) to evaluate osseous regeneration radiographically with the use of PRF in intrabony defects after cystic enucleation. (2) To evaluate the degree of bone density in intrabony defects with the use of PRF postoperatively after 1st, 3rd, and 6th months. SUBJECTS AND METHODS 20 cases of cystic lesions were treated using PRF after cystic enucleation. Follow-up radiographs (orthopantomogram) were taken 1st, 3rd, and 6th months postoperatively. Bone density was measured with grayscale histogram using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 software. RESULTS The subsequent follow-up examinations revealed progressive, predictable, and significant radiographic osseous regeneration. CONCLUSION The use of PRF in management of cystic lesions seems to be a novel therapeutic approach promoting faster osseous regeneration within 6 months postoperatively; however, further study is required with larger sample size and with a control group.

Abstract
This is a case report of a three-month-old male who presented to clinic with a cystic lesion under the tongue. On clinical examination, a cystic lesion was observed in the, floor-of-mouth. The patient was referred to Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology service for further management. The differential diagnoses for floor-of-mouth lesions should be reviewed with primary focus on the Wharton's duct atresia and its management. It is crucial to recognize submandibular duct atresia in the primary Paediatric clinic in order to expedite management of lesion before complications arise including infection, enlargement of cyst, and feeding and breathing difficulties.

Abstract
There are both odontogenic and nonodontogenic benign lesions in the maxilla and mandible. These lesions may have similar imaging features, and the key radiographic features are presented to help the clinician narrow the differential diagnosis and plan patient treatment. Both intraoral and panoramic radiographs and advanced imaging features are useful in assessing the benign lesions of the jaws. The location, margins, internal contents, and effects of the lesions on adjacent structures are important features in diagnosing the lesions.

Abstract
Lymphangiomas are benign lesions of mesenchymal origin. Although more commonly encountered in the head and neck, intra-abdominal lymphangiomas are a rare entity that typically present as multiloculated intra-abdominal cystic lesions that are often incidentally discovered on imaging. This case report discusses such a case.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) is a malignant salivary gland neoplasm with extreme morphologic heterogeneity and hence rendering a definitive fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) diagnosis of this neoplasm is really challenging. The present study was undertaken to elucidate the cytological features of MEC and explore the diagnostic accuracy and pitfalls by comparing with subsequent histopathology. MATERIALS AND METHODS The present study was conducted over a period of 2 years wherein we obtained six histopathologically confirmed cases of MEC. These patients were initially subjected to FNAC. The cytologic features studied included presence of mucous cells, intermediate cells, and squamous cells. Presence of background mucinous material was also noted. The cytological features were compared with the subsequent histopathology. RESULTS Of the 6 cases of MEC, a definite cytological diagnosis was possible only in 2 cases. Of the remaining 4 cases, 2 cases were broadly diagnosed in cytology as neoplasm with cystic degeneration and 2 cases were underdiagnosed as pleomorphic adenoma. CONCLUSIONS A satisfactory aspirate with all three types of cells; mucous, intermediate and squamous cells may not be obtained in all cases of MEC for providing a definite diagnosis. Hence, a good clinicoradiological correlation, a high index of suspicion and repeated aspirations especially in cystic lesions may be particularly helpful in difficult cases. In addition, while dealing with mucinous cystic lesions with low cellularity, the importance of early excision should be communicated to the clinician since the possibility of low-grade MEC cannot be excluded.

Abstract
Complex cystic focal liver lesions (FLLs) found at non-contrast ultrasound (US) may turn out to be malignant. In this prospective, monocentric study we investigated the value of contrast-enhanced US (CEUS) in the differential diagnosis of complex cystic FLLs. In the past 3 years, all patients with complex cystic FLLs unclassifiable at US underwent CEUS with low-transmit insonation power. We evaluated 36 consecutive patients with 61 FLLs (1-6/patient, mean = 2). The diameter of the lesions ranged from 1.1 to 7.9 cm (mean = 3.9 cm). Sixteen patients had an extrahepatic malignancy. There were 42 malignant lesions and 19 benign lesions. No lesion had a certain diagnosis at conventional US, whereas 16 FLLs were classified as probable (benign or malignant) and 45 as uncertain. CEUS correctly categorized 95% of the malignant cases. CEUS was not able to differentiate the biliary cystadenoma from its malignant counterpart and misdiagnosed two abscesses. Complete non-enhancement throughout three phases or sustained enhancement in the portal/late phase was exhibited in most benign complex cystic FLLs, except for 1 (of the 3) cystadenomas and in 2 (of the 4) abscesses. On the other hand, all malignant lesions presented a contrast washout with a hypo-enhancing appearance. CEUS may provide added diagnostic value in all complex cystic FLLs found uncertain at conventional US, potentially avoiding the use of more invasive and expensive imaging modalities.

Abstract
Cystic lesions of the pancreas are increasingly recognized. While some lesions show benign behaviour (serous cystic neoplasm), others have an unequivocal malignant potential (mucinous cystic neoplasm, branch- and main duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm and solid pseudo-papillary neoplasm). European expert pancreatologists provide updated recommendations: diagnostic computerized tomography and/or magnetic resonance imaging are indicated in all patients with cystic lesion of the pancreas. Endoscopic ultrasound with cyst fluid analysis may be used but there is no evidence to suggest this as a routine diagnostic method. The role of pancreatoscopy remains to be established. Resection should be considered in all symptomatic lesions, in mucinous cystic neoplasm, main duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm and solid pseudo-papillary neoplasm as well as in branch duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm with mural nodules, dilated main pancreatic duct >6mm and possibly if rapidly increasing in size. An oncological partial resection should be performed in main duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm and in lesions with a suspicion of malignancy, otherwise organ preserving procedures may be considered. Frozen section of the transection margin in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm is suggested. Follow up after resection is recommended for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm, solid pseudo-papillary neoplasm and invasive cancer.

Abstract
Congenital lesions by definition are present at birth; but certain congenital lesions of the head and neck, like branchial cysts and dermoid cysts, clinically present in childhood, early adulthood or late in life. A good history and a high degree of suspicion are the key to the adequate management of such lesions. Here we present a series of six case reports of congenital cystic lesions of the head and neck.

Abstract
The cystic lesions of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract demonstrate the various pathologic findings. Some lesions may present a diagnostic challenge because of non-specific imaging features; however, other lesions are easily diagnosed using characteristic radiologic features and anatomic locations. Cystic masses from the GI tract can be divided into several categories: congenital lesions, neoplastic lesions (cystic neoplasms, cystic degeneration of solid neoplasms), and other miscellaneous lesions. In this pictorial review, we describe the pathologic findings of various cystic lesions of the GI tract as well as the radiologic features of GI cystic lesions from several imaging modalities including a barium study, transabdominal ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging.

Abstract
Four hundred pediatric patients (0-12 years of age) who presented with cervicofacial masses were evaluated clinically and pathologically. Infl ammatory lesions were the commonest (48%) followed by congenital and developmental malformations (26%). In infl ammatory lesions, reactive lymphadenopathy was the commonest (16%) followed by tubercular lymphadenitis (11.5%). In congenital and developmental malformations hemangiomas were the commonest (12%) followed by TG cyst (6.5%). Cystic lesions (non-developmental) constituted 19%, benign neoplastic lesions 7% and malignant neoplastic lesions 2% of the cases. Males predominated the series (53.5%) and commonest age group involved was 10-12 years (20.5%). FNAB was performed in 93% of cases and HPE was available in 51.5% of cases. Sensitivity of FNAB in our series was 87.4%.
