Abstract
AIMS Impact of different post-space disinfectants (Saline, Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) followed by ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) and curcumin activated by microbubble emulsion (MBE) on the Vickers hardness (VH) of root canal dentin and extrusion bond strength (EBS) of Glass fiber post (GFP) and PEEK post. METHODS Ninety maxillary central incisors having fully formed roots were included. After the specimen's disinfection, root canal treatment was completed. Post space was prepared by removing gutta-percha using gates glidden drills. Teeth were then arbitrarily allocated into three groups based on the methods of disinfection regime used. Group 1: Saline, Group 2: NaOCl+ EDTA and Group 3: Curcumin activated by MBE (n=30). Analysis of VH of radicular dentin was performed using a micro-Vickers tester on ten samples from each group. After post-space disinfection, twenty specimens from each group were further divided into two subgroups (n=10) In group-1A 2A, and 3A, GFP was used. Whereas, prefabricated PEEK posts were used in 1B, 2B, and 3B subgroups. The PBS and failure modes were performed using a universal testing machine and stereomicroscope respectively. Data was analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey post hoc test to identify significant variations among groups concerning the MH and EBS of the different posts used (p=0.05). RESULTS Group 2 (5.25% NaOCl + 17% EDTA) (0.15 ± 0.02 GPa) treated specimens presented lowest scores of VH. However, Group 1 (Saline) irrigated canals displayed the highest scores of surface hardness (0.25± 0.07 GPa). Additionally, a cervical third of 3A (CP activated by MBE + GFP) (11.22±0.79 MPa) presented the highest scores of bond integrity. Whereas Group 1B (Saline + PEEK post) treated specimens presented the lowest scores of PBS (4.15±0.15 MPa). CONCLUSION Curcumin activated by microbubble emulsion for disinfection of canal dentin demonstrated favorable VH. Similarly, glass fiber post-cemented in radicular walls disinfected with curcumin activated with MBE showed promising post-bond integrity to the canal dentin.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Once bioceramic sealer (BCS) enters the dentinal tubules, it cannot be reliably removed. BCS-occupied dentinal tubules reduce fibre post retention strength. Coating gutta-percha with BCS only on the apical portion may improve post retention strength due to increased retention strength between the dentin and resin cement interface. The aim of the study was to test this hypothesis. METHODS Root canals of 27 extracted human mandibular premolars were instrumented and randomly assigned to three obturation methods: conventional coating (CC), non-coating (NC), and apical coating (AC). The root canals were obturated with gutta-percha to 4 mm from the working length under an operating microscope. After the BCS was completely set, post spaces were prepared, and quartz fibre posts were cemented. The apical 4.5 mm of the roots were removed. Two samples were prepared at the apical, middle, and coronal root levels (one for scanning electron microscope (SEM) study and another for the push out bond strength (PBS) test). After the PBS test, the samples were examined with a stereo microscope to determine the failure mode: dentine-cement (DC), post-cement (PC) and mixed. The PBS data were analysed by One way ANOVA for the specific obturation method effects. Repeated ANOVA was used for the specific effects of the root levels on PBS in different obturation methods. RESULTS At all three root levels, more continuous hybrid layers and denser resin tags were found in the NC and AC than the CC group. The AC and NC groups' PBS was significantly higher than the CC group at the apical 1/3 (p = 0.002 and p = 0.001) and coronal 1/3 (p = 0.016 and p = 0.041). The PBS in the CC group at the middle 1/3 was significantly higher than the apical 1/3 (p = 0.022). DC failure mode was most commonly found in the CC group, while PC failure mode was found most frequently in the NC and AC groups. CONCLUSIONS The apical coating obturation method significantly increased PBS over the conventional coating method, potentially reducing fiber post dislodgement. However, this study was only preliminary. Clinical studies are required to confirm the results.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermal and mechanical cyclic aging using a mastication simulator on push-out bond strength of mandibular premolars obturated with AH Plus and BioRoot RCS root canal sealers. METHODS With REVO-S files up to SU/0.06 taper, 48 single-rooted premolar teeth were instrumented. The teeth were randomly divided into two main groups (n = 24) based on the two root canal sealers used (AH Plus and BioRoot RCS). All teeth were obturated with h matched-taper single-cone. Each main group was then subdivided into three subgroups (A, B, and C) (n = 8). Group A served as the negative control group (no-thermocycling aging). While groups B and C were subjected to thermal changes in a thermocycler machine (15,000 and 30,000 thermal cycles, respectively), followed by two different dynamic loading periods, 3 × 105 and 6 × 105 in a masticatory simulator with a nominal load of 5 kg at 1.2 Hz which represent roughly 1½ and 3 years of clinical function respectively. 2 mm slice at 3 levels, apical, middle, and coronal, to obtain 3 sections were prepared and subjected to push-out test using a universal testing machine. Statistical analysis was performed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by a Tukey post hoc comparisons test and an independent T-test. A significance level of 5% was used. RESULTS After thermal-mechanical cyclic aging, the two root canal sealers showed a significantly decreased in push-out bond strength (p < 0.05), however, AH Plus had significantly higher bond strength values than BioRoot RCS after cycling aging. CONCLUSIONS It could be concluded that thermal-mechanical cyclic aging had a significant impact on the outcome of the dislodgment resistance of AH Plus and BioRoot RCS.

Abstract
AIM Evaluation of the push-out bond strength (PBS) of zirconia post-bonded to radicular dentin after using different final irrigants (MTAD, Malachite green (MG), Ti-sapphire laser and Salvadora persica (S.persica). MATERIAL AND METHOD Forty human permanent single-rooted were decoronated above the cement-enamel junction. An experienced endodontist performed all the root canal instrumentation using ProTaper universal rotary files. Canals were irrigated using 5.25% NaOCl solution followed by EDTA as a final sterilant. Obturation with gutta-percha using AH Plus sealer was performed. Post-space preparation was completed using Gates Glidden and specimens were randomly assigned to four groups based on the final disinfectant received (n=10). Group 1: 5.25% NaOCl + MTAD, group 2: 5.25% NaOCl + MG, group 3: 5.25% NaOCl +Ti-sapphire laser, and group 4: 5.25% NaOCl + S. persica. The chemically polymerized resin was used to lute zirconia posts. PBS and failure mode analysis were performed using a universal testing machine and stereomicroscope at 40X magnification. Data were compared between the two groups with 95% CI using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the Tukey post hoc test. p=0.05. RESULTS Group4(5.25% NaOCl+ S.persica) specimens demonstrated the maximum (8.94±0.14 MPa) bond strength. Conversely, the apical third of Group 2 (5.25% NaOCl+ MG) (2.87±0.15 MPa) samples revealed the minimum bond strength scores. Intergroup comparison exposed that Group 1 (1.3% NaOCl+ MTAD), Group 3 (5.25% NaOCl+Ti-sapphire laser), and Group 4 (5.25% NaOCl+ S. persica) at all three-thirds unveiled no significant difference in PBS (p<0.05). CONCLUSION Ti-sapphire laser and Salvedora Persica possess the potential to be used as a final root canal irrigant to improve the push-out bond strength of zirconia post-to-root dentin.

Abstract
AIM The effect of novel final disinfection protocols Malachite green (MG), Fotoenticine® (FTC), Green tea extract (GTE), and Ozonated water (OW) on the bond strength of prefabricated glass fiber posts (PGFP) adhered to canal dentin. MATERIAL AND METHOD The canals of fifty premolars with closed apices were cleansed and obturated. The specimens were randomly assigned to one of five groups based on the final irrigant used, with the control group receiving NaOCl+EDTA and the experimental groups receiving MG, FTC, OW, and GTE. The GFP was cemented with a self-etching, dual-cure paste; the bond strength was estimated with a universal testing machine; and failure analysis was conducted with a stereomicroscope. RESULTS The highest PBS was observed in the coronal third of Group 4 (using ozonated water as the final irrigant), whereas the lowest bond integrity was observed in the apical section of Group 2 (1.02-0.54 MPa) using Malachite green as the final irrigant. Group 1, Group 4, and Group 5 exhibited no significant difference in the bond integrity of GFP to dentin when compared to Group 2 (p>0.05). In addition, comparable bond score values were obtained for Groups 2 and 3 (p>0.05). CONCLUSION The results of this study suggest that OW and GTE may be effective final disinfectants for root canals, as they increase the bond strength of resin-luting cement.

Abstract
AIM To assess the push-out bond strength (PBS) of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) post-to-root dentin using post-surface conditioners i.e., Neodymium-doped yttrium orthovanadate (Nd: YVO4) and Riboflavin (RF) and Rose Bengal (RB) mediated photodynamic therapy (PDT) compared to sulfuric acid (SA). MATERIALS AND METHODS Decoronation of forty human single-rooted premolar teeth was performed. Followed by chamber opening, working length (WL) was established at 15 mm. Root canal preparation was completed using ProTaper Ni-Ti rotary system till F3 finishing file along with root canal disinfection. The canals were dried with paper cones followed by obturation using gutta-percha (GP) and AH sealer. Post space was prepared by drilling out 11 mm of GP using a Gates Glidden drill #3. PEEK posts were fabricated using the CAD-CAM system and then randomly allocated into 4 groups based on the post-surface conditioning (n=10). Group 1: SA, group 2: PDT RF, group 3: PDT RB, and group 4: Nd: YVO4 laser. The PEEK post was then cemented in their respective canal. PBS and failure mode assessment were performed using a universal testing machine and stereomicroscope at 40x magnification. The SBS data set was subjected to a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey's Post Hoc test at a significance level of 0.05. RESULTS The samples in group 4 (Nd: YVO4 laser) coronal third (7.99±0.24 MPa) demonstrated the highest PBS. The apical third of samples in group 1 PEEK post surface conditioned with SA (5.15± 0.52 MPa) exhibited the minimum values of PBS. Intergroup comparison analysis showed that samples in group 1 (SA), group 2 (RF activated by PDT), group 3 (RB activated by PDT), and group 4 (Nd: YVO4 laser) demonstrated comparable outcomes of bond scores (p>0.05) CONCLUSION: Neodymium-doped yttrium orthovanadate (Nd: YVO4) and riboflavin and Rose bengal activated by photodynamic therapy (PDT) have been investigated as potential alternatives for the surface conditioning of PEEK (polyetheretherketone) posts.

Abstract
AIMS To evaluate the effect of contemporary root canal irrigants i.e., Cold atmospheric argon plasma (CAAP), Chlorine p6 (Clp6), and chitosan on the push-out bond strength (PBS) of glass fiber post (GFP) and marten hardness (MH) of root canal dentin compared to NaOCl+EDTA. MATERIALS AND METHODS The anatomic crown of sixty human mandibular premolars was removed by transversal section till cement-enamel junction (CEJ). Root canals were prepared and canals were dried and obturated using gutta-percha points and AH plus sealer. Post space was prepared and specimens were arbitrarily divided into four groups based on the post-space irrigation. (n=15) Group 1: 5.25% NaOCl + 17% EDTA, Group 2: CAAP + 17% EDTA, Group 3: Chitosan + 17% EDTA and Group 4: Clp6 + 17% EDTA. For MH evaluation five samples from each disinfected group were taken and MH was assessed with the help of an ultra microhardness tester. GFP was cemented using self-etch dual cure cement on the remaining 10 samples from each group. Samples were vertically planted in acrylic resin blocks 1mm thick slices were subjected to push-out testing and failure mode analysis using a universal testing machine and Stereomicroscope. ANOVA and Tukey multiple comparison tests were used to compare the means of bond integrity attained (p=0.05). RESULTS The maximum values of PBS and MH were displayed in group 1 (5.25% NaOCl + 17% EDTA) specimens. However, group 3 exhibited the minimum values of bond strength and MH scores. Intergroup comparison analysis revealed that group 2, group 3, and group 4 displayed comparable outcomes of PBS and MH (p > 0.05). The cervical and middle third of group 1 specimens displayed a cohesive type of failure. However, the apical section of group 1 and other tested groups exhibited the adhesive type of failure. CONCLUSION Canal irrigation with 5.25% NaOCl and 17% EDTA appears to be better in terms of improving the bond integrity of fiber posts with no compromise in MH of the dentin as compared to the contemporary irrigant used.

Abstract
Background/purpose The root fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth is decreased significantly, and it is more likely to fracture. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a novel root canal sealer based on bioactive glass (BG) on root fracture resistance and explore its mechanism. Materials and methods The BG-based root canal sealer (BG Sealer) was prepared by mixing a kind of bioactive glass (10.8% P2O5, 54.2% SiO2, 35% CaO, mol.%, named PSC), zirconia (ZrO2) powder, sodium alginate (SA) and phosphate solution (PS). A pH meter was used to measure the pH of simulated body fluid (SBF) after immersion with BG Sealer at different time. After preparing the samples of BG sealer with a diameter of 4 mm and a height of 6 mm, the compressive strength was tested by a universal testing machine. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) were used to detect and analyze the mineral status of root canal systems filled with BG Sealer. The push out test was used to measure the push out bond strength of BG Sealer. The fracture resistance of root canals filled with BG Sealer was detected by the compressive loading test. Bioceramic root canal sealer iRoot SP was set as the control group. Results (1) Physicochemical properties: The pH value of SBF immersed with BG Sealer increased slightly up to 7.68, while the pH of SBF immersed with iRoot SP increased to 12.08. The compressive strength of the novel BG Sealer was 4.62 ± 1.70 MPa, which was lower than that of iRoot SP (P < 0.05). (2) Mineralization: The hydroxyapatite layers were observed on the surface of BG Sealer and iRoot SP after being immersed in SBF for 4 weeks. BG Sealer and iRoot SP were both able to penetrate into the dentin tubules, duplicate the morphology of root canals well, and form a layer of hydroxyapatite. (3) Adhesion to dentin: There was no significant difference between the push out bond strength of the novel BG Sealer and iRoot SP (P > 0.05). (4) Fracture resistance: After immersion in SBF for 4 weeks, the fracture resistance of roots filled with BG Sealer and iRoot SP was 454.16 ± 155.39 N and 445.50 ± 164.73 N, respectively, both of which were not statistically different from that of the roots unprepared and unfilled (394.07 ± 62.12 N) (P > 0.05), whereas higher than that of the roots prepared and unfilled (235.36 ± 83.80 N) (P < 0.05). Conclusion The novel BG Sealer has good adhesion to the root dentin, can penetrate into the dentin tubules to generate minerals, and meanwhile can improve the fracture resistance of the roots after root canal treatment. It is expected to be a bioactive root canal sealer with good clinical application prospects.

Abstract
AIM The present study aimed to assess the push-out bond strength (PBS) and failure modes of fiber-posts after photodynamic therapy (PDT) and Erbium yttrium scandium gallium garnet (Er,Cr:YSGG) in c-shaped canals. METHODS Sixty molars with c-shaped root configuration were studied. The endodontic prepared teeth specimen were equally randomized into four groups: i) photodynamic therapy (PDT); ii) Er,Cr:YSGG; iii) chlorhexidine and; iv) control group. Post root filling, 10 mm space was prepared for insertion of post in the root canals. The push-out bond strength was evaluated using Universal testing machine. Modes of failure were evaluated as adhesive, cohesive and admixed. Mean values were computed between groups using Kruskal-Wallis test followed by Bonferroni post hoc test. Comparison between two thirds of root sections were analyzed using Friedman test. P-value was set at 0.05 or less. RESULTS Specimens treated with PDT reported the highest mean PBS (8.56 ± 2.12 MPa), while the lowest PBS was observed in NaOCl group (6.92 ± 2.21 MPa). Thirteen failures were observed at the adhesive post interface, whereas 22 failures were found at the interface forming between the dentin surface and adhesive. Similarly, 9 failures were categorized as mixed. For PDT group, a sum of 3 failures and 4 failures were noted at the apical and cervical points. CONCLUSION The specimens treated with PDT showed the highest push out bond strength with least number of failures.in c-shaped root canals.

Abstract
AIM Present lab-based study intended to appraise the effect of nisin, Mixture of Tetracycline, Acid and Detergent (MTAD), and photodynamic therapy (PDT) when used as a canal disinfectant on push-out bond strength (PBS) of fiber post to radicular dentin MATERIALS AND METHODS: Forty uni-radicular premolar teeth were extracted and disinfected in 0.5 % thymol solution. All specimens were decoronated to achieve standardize root length of 14 mm. Cleaning and shaping of the canal were done using protaper NiTi system. The canal space was dried and obturated. Post space was prepared using peso reamers up to 10 mm length and samples were randomly divided into 4 groups (n = 10). Group 1 irrigated with 10 % Nisin with MTAD, group 2: 1.3 % NaOCl and MTAD, Group 3 irrigated with 2.5 % NaOCl and 17 % EDTA and post space of samples in group 4 with PDT with MTAD. Fiber-reinforced composite post (FRCP) was fitted in canal space using self-etch resin cement. Each sample was cut into 1 mm from coronal, middle, and apical and subjected to PBS via a universal testing machine. For comparison of means, Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey multiple comparison test was used maintaining the level of significance at p < 0.05. RESULT Samples in group 3 post space irrigated with 2.5 % NaOCl and 17 % EDTA demonstrated the highest PBS at all root levels (cervical: 8.83 ± 0.14 MPa, middle: 7.63 ± 0.82 MPa and apical: 5.82 ± 0.32 MPa) in comparison to other tested groups. Whereas, group 1 in which Nisin 10 % with MTAD was used as a canal disinfectant displayed the lowest PBS at all levels (cervical: 6.91 ± 0.54 MPa, middle: 6.15 ± 0.31 MPa, and apical: 3.62 ± 0.68 MPa). CONCLUSION Post space irrigated with 1.3 % NaOCl and MTAD shows PBS similar to control group 2.5 % NaOCl and 17 % EDTA. Both types of irrigation methods have potential and can be recommended in clinical scenarios. Whereas, 10 % Nisin and PDT with MTAD as chelator needs further inquiry.

Abstract
AIM The aim of the present study was to assess post space disinfection using different irrigants and their effect on radicular dentin bond to SERC. MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty single rooted mandibular 2nd premolars were collected and disinfected. All samples were decoronated maintaining root length of 12 mm and embedded vertically in acrylic resin. Shaping of the canal was performed using reciprocating system. Canals were dried using paper points and obturated with gutta percha via lateral condensation. Peso-reamers were used to create post space up to 10 mm. The post space was irrigated with 1% NaOCl before being randomly allocated into four groups (n = 10) according to different methods of canal disinfection. Samples in group 1 were subjected to photoactivated disinfection (PAD), group 2 irrigated with ethanol based propolis group 3 disinfected using ozone and group 4 irrigated with 2.25 % NaOCl with 17 % EDTA and ECL. GFP was fitted using SERC. Each sample was cut into 1 mm from coronal, middle and apical and subjected to pushout bond strength (PBS) via universal testing machine. Fracture analysis were confirmed by stereomicroscope at 40x magnification. For comparison of means, Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey multiple comparison test was used maintaining the level of significance at p < 0.05. RESULTS The highest PBS at all three levels were found in group 4, canal disinfected with 2.5 % NaOCl with 17 % EDTA and ECYL. Whereas, the lowest PBS was observed in group 1. Inter group comparison, prosthetic space disinfected with propolis extract showed no significant difference to group 4 canal disinfected with 2.5 % NaOCl with 17 % EDTA and ECYL at all three levels (p > 0.05). Intra group comparison in all experimental groups showed no significant difference was noted in coronal and middle thirds of group 1, group 2 and group 3 respectively (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION 2.5 % NaOCl with EDTA and ECL treatment (group 4) remains the gold standard when used as a final canal irrigant. Propolis can be used as potential irrigant for canal disinfectant provided if the composition becomes standardized.

Abstract
AIM To determine the push out bond strength (PBS) of fibre reinforced composite post (FRCP) bonded to radicular dentin using different cement types total etch resin cement (TERC) and Self-adhesive resin cement (SARC) conditioned with (PDT, 5.25 % NaOCl with EDTA and 1% NaOCl) MATERIALS AND METHODS: Sixty freshly extracted (orthodontic purpose) human single rooted mandibular premolars were collected. Teeth were disinfected and coronal part of all samples were removed. Cleaning shaping and finishing of canal space was performed and filled with gutta percha via lateral condensation. Post space was prepared and disinfected with three irrigating solutions. Samples in group 1 and 2 disinfected 5.25 % NaOCl with EDTA, group 3 and 4 steriled with 1% NaOCl and group 5 and 6 disinfected with Methylene Blue photodynamic therapy (PDT). Based on the resin cement, FRCP was luted with TERC in group 2, 4 and 5; and with SARC in group 1,3 and 6 respectively. All specimens were subjected to aging and push-out bond strength (PBS) on universal testing machine after sectioning of each sample in three segments (coronal, middle and apical). Following push out bond strength (PBS), debonded surface were observed under stereomicroscope at 40x magnification. PBS were equated by means of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey's post hoc test maintaining level of significance (p < 0.05) RESULTS: Group 1 (SARC) and 2 (TERC) disinfected with 5.25 % NaOCl with 17 % EDTA, TERC (group 2) showed higher extrusion bond strength at all three levels coronal (9.25 ± 0.21 MPa) middle (8.81 ± 0.94 MPa) and apical (8.21 ± 0.93 MPa). Whereas, canal space sterilized with 1% NaOCl [group 3 (SARC) and group 4 (TERC)], posts cemented with TERC exhibited the higher PBS at all three levels of root canal (10.22 ± 0.36 MPa), (9.68 ± 0.51 MPa), (6.33 ± 0.08 MPa). Similarly, among PDT disinfected fiber post [group 5 (TERC) and group 6 (SARC)], TERC exhibited the greater PBS values at coronal, middle and apical levels (6.25 ± 0.39 MPa) (5.17 ± 0.22 MPa) (4.32 ± 0.69 MPa) compared to SARC specimens CONCLUSION: Irrespective of canal irrigant, fiber post bonded with TERC showed higher PBS at coronal and middle third. Fiber post bonded with SARC when irrigated with 5.25 % NaOCl with EDTA, 1% NaOCl displayed higher PBS at apical third. Canal disinfected using PDT showed lower PBS for FRCP compared to 5.25 % NaOCl with EDTA and 1% NaOCl.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE This systematic review documents the up-to-date evidence on the efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) on the push-out bond strength of fiber posts cemented to root dentin. MATERIALS AND METHODS The focused PICO question was: "What impact does PDT have on the push-out bond strength of fiber posts cemented to root dentin?" This systematic review followed the guidelines and recommendations reported in the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines chart. An electronic search was performed in MEDLINE/PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and Embase from January 1980 up to and including January 2020. Heterogeneity was calculated for push-out bond strength by means of the Chi-square test and I2 statistics. For meta-analyses, if the I2 was higher than 50 %, a random effects model was used, otherwise a fixed effects model for I2 ≤50 % was applied. A p-value <0.05 was set for significant heterogeneity. Forest plots were computed reporting standard mean differences (SMD) of outcomes and 95 % confidence intervals (CI). RESULTS In total, ten studies were included, all of wich demonstrated medium risk of bias. All studies tested the push-out bond strength by means of a universal testing machine with applying a load ranging between 0.5 and 1 mm/min speed. Of the 10 studies, nine (90 %) indicated that PDT had no effect on push-out bond strength of fiber posts to root dentin. Only one study indicated that PDT significantly improved the bond strength when compared with other control groups. The overall mean difference for push out bond strength showed no statistically significant difference between PDT and the control group (SMD = -1.11 [-3.25, 1.02], Z=-1.02, p = 0.305). CONCLUSION This systematic review concludes that PDT has no effect on improving the push-out bond strength of fiber posts to root dentin.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To evaluate the influence of photodynamic therapy (PDT) and light activated irrigation (LAI) using different laser prototypes Er,Cr:YSGG (ECYL), Er:Yag (EYL), Nd-Yag (NYL) on pushout bond strength of Pre-fabricated fiber reinforced composite (PFRC) post to radicular dentin. MATERIAL AND METHOD Fifty maxillary and mandibular teeth were collected, cleaned and decoronated. Canals were instrumented using crown-down technique. Flaring of canals was performed using protaper S1, SX files. F1, F2 and F3 files were utilized for finishing of canal preparations. Prepared root canals were dried and obturated with gutta percha. Teeth were placed vertically within the section of polyvinyl pipes using acrylic resin. Post space preparation was completed using peso-reamers. Based on the PDT and laser activated irrigation (LAI) with different laser prototypes, samples were divided into five groups of 10 specimens each. Group 1- PDT, group 2-5.25 % NaOCl (sodium hypochlorite) and 17 % EDTA (ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid), group 3-5.25 % NaOCl with 17 % EDTA and NYL, group 4-5.25 % NaOCl with 17 % EDTA and EYL ; and group 5-5.25 % NaOCl +17 % EDTA and ECYL. Fiber post were luted in root canals with self-etch dual cure cement and teeth were sectioned at three levels (apical, middle and coronal). Push-out test was performed by placing the specimens in universal testing machine. Failure analysis of debonded surfaces was evaluated using stereomicroscope at 40× magnification. Means and standard deviations of push out bond strength were assessed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Comparison between means of push out bond strength was evaluated using Tukey multiple comparison tests (p = 0.05). RESULT The highest push out bond strength was observed in group 5 at all three levels, coronal (10.08 ± 0.74 MPa), middle (8.95 ± 0.94 MPa) and apical (6.00 ± 0.88 MPa). The lowest push out bond strength was demonstrated by group 2 at all levels, coronal (6.15 ± 1.22 MPa), middle (5.65 ± 0.95 MPa) and apical (2.25 ± 0.55 MPa). Intra-group comparison showed decrease in push out bond strength in the coronal to apical direction among all investigated groups. Inter-group comparison exhibited comparable push out bond strength at all three levels of root for group 1 and group 2 specimens (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION LAI with different laser prototypes improved push out bond values of PFRC post to root dentin as an adjunct to NaOCl and EDTA treatment. PDT improved push out strength compared to conventional canal cleaning regime.

Abstract
Background The purpose of this experiment was to assess the push out bond strength of Polydimethylsiloxane sealers (GuttaFlow 2 and GuttaFlow Bioseal by Colte’ne/Whaledent, Altstätten, Switzerland). AH Plus (Dentsply, DeTrey, Konstanz, Germany) was used as a reference material for comparison. Methods Thirty root slices were prepared from the middle third of 10 mandibular premolars. Each slice was 1 ± 0.1 mm thick. Three holes, 0.8 mm wide each, were drilled on the axial side of each root slice. These holes were subjected to standardized irrigations and then dried using paper points. Finally, for each root slice, each hole was filled with exactly one of the following three root canal sealers: AH Plus, GuttaFlow 2 and GuttaFlow Bioseal. After all the holes were filled in that way, the root slices were stored on top of phosphate-buffered saline solution (pH 7.2) soaked gauze for 7 days at the temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. Then, for each root canal sealer on a root slice, the universal testing machine was used to measure the push out bond strength. The differences in push out bond strengths between the three sealer samples were assessed using the Friedman test, while the paired comparisons were assessed using Wilcoxon signed rank test with Bonferroni correction. All statistical tests were two-tailed and the significance level was set at the 5%. Results According to the Friedman test the distributions of push out bond strengths of AH Plus, GuttaFlow 2 and GuttaFlow Bioseal were different (P < 0.05). Paired comparisons indicated that AH Plus had a significantly superior push out bond strength than GuttaFlow 2 and GuttaFlow Bioseal, while the push out bond strength of GuttaFlow Bioseal was significantly stronger than that of GuttaFlow 2 (P < 0.01). Conclusions Based on these findings, AH Plus is a better root canal sealer than GuttaFlow 2 and GuttaFlow Bioseal.

Abstract
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of diode laser as a phototherapy on surface treatment of fiber post and its bond strength to resin core build-up material. In this in-vitro study fifty fiber post of 1 mm tip-diameter and 20 mm length were used. The posts were mounted and randomly divided into 5 groups (n = 10) according to different surface treatment methods i.e. Group 1: Control, Group 2: Application of 37% Phosphoric Acid, Group 3: Treated with 40% H2O2, Group 4: Sandblasted with 50 μm aluminium oxide particles and Group 5: treated with diode laser. In all specimens including control, a cylinder of resin composite around the fiber post was made. All Specimens were mounted in a universal testing machine. Push-out test was performed and bond strengths were calculated. Using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post hoc Tukey multiple comparisons test, means of push out bond strength were compared among the study groups. The highest bond strength was shown among Sandblasted [50 μm, Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3)] group [139.86] and the lowest push-out bond strength was observed in Control specimens [75.73]. The bond strength values of fiber post treated with Diode laser [100.81] and 40% H2O2 [105.64] were comparable.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sealing ability of three different root canal sealers with and without amoxicillin, using a push-out bond strength test. MATERIAL AND METHODS Sixty single-rooted extracted human teeth were used for this study. Each tooth was instrumented and irrigated with 5.25% Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and 17% EDTA. The teeth were then divided into six test groups: Gutta percha (GP)/AH Plus (Dentsply, Germany), GP/AH Plus with 10% amoxicillin (TEVA Pharmaceuticals Sellersville, PA), GP/Pulp Canal Sealer EWT (Extended Working Time, SybronEndo Orange, CA), GP/Pulp Canal Sealer EWT with amoxicillin, GP/Apexit Plus, GP/Apexit Plus (Vivadent, Tulsa, US) with amoxicillin. After the sealer was set, the entire root was sectioned into 1 mm thick slices. A push-out bond strength test was performed by using a universal testing machine. The Student's t-test was used to compare the sealer bond strength within the specific sealer test groups and within each sealer at apical, middle and coronal root levels. RESULTS There was no significant difference between the groups within each sealer (p>0.05) with or without amoxicillin at the same root level. CONCLUSION This study demonstrated that the addition of 10% by weight of amoxicillin does not significantly (p> 0.05) change the overall push-out bond strength of three endodontic sealers when compared at the apical, middle, and coronal tooth level.
