Dislocation of the hip after normal sonographic screening examination: a case report and literature review. Ann R Coll Surg Engl 2022; 104:e187-e189. Abstract
We report the case of a five-month-old girl presenting with a subluxed left hip following normal neonatal clinical examination and serial ultrasound screening. Her only risk factor for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) was breech presentation. She underwent closed reduction with successful concentric reduction. This case demonstrates that hip subluxation can occur after normal ultrasound screening, and has important clinical and medicolegal implications. Consideration should be given to further follow-up in children with overt risk factors for DDH, even after normal ultrasound examination.

Nondestructive quantification of chemical and physical properties of fruits by time-resolved reflectance spectroscopy in the wavelength range 650-1000 nm. APPLIED OPTICS 2001; 40:538-43. Abstract
Time-resolved reflectance spectroscopy can be used to assess nondestructively the bulk (rather than the superficial) optical properties of highly diffusive media. A fully automated system for time-resolved reflectance spectroscopy was used to evaluate the absorption and the transport scattering spectra of fruits in the red and the near-infrared regions. In particular, data were collected in the range 650-1000 nm from three varieties of apples and from peaches, kiwifruits, and tomatoes. The absorption spectra were usually dominated by the water peak near 970 nm, whereas chlorophyll was detected at 675 nm. For all species the scattering decreased progressively with increasing wavelength. A best fit to water and chlorophyll absorption line shapes and to Mie theory permitted the estimation of water and chlorophyll content and the average size of scattering centers in the bulk of intact fruits.

Antideuteron yield at the AGS and coalescence implications. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2000; 85:2685-2688. Abstract
We present Experiment 864's measurement of invariant antideuteron yields in 11.5A GeV/c Au+Pt collisions. The analysis includes 250x10(6) triggers representing 14x10(9) 10% central interactions sampled for events with high mass candidates. We find (1/2pip(t))d(2)N/dydp(t) = 3.5+/-1.5(stat)+0.9-0.5(syst)x10(-8) GeV-2 c(2) for 1.8<y<2.2, < p(t)> = 0.35 GeV/c ( y(c.m.) = 1.6) and 3.7+/-2.7(stat)+1.4-1.5(syst)x10(-8) GeV-2 c(2) for 1.4<y<1.8, < p(t)> = 0.26 GeV/c, and a coalescence parameter B2; of 4.1+/-2. 9(stat)+2.3-2.4(syst)x10(-3) GeV2 c(-3). Implications for coalescence and antimatter annihilation are discussed.
