Abstract
In the field of sensory neuroprostheses, one ultimate goal is for individuals to perceive artificial somatosensory information and use the prosthesis with high complexity that resembles an intact system. To this end, research has shown that stimulation-elicited somatosensory information improves prosthesis perception and task performance. While studies strive to achieve sensory integration, a crucial phenomenon that entails naturalistic interaction with the environment, this topic has not been commensurately reviewed. Therefore, here we present a perspective for understanding sensory integration in neuroprostheses. First, we review the engineering aspects and functional outcomes in sensory neuroprosthesis studies. In this context, we summarize studies that have suggested sensory integration. We focus on how they have used stimulation-elicited percepts to maximize and improve the reliability of somatosensory information. Next, we review studies that have suggested multisensory integration. These works have demonstrated that congruent and simultaneous multisensory inputs provided cognitive benefits such that an individual experiences a greater sense of authority over prosthesis movements (i.e., agency) and perceives the prosthesis as part of their own (i.e., ownership). Thereafter, we present the theoretical and neuroscience framework of sensory integration. We investigate how behavioral models and neural recordings have been applied in the context of sensory integration. Sensory integration models developed from intact-limb individuals have led the way to sensory neuroprosthesis studies to demonstrate multisensory integration. Neural recordings have been used to show how multisensory inputs are processed across cortical areas. Lastly, we discuss some ongoing research and challenges in achieving and understanding sensory integration in sensory neuroprostheses. Resolving these challenges would help to develop future strategies to improve the sensory feedback of a neuroprosthetic system.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Tremors are involuntary rhythmic movements commonly present in neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and multiple sclerosis. Intention tremor is a subtype associated with lesions in the cerebellum and its connected pathways, and it is a common symptom in diseases associated with cerebellar pathology. While clinicians traditionally use tests to identify tremor type and severity, recent advancements in wearable technology have provided quantifiable ways to measure movement and tremor using motion capture systems, app-based tasks and tools, and physiology-based measurements. However, quantifying intention tremor remains challenging due to its changing nature. METHODOLOGY & RESULTS This review examines the current state of upper limb tremor assessment technology and discusses potential directions to further develop new and existing algorithms and sensors to better quantify tremor, specifically intention tremor. A comprehensive search using PubMed and Scopus was performed using keywords related to technologies for tremor assessment. Afterward, screened results were filtered for relevance and eligibility and further classified into technology type. A total of 243 publications were selected for this review and classified according to their type: body function level: movement-based, activity level: task and tool-based, and physiology-based. Furthermore, each publication's methods, purpose, and technology are summarized in the appendix table. CONCLUSIONS Our survey suggests a need for more targeted tasks to evaluate intention tremors, including digitized tasks related to intentional movements, neurological and physiological measurements targeting the cerebellum and its pathways, and signal processing techniques that differentiate voluntary from involuntary movement in motion capture systems.

Abstract
Using an 185-kg NaI[Tl] array, COHERENT has measured the inclusive electron-neutrino charged-current cross section on ^{127}I with pion decay-at-rest neutrinos produced by the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Iodine is one the heaviest targets for which low-energy (≤50 MeV) inelastic neutrino-nucleus processes have been measured, and this is the first measurement of its inclusive cross section. After a five-year detector exposure, COHERENT reports a flux-averaged cross section for electron neutrinos of 9.2_{-1.8}^{+2.1}×10^{-40} cm^{2}. This corresponds to a value that is ∼41% lower than predicted using the MARLEY event generator with a measured Gamow-Teller strength distribution. In addition, the observed visible spectrum from charged-current scattering on ^{127}I has been measured between 10 and 55 MeV, and the exclusive zero-neutron and one-or-more-neutron emission cross sections are measured to be 5.2_{-3.1}^{+3.4}×10^{-40} and 2.2_{-0.5}^{+0.4}×10^{-40} cm^{2}, respectively.

Perceptually Weighted Rate Distortion Optimization for Video-Based Point Cloud Compression. Abstract
Dynamic point cloud is a volumetric visual data representing realistic 3D scenes for virtual reality and augmented reality applications. However, its large data volume has been the bottleneck of data processing, transmission, and storage, which requires effective compression. In this paper, we propose a Perceptually Weighted Rate-Distortion Optimization (PWRDO) scheme for Video-based Point Cloud Compression (V-PCC), which aims to minimize the perceptual distortion of reconstructed point cloud at the given bit rate. Firstly, we propose a general framework of perceptually optimized V-PCC to exploit visual redundancies in point clouds. Secondly, a multi-scale Projection based Point Cloud quality Metric (PPCM) is proposed to measure the perceptual quality of 3D point cloud. The PPCM model comprises 3D-to-2D patch projection, multi-scale structural distortion measurement, and fusion model. Approximations and simplifications of the proposed PPCM are also presented for both V-PCC integration and low complexity. Thirdly, based on the simplified PPCM model, we propose a PWRDO scheme with Lagrange multiplier adaptation, which is incorporated into the V-PCC to enhance the coding efficiency. Experimental results show that the proposed PPCM models can be used as standalone quality metrics, and they are able to achieve higher consistency with the human subjective scores than the state-of-the-art objective visual quality metrics. Also, compared with the latest V-PCC reference model, the proposed PWRDO-based V-PCC scheme achieves an average bit rate reduction of 13.52%, 8.16%, 10.56% and 9.54%, respectively, in terms of four objective visual quality metrics for point clouds. It is significantly superior to the state-of-the-art coding algorithms. The computational complexity of the proposed PWRDO increases by 1.71% and 0.05% on average to the V-PCC encoder and decoder, respectively, which is negligible. Abstract
Yang ke xuan cui («») is a surgical work compiled by Chen Wenzhi () of the Ming Dynasty. There are few of research on the completion and author of the book. Based on the evidences in the local chronicles, the prefaces and postscripts of the book, it has been verified that the book was originally completed no later than 1591, and Chen Wenzhi passed away no later than 1623. After investigating the 6 editions collected by 8 institutions, a collection of 11 books in total, by comparing the characteristics and circulation relationship of each edition, two systems of circulation were sorted out: block-printed edition of Xu Xi () and review edition of Xu Dachun ().

Abstract
The COHERENT Collaboration searched for scalar dark matter particles produced at the Spallation Neutron Source with masses between 1 and 220 MeV/c^{2} using a CsI[Na] scintillation detector sensitive to nuclear recoils above 9 keV_{nr}. No evidence for dark matter is found and we thus place limits on allowed parameter space. With this low-threshold detector, we are sensitive to coherent elastic scattering between dark matter and nuclei. The cross section for this process is orders of magnitude higher than for other processes historically used for accelerator-based direct-detection searches so that our small, 14.6 kg detector significantly improves on past constraints. At peak sensitivity, we reject the flux consistent with the cosmologically observed dark-matter concentration for all coupling constants α_{D}<0.64, assuming a scalar dark-matter particle. We also calculate the sensitivity of future COHERENT detectors to dark-matter signals which will ambitiously test multiple dark-matter spin scenarios.

Abstract
Touch-like phantom limb sensations can be elicited through targeted transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (tTENS) in individuals with upper limb amputation. The corresponding impact of sensory stimulation on cortical activity remains an open question. Brain network research shows that sensorimotor cortical activity is supported by dynamic changes in functional connections between relevant brain regions. These groups of interconnected regions are functional modules whose architecture enables specialized function and related neural processing supporting individual task needs. Using electroencephalographic (EEG) signals to analyze modular functional connectivity, we investigated changes in the modular architecture of cortical large-scale systems when participants with upper limb amputations performed phantom hand movements before, during, and after they received tTENS. We discovered that tTENS substantially decreased the flexibility of the default mode network (DMN). Furthermore, we found increased interconnectivity (measured by a graph theoretic integration metric) between the DMN, the somatomotor network (SMN) and the visual network (VN) in the individual with extensive tTENS experience. While for individuals with less tTENS experience, we found increased integration between DMN and the attention network. Our results provide insights into how sensory stimulation promotes cortical processing of combined somatosensory and visual inputs and help develop future tools to evaluate sensory combination for individuals with amputations.

Abstract
We measured the cross section of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) using a CsI[Na] scintillating crystal in a high flux of neutrinos produced at the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. New data collected before detector decommissioning have more than doubled the dataset since the first observation of CEvNS, achieved with this detector. Systematic uncertainties have also been reduced with an updated quenching model, allowing for improved precision. With these analysis improvements, the COHERENT Collaboration determined the cross section to be (165_{-25}^{+30})×10^{-40} cm^{2}, consistent with the standard model, giving the most precise measurement of CEvNS yet. The timing structure of the neutrino beam has been exploited to compare the CEvNS cross section from scattering of different neutrino flavors. This result places leading constraints on neutrino nonstandard interactions while testing lepton flavor universality and measures the weak mixing angle as sin^{2}θ_{W}=0.220_{-0.026}^{+0.028} at Q^{2}≈(50 MeV)^{2}.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to examine the tolerability and efficacy of combination bevacizumab rucaparib therapy in patients with recurrent cervical or endometrial cancer. PATIENTS & METHODS Thirty-three patients with recurrent cervical or endometrial cancer were enrolled. Patients were required to have tumor progression after first line treatment for metastatic, or recurrent disease. Rucaparib was given at 600 mg BID twice daily for each 21-day cycle. Bevacizumab was given at 15 mg/kg on day 1 of each 21-day cycle. The primary endpoint was efficacy as determined by objective response rate or 6-month progression free survival. RESULTS Of the 33 patients enrolled, 28 were evaluable. Patients with endometrial cancer had a response rate of 17% while patients with cervical cancer had a response rate of 14%. Median progression free survival was 3.8 months (95% C·I 2.5 to 5.7 months), and median overall survival was 10.1 months (95% C·I 7.0 to 15.1 months). Patients with ARID1A mutations displayed a better response rate (33%) and 6-month progression free survival (PFS6) rate (67%) than the entire study population. Observed toxicity was similar to that of previous studies with bevacizumab and rucaparib. CONCLUSIONS The combination of bevacizumab with rucaparib did not show significantly increased anti-tumor activity in all patients with recurrent cervical or endometrial cancer. However, patients with ARID1A mutations had a higher response rate and PFS6 suggesting this subgroup may benefit from the combination of bevacizumab and rucaparib. Further study is needed to confirm this observation. No new safety signals were seen.

Abstract
Objective: To retrospectively analyze the pregnancy outcomes of patients with adenomyosis requiring fertility in a single center under real world condition. Methods: From June 2015 to May 2020, 231 cases of pregnancy complicated with adenomyosis diagnosed by ultrasound with fertility requirements were treated in the Women's and Children's Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University with complete clinical data. And they were divided into three groups according to the treatment of adenomyosis before pregnancy: expectation group, drug group and operation group. The relevant data before pregnancy of the three groups were analyzed, and the pregnancy outcomes of the patients were summarized. According to whether the early pregnancy was treated with medication, the patients who were naturally conceived without symptoms of threatened abortion were divided into observation group and fetus protection group, and the pregnancy outcomes of the two groups were compared. Results: (1) Compared with the expectation group, the ages of patients in the drug group and the operation group were larger [(31.5±1.8) vs (34.1±3.7) vs (36.9±3.6) years old], and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Only 9 patients (11.5%, 9/78) had clinical symptoms in the expectation group, while the patients in the drug group and the operation group had a higher proportion of dysmenorrhea and increased menstrual volume. The uterine volume of the drug group and the operation group were larger than that of the expectation group [(151±46) vs (166±27) vs (97±18) cm3], the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 78.6% (33/42) of the operation group were focal adenomyosis. The proportion of natural pregnancy in the expectation group was 97.4% (76/78), and in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer was mainly used in the drug group and the operation group. (2) The abortion rates of the three groups were 48.7% (26/111), 4/17, 67.5% (27/78) respectively. Compared with the drug group and the operation group, the preterm birth rate was lower [55.9% (33/111) vs 11/17 vs 12.5% (5/78)] and the natural delivery rate was higher [44.1% (26/111) vs 4/17 vs 67.5% (27/78)] in the expectation group. (3) There were 89 cases of spontaneous pregnancy without threatened abortion symptoms, including 31 cases in the observation group and 58 cases in the fetus protection group. Compared with the observation group, the abortion rate of patients in the fetus protection group was lower [41.9% (13/31) vs 34.5% (20/58)], and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions: Patients with adenomyosis who have fertility requirements should be comprehensively evaluated and individualized treatment plans should be given. Pregnancy patients with adenomyosis have a high rate of miscarriage, and they should be included in the management of high-risk pregnant women. Active fetal protection treatment during early pregnancy might improve pregnancy outcomes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the role of miRNAs in amniotic fluid exosomes in growth and development of fetuses with Down syndrome (DS). METHODS Amniotic fluid were collected from 20 fetuses with DS and 20 normal fetuses (control) to extract amniotic exosome miRNA. MicroRNA sequencing technique was used to identify the differentially expressed miRNAs between the two groups, for which gene ontology (GO) and pathway analysis was performed. Three differentially expressed miRNAs with the strongest correlation with DS phenotype were selected for qPCR verification. Dual luciferase reporter assay was used to verify the activity of let-7d-5p for targeted regulation of BACH1. RESULTS We identified 15 differentially expressed miRNAs in DS as compared with the control group, among which 7 miRNAs were up-regulated and 8 were down-regulated. Target gene prediction results showed that the differentially expressed miRNAs targeted 17 DS-related genes. GO analysis revealed that the main functions of the target genes involved protein binding, protein transport, ATP binding, transferase activity and synapses. Pathway analysis revealed that the functional pathways were closely related with the development of the nervous system. qPCR results showed that the expression levels of miR-140-3p and let-7d-5p were significantly lower in DS group than in the control group (P < 0.05), as was consistent with miRNA sequencing results; the expression level of miR-4512 was significantly higher in DS group than in control group (P < 0.05), which was contrary to miRNA sequencing results. The results of double luciferase reporter gene assay confirmed that let-7d-5p was capable of targeted regulation of BACH1 expression. CONCLUSION Let-7d-5p in amniotic fluid exosomes may promote oxidative stress events in the brain of fetuses with DS by regulating BACH1 expression.

A mechanically robust metasurface exhibiting plasmonic colors across the visible and the near-IR spectrum is designed, fabricated, and characterized. Thin TiN layers (41 nm in thickness) prepared by plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (ALD) are patterned with sub-wavelength apertures (75 nm to 150 nm radii), arranged with hexagonal periodicity. These patterned films exhibit extraordinary transmission in the visible and the near-IR spectrum (550 nm to 1040 nm), which is accessible by conventional Si CCD detectors. The TiN structures are shown to withstand high levels of mechanical stresses, tested by rubbing the films against a lint-free cloth under 14.5 kPa of load for 30 minutes, while structures patterned on gold, a widely used plasmonic material, do not. The subwavelength nature of the plasmonic resonances, coupled with robustness and durability of TiN, makes these structures an attractive choice for use in nanoscale security features for heavily handled objects. Furthermore, ALD of these films enables scalability, which in conjunction with the cost-effectiveness of the process and material (TiN) makes the entire process industry friendly.

Abstract
A novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread worldwide and led to high disease burden around the world. This study aimed to explore the key parameters of SARS-CoV-2 infection and to assess the effectiveness of interventions to control the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). A susceptible-exposed-infectious-asymptomatic-recovered (SEIAR) model was developed for the assessment. The information of each confirmed case and asymptomatic infection was collected from Ningbo Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to calculate the key parameters of the model in Ningbo City, China. A total of 157 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 51 imported cases and 106 secondary cases) and 30 asymptomatic infections were reported in Ningbo City. The proportion of asymptomatic infections had an increasing trend. The proportion of elder people in the asymptomatic infections was lower than younger people, and the difference was statistically significant (Fisher's Exact Test, P = 0.034). There were 22 clusters associated with 167 SARS-CoV-2 infections, among which 29 cases were asymptomatic infections, accounting for 17.37%. We found that the secondary attack rate (SAR) of asymptomatic infections was almost the same as that of symptomatic cases, and no statistical significance was observed (χ2 = 0.052, P = 0.819) by Kruskal-Wallis test. The effective reproduction number (Reff) was 1.43, which revealed that the transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 was moderate. If the interventions had not been strengthened, the duration of the outbreak would have lasted about 16 months with a simulated attack rate of 44.15%. The total attack rate (TAR) and duration of the outbreak would increase along with the increasing delay of intervention. SARS-CoV-2 had moderate transmissibility in Ningbo City, China. The proportion of asymptomatic infections had an increase trend. Asymptomatic infections had the same transmissibility as symptomatic infections. The integrated interventions were implemented at different stages during the outbreak, which turned out to be exceedingly effective in China.

Abstract
Current developments being made in upper limb prostheses are focused on replacing lost sensory information to the amputees. Providing sensory stimulation from the prosthesis can directly improve control over the prosthetic and provide a sense of body ownership. The focus of this review article is on recent developments while including foundational knowledge for some of the critical concepts in neural prostheses. Reported concepts follow the flow of information from sensors to signal processing, with emphasis on texture recognition, and then to sensory stimulation strategies that reestablish the lost sensory feedback loop. Prosthetic sensors are used to detect the physical environment, converting pressure, force, and position into electrical signals. The electrical signals can then be processed in an effort to identify the surrounding environment using distinctive characteristics such as stiffness and texture. In order for the amputee to use this information in a natural manner, there must be real-time sensory stimulation, perception, and motor control of the prosthesis. Although truly complete sensory replacement has not yet been realized, some basic percepts can be partially restored, allowing progress towards a more realistic prosthesis with natural sensations.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE A major challenge for controlling a prosthetic arm is communication between the device and the user's phantom limb. We show the ability to enhance phantom limb perception and improve movement decoding through targeted transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation in individuals with an arm amputation. APPROACH Transcutaneous nerve stimulation experiments were performed with four participants with arm amputation to map phantom limb perception. We measured myoelectric signals during phantom hand movements before and after participants received sensory stimulation. Using electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring, we measured the neural activity in sensorimotor regions during phantom movements and stimulation. In one participant, we also tracked sensory mapping over 2 years and movement decoding performance over 1 year. MAIN RESULTS Results show improvements in the participants' ability to perceive and move the phantom hand as a result of sensory stimulation, which leads to improved movement decoding. In the extended study with one participant, we found that sensory mapping remains stable over 2 years. Sensory stimulation improves within-day movement decoding while performance remains stable over 1 year. From the EEG, we observed cortical correlates of sensorimotor integration and increased motor-related neural activity as a result of enhanced phantom limb perception. SIGNIFICANCE This work demonstrates that phantom limb perception influences prosthesis control and can benefit from targeted nerve stimulation. These findings have implications for improving prosthesis usability and function due to a heightened sense of the phantom hand.

Abstract
The compliant nature of soft fingers allows for safe and dexterous manipulation of objects by humans in an unstructured environment. A soft prosthetic finger design with tactile sensing capabilities for texture discrimination and subsequent sensory stimulation has the potential to create a more natural experience for an amputee. In this work, a pneumatically actuated soft biomimetic finger is integrated with a textile neuromorphic tactile sensor array for a texture discrimination task. The tactile sensor outputs were converted into neuromorphic spike trains, which emulate the firing pattern of biological mechanoreceptors. Spike-based features from each taxel compressed the information and were then used as inputs for the support vector machine classifier to differentiate the textures. Our soft biomimetic finger with neuromorphic encoding was able to achieve an average overall classification accuracy of 99.57% over 16 independent parameters when tested on 13 standardized textured surfaces. The 16 parameters were the combination of 4 angles of flexion of the soft finger and 4 speeds of palpation. To aid in the perception of more natural objects and their manipulation, subjects were provided with transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation to convey a subset of four textures with varied textural information. Three able-bodied subjects successfully distinguished two or three textures with the applied stimuli. This work paves the way for a more human-like prosthesis through a soft biomimetic finger with texture discrimination capabilities using neuromorphic techniques that provide sensory feedback; furthermore, texture feedback has the potential to enhance user experience when interacting with their surroundings.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 on atherosclerotic progression in apolipoprotein-E knockout (ApoE-/-) mice fed with a high-fat diet and the underlying mechanisms of its action. MATERIALS AND METHODS Eight-week-old ApoE-/- mice were treated with Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 daily for 12 weeks. ApoE-/- mice in the vehicle group and wild type (WT) mice were treated with normal saline. Serum lipid levels, histopathological analysis of the aorta, oxidative and inflammatory indexes and activation of the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway were examined. RESULTS Compared to ApoE-/- mice in the vehicle group, no changes in body weight or serum lipid levels were found in ApoE-/- mice treated with Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1. However, the administration of GR-1 slowed down the development of atherosclerosis and reduced plaque formation. Additionally, GR-1 attenuated the development of oxidative stress and chronic inflammation in a dose-dependent manner in ApoE-/- mice fed a high-fat diet. Furthermore, in ApoE-/- mice treated with GR-1, GR-1 was demonstrated to have a role in inhibiting the translocation of NF-κB p65 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and suppressing the degradation of IκB-α. CONCLUSIONS We showed that the administration of GR-1 decreased atherosclerotic lesion size in ApoE-/- mice by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation. Additionally, the NF-κB signaling pathway might mediate these effects.

Abstract
Sensory feedback in upper limb amputees is crucial for improving movement decoding and also to enhance embodiment of the prosthetic limb. Recently, an increasing number of invasive and noninvasive solutions for sensory stimulation have demonstrated the capability of providing a range of sensations to upper limb amputees. However, the cortical impact of restored sensation is not clearly understood. Particularly, understanding the cortical connectivity changes at multiple scales (nodal and modular) in response to sensory stimulation, can reveal crucial information on how amputees brain process the sensory stimuli. Using Electroencephalography (EEG) signals, we compared the cortical connectivity network in response to sensory feedback provided by targeted transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (tTENS) in an upper limb amputee during phantom upper limb movements. We focused our cortical connectivity analysis on four functional modules comprising of 20 brain regions that are primarily associated with a visually guided motor task (visual, motor, somatosensory and multisensory integration (MI)) used in this study. At the modular level, we observed that the hubness (a graph theoretic measure quantifying the importance of brain regions in integrating brain function) of the motor module decreases whereas that of the somatosensory module increases in presence of tTENS feedback. At the nodal level, similar observations were made for the visual and MI regions. This is the first work to reveal the impact of sensory feedback at multiple scales in the cortex of amputees in response to sensory stimulation.

Abstract
Background:Secukinumab (SEC), an interleukin-17A inhibitor, has demonstrated improvements on multiple domains of psoriatic arthritis (PsA).1Adalimumab (ADA), a TNF inhibitor, is widely used as a first–line biologic in PsA.Objectives:To report efficacy and safety outcomes from the head-to-head EXCEED trial (NCT02745080) that compares SECvs.ADA as first–line biologic monotherapy through 52-weeks (wks), with a musculoskeletal primary endpoint in pts with active PsA.Methods:Head-to-head, phase-3b, randomised, double-blind trial: biologic naïve active PsA pts were randomised to receive SEC 300mg subcutaneous at baseline, Wk1-4, and then every 4wks (q4w) until Wk48 or ADA 40mg subcutaneous at baseline and then q2w until Wk50. The primary endpoint was superiority of SECvs.ADA on ACR20 response at Wk52. Binary and continuous variables were analysed using logistic-regression model and MMRM, respectively. Safety analysis included patients who received ≥1 dose of study-drug.Results:853 pts were randomised to receive SEC (n=426) or ADA (n=427). Baseline demographics and disease characteristics were comparable between treatment-groups except higher proportion of female pts and pts without enthesitis in the SEC group. ACR20 response at Wk52 for SECvs.ADA were 67·4%vs.61·5%, respectively (p=0·0719) (Figure). Higher clinical responses were observed with SECvs.ADA for a range of musculoskeletal, skin, and higher-hurdle outcomes (Table). A higher retention rate was observed for SEC (85.7%)vs.ADA (76.3%). Safety profiles of SEC and ADA were consistent with previous reports.2,3Conclusion:Results suggest that SEC is at least as efficacious as ADA on musculoskeletal endpoints whilst providing higher responses on skin endpoints, and is associated with a higher retention rate. Abstract
Background:Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a heterogeneous disease comprising musculoskeletal and dermatological manifestations, especially plaque psoriasis.1Secukinumab (SEC), an IL-17A inhibitor, provided significantly greater PASI 75/100 responses in a head-to-head trialversus (vs.) etanercept, a TNF inhibitor, in patients (pts) with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.2The objective of the EXCEED study (NCT02745080) was to investigate whether SEC is superior to adalimumab (ADA), a TNF inhibitor, as monotherapy in biologic-naive active PsA pts with active plaque psoriasis (defined as having at least one psoriatic plaque of ≥2 cm diameter or nail changes consistent with psoriasis or documented history of plaque psoriasis).Objectives:To report the pre-specified skin outcomes from the EXCEED study in the subset of pts with at least 3% body surface area (BSA) affected with psoriasis at baseline.Methods:Head-to-head, phase-3b, randomised, double-blind, active-controlled, multicentre, parallel-group trial: pts were randomised to receive SEC 300 mg subcutaneous at baseline, Week 1-4, followed by dosing every 4 weeks (q4w) until Week 48 or ADA 40 mg subcutaneous at baseline followed by same dosing q2w until Week 50. The primary endpoint was superiority of SECvs.ADA on ACR20 response at Week 52. Pre-specified outcomes included the proportion of pts achieving a combined ACR50 and PASI 100 response, PASI 100 response, and absolute PASI score ≤3. Missing data was handled using multiple imputation.Results:853 pts were randomised to receive SEC (n=426) or ADA (n=427). At baseline, there were 215 and 202 pts having at least 3% BSA affected with psoriasis in the SEC and ADA groups, respectively. A higher proportion of patients achieved simultaneous improvement in ACR50 and PASI 100 response with SECvs.ADA (30·7%vs.19·2%; P=0·0087 [Figure]). Abstract
Photoluminescence (PL) was used to estimate the concentration of carbon in GaN grown by hydride vapor phase epitaxy (HVPE). The PL data were compared with profiles of the impurities obtained from secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) measurements. Comparison of PL and SIMS data has revealed that apparently high concentrations of C and O at depths up to 1 µm in SIMS profiles do not represent depth distributions of these species in the GaN matrix but are rather caused by post-growth surface contamination and knocking-in impurity species from the surface. In particular, PL analysis supplemented by reactive ion etching up to the depth of 400 nm indicates that the concentration of carbon in nitrogen sites is below 2-5 × 1015 cm-3 at any depth of GaN samples grown by HVPE. We demonstrate that PL is a very sensitive and reliable tool to determine the concentrations of impurities in the GaN matrix.

Abstract
Background The reported incidence of dengue fever increased dramatically in recent years in China. This study aimed to investigate and to assess the effectiveness of intervention implemented in a dengue outbreak in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. Methods Data of a dengue outbreak were collected in Ningbo City in China by a field epidemiological survey according to a strict protocol and case definition. Serum specimens of all cases were collected for diagnosis and the virological characteristics were detected by using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and gene sequencing. Vector surveillance was implemented during the outbreak to collect the larva and adult mosquito densities to calculate the Breteau Index (BI) and human biting rate (HBR), respectively. Data of monthly BI and light-trap density in 2018 were built to calculate the seasonality of the vector. A transmission mathematical model was developed to dynamic the incidence of the disease. The parameters of the model were estimated by the data of the outbreak and vector surveillance data in 2018. The effectiveness of the interventions implemented during the outbreak was assessed by the data and the modelling. Results From 11 August to 8 September, 2018, a dengue outbreak was reported with 27 confirmed cases in a population of 5536-people community (community A) of Ningbo City. Whole E gene sequences were obtained from 24 cases and were confirmed as dengue virus type 1 (DENV-1). The transmission source of the outbreak was origin from community B where a dengue case having the same E gene sequence was onset on 30 July. Aedes albopictus was the only vector species in the area. The value of BI and HBR was 57.5 and 12 per person per hour respectively on 18 August, 2018 and decreased dramatically after interventions. The transmission model fitted well (χ2 = 6.324, P = 0.388) with the reported cases data. With no intervention, the total simulated number of the cases would be 1728 with a total attack rate (TAR) of 31.21% (95%CI: 29.99%– 32.43%). Case isolation and larva control (LC) have almost the same TAR and duration of outbreak (DO) as no intervention. Different levels of reducing HBR (rHBR) had different effectiveness with TARs ranging from 1.05% to 31.21% and DOs ranging from 27 days to 102 days. Adult vector control (AVC) had a very low TAR and DO. “LC+AVC” had a similar TAR and DO as that of AVC. “rHBR100%+LC”, “rHBR100%+AVC”, “rHBR100%+LC+AVC” and “rHBR100%+LC+AVC+Iso” had the same effectiveness. Conclusions Without intervention, DENV-1 could be transmitted rapidly within a short period of time and leads to high attack rate in community in China. AVC or rHBR should be recommended as primary interventions to control rapid transmission of the dengue virus at the early stage of an outbreak. Dengue has led to heavy disease burden in China. The reported incidence of the disease increased dramatically in recent years and cases have expanded from southern to central and northern part of China. In this study, the findings include that DENV-1 can transmit rapidly with a short period of time and leads to high attack rate in community, and that rHBR or AVC should be recommended as primary interventions to control rapid transmission of dengue virus at the early stage of an outbreak. Therefore, dengue outbreak is at high risk in many areas in China because of the potential high receptivity (widely distribution of Ae. albopictus) and vulnerability (high frequency of the importation) of the transmission. The high transmissibility of the virus makes it hard and urgent to control the outbreak. Delayed intervention (larvae control or case isolation) is hard to show its effectiveness and the interventions without delay are strongly recommended. Bed net or mosquito repellents were encouraged to use in the community to reduce HBR, and space spraying of insecticides were recommended to control adult vector during the outbreak.

Abstract
Objective: By analyzing the examination results of physical examination of workers exposed to DMF among 32 factories in some areas of a province, to investigate the working years of dimethylformamide (DMF) poisoning and the impact on the health status of exposed workers, and to explore the targeted intervention strategies. Methods: From February to May 2018, 2, 457 workers exposed to DMF in some areas of Jiangsu Province were selected as survey targets. Cross-sectional survey was conducted to investigate the health status of workers exposed to health, And the health surveillance data, detection data of occupational disease risk factors in the workplace were collected and analyzed, respectively. Results: The positive rate of abnormal liver function and B-ultrasound of males exposed to DMF was significantly higher than that of females. The abnormal rates of liver function, blood pressure and B-ultrasound in workers aged between 60 and 69 were higher in contrast to those in any other age groups. And the differences was statistically significant. In particular, the highest rate of abnormal blood pressure was found in workers exposed 21-30 years (39.2%) , the highest rate of abnormal liver function was found in workers exposed 11-20 years (44.3%) , and the highest rate of abnormal B-ultrasound was found in workers exposed 0-10 years (60.4%) . Conclusion: Long-term exposure to dimethylformamide can affect workers' liver function and blood pressure. Specifically, with the increase of contact age, the degree of chronic damage to liver, cardiovascular and other organs also increases.
