Abstract
Non-medicinal interventions (NMI) are recommended as a first-line treatment in gerontology in response to a behavioural disorder. The Théra Berce pilot study at the Nice University Hospital aims to determine whether the NMI corresponding to rocking in a comfort chair allows a reduction in disruptive behavioural disorders in people with neurocognitive disorders. Benefits and limitations.

Abstract
The increasing number of residents suffering from neurocognitive diseases, in nursing homes, makes care complex. Behavioral disorders, associated with these pathologies, generate many feelings among professional caregivers which can influence care practices.

Abstract
When cognitive disorders in the elderly are significant, for caregivers there remains the possibility of empathy, relational calm, time needed to help them access their memory, and escape the terrible sensation of not knowing. Entering a closed space dedicated to these seniors means creating contact with people who are lost in the twists and turns of a story they no longer recognise as their own. Feedback from an art-therapy workshop with cognitively fragile seniors, cut off from all references.

Abstract
Managing aggression and agitation in elderly people with dementia can be seen from the perspective of certain conditions. Some therapies, particularly the use of neuroleptics, should be avoided. The need to put limits on non-pharmacological treatments must be emphasised.

Abstract
Cognitive disorders of Alzheimer's disease are not the only determinants of the behavioral disorders of the elderly. A transgressive will may be underlying, related to the life story or archaic psychological defense mechanisms. As a result, their human environment is distressed which sometimes aggravates behavioral problems. In institutions, this situation increases the psycho-social risks.

Abstract
A study analysed, on the one hand, the efficacy of the use of music therapy with residents and, on the other, the feasibility of the implementation of such a technique in nursing homes and in follow-up and rehabilitation units. In this context, music therapy seems to be an effective alternative to traditional approaches.

Abstract
Behavioural disorders linked to dementia are common. The intertwining of psychiatric and neurodegenerative pathologies means caregivers are faced with complex situations on a daily basis. The expertise of the geriatric psychiatry teams helps to guide the clinical reasoning and to find the best nursing approach in order to understand the symptom and support the patient.

Abstract
Dementia is frequently associated with behavioural disorders that can be difficult to manage. In regards to these symptoms, psychoactive drugs are not very effective and have many potential side effects. In order to take care of patients with such severe disorders, specific units called "reinforced hosting units" ("UHR; Unités d'Hébergement Renforcées" in French) have been developed within long term care units. Specifically trained teams take care of these patients in specially designed settings. A French national inquiry has studied the development, the characteristics and the activity of these units in 2013 and 2012.
