Abstract
The synthesis of chiral gem-difluorinated spiro-heterocyclic compounds continues to be a significant challenge in organic chemistry due to their widespread applications across various fields. Therefore, efficient asymmetric approaches for the synthesis of gem-difluorinated spiroindanone-dihydroquinazolinones are particularly valuable, especially in the industrial manufacturing of chiral fluorinated drugs. Herein, we developed the CPA-catalyzed asymmetric enantioselective cyclization reactions of gem-difluoroalkyl 1,3-indandiones with anthranilamides to achieve various chiral 2,2-difluoro-spiroindanone-dihydroquinazolinones in good to high yields with excellent enantioselectivities. Moreover, the mechanism experiment proved that the gem-difluoro substitution pattern promotes the reaction.

Abstract
Regioselective C-H difluoroalkylation of diverse 2-pyridones with ethyl bromodifluoroacetates and bromodifluoroacetamides is accomplished by using a (dppf)NiCl2 catalyst under mild conditions. This efficient protocol could deliver a variety of C-3 difluoroalkylated pyridones with the tolerance of a range of highly susceptible functionalities, such as -Cl, -Br, -I, -COMe, -CN, -NMe2 and -NO2, including heteroarenes like pyridinyl, furanyl, thiophenyl and carbazolyl moieties. A preliminary mechanistic study suggests the radical pathway for the reaction involving fluoroalkyl radical intermediate.

Abstract
Here we report B(C6F5)3/CPA-catalyzed enantioselective aza-Diels-Alder reaction of 3,3-difluoro-2-Aryl-3H-indoles with unactivated dienes to access chiral 10,10-difluoro-tetrahydropyrido[1,2-a]indoles. This protocol allows the formation of pyrazole-based C2-quaternary indolin-3-ones with high enantioselectivities and regioselectivities. Moreover, gram-scale synthesis of the 10,10-difluoro-tetrahydropyrido[1,2-a]indole skeleton was successfully achieved without any reduction in both yield and enantioselectivity.

Abstract
The direct functionalization of β-C(sp2)-H bonds in enamides has garnered increasing attention within the realm of organic synthesis. However, these remarkable advancements are predominantly dependent on transition metals; limited success has been achieved via organocatalytic catalysis. Herein, we report a CPA-catalyzed β-C(sp2)-H functionalization of enamides cascade intramolecular cyclization to synthesize the chiral dihydropyrimido[1,6-a]indoles bearing gem-difluoromethylene. Moreover, this methodology enables the synthesis of diverse chiral dihydropyrimido[1,6-a]indoles with outstanding enantioselectivities in moderate to high yields.

Abstract
Interaction of enol ethers enol acetates, enamides and enamines with fluorinated reagents may be considered as a reliable method for the synthesis of organofluorine compounds. While classic nucleophile/electrophile substitution or addition mechanisms cannot be realized for coupling of these components, their intrinsic reactivities are revealed with the aid of photoredox catalysis. A combination of these electron donating and accepting components provides a perfect balance needed for individual redox steps, which in some cases may proceed even without a photocatalyst. The same electronic factors also support the key C,C-bond forming event involving addition of fluorinated radical at the electron rich double bond.

Abstract
A photoinduced radical difluoromethylarylation via tandem addition-cyclization of alkynes with easily available [bis(difluoroacetoxy)iodo]benzene is accomplished, providing a straightforward and practical route for the construction of difluoromethylated dibenzazepines. Various sensitive functional groups can be compatible under photoinduced conditions. Mechanism investigation reveals that this transformation is initiated by the addition of alkyne with difluoromethyl radical, generated in situ from [bis(difluoroacetoxy)iodo]benzene.

Abstract
Herein, we developed palladium-catalyzed regio- and diastereoselective difluoromethylthiolation of acrylamides to form the Z-isomer product at room temperature. Using 8-aminoquinoline as a directing group, this protocol resulted in a high efficiency under mild reaction conditions and showed good functional group tolerances, which opens a novel synthetic methodology for accessing SCF2H-containing skeletons. Moreover, mechanistic studies were conducted to obtain insights into the reaction mechanism, and post-functionalization of the product reactions was performed.

Abstract
A manganese-catalyzed radical relay strategy for the remote trifluoromethylation-peroxidation of unactivated alkenes is disclosed. The electrophilic CF3 group was added to the C[double bond, length as m-dash]C double bonds to afford remote C-centered radicals upon 1,5-HAT, which could be efficiently trapped by Mnn+1OOBu-t species to deliver 1,6-difunctionalized products selectively under mild conditions. t-BuOOH serves as both the oxidant and the peroxy precursor in this transformation.

Abstract
The reactivity of N-difluoromethylpyridinium salts is seldom explored because of their instability and low availability. Here we present a novel nucleophilic addition of N-difluoromethylpyridinium salts with nitroalkanes to synthesize N-CF2H-dihydropyridines and N-CHO-dihydropyridines in a highly efficient and regioselective pathway. This protocol exhibits good functional group tolerance and good to excellent yields.

Abstract
A highly regioselective copper-catalyzed 1,4-chloro- and bromotrifluoromethylation of 1,3-enynes has been presented for the first time, which affords an efficient transformation to access halo- and CF3-containing tetrasubstituted allene derivatives with good to excellent yield. This protocol is practical and convenient, in which a wide range of functional groups are compatible. Applications of this method for the gram-scale preparation and late-stage functionalization of biologically active molecules are also demonstrated.

Abstract
Recently, photoinduced radical difluoromethylation has emerged as a step-economical synthetic method of CHF2-containing compounds. In this article, difluoromethylation of alkenes, isonitriles and aryl bromides promoted by photoredox catalysis is described together with a non-catalytic photoinduced system. Representative reactions will be discussed for each highlighted difluoromethylating reagent. In addition, related monofluoromethylation with their corresponding monofluoromethylating reagents is also discussed.

Abstract
The homologation of Weinreb amides into difluoromethylketones with a formal nucleophilic CHF2 transfer agent is reported. Activating TMSCHF2 with potassium tert-amylate enables a convenient access to the difluorinated homologation reagent, which adds to the acylating partners. The high chemoselectivity showcased in the presence of variously multifunctionalized Weinreb amides, jointly with uniformly high yields, enables the strategy of general applicability without requiring any stabilization element for the putative carbanion.

Abstract
With an unactivated double bond as the radical acceptor, allyl amines underwent a metal-free trifluoromethylation/cyclization cascade with CF3SO2Na (Langlois' reagent), affording CF3CH2-containing indolines and tetrahydroisoquinolines, whose practical syntheses are significant challenges. This protocol features mild conditions, low cost, and a broad substrate scope.
