Abstract
Cobalt, Copper, Nickel and Zinc coordinated metal complexes were synthesized by novel thiazole Schiff base ligand 2-ethoxy-4-((5-methylthiazol-2-ylimino)methyl) phenol derived from 3-ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and 2-amino- 5-methylthiazol. The synthesized compounds were spectrochemically characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, FT-IR, UV-Vis, Mass spectral analysis, Powdered-XRD and cyclic voltammetry. The thermal stability of synthesized complexes were investigated by using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Theoretical computational study were performed for all the synthesized compounds utilizing the DFT/B3LYP method at the 6-31G basic set for Schiff base ligand whereas LANL2DZ basis set for metal complexes. Molecular Electrostatic Potential (MEP), HOMO-LUMO, Mulliken charges and global reactivity descriptors, including chemical potential (μ), global softness (S), chemical hardness (η), and electrophilicity index (ω) were measured and correlated with antimicrobial activity. The synthesized thiazole Schiff base ligand and its coordinated metal complexes shows good antifungal agreement against Fusarium Oxysporum and Aspergillus Niger species. These compounds also exhibit DNA binding, DNA cleaving and antioxidant activity. All the synthesized molecules indicate potential fluorescence property.

Abstract
Galactose Oxidase (GOase) and catechol oxidase (COase) are the metalloenzymes of copper having monomeric and dimeric sites of coordination, respectively. This paper summarizes the results of our studies on the structural, spectral and catalytic properties of new mononuclear copper (II) complexes [CuL(OAc)] (1), and [CuL2] (2), (HL = 2,4‑dichloro‑6‑{[(2'‑dimethyl‑aminoethyl)methylamino]methyl}‑phenol) which can mimic the functionalities of the metalloenzymes GOase and COase. The structure of the compounds has been elucidated by X-ray crystallography and the mimicked Cu(II) catalysts were further characterized by EPR. These mimicked models were used for GOase and COase catalysis. The GOase catalytic results were identified by GC-MS and, analyzed by HPLC at room temperature. The conversion of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde were significant in presence of a strong base, Bu4NOMe in comparison to the neutral medium. Apart from that, despite of being monomeric in nature, both the homogeneous catalysts are very prone to participate in COase mimicking oxidation reaction. Nevertheless, during COase catalysis, complex 1 was found to convert 3,5‑ditertarybutyl catechol (3,5-DTBC) to 3,5‑ditertarybutyl quinone (3,5-DTBQ) having greater rate constant, kcat or turn over number (TON) value over complex 2. The generation of reactive intermediates during COase catalysis were accounted by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). Through mechanistic approach, we found that H2O2 is the byproduct for both the GOase and COase catalysis, thus, confirming the generation of reactive oxygen species during catalysis. Notably, complex 1 having mono-ligand coordinating atmosphere has superior catalytic activity for both cases in comparison to complex 2, that is having di-ligand environment.

Abstract
The Schiff base, 2-[(pyridin-2-ylmethylidene)amino]-6-aminopyridine (L) was synthesized by 1:1 condensation of 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde and 2,6-diaminopyridine. The ligand and its complexes were characterized by different physicochemical studies. The analytical and spectroscopic tools indicated that the synthesized complexes have the general formulae: [M(L)Cl2]·2H2O (M=Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II)), [La(L)3](NO3)3·3H2O and [Sm(L)(ClO4)3]·3H2O. Vibrational spectra indicated the coordination of L to metal ions through its pyridyl and azomethine nitrogen atoms. The presence of water molecules in all reported complexes has been supported by TG/DTA studies. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were computed using Coats and Redfern method. The prepared ligand and its complexes exhibited intraligand (π-π∗) fluorescence and can potentially serve as photoactive materials. The catalytic activity of the complexes toward the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was investigated. Both the ligand and its complexes have been screened for antibacterial activities.

Abstract
A new Schiff base ligand was synthesized by reaction of salicylaldehyde with 1,6-bis(4-chloro-2-aminophenoxy)hexane. Then the Schiff base complexes were synthesized by metal salts and the Schiff base. The metal to ligand ratio of metal complexes was found to be 1:1. The Cu(II) complex is proposed to be square planar and the Co(II), Ni(II), Mn(II) and Zn(II) complexes are proposed to be tetrahedral geometry. The Ti(III) and V(III) complexes are proposed to be a capped octahedron in which a seventh ligand has been added to triangular face. The complexes are non-electrolytes as shown by their molar conductivities (ΛM). The structure of metal complexes is proposed from elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-vis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductivity measurements, Mass Spectra and thermal gravimetric analysis. In addition antimicrobial and antioxidant studies, cyclic voltammetry of the complexes, theoretical 1H NMR and HOMO-LUMO energy calculations of the new di-functional ligand were done.

Abstract
The complexes of tailor made ligands with life essential metal ions may be an emerging area to answer the problems of multi drug resistance. The coordination complexes of VO(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with the Schiff bases derived from isatin with 3-chloro-4-floroaniline and 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde with 4-aminoantipyrine have been synthesized by conventional as well as microwave methods. These compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, electronic spectra, FT-IR, FAB mass and magnetic susceptibility measurements. FAB mass data show degradation of complexes. Both the ligands behave as bidentate and tridentate coordinating through O and N donor. The complexes exhibit coordination number 4, 5 or 6. The Schiff base and metal complexes show a good activity against the bacteria; Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Streptococcus fecalis and fungi Aspergillus niger, Trichoderma polysporum, Candida albicans and Aspergillus flavus. The antimicrobial results also indicate that the metal complexes are better antimicrobial agents as compared to the Schiff bases. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of the metal complexes were found in the range 10~40 µg/mL.

Abstract
Eight macrocyclic complexes have been synthesised by template reaction of (±)- trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane with metal nitrates and 1,10-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecane or 1,7-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane, and their structures are proposed on the basis of elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, molar conductivity measurements, 1H The complexes NMR and mass spectra. The metal-to-ligand molar ratios are 1:1 in the complexes, which are 1:2 electrolytes for Pb(II), Cd(II) and Zn(II) and 1:3 electrolytes for La(III)
