Abstract
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of an accurate diagnosis and monitoring of diseases became a more important issue. In order to fabricate high-performance and sensitive biosensors, many researchers and scientists have used many kinds of nanomaterials such as metal nanoparticles (NPs), metal oxide NPs, quantum dots (QDs), and carbon nanomaterials including graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Among them, CNTs have been considered important biosensing channel candidates due to their excellent physical properties such as high electrical conductivity, strong mechanical properties, plasmonic properties, and so on. Thus, in this review, CNT-based biosensing systems are introduced and various sensing approaches such as electrochemical, optical, and electrical methods are reported. Moreover, such biosensing platforms showed excellent sensitivity and high selectivity against not only viruses but also virus DNA structures. So, based on the amazing potential of CNTs-based biosensing systems, healthcare and public health can be significantly improved.

Abstract
This review focuses on recent advances in the application of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for the development of sensors and biosensors. The paper discusses various configurations of these devices, including their integration in analytical devices. Carbon nanotube-based sensors have been developed for a broad range of applications including electrochemical sensors for food safety, optical sensors for heavy metal detection, and field-effect devices for virus detection. However, as yet there are only a few examples of carbon nanotube-based sensors that have reached the marketplace. Challenges still hamper the real-world application of carbon nanotube-based sensors, primarily, the integration of carbon nanotube sensing elements into analytical devices and fabrication on an industrial scale.

Abstract
Electrochemical sensors have shown great advantage and application potential in point-of-care testing (POCT) related scenarios. However, some fatal problems plague its widespread utilization, which include the susceptibility of sensors to interference in real samples (e.g. pH), the contradiction between the limited objects detectable for most sensors and the requirement of multi-target analysis in most cases, and the complicated procedures in sensor preparation as well as in routine use. This paper contributed a tip-like electrochemical sensor prototype. By integrated with a commercial pipettor, it fulfilled semi-automatic assay procedure of sampling, detection and rinsing, thus saving operational time and manual work. The tip sensor owns the property of simple fabrication and is free from any modification of extra bio/chem materials. Moreover, built on multiple electrochemical signal outputs including open circuit potential, peak current and potential of specific electrochemical reaction, this work established a novel multi-component sensing strategy, wherein detection of uric acid (UA), urea and pH in urine samples was realized by using one single working electrode. The detection range for the above targets is 5.0~600 μM for UA, 4.0~8.0 for pH and 0.5~7.0 mM for urea with the detection limits (S/N = 3) of 0.05 μM for UA and 5.4 μM for urea, and the sensitivity of pH assay is 73 mV/pH. Notably, as variation of sample pH has impact on electrochemical analysis, the pH-related parameter was introduced for calibration to diminish such interference. The developed tip sensor and the novel sensing strategy may open a new window for electrochemical technology and broaden its application in POCT.

Abstract
Rapid yet accurate detection of disease-related biomarkers is key for point of care testing, where there is an increasing demand for multi-index analysis. Here, we present a versatile device for multianalyte quantification based on the microfluidic technique and electrochemical sensor array. The analytes were shunted through inner-built channels to screen-printed electrodes installed at different positions of the chip. These electrodes were modified with different nanomaterials and sensing agents to afford specific responses to the corresponding indicators. To prove the applicability of the platform for multifunction, we chose leukemia as the model disease and determined four relevant markers: methotrexate (MTX), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), uric acid (UA), and urea. They are indicative as/for the therapeutic drug (MTX), prognosis (LDH), and side effect (UA and urea). The sensing chip exhibited low detection limits of 35 nM, 25 U/L, 450 nM, and 20 μM toward the four analytes, which are much lower than their minimum contents in human serum. Furthermore, practical application of the chip was demonstrated by simultaneous detection of the four analytes in the blood plasma of rabbit. By simply replacing the modification agents, the sensing platform is expected to serve the detection of a wide range of chem/biosubstances in various fields.

Abstract
Three-dimensional porous gold nanoparticles (NPG) were synthesized in situ on indium-doped tin oxide (ITO) substrates by a green and convenient one-step electrodeposition method to achieve super-sensitive As(III) detection. The introduction of NPG method not only greatly improves the electron transfer capacity and surface area of sensor interface but provides more active sites for As(III) enrichment, thus boosting sensitivity and selectivity. The sensor was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersion spectroscopy, differential pulse anode stripping voltammetry (DPASV), and electrochemical impedance to evaluate its morphology, composition, and electrochemical performance. The wall thickness of NPG was customized by optimizing the concentration of electroplating solution, dissolved electrolyte, deposition potential, and reaction time. Under optimal conditions, the electrochemical sensor showed a wide linear range from 0.1 to 50 μg/L As(III), with a detection limit (LOD) of 0.054 μg/L (S/N = 3). The LOD is far below 10 μg/L, the recommended maximum value by the world health organization for drinking water. Stability, reproducibility, and repeatability of NGP/ITO were determined to be 2.77%, 4.9%, and 4.1%, respectively. Additionally, the constructed sensor has been successfully applied to determine As(III) in three actual samples, and the results are in good agreement with that of hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS). Abstract
Dopamine homeostasis is an important clinical diagnostic index, because an abnormal level in the human body is closely related to certain serious diseases. Herein, a novel electrochemical sensing platform based on gold nanobipyramid/multi-walled carbon nanotube hybrids (AuNBP/MWCNTs) is developed to detect dopamine in human fluids. Using field emission scanning electron microscopy, it is observed that AuNBPs of about 60 nm with two pyramids are well dispersed on the surface of MWCNTs. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry, X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirm that AuNBPs are self-assembled onto the surface of MWCNTs to form the hybrids. Cyclic voltammetry reveals that the AuNBP/MWCNTs exhibit good electrocatalytic activity toward dopamine oxidation owing to the synergistic effects of AuNBPs and MWCNTs. In addition, both cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry display three well-resolved and distinct oxidation peaks on the AuNBP/MWCNT-modified glassy carbon electrode. Based on AuNBP/MWCNTs, the newly developed electrochemical sensor is used to detect dopamine in the presence of ascorbic acid and uric acid over a wide linear range from 50 nM to 2.7 mM and a low detection limit of 15 nM (at S/N = 3). The electrochemical sensor can also be applied for the quantitative analysis of dopamine in real samples. Graphical abstract A novel electrochemical sensing platform based on gold nanobipyramid/multi-walled carbon nanotube hybrids (AuNBP/MWCNTs) was proposed to detect dopamine in the presence of ascorbic acid and uric acid.

Abstract
The detection of hydroxyl radicals (•OH) in live cells is significant to study its physiological and pathological roles, while it is full of challenge due to the extremely low concentration and short lifetime of •OH. Herein, we have developed a novel electrochemical sensor based on 6-(Ferrocenyl) hexanethiol (6-FcHT) self-assembled nanoporous gold layer (NPGL) modified GE (6-FcHT/NPGL/GE), which can detect the release of •OH from living cells with high sensitivity and selectivity. The superior sensitivity can stem from the unique porous architecture of NPGL, which enlarged electrode surface area and expedited electron transportation during electrochemical reactions. Additionally, NPGL provides more active binding sites for the assembly of capture agent (6-FcHT) of •OH, thus ensuring high selectivity. For comparison, 6-FcHT/GE was applied to detect •OH, and the obtained sensitivity was 0.0305 mA nM-1 and detection limit was 0.133 nM in the linear range of 0.4 nM-70 nM. After modification of NPGL, the sensitivity of 6-FcHT/NPGL/GE to the •OH response was increased to 0.1364 mA nM-1, detection limit was reduced to 0.316 pM and the linear range was extended from 1 pM to 100 nM. It is worth mentioning that a plenty of extra merits has also been validated like reproducibility, repeatability and stability, enabling to direct electrochemical detection of •OH in HepG2 cells.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Interest in functionalized carbon nanotubes for many applications arises from a variety on the kind of modification atoms or molecules that are attached to it. Dopamine, the feel-good hormone, release by neurons and playing an important role in body systems. Abnormal dopamine levels cause nerve disorders such as Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was the design and fabrication of electrochemical sensor based on MWCNTs and Pd nanoparticles for detection and determination of dopamine in biological samples. METHODS For this purpose, we report the synthesis of pramipexole-functionalized MWCNTs (pp-MWCNTs) for efficient capture of palladium nanoparticles and fabrication of Pd/pp-MWCNTs nanocomposite. Morphological and structural characteristics of the nanocomposites were characterized using various techniques including field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). RESULTS This newly synthesized nanocomposite may have numerous applications in nanotechnology and sensing. We show that the synthesized nanocomposite reported here will be applicable for modifications of bare glassy carbon electrode (Pd/pp-MWCNTs/GCE) to sense of dopamine electrochemically. Two linear calibrations for dopamine are obtained over ranges of 0.01 to 10 μM and 10 to 200 μM with a detection limit of 1.4 nM. The Pd/pp-MWCNTs/GCE shows high stability and sensitivity, and an acceptable decrease of over-potential for the electrooxidation of dopamine that decreases interference in the analysis. The proposed Pd/pp-MWCNTs nanocomposite can be used as a voltammetric detector for dopamine monitoring in routine real sample analysis. CONCLUSIONS The proposed sensor showed high sensitivity and selectivity in sensing dopamine in biological samples. Graphical abstract Preparation of Pd/pp-MWCNTs/GCE for detection of dopamine.

Abstract
Background:
Catecholamine drugs are a family of electroactive pharmaceutics, which are
widely analyzed through electrochemical methods. However, for low level online determination and
monitoring of these compounds, which is very important for clinical and biological studies, modified
electrodes having high signal to noise ratios are needed. Numerous materials including nanomaterials
have been widely used as electrode modifies for these families during the years. Among them, graphene
and its family, due to their remarkable properties in electrochemistry, were extensively used in
modification of electrochemical sensors.
Objective:
In this review, working electrodes which have been modified with graphene and its derivatives
and applied for electroanalyses of some important catecholamine drugs are considered.

Abstract
A novel and highly selective electrochemical sensing platform (ZnCl2-CF/GCE) based on combination of kiwi skin and zinc chloride nanoparticles was developed for the simultaneous detection of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA), and uric acid (UA). The constructed electrode shows a high surface area and micro-mesoporous structure. And the electrochemical behaviors of the electrode were further explored by cyclic voltammetry (CV), impedance analysis (EIS), and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Under the optimal conditions, the ZnCl2-CF provides a high sensitivity and selective signaling in the co-existence system of AA, DA, and UA with linear response ranges of 0.05-200 μM, 2-2000 μM, and 1-2500 μM, respectively. The detection limits (S/N = 3) were calculated to be 0.02 μM, 0.16 μM, and 0.11 μM, respectively. In addition, the method has been successfully applied to determine AA, DA, and UA in real samples, which provides potential applications in further sensing study.
