Abstract
Recently, the single-cone hydraulic canal filling technique using bioceramic sealers was found to hinder retreatment due to the mechanical properties of the bioceramic sealers. This study assessed the effectiveness of four nickel-titanium rotary files in removing gutta-percha and bioceramic sealer from molar root canals in vitro. Eighty-eight root canals from extracted molars were instrumented with Vortex Blue rotary files and filled with gutta-percha and bioceramic sealer using a single-cone technique. After 30 days, the filled canals were randomly divided into four groups according to the file used for re-instrumentation: ProTaper Gold (PTG), Endo ReStart (ERS), XP-3D Shaper (XPD), and HyFlex Remover (HFR). This study assessed whether root canal filling material removal and patency were achieved within a 10-min time frame, recording the time required in seconds. The rate of regaining patency and the time required to achieve patency were compared among groups using a generalized linear model. Scanning electron microscopy was used to evaluate the mechanical changes to the files after use. The patency rate of XPD and HFR was significantly higher than PTG. ERS and XPD demonstrated shorter patency times than HFR and significantly shorter patency times than PTG. SEM images revealed a varied range of reverse windings across file groups. PTG and ERS exhibited microcracks and fractured tips, while XPD and HFR did not display these mechanical alterations. The four file systems in this study displayed varying levels of effectiveness in the retreatment of root canals filled with bioceramic sealers.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To investigate the effectiveness of instrumentation using Protaper Next (PN; Dentsply Sirona, Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) and Waveone Gold (WG; Dentsply Sirona, Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) systems on the area of untouched surface (US), accumulated hard tissue debris (AHTD), and the filling ability of two obturation techniques on the volume percentage (vol%) of voids within C-shaped root canals of mandibular first premolars. METHODS A total of 64 mandibular first premolars with C-shaped canals were scanned, matched, and subsequently assigned to two shaping groups (n = 32): PN and WG. After instrumentation, the specimens were randomly allocated into two obturation subgroups (n = 16): continuous wave compaction (CWC) and single-cone (SC) techniques. The US% and AHTD% post- instrumentation, as well as the vol% of voids after obturation, were calculated from micro-computed tomography. Data were analyzed using comparisons for two groups (PN vs. WG) or two subgroups (CWC vs. SC) at α = 0.05. RESULTS The untouched canal wall area was 18.75% and 22.69% in the PN and WG groups (p > 0.05), respectively. The apical third had higher US% than the coronal third (p < 0.05) in the two shaping groups. Instrumentation with WG left more debris (26.48%) than PN (8.36%) in the apical 1-3 mm (p < 0.05). In PN and WG group, the vol% of voids had no significant difference between the CWC and SC subgroups (p > 0.05). The apical region had significantly more voids than the coronal region of canal space in the two obturation subgroups regardless of which system was applied (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Both PN and WG systems showed similar performance on US after instrumenting C-shaped canals of the mandibular first premolar. WG left significantly more AHTD compared with PN in the apical region. In PN or WG group, SC yielded similar obturation quality when compared with CWC. Both CWC and SC obturation techniques provided inferior filling quality in the apical region than that observed in the coronal region.

Abstract
The preservation of the original configurations of root canals during endodontic preparation is crucial for treatment success. Nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary systems have been refined to optimize canal shaping while minimizing iatrogenic errors. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the shaping efficacy of the novel R-Motion (RM) and the established WaveOne Gold (WG) systems using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). Twenty-four mesial canals of 12 double-rooted extracted mandibular first molars were randomly assigned to either the RM or WG groups, with the mesiobuccal (MB) and mesiolingual (ML) canals allocated accordingly. Root canals were prepared following the manufacturer's protocols. In the RM group, crown-down technique up to a 25/0.06 taper was employed. For the WG group, the preparation was completed with a WG primary file (25/0.07 taper). Specimens were scanned using micro-CT scans before and after instrumentation to establish baseline and post-instrumentation datasets. The following parameters were evaluated, and values were calculated to compare the shaping ability of the two files: percentage of untouched canal walls, changes in surface area, canal volume, dentin thickness, canal angulation, structure model index, canal transportation, and centering ability ratio. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 23.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY), with a statistical significance set at P ≤ 0.05. Micro-CT analysis demonstrated comparable untouched canal surface areas and changes in surface area and volume between both RM and WG systems. Both systems effectively straightened canal curvature without significant differences in canal angulation. The RM files exhibited a statistically lower reduction in dentin thickness, indicating better preservation of structural integrity. Both RM and WG files displayed similar effective shaping abilities. However, RM caused less dentin removal and canal transportation. Thus, RM is recommended for its ability to balance effective canal shaping with structural preservation in a conservative manner.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES The damage assessment of dental instruments, such as endodontic files, is crucial to ensure patient safety and treatment quality. Conventional scanning electron microscopy (SEM) has been the gold standard for this purpose; however, its limited accessibility and complex sample preparation protocols hinder its routine use in clinical settings. This study proposes a novel system that leverages digital photography and advanced image processing techniques as a viable alternative to SEM. METHODS Our system accurately detects early instrument damage by capitalizing on the high resolution of digital images. Its exceptionally user-friendly interface, portability, and key features make it highly suitable for daily clinical practice. RESULTS Our findings suggest that the proposed system provides image quality comparable to SEM. CONCLUSIONS Image stacking provides a practical, efficient, and objective method for assessing endodontic instruments' morphology. By detecting early damage, this system significantly improves the safety and quality of endodontic procedures, especially for reusable NiTi files, instilling confidence and security in its use. It offers a cost-effective and user-friendly alternative to traditional methods such as visual inspection and SEM, making it a comfortable and confident choice for both research and clinical settings.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This systematic review aimed to compare reciprocating with continuous rotary instrumentation kinematics, by means of microcomputed tomography evaluations, in extracted human permanent teeth with moderate and severe canal curvatures. METHODS The research protocol was registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews and given the reference number CRD42023404035. An electronic search was undertaken in MEDLINE (PubMed), EBSCO, Scopus, Web of Science databases until December 2021. Manual screening of issues in endodontic journals and references of relevant articles were assessed individually. The risk of bias (RoB) of the included articles was evaluated with the QUIN tool (Quality Assessment Tool for In Vitro Studies). RESULTS Among 1640 retrieved articles, 49 were included in the qualitative synthesis. Fifteen articles had low RoB, 33 articles had medium RoB, and only 1 study was at high RoB. Continuous rotary systems had better centering ability in both moderate and severe canal curvatures and resulted in less apical transportation in severely curved root canals. None of the kinematic systems was capable of instrumenting the entire canal surface area. Reciprocating kinematics systems tended to provide higher increase in surface area of severely curved canals and produced fewer dentinal microcracks in moderately curved canals. CONCLUSIONS The evidence presented in this review suggests that continuous rotary system seems to be better than reciprocating system in solving the major issues encountered during root canal instrumentation of extracted teeth with moderate and severe curvatures.

Abstract
Introduction The anatomical configuration classified as Vertucci's type III is described as the second most prevalent in mandibular incisors. Methods Thirty-six Vertucci's type III mandibular incisors were evaluated by micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) and divided into 3 groups (n = 12) according to the root canal preparation protocol (HyFlex CM [HCM], HyFlex EDM [HEDM], and Sequence Rotary File [SRF]). The teeth were scanned before and after performing 0.25 mm and 0.40 mm apical diameter preparations. The canal volume, dentin thickness, percentage of accumulated debris and untouched canal areas, transportation, and centering ability were measured. The data were statistically analyzed by ANOVA, Tukey, Kruskal-Wallis, and Dunn tests (P < 0.05). Results The volume increase was more evident in the apical third. After 0.40 mm preparation, the SRF system provided a higher reduction (P < 0.05) in dentin thickness on the buccal surface 1 mm from the apex. There was higher canal transportation in the bucco-lingual direction. The 0.40 mm apical preparation reduced the percentage of untouched canal areas. The apical third had the highest percentage of untouched canal areas. The cervical third had the lowest volume of accumulated debris. Conclusions Increasing the apical preparation to a diameter of 0.40 mm with the HCM, HEDM, and SRF systems in Vertucci's type III root canals of mandibular incisors proved to be safe and effective, reducing untouched canal areas. Clinical relevance Root flattening can be intense to the point of generating a root canal bifurcation. Despite the decrease in the root canal diameter, a greater enlargement of the apical region is necessary and safe.

Abstract
AIM This study evaluated and compared the shaping ability of four rotary instrument systems in long-oval root canals using microcomputed tomographic (micro-CT) evaluation. Currently, there is no data available on the canal shaping abilities of BlueShaper and DC Taper instruments. METHODOLOGY Sixty-four single-rooted mandibular premolars were matched based on similar root canal morphologic features as determined by (micro-CT) and randomly assigned to 1 of 4 experimental groups (n = 16) according to the instrument system used: BlueShaper, TruNatomy, DC Taper and HyFlex EDM One File. Changes in the root canal surface and volume, remaining dentine thickness, and number of prepared areas were assessed. RESULTS No significant differences were found amongst the four instrument systems for the parameters evaluated (p > .05). There was a significant reduction in the number of unprepared areas and the remaining dentine thickness after each increase in size of the instruments tested (p < .05). CONCLUSIONS The four instrument systems perform similarly in long oval root canals. Although none could prepare all canal walls, larger preparations incorporated significantly more surfaces in the final shape.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The maxillary first molar is crucial for proper bite formation and jaw positioning in adulthood. The prevalence of dental caries in the study's sample population suggests it is a common candidate for endodontic therapy. Multiple studies have shown that the canal and root morphology of the maxillary first molar are abnormal. MATERIALS AND METHODS The distobuccal and palatal roots of 286 maxillary first molars were removed at the furcation. The mesiobuccal roots were then imaged using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) on all specimens. The specimens were analyzed in comparison with one another. The following factors were studied. The number and arrangement of canals, as described by Vertucci; the presence or absence of an isthmus, as described by Kim; the canal curvature angle, as measured by the Schneider method; characteristics such as calcified segments, lateral canals, and an apical delta. For the flow analysis, CBCT was utilized to examine the root channel architecture of 286 mesiobuccal (MB) permanent maxillary first molar. RESULTS Type I canal arrangement was found in 51.6% of teeth, Type II in 33.3%, Type III in 4.6%, Type IV in 4.2%, Type V in 2.5%, and Type VII in 1.5%. Type I, II, III, and V isthmus were each present in 26%, 6.7%, 9.5%, and 10.2% of the samples, respectively. Teeth with MB1 canal angulations of 0-20 degrees, 21-40 degrees, and more than 40 degrees were found in 56, 188, and 41 teeth, respectively. From 0 to 20 degrees, 21 to 40 degrees, and more than 40 degrees, 15 teeth, 88 teeth, and 25 teeth, respectively, had angulations in their MB2 canals. Only 9.8% of the samples had lateral canals, while 16.1% had both accessory canals and apical deltas. There were 19 cases with calcified segments in the coronal third of the MB1 canal and 13 cases in the middle third. There were no calcifications at the distal end of the MB1 canal. Thirteen of the specimens showed calcification only in the most caudal third of the MB2 canal, whereas the middle and distal thirds were uncalcified. CONCLUSION Utilizing a noninvasive approach, a CBCT scan has the capacity to provide valuable insights into the root canal configuration.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The use of file systems that work with different principles in root canal treatment is becoming widespread. The aim of this study was to evaluate the remaining dentine volume in the coronal region of the root and preparation efficiency after the use of conventional hand files, WaveOne Gold, which works with reciprocating motion, and TruNatomy, which works with rotational motion, in the root canal treatment of mandibular molar teeth. METHODS All canals of permanent mandibular molars (n = 36) were used. Root canals in each group (n = 12) were prepared with conventional hand files, WaveOne Gold, and TruNatomy. The three-dimensional images were evaluated for remaining dentine volume in the coronal two-millimeter region of the root and change in volume of the entire root canal space. RESULTS There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of mean differences pre- and post-preparation (P >.05). The mean differences after preparation were observed the most in the WaveOne Gold group and the least in the TruNatomy group in the coronal two-millimeter region of the root and entire canal volume, but the differences were not significant (P>.05,P>.05, respectively). CONCLUSIONS Conventional hand files, WaveOne Gold working with reciprocating motion, and TruNatomy working with rotational motion, which are the file systems used in the study, are not superior to each other in terms of remaining dentin volume in the coronal two-millimeter region of the root and preparation efficiency in the entire root canal space in mandibular molars.

Abstract
This study compared the preparation of long oval-shaped root canals using WaveOne Gold and XP-endo Shaper systems, both supplemented or not with manual instrumentation. Twenty-four long oval-shaped canals of mandibular incisors were distributed into two groups according to the instrumentation: WaveOne Gold Primary or XP-endo Shaper systems. All root canals were manually instrumented with a size 25 K-file after automated preparation. The specimens were scanned by using a micro-CT device (17.42 µm) before and after automated preparation and manual instrumentation. The increased surface of the root canal and the percentage of untouched areas were assessed. Both WaveOne Gold and XP-endo Shaper systems increased the root canal surface and had similar untouched areas (p>0.05). Supplementary instrumentation increased the surface of the root canal and decreased the untouched walls (p<0.05). WaveOne Gold and XP-endo Shaper systems provided a similar preparation of long oval-shaped canals and manual instrumentation improved their preparation.

Abstract
This study compared shaping ability between two single-file systems and before/after using supplementary file in untouched area, volume of removed dentin, maximum cut depth (the highest cut depth by main file) and remaining thinnest dentin (the thinnest root dentin after preparation). Ribbon-shaped distal canals of mandibular molars were prepared with non-adaptive core (WaveOne Gold) or adaptive core (XP-endo Shaper) files (n = 15/group) and additionally prepared with a supplementary file (XP-endo Finisher), and the shaping ability was investigated using micro-computed tomography. XP-endo Shaper group demonstrated significantly less overall untouched area than WaveOne Gold group (38.21 ± 6.98% vs. 47.68 ± 9.16%) (p < 0.05). No significant difference was detected between XP-endo Shaper and WaveOne Gold groups in volume of removed dentin (1.85 ± 0.53 vs. 1.66 ± 0.33 mm3 ), maximum cut depth (0.10-0.28 vs. 0.10-0.29 mm) and remaining thinnest dentin (0.66-0.80 vs. 0.78-0.88 mm). Supplementary XP-endo Finisher treatment significantly decreased untouched area (11%-23% reduction) (p < 0.05) with minimally cut root dentin (0.01-0.02 mm).

Abstract
Objectives This study evaluated the efficacy of 3 reciprocating systems and the effects of 2 instruments for irrigant activation on filling material removal. Materials and Methods Forty mesiobuccal roots of maxillary molars were prepared up to size 25.06 and obturated. Micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) examination #1 was performed. Teeth were then divided into 4 groups (n = 10), according to the retreatment protocol: (1) manual, (2) Reciproc Blue, (3) WaveOne Gold, and (4) X1 Blue. Micro-CT examinations #2 and #3 were performed after filling removal and repreparation, respectively. Next, all teeth were divided into 2 new groups (n = 20) according to the irrigant activation protocol: XP Clean (XP Clean size 25.02) and Flatsonic (Flatsonic ultrasonic tip). Micro-CT examination #4 was performed after irrigant activation. Statistical analysis was performed with a significance level set at 5%. Results WaveOne Gold removed a significantly greater amount of filling material than the manual group (p < 0.05). The time to reach the WL was similar for all reciprocating systems (p > 0.05). X1 Blue was faster than the manual group (p < 0.05). Only manual group improved the filling material removal after the repreparation stage (p < 0.05). Both activation protocols significantly improved the filling material removal (p < 0.05), without differences between them (p > 0.05). Conclusions None of the tested instruments completely removed the filling material. X1 Blue size 25.06 reached the working length in the shortest time. XP Clean and Flatsonic improved the filling material removal.

Abstract
It is the aim of this review to present a critical overview and summary on the contemporary possibilities, limitations and challenges of research related to root canal preparation. Frequently used research tools and contemporary research designs will be presented and discussed critically focussing on shortcomings and benefits with special regard to clinical relevance and scientific evidence. A plethora of experimental set-ups for assessing the shaping of root canals have been described in the endodontic literature using a considerable number of techniques and instruments. Nevertheless, it can be stated that scientific evidence demonstrating the clinical impact of many investigated topics is questionable or even missing. Instead of technical, radiographic and geometrical parameters, further research should focus on biological aspects and clinical evidence of the impact of root canal preparation on the outcome of root canal treatment.

Abstract
Simple Summary Employing a chemo-mechanical preparation, one of the primary procedural phases in endodontic therapy is carefully removing debris, pulp tissue, and bacteria from the root canal system. The cross-sectional root canal shapes comprise circular, oval, long oval, flattened, or irregular. The frequency of oval root canals in the apical third of human teeth is around 25 to 50%. Motorised endodontic files leave almost 60% of the oval root canal perimeter unaffected by their instrumentation, thus resulting in faulty obturation that is required to prevent reinfection and to restrict the passage of microorganisms and toxins to and from the periapical tissue. Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of instrumentation and the potential for debris deposition using XP-endo shaper plus (XP-SP) and full-sequence SAF (F-SAF) on the adaption of thermoplastic root canal fillings in oval canals. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, ninety human permanent mandibular incisors with a single oval canal 6 mm from the apex (verified using pre-operative CBCT scanning) were instrumented with XP-SP and F-SAF. Obtura III Max apparatus was used for root canal obturation without the use of a root canal sealer. The roots were then sectioned 6 mm from the apex and examined with a digital stereomicroscope at x25 magnification to assess the root canal fillings. The F-SAF was associated with a significantly higher (p < 0.01) percentage of entire adaptation of the root fillings (76%) compared to the XP-SP (57%). Furthermore, the XP-SP group was also associated with higher (p < 0.01) defective obturation with debris at 17% and with voids at 26%. However, the F-SAF had lower percentages of defective obturations (7% with debris and 17% with voids). The quality of obturation of oval canals instrumented using full-sequence SAF was better.

Abstract
Successful endodontic treatment depends on cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, in order to provide conditions for three-dimensional filling, which should prevent root canal reinfection. However, anatomical complexities pose a challenge during endodontic treatment. The present study was a literature review carried out in the following databases: PubMed, SciELO, and MEDLINE, which were searched for articles published from 2017 to 2021. Micro-CT studies published in English, which analysed the capacity for preparation of oval and long-oval root canals, were included. The following keywords were used: “oval-shaped canals,” “long-oval-shaped canals,” “endodontics,” and “micro-CT.” The aim of this study was to carry out a literature review of micro-CT studies on the scope of the capacity for preparation performed in oval and long-oval root canals with rotary and reciprocating instruments.

Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the impact of photodynamic therapy (PDT) after root canal preparation on pain relief in posterior teeth presenting with symptomatic apical periodontitis (SAP). A visual analog scale (VAS) was completed by the patients which registered their pain perception as none (0), mild (1-3), moderate (4-7), or severe (8-10). Only patients who registered moderate or severe pain were included. Seventy patients were allocated to two groups (n=35): a control group (CG) without the PDT application and an intervention group with PDT application (PG). The same chemo-mechanical preparation was achieved in both groups. In the PG, 150 µM methylene blue (MB)Please remove the underline was placed inside the canal for 2 minutes and a 660 nm wavelength laser was applied through a fiber for 3 minutes (100 mW, 600 J/cm², total 18J). The patients were asked to register their pain perception in the VAS document after 24-h, 72-h, and 1-week intervals. The number of tablets taken for pain relief was also recorded. The Mann-Whitney, Students T-test and Fisher´s exact tests were used for statistical analysis (P < .05). After 1 week, 32 patients in the CG and 33 in the PG returned their VAS cards. The PG resulted in lower pain levels after the 24-hour interval (median 0) than the CG (median 2); there was no difference between both groups at 72-h and 1-week intervals. The decrease in pain was higher in the PG at all time-intervals when compared to the CG. There was no difference in the mean number of tablets taken for pain relief (P > .05). Within the limitations of this study, it can be concluded that PDT was efficient in decreasing pain in teeth presenting with SAP. There was no difference observed after 72 hours and there was no impact on the intake of pain relief medication.

Abstract
Background The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes in canal volume after root canal preparation in vivo with 3 different single-file techniques (Reciproc-Blue®, WaveOne-Gold® and XP-EndoShaper®), with a new method using CBCT and 3D reconstruction. Methods In this prospective study, thirty human lower premolars from healthy patients were used, in which extraction was indicated for orthodontic reasons. All the teeth used were caries- and restoration-free with complete root development, without signs of periodontal disease or traumatic occlusion, and with only one straight canal (up to 25º curvature). Teeth were randomly divided into three different groups: Reciproc-Blue, WaveOne-Gold and XP-EndoShaper. CBCT scans before root canal preparation were used to create a 3D reconstruction with RHINOCEROS 5.0 software to assess the initial canal volume, and then compared with 3D reconstructions after canal preparation to measure the increase in canal volume. Student’s t test for paired data were used to determine statistically significant differences between the before and after canal volumes. Anova test was used to determine statistically significant differences in the percentage of canal volume increase between the groups and Tukey's post-hoc test were used to paired comparison. Results Reciproc-Blue showed the higher increase in canal volume, followed by WaveOne-Gold and XP-EndoShaper (p = 0.003). XP-EndoShaper did not show a statistically significant increase in canal volume after root canal preparation (p = 0.06). Conclusion With this model, Reciproc-Blue showed higher increase in root canal volume, followed by WaveOne-Gold, while XP-EndoShaper did not significantly increase root canal volume during preparation.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This research studies and compares the shaping ability of WaveOne Gold (WG; Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties, Tulsa, OK), the Reciproc Blue (RB; VDW, Munich, Germany), TRUShape (TS, Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties), XP-endo Shaper (XP; FKG, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland), iRace (IR, FKG), and TruNatomy (TN; Dentsply Sirona, Ballaigues, Switzerland) in the preparation of moderately curved canals and using micro-computed tomographic technology. METHODS Sixty lower molars with 2 mesial canals were randomly distributed into 6 groups of 10 molars and 20 canals per group (n = 20). Specimens were scanned before and after preparation using the SkyScan 1275 (Bruker microCT, Kontich, Belgium). Group 1 was treated with WG, group 2 with RB, group 3 with TS, group 4 with XP, group 5 with IR, and group 6 with TN. After instrumentation, researchers quantified the changes produced in the canal geometry in terms of surface, volume, structure thickness, surface convexity index, structure model index, percentage of surface touched, and centroids. Wilcoxon and analysis of variance tests were performed to compare the values before and after preparation and the differences between groups. The significance level was established at 5%. RESULTS There were no significant differences between WG and RB (P > .05) and between TN and XP (P > .05). TN had significant differences with WG, RB, TS, and IR (P < .05). All the files produced similar apical transportation (P > .05). CONCLUSIONS WG and RB and TN and XP had similar shaping effectivity. TS and WG touched the highest percentages of canal surfaces (81% and 73%, respectively) but produced the biggest changes in the canal anatomy. TN and XP better kept the canal anatomy, but TN touched the lowest percentage of canal surface (50%). All the files used were able to clean and to shape moderately curved canals with minimal apical transportation.

Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the ex vivo performance of two rotary nickel–titanium (NiTi) systems with similar designs but manufactured from martensitic and austenitic alloys, the One Curve (OC) and One Shape (OS) rotary endodontic files, respectively. Methods: Forty separate mesial canals of 20 extracted mandibular molars were scanned using micro-computed tomography (CT), which were divided into 2 groups and instrumented with OC and OS, respectively. Post-instrumentation micro-CT scans were evaluated using validated computer algorithms to compare changes in canal thickness, surface area, structure model index (SMI) scores, volume of removed dentin, percentage of untreated canal surface, percentage of curvature straightening, and the amount of canal transportation. Results: Both files led to significant changes in the basic root canal geometry, with no preparation errors and no statistically significant differences. However, OC treatment resulted in significantly less curvature straightening (17.30%; 10.77%) (independent samples t test, p < 0.05) and less apical transportation (55.11 µm; 33.15 µm) (Mann–Whitney U, test p < 0.05) compared to OS treatment. Transportation values in the middle and coronal thirds were statistically similar (independent sample t-test, p > 0.05). OC treatment produced significantly less straightening and less apical transportation than OS.
