Abstract
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, China effectively contained the virus, resulting in increased public trust in the government. Mobile government (mGovernment) applications (apps) played a critical role in this improvement. This study aims to examine how mGovernment apps build citizens' trust in governments during public crises. The DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) is used to evaluate the quality of these apps. Public satisfaction serves as an intermediary variable, while public awareness of epidemic risks in sudden public relations crises acts as a moderating variable to explore the impact of mGovernment apps on government trust. Data analysis is conducted using SPSS Statistics 22.0 and AMOS 21.0. The study's results show that the system quality, information quality, and service quality of mobile government apps influence citizens' trust in governments through the mediating effect of public satisfaction. All three factors positively correlate with public satisfaction, with service quality having the greatest impact. Similarly, system quality, information quality, and service quality are positively correlated with public trust in governments, with system quality having the most noticeable influence. There is a strong correlation between public satisfaction and trust in governments, and the mediating effect of public satisfaction is significant. In addition, epidemic risk perception moderates the relationship between public satisfaction and citizens' trust in governments.

Abstract
This study investigates the factors influencing online learning (OL) success among non-full-time adult students in open and distance education in Western China. To utilize a structural equation model with seven construction elements that combine the information system success (ISS) model and TPACK theory. Data from 245 participants were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results reveal that system quality, service quality, and teachers' TPACK ability have varying degrees of positive impact on OL success. The main contribution of this study is its innovative combination of TPACK theory and the ISS Model, which has not been extensively explored in previous research. Additionally, this study emphasizes the significance of addressing the distinctive requisites and attributes of part-time adult learners engaged in online learning (OL). The findings of this study can help educational practitioners and policymakers create more effective and efficient OL environments that meet the needs of adult learners and bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Abstract
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are now ubiquitous in modern organizations. A number of previous studies have focused only on system factors and perceptions, there is a noticeable shortfall in research that concurrently addresses technological factors and human roles in explaining user satisfaction. This study aimed to identify these variables from the perspectives of information systems, technology, and human participation, thereby addressing this knowledge gap. The focus of the study was a large shipbuilding and marine company utilizing an ERP system. The participants, a sample of 234 ERP users, were carefully selected by the company's executives and practitioners, and data was collected through online questionnaires. They were selected through purposive sampling from among employees who use ERP systems in large-scale shipbuilding and marine engineering companies. The study aimed to clarify the relationships between user satisfaction and perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, system quality, service quality, participation, and information quality. A partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the collected data. The results indicated that perceived ease of use, system quality, service quality, and participation positively influenced user satisfaction, whereas perceived usefulness did not have a significant impact. Interestingly, participation was found to lessen the effects of perceived usefulness on satisfaction. The findings of this study suggest that to enhance ERP user satisfaction, managers should strive to make the ERP system easy-to-use and stable, encourage employee participation in the decision-making process, and bolster the role of the support team. It should be noted, however, that the study has limitations as it did not consider all possible factors, such as training and support. Future research should take a broader view of the variables involved in the operation of an enterprise-wide information system.

Abstract
Introduction/Aim The purpose of this study is to investigate the key predictors of online learning system continuance intention using expectation-confirmation theory and information system success model as the theoretical framework. Methods A total of 537 respondents participated in the questionnaire to measure their self-reported responses to eight constructs (perceived usefulness, interaction, confirmation, satisfaction, continuance intention, information quality, system quality, service quality). Convenience sampling was used to obtain participants in this study. Partial least square structural equation model is used for data analysis. Results The results showed that all the hypotheses were validated except that there was no significant positive relationship between online learning interaction and student satisfaction. Meanwhile, the variance of the continuance intention of the online learning system reached 74.0%, falling within the moderate to substantial. In addition, the multi-group analysis of perceived usefulness, satisfaction and continuance intention showed that there was no significant gender difference in the above two relationships. Discussion Finally, this study also puts forward the theoretical and practical implications of college students' continuance intention of online learning system.

Abstract
Performance expectancy is the expected impact of a technology's functional advantage even in uncertain conditions. This study suggests that the learning collaboration quality, information quality, and course content support impact the actual use of e-learning and satisfaction perceived by the user, resulting in performance expectancy that meets stakeholder expectations. This study outlines the theoretical model for defining student success in e-learning systems through a theory of online collaborative learning. The research examines the empirical data gathered from 109 postgraduate doctoral students' participated in the postgraduate universities in Indonesia. The research attempts to focus specifically on how the actual use of e-learning and satisfaction perceived by users mediates the influence of learning collaboration quality, information quality, and course content support on performance expectancy to enhance the sustainability and performance of e-learning in Indonesian universities. The study shows that the learning collaboration quality, information quality, and course content support have no impact on performance expectancy, while each of the constructs indirectly impacts the performance expectancy through the actual use of e-learning. Conversely, the learning collaboration quality and course content support have not indirectly influenced toward performance expectancy by satisfaction perceived by the user as mediator except the information quality.

Abstract
Transition to e-learning has become crucial in the last two years, partially forced by the current pandemic. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to examine an integrated and comprehensive moderation-cum-mediation model that focuses on user intention to adopt e-learning. Self-efficacy, interaction, and e-learning contents were taken as the independent constructs. User satisfaction and user intention were taken as dependent constructs. Enjoyment and choice were taken as moderators. “Choice” was explicitly used in this study as a moderator to test whether the transition was by force or choice. Five hundred and sixty-two teachers and students from two countries, India and Saudi Arabia, were considered for this study. The findings indicate that self-efficacy and interaction augment user satisfaction and user intention. User satisfaction enhances user intention. It also mediates the relationship between self-efficacy, interaction, and user intention. Choice moderates the relationship between interaction and user intention. Enjoyment moderates the relationship between e-learning contents and user intention. This study is unique as it provides a multi-group analysis that compares nationality, gender, and the type of respondents in a multi-national context. All the stakeholders of e-learning, the teachers, the students, the policymakers, and the platforms, may find the results of this study particularly useful.

Abstract
PURPOSE This research investigated the critical factors that affect the e-learning quality. The student satisfaction model with the five factors such as content, system, learner, instructor and interaction was proposed and empirically examined. It also investigated the relationship between the interaction and other constructs. METHODS This study used a cross sectional survey design, and convenience sampling. To examine the critical factors and their relationship, a survey of 28 items was developed based on previous studies and sent out through a learning management system to all the students (n=250) enrolled in the pre-med 1 to the medicine 3 in one medical school in Korea. The medical school delivered all the courses online due to the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. The collected data (n=209, 83.6%) were analyzed through structural equation modeling by using IBM AMOS ver. 26.0 and IBM SPSS ver. 26.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, USA). RESULTS The determinants of e-learning student satisfaction were system, learner, instructor, and interaction qualities, which together explained 72.6% of the variance of student satisfaction and the determinants of e-learning interaction quality were content and system qualities, which together explained 62.9% of the variance of interaction quality. CONCLUSION The results of this study presented practical guidelines to improve e-learning quality in terms of student satisfaction in medical education contexts. The results indicated that more efforts should be directed toward improving interaction features such as interactive teaching styles, collaborative activities, providing instructors and learners with proper training for e-learning prior to e-learning and a quality of contents, and upgrading e-learning system for better performance and service.

Abstract
PurposeThe study has two aims: first, it aimed to investigate the impact of contextual factors (such as information quality, service quality, system quality, trust in applications (app) and COVID-19 health anxiety) on the intention to use the Mobile Payment (MP) app, and subsequently, the actual use of the app. Second, the aim of this study is whether the COVID-19 threat has a moderating influence on the relationship between customers' intent to use MP app and the actual use of MP app.Design/methodology/approachThe data are collected through an online survey from 341 Mobile Banking (MB) app users from Pakistan to empirically analyze the relationship between service quality, system quality, information quality, trust in the app, COVID-19 health anxiety and COVID-19 threat, intentions to use MB-app and actual use of MB-app.FindingsThe empirical analysis of the data collected from MB-app users from Pakistan shows that service quality, system quality, information quality, trust in the app and COVID-19 health anxiety positively related to intentions to use MB-app, consequently affect the actual use of MB-app. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that the COVID-19 threat positively moderates the relationship between intentions to use MB-app and actual use of MB-app.Originality/valueAlthough, prior research established a positive impact of mobile apps on customer service and consumer satisfaction. Yet, it is not clear which factors influence customers to adopt MB-app. This study contributes to the research on MB-apps based on adaptive structuration theory and examines the technological factors and contextual factors that collectively explain when and how individuals decide to adopt MB-app.

Abstract
PurposeWeChat official account (WCOA) is an emerging and important platform for academic library services, which greatly accelerates the development of this field. This article aims to identify key evaluation indicators for users' satisfaction of the Academic Library WeChat Official Account (ALWCOA) as a reference for future improvements.Design/methodology/approachBased on the updated DeLone and McLean (D&M)’s model and Delphi method, an evaluation system of ALWCOA satisfaction was constructed. Then 212 university students were recruited to fill out a questionnaire on evaluation indicators. The grey relational analysis (GRA) and Pareto's principle were employed to analyze the questionnaire and select key evaluation indicators.FindingsAn ALWCOA service satisfaction evaluation system with three evaluation dimensions and 15 evaluation indicators was constructed, and three key evaluation indicators were identified, including service responsiveness, information timeliness and system security.Practical implicationsThis article provides a strategy for assessing ALWCOA service satisfaction, as well as insights for improving of ALWCOA service. Specifically, academic libraries should pay more attention to improving service responsiveness, information timeliness and system security.Originality/valueThis article innovatively applied the updated D&M model in academic library service. Additionally, it facilitates the development of research fields, such as academic library services, microservices and user service evaluation, and provides a case study to better understand the WCOA.

Abstract
PurposeThe paper discusses the assessment of enterprise information systems (EIS) success in an organizational context is one area that is not sufficiently researched. This lack of theoretical attention prompted the authors to measure EIS success in the organizational setting of Jordanian listed firms.Design/methodology/approachBased on the DeLone and McLean success model and by adopting a quantitative approach, survey data were collected through questionnaires. The established questionnaires were distributed to 250 senior IT executives who use EIS and a total of 134 valid questionnaires were empirically tested via the Smart-PLS technique.FindingsThe investigation findings indicate that information and system quality had a positive impact on user satisfaction and individual impact. User satisfaction had a positive influence on individual impact, both of which eventually lead to organizational impact. The results also showed that the model used has adequate convergent and discriminant validities, as well as sufficient reliability.Practical implicationsThe outcomes can help managers and practitioners more effectively understand the factors influencing EIS success among Jordanian listed firms.Originality/valueThis research paper is the very first in assessing EIS success from an organizational perspective in developing country such as Jordan.

Abstract
Based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and the diffusion of innovation framework, this study examines the key determinants and outcomes of enterprise resource planning (ERP) adoption. The study specifically investigated the impact of system quality and user training on ERP adoption intention. Further, the impacts of ERP adoption intention and personal innovativeness on ERP adoption were also studied. User satisfaction with ERP and user engagement were considered as the two outcomes of ERP adoption. To achieve these objectives, an online survey was conducted and data was collected from 180 ERP users across multiple industries in India to understand their perception of such matters. Structural equation modeling using the partial least square approach was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The results of SEM analysis supported all the hypotheses under investigation. These results provide relevant evidence that may encourage organizations to understand the key determinants of successful ERP adoption and its significant impacts on user satisfaction with ERP and user engagement.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to evaluate the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) effectiveness on the organizational level by extending DeLone and McLean success model in developing countries like Jordan. Unlike other studies, this study investigates the effects of system quality, information quality, process quality, collaboration quality, service quality, individual performance and workgroup performance toward organizational performance during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
Design/methodology/approach
A self-administrated survey was used to collect data from 104 accounting managers operating in listed Jordanian firms in the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE). The partial least squares-structural equation modeling method was used for data analysis.
Findings
Eight relationships were tested, whereby six were supported as was expected. Particularly, the empirical results reveal that individual performance is positively and significantly influenced by information quality, process quality and service quality. Furthermore, workgroup performance is positively and significantly influenced by individual performance. The results also show that organizational performance is impacted by individual performance and workgroup performance.
Originality/value
The current study is among the first empirical studies that has extended the information systems success model to evaluate AIS success during COVID-19 pandemic. This study also offers insights into the importance of AIS success among listed Jordanian firms in ASE.

Abstract
COVID-19 has drastically changed human life, both in the current era and, no doubt, in the years to come. One of the hot topics during this period is whether and how COVID-19 will change education patterns in the next few years. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between massive open online courses (MOOCs) and students’ learning performance. To that end, this study combined the gamification concept with the modified information systems (IS) success model and the expectation–confirmation model (ECM) for building a research model. We surveyed 586 students through an online survey and tested the hypotheses. The research results indicated that MOOCs’ information quality (IQ), system quality (SQ), and service quality (SEQ) had positive influences on the confirmation, which then affected MOOCs’ usefulness, satisfaction, and gamification. Students’ continued usage intention and course performance were positively influenced by usefulness and gamification. Students’ continued usage intention of MOOCs also positively affected course performance. The relationship between gamification and satisfaction, however, was not proved. The research results also showed that gamification, which was composed of entertainment, challenge, and social interaction, played a critical role in improving students’ continued usage intention of MOOCs and their course performance.

Abstract
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) consider resource optimization as an essential concern. Cloud computing (CC) in the fourth industrial revolution became the de-facto standard for delivering IT resources and services. CC is now a mainstream technology, andHEIs across the globe are rapidly transitioning to this model; hence, maintaining the retention of the customers of such technologies is challenging for cloud service providers. Current research concerning CC focused on adoption and acceptance. However, there is still a scarcity of research concerning such technology’s continued use in an organizational setting. Drawing on the prior literature in organizational-level continuance, this paper established a positivist quantitative-empirical study to bridge the research gap and assess the precursors for a continuance of cloud technology in HEIs. Subsequently, this study developed a conceptual framework by integrating the IS success model and the IS discontinuance model through the lens of the TOE framework. The data were collected from the decision-makers of Malaysian HEIs that have adopted CC services, and analyzed using Structural equation Modelling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that the continuance intention can be predicted by technology, organizational, environmental, and other contextualized factors, explaining 85.2% of the dependent variables’ variance. The paper closes with a discussion of the research limitations, contribution, and future directions.

Abstract
Around the world, the adoption of digital health applications is growing very fast. The use of e-health laboratory systems is increasing while research on the factors that impact users to use e-health laboratory systems in Indonesia has not been done much. The objective of this study is to analyze the behavioral factors of e-health laboratory users. This study includes a survey conducted on Indonesian users, and data analysis was carried out thoroughly. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model, this research framework explores a combination of variables consisting of task-driven, technology-driven, human-driven, and adoption variables to form the model proposed in this study. This model was verified using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method for factor analysis, path analysis, and regression. A total of 163 respondents were collected to evaluate this research model empirically and the level of this study were individuals. These three problems are all essential in affecting usage intentions in adopting an e-health laboratory system. Specifically, task technology fit, information quality, and accessibility show a direct effect on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use factors perceived by the user, and have an indirect influence on the adoption of an e-health laboratory system through these two factors. The design of an online laboratory system affects perceived ease of use and personal innovativeness factors affect the perceived usefulness that users feel when adopting a laboratory system, while task technology fit and personal innovativeness factors do not affect the perceived ease of use. However, overall technology characteristic and perceived usefulness followed by design are the main predictors of adopting an e-health laboratory system on e-health systems in Indonesia.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine use and sharing economy (SE) continuance intention, and the mediation effects of use between individuals' motivations and SE continuance intention. A theoretical model is developed to explain use and SE continuance intention as intrinsic and extrinsic motivated behaviour, as proposed by self-determination theory. Factors are derived from SE context and supported by published research on SE.Design/methodology/approachThe partial least squares path modelling (PLS-PM) technique is used to test the model in a quantitative study involving 256 users of SE services.FindingsFindings suggest that use and SE continuance can be explained by concurrent intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. Moreover, high environmental concerns may restrain the use of SE services. Findings show that continuance intention is influenced by current use of SE services. Moreover, the study emphasizes the mediation effect of use between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and SE continuance intention.Research limitations/implicationsThe analysis of use behaviour should be complemented with other measures of use and with data provided by qualitative methods of research. Further research should also consider the effect of different control variables and mediation effects.Practical implicationsBrand managers and companies providing services through digital platforms should address individuals' needs in order to stimulate voluntary engagement in persistent SE practices.Social implicationsThis study informs the consumer in general so that the SE can develop its potential alongside an economy based on the ownership of private property.Originality/valueThis study extends findings on continuance intention research by offering internal motivation factors as predictors of post-adoption behaviour and emphasizes the role of use on SE continuance intention.

Abstract
E-learning can play an important role in the solution to educate a large quota of the population in significant countries. Studies point out that cultural characteristics can influence e-learners’ performance. Our main goal is to understand the e-learning success drivers in Brazil. Our research proposes a model that analyzes students' long-term orientation role in the Brazilian e-learning context. We collected 297 answers from a survey of higher education students in nine regions. Data were analyzed through a quantitative method. Results indicate that information and collaboration quality, and e-learner satisfaction explain e-learning systems usage. Our model indicates that students' long-term orientation influences the positive relationship between e-learning systems' use and the perceived net benefits. We also found that system and information quality, and e-learning systems’ use are determinants of e-learning user satisfaction. Collaboration quality and information quality are determinants of e-learning systems usage. E-learning usage and user satisfaction explain overall e-learning net benefits, and long-term orientation has a moderating effect between e-learning use and net benefits.

Abstract
Resource optimization is a key concern for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Cloud Computing, as the recent generation in computing technology of the fourth industrial revolution, has emerged as the main standard of service and resource delivery. As cloud computing has grown into a mature technology and is being rapidly adopted in many HEIs across the world, retaining customers of this innovative technology has become a challenge to the cloud service providers. Current research trends on cloud computing have sought to study the acceptance or adoption of technology; however, little research has been devoted to the continuance use in an organizational setting. To address this gap, this study aims to investigate the antecedents of cloud computing continuance use in HEIs. Hence, drawing on the prior literature in organizational-level continuance, this research established a conceptual model that extends and contextualizes the IS continuance model through the lens of the TOE framework (i.e., technological, organizational, and environmental influences). The results of a pilot study, conducted through a survey with information and communications technology (ICT) decision makers, and based on the proposed conceptual model, indicate that the instrument is both reliable and valid, and so point the way towards further research. The paper closes with a discussion of the research limitations, contribution, and future directions.

Abstract
The electronic Hospital management Information System (eHMIS) can improve care for vulnerable patients, help collect important disability and maternal health data, and improve the hospital’s overall data management. This study assessed the use of HMIS and factors influencing the usage and behavioral intentions to use the eHMIS at the Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT). We investigated both clinical and non-clinical staff (n=69) using tablets and online surveys, with a rate of return of 71.9%. The ICT staff were also interviewed to supplement data from the survey. The survey questionnaire was guided by the updated Information System Success (ISS) model. Most health workers (81.2%) used the eHMIS several times a day to support different decision-making activities. The better educated personnel were more likely to enter data more effectively into eHMIS as compared to their counterparts. Among six predictors, self-efficacy positively influenced self-reported use and user satisfaction of HMIS, while service quality negatively affected self-reported use of eHMIS. The system quality positively influenced health workers to be satisfied with the eHMIS, and user satisfaction positively influenced continued usage intention of the eHMIS. Both user satisfaction and continued usage intention were positively related to individual impact of eHMIS. Individual impact had positive effects on organizational impact of eHMIS. This is a comprehensive study conducted in Tanzania regarding the implementation of eHMIS, and factors influencing post-adoptive use of HMIS to improve quality of care of women and people with disabilities.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to empirically explore the influences of a set of key technological, organizational, and environmental (TOE) factors on the achievement of a strategic promised benefit of private portals, which is competitive advantage. Such exploration has not received attention in the web-based information systems’ area. To explore these influences, a theoretical model was developed on the basis of the information system adoption’s literature. The model postulates the TOE factors as crucial antecedents to the realization of competitive advantage. To validate the theoretical model, a questionnaire was constructed by focusing on the most precise measurements items for the TOE factors. A total of 241 responses were collected from the private portal’s users in a higher education institution in Saudi Arabia. The structural equation modeling approach was applied for conducting the required assessment. The results demonstrate that among the tested TOE factors, the relative advantage of private portals and the competitive pressure to adopt them have positive impacts on the achievement of competitive advantage. The empirical evidences produced by this study provide more clarifications about the factors that should be managed carefully to gain competitive advantage from the adopted information system innovations.

Abstract
Management learning poses some challenges, firstly students should identify all administration areas and secondly, they should understand the big picture of an organizational context, by integrating all the studied areas. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are the backbone of any organization, in terms of information management systems integration. The usage of these systems is important in terms of management in any organization, and ERP's can facilitate the management learning process. The main objectives of this study are to understand if the ERP usage supports management learning, and to identify the main determinants of individual performance. This study presents a success model of ERP usage for learning management context. The model was validated empirically through a survey answered by university management students. The results show that system quality, process quality, and training play a determinant role in the students' performance.

Abstract
Purpose
Intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) are a supplemental educational tool that offers great benefits to students and teachers. The systems are designed to focus on an individual’s characteristics, needs and preferences in an effort to improve student outcomes. Despite the potential benefits of such systems, little work has been done to investigate the impact of ITS on users. To provide a more nuanced understanding of the effectiveness of ITS, the purpose of this paper is to explore the role of several ITS parameters (i.e. knowledge, system, service quality and task–technology fit (TTF)) in motivating, satisfying and helping students to improve their learning performance.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were obtained from students who used ITS, and a structural equation modeling was deployed to analyze the data.
Findings
Data analysis revealed that the quality of knowledge, system and service directly impacted satisfaction and improved TTF for ITS. It was found that TTF and student satisfaction with ITS did not generate higher learning performance. However, student satisfaction with ITS did improve learning motivation and resulted in superior learning performance. Data suggest this is due to students receiving constant and constructive feedback while simultaneously collaborating with their peers and teachers.
Originality/value
This study verifies that there was a need to assess the benefits of ITS. Based on the study’s findings, theoretical and practical implications are proposed.

Abstract
Purpose
The proliferation of information technology has changed the banking system globally. Internet technology has not only allowed banks to offer products and services but also improved their ability to retain customers. This study aims to examine internet banking user’s continuance intention by integrating two well-known theories DeLone and McLean information system success model (D&M) and self-determination theory (SDT).
Design/methodology/approach
The research model was tested using survey data from 398 customers of commercial banks. The respondents were internet banking users. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
Findings
The results revealed that internet banking user continuance intention is jointly determined by information quality (INFQ), service quality, satisfaction, introjected regulation, external regulation, intrinsic regulation and identified regulation. The integrated model explained 75.4 per cent variation in customer’s continuance intention to use internet banking. The results suggested that intrinsic regulation and identified regulation were the most important human motivation factors that drive customer’s intention toward continue use of internet banking.
Practical implications
The findings imply that managers seeking user satisfaction should focus on INFQ and service quality to enhance user continuance intention. Policymakers should focus on intrinsic and identified regulation of internet banking users. Some of the ways banks can do this is to develop enjoyable internet banking website with kind of reward system, activities that have the charm of novelty, challenge or aesthetic significance will help to improve user’s intention to continue use of internet banking.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the literature by integrating D&M and SDT in continuance intention and different from several traditional studies that had investigated the initial acceptance of internet banking users.

Abstract
The concept of Industry 4.0 has considerably altered the way organisations operate and has impacted every aspect of life. Furthermore, the fast-growing trend of information technology (IT) transformation in organisations and huge IT investment by Malaysian government have triggered the significance of IT risk and its related controls. Besides, technology-enabled auditing and IT-oriented audit procedures have become crucial when performing audit tasks in an electronic environment. Although many initiatives are being implemented to improve technology usage, audit technology use among auditors is still low and auditors are not attaining sufficient progress in the use of technology. This implies the current strategies and policies may not effectively support technology implementation. In the same vein, the under-utilisation of technologies was reported due to inadequate governance. Thus, this study intends to investigate the impact of IT governance on audit technology performance. IT governance is a mechanism to stimulate anticipated behavior in the use of technology among the employees of an organisation. Surveys using closed-ended questionnaires were distributed to approximately 309 Malaysia public sector auditors. The results show that IT governance mechanisms such as IT strategy and management support significantly influence the audit technology performance. IT governance does play a significant role in assuring the successful utilisation of audit technology.

Purpose
Firms invest much money in information technology (IT) since IT support has been recognized as a critical enabler of employee outcomes. However, the value obtained by organizations and their employees is not always as much as they anticipated because of, at least partly, a poor relationship between IT staff and users. The purpose of this paper is to apply the social capital theory to examine relationship management between IT and business and explores mechanisms through which social capital between IT staff and users affect users’ employee outcomes, including job satisfaction and job performance.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on social capital theory and past literature, the researchers propose a research model and explore the effect of social capital on knowledge sharing, IT users’ perceived service quality, job satisfaction and ultimately job performance. Based on a survey of 289 respondents, this study applies the partial least square technique to test the research model.
Findings
Mediation test was performed to explore the effect mechanisms of social capital on employee outcomes, and the results indicate that three dimensions of social capital affect IT users’ job satisfaction and job performance in different approaches.
Originality/value
This study uses social capital theory to direct how to improve the poor relationship between IT staff and users and provides a useful insight into the mechanisms through which three dimensions of social capital improve users’ job satisfaction and job performance.

Abstract
E-commerce (EC) success and related influencing factors have not been investigated properly in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while these businesses possess very different characteristics as compared to large businesses. The purpose of this study is to provide a better and clearer understanding of business-to-business (B2B) EC value and success within SMEs, particularly in emerging economies. Rooted in the information system (IS) diffusion and success literature and organizational research background, this paper develops an integrative research model to assess the success of B2B EC among Iranian and Malaysian SMEs. To interpret the success of B2B EC, we viewed EC success dimensions and relevant determinants from the perspectives of all users at the business network unit level. The result of testing this model on 130 business network units revealed that in addition to technological characteristics of EC including information, system and service quality, different SME-related organizational determinants such as perceived usefulness of EC, top management support and commitment and EC knowledge are crucial for successful B2B EC among SMEs. The findings offer valuable insights to managers, EC/IS experts and policy makers responsible for assisting SMEs with successfully engaging in B2B EC.

Abstract
This study aims to understand how firms in developing countries can effectively use their Information System (IS) resources to develop valuable e-collaboration capabilities that in turn improve business performance. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted to collect data from 408 Iranian and Malaysian manufacturing firms. Findings revealed that Supply Chain-Wide Process Integration (SCPI) and Collaborative Knowledge Management (CKM) are key IS-enabled capabilities that enhance performance gain of manufacturing firms. The work found that these capabilities serve as catalysts in transforming the value of IS resources controlled by firms into business performance improvement. The results suggest that SCPI, as a determinant of a highly integrated and dynamic supply chain, is an important intermediate organizational capability through which value of IS resources can be materialized. Likewise, the findings imply that CKM across a given supply network, as a valuable intermediate organizational capability, converts the benefits of both technical and human IS resources into performance gain at the corporate level.

Abstract
Information technology (IT) has become the backbone for many of today’s organizations in the private and public sectors. However, identifying users’ information satisfaction as well as their perception of the strengths and weaknesses of IT service represents a major challenge for IT management. This research explored the perceived IT service quality (SQ) and user satisfaction (US), the effect of SQ on US, and the impact of a number of demographic and situational characteristics on SQ and US in the Ministry of Communications (MOC) of Kuwait. Three SQ dimensions have emerged, including empathy/assurance, reliability, and tangibles. Users, however, are not certain about the quality of the provided IT service. They are also somewhat satisfied with the systems they regularly use. Age, nationality, job type, sector type, and system use varyingly affect SQ and US. SQ has also emerged as an important determinant of US. These findings as well as their implications are further discussed in the paper.
